It sure was! My game ended like this…
With me stuck in the exit unable to leave or move. 😂

No I’m not new and I’m not surprised.
Which is why I said:

As I’m getting sick of this ######### happening every single time something new gets added to the game. It’s beyond a joke now.

@Bangarang your prgrsss should still be there, try adding them to your library again from the store. I have an issue where my ST DLC didn’t move over because it was included in my base game but when I go to buy them in the store they are all wearing the charms I left on them 😂
I didn’t buy the Stranger Things chapter though. I bought the characters separately from the store. So I can’t add them to my library again. 🥲

All of mine have gone too. I’m also on PS5. I hope this doesn’t reset any of my in game data because I had every survivor P3 L50. 😭

AGREED. That fit especially the wig traumatized my eyes.
and yeah I pair the jacket with her pink hair and black skirt.
I ALSO RUN HER DAPHNE LOOK. I didn't know anyone else did. ( Or saw it. )
and I don't know who Jennie is tbh. I don't actually like K-pop itself, though I do love its fashion and some K-dramas.
But yeah who knows? They might? They're not very consistent with her style at all so anything could be possible.
I wear it a lot as it makes me laugh. When me and my 2 friends play together we make her look like The Powerpuff Girls…
Jennie is a member from BLACKPINK. She’s the girl wearing the black / gold outfit that you liked.
-
When the MMR was active I had pretty useless teammates for the most part who didn’t seem to realise those things that spawn on the map, I think they’re called generators? Can actually be repaired. Now that it’s been turned off my teammates are still virtually the same. I guess gen allergy season is among us?

Yeah I know. I love that fit but I really don't think they know what they want to do with her. Because her base outfit and her alternate she dropped with, the one that isn't linked? Are all elegant and mature but just artistically colored and color-blocked.
The blue one I could still see someone 30-ish wearing it. Early 30's. If they're still like young and bubbly or like . . . Utada Hikaru or somebody. ( She can do no wrong. )
But yeah I don't think they know what they want to do with her. That Neon outfit was . . . an act of terrorism and didn't seem to fit her character at all. :(
The headpiece and pants from the neon cosmetic were so offensive to the eyes it almost caused BLACKPINK to disband.
I’m not gonna lie though, I did like the jacket and when you paired it with other cosmetics, it kinda slapped lol.
Although I love her colourful cosmetics (I’m currently using her Daphne Blake outfit) I would love for something darker. She’d look stunning in something black / gold.
Is her Jennie Kim era finally coming?

Ooooh I love that black one with the gold buttons. With the belt and fingerless gloves?
I think the rest of them might be too young for her and too much like a " K-pop star "
She is in her like mid-late thirties, possibly forties after all and isn't a performer. But I loooove Yun-Jin she and Feng Min are my alts. ~
That’s my favourite one too! Lol
I’m not sure how old she’s actually supposed to be, but she wears things like this…
Which still seem extremely youthful to me.
There’s so many amazing cosmetics that could be made for her. So excited for her upcoming Tome. Don’t let us down design team. 🙏🏻

You’ll get more consistency out of Sprint Burst as you have more control of when to use it, but Adrenaline is also a great perk because of the many situations you can find yourself in and wishing you had it. I don’t agree that it’s only useful in SWF. I’ve got plenty of use out of it in solo lobbies.
The ‘problem’ I had with Adrenaline is that I found myself not being injured when the last generator got repaired so the only benefit I got was being able to get towards an exit gate faster.
I view Adrenaline as a similar perk to DS and Unbreakable. It’s a perk you don’t always get to use but it’s one you wish you had during certain scenarios.

Spirit main here.
Predator is crap don't fall for it. Total trap. Scratch marks are unreliable and easily juked and it removes marks from walls. Do NOT I REPEAT DO NOT become over dependent on scratch marks with this killer. She is about sound. Her strongest addon removes scratch marks FFS...
Stridor is mandatory on her. Yea, you can play without it but I would trade all 3 other perks for Stridor if I had to make that decision. Getting Stridor on Spirit is like the transcendence limitless meme. Headphones are mandatory too(Even more so.)
She isn't an easy killer. She isn't hard like Blight or Nurse but she isn't easy. Everyone just hates her with the burning passion of a 1000 hells so they say she can be played by a lobotomized snail.
She is like a reverse plague/legion. Her biggest strength is easily downing wounded survivors. Like if you are wounded vs a Spirit you may as well already be down. She is gonna ######### get you and there is very little you can do to stop it. She can track you and appear out of nowhere and down you instantly. You can't track her at all. You need to move erratically and be unpredictable.
I do well against her as survivor but that is because I play her and most Spirits are used to survivors panicking against her and acting like chickens with their heads cut off. I see so many idiot survivors do the dumbest stuff vs her. Like run in straight lines or camp pallets... WHILE WOUNDED! That is a death sentence vs Spirit.
Her biggest flaw is that she like every killer that is amazing at chases is slow with map pressure which is why I recommend Corrupt on her.
Is she OP? Maybe but I don't care and I will protest any attempt to nerf her lol. 😁
LMAO got to love the honesty.
I’m currently levelling up my Plague but I’ll work on Spirit next so I can have some Stridor games. 😈

If you like kills, then uh... Yeah, with stridor she's the killer for you.
If you like, ya know, actually putting in effort then either don't use stridor or stick to someone else lol
The thing I like the most about the killers I play is how much fun I have. Win or lose. Which is why I had issues with Stridor-less Spirit as I wasn’t having fun in any of my games. I just kept thinking “I wish I was Deathslinger” or “I wish I was Demogorgon” right now as I feel more comfortable with how they operate and actually enjoy my matches.

That I did, but keep in mind that post said without headphones. So in other words, where Stridor would be null and void.
Predator is nice in that scratch marks basically become a red line to victory but suffers from two major drawbacks: faking scratch marks is easier than faking sound, and it's still inaccurate as ######### about 40% of the time.
Predator is good as a second option but I'd still say Stridor just because it takes all of her lovely (read: incredibly limited) counterplay only available in the form of perks, and shits on it, before some serious defenstation occurs.
Ahh I didn’t remember the thread clearly enough so I didn’t realise it was in regards to not using headphones.
I fake scratch marks a lot. I often pretend I’m in a locker when I’ve just walked past. When I play killer, I normally use sound and visual cues to locate survivors as I find scratch marks to be too unreliable.
I’ll unlock Stridor on her and see how I feel but I can’t see me becoming a Spirit main any time soon. I’d miss Clowns big belly too much. 🤡

And those fifteen minutes that precede it?
When the camera suddenly cuts to black and the credits appear it's the movie's way of saying "Congratulations, you have now made it through hell on Earth". A masterpiece of a film.
It’s definitely one of the best of its kind. Another that is perfect to me is the ending to the original Halloween. The music. The imprint of Michael on the grass. The breathing. Just 👏🏻 all around.

Ya I always felt this way too. I actually really like the character but am not very good with her at all. Could also be because I don't use stridor and scratch marks are like 5 meters delayed when I use her. Never noticed it when i was any other killer but her.
I’m glad I’m not alone. I just never understood why I struggled so much as Spirit but not other lower tier killers. Honestly though, it could just be personal preference. She might just not be a killer that’s suited for my play style. But I’m not giving up on her just yet.

If you realize a survivor likes to start walking when you enter phase just stand still and wait for them to start walking, then start phasing towards them.
That works in some scenarios. I know how to do the whole ‘fake phase’ trick but my issue was more with when they’d just hold W and then as soon as I started to phase they wouldn’t be running anymore and would disappear lol. As soon as they break LOS and start walking I really struggled to locate which direction they went in. A lot of it will just come down to me having to play her more.

There's a bit that goes into healthy tracking and Iron Will tracking.
You can still hear survivor breathing, but it has a hard cutoff at 8 meters if they're healthy and not running. The quality of your headphones will go a long way in this regard. There are also tweaks you can make with spatial sound and equalizers depending on how far you want to take it.
Then there's the actual technique aspect of it. Spirit is a killer who sometimes has to go slow to go fast. Healthy survivors and Iron Will users often make a series of moves to try and juke you. Spirit can simply stand and watch the first juke and then begin her phase. I like to also trigger her idle animation reset at this point because a very small portion of survivors know to look for it. Just tap M2 and immediately let it go, then phase once your power is back.
During the phase, I like to kind of stutter step instead of going full blast in any one direction. Because breathing is intermittent, you can blow right past a survivor between breaths and not know it. If they didn't leave scratch marks, they didn't go far.
Pay very close attention to any visual indicators. Grass, corn, dust on pallets, crows, etc.
Spirit takes a lot more skill against good players than people give her credit for. It takes time to develop your phasing techniques and learn the audio queues and subtleties.
Thanks for this. I’ll have to give her another go and see if I can become better / learn to actually enjoy her. I’m just not used to having to guess where survivors are as I normally play Clown, Deathslinger and Legion and they just operate completely different.
My headset has good audio quality and I can often hear tiny details such as people sneaking up on you on FPS games. I just kept getting maps like Badham Preschool and as soon as the Iron Will survivors ran to the school or one of the other buildings they’d disappear after I phased. It didn’t help that they were efficient on generators as well as I felt like I had no time to make mistakes.
I might just try to learn her whilst using Stridor and when I feel comfortable enough, I’ll try her without and see how I do. I love her visual design and really want to like her.

Ignore when people like to call Spirit easy. It's either being uninformed or simply disingenuous. It stems from people just hating Spirit. She requires more skill than most of the killer roster.
It just always confuses me as I constantly see her being called ‘easy mode’ yet I struggled when I played as her. And I see killers like Clown being called weak and I got to rank 1 by using Clown, Deathslinger and Legion.
I wasn’t sure if I was doing something wrong by not being able to pick her up straight off the bat. I accidentally ended up on an old Otzdarva video last night and it was when Spirit first came out and he classed her as having a high skill cap. It’s just funny how that narrative has completely changed now lol.
I’ll stick at it. I don’t have an ego when it comes to games and I shouldn’t expect myself to be good at every killer. I’ll try her some more but she might just not be my cup of tea and that’s fine.

@Blueberry said:
If the survivors are actually using Iron Will and you're not using Stridor she's barely even B tier. People like to mock and call Stridor a crutch and it just shows how little they actually play it from both sides. If the survivors are actually silent because you're not running Stridor it is literally you just guessing every time.
As long as Iron Will exists in the meta, you need Stridor, just equip it. You can win games against complete potatoes even at rank 1 without it, but if the survivors are even the slightest bit competent you're gonna get dunked.
I just had a miserable time playing as her but I think it’s because I only had 2 perks and neither of them were Stridor. I was against high ranks and they knew to walk when I was phasing and because I literally had zero audio cues as to which direction they went, I just kept losing them. So I do understand why so many people use Stridor. Especially when learning her.
I often hear survivors moving in the grass and breathing but it’s entirely dependent on the survivor and the map. I just kept getting maps that didn’t have a lot of grass and it was like playing against Houdini lol.
I picked some killers up really fast and I expected Spirit to be the same but I really struggled as her. I’ve even played as perkless Nurse and got a 4K at red ranks. I actually find her easier to use, is that crazy of me? 😂
Maybe I just need to unlock Stridor and try her again.
-
I used it last night as I like to try out new perk changes and it just felt like a complete waste of a perk slot. I escaped one chase before it ran out and even then, there’s no guarantee I escaped the chase solely because of the perk as I was also running Iron Will and broke LOS. I know 90 seconds was a bit excessive but it just feels so worthless in its current state. I didn’t even see a single survivor using it yesterday. Only me.

I actually agree with this. You want mood lighting with a horror game. I think Dead Dog Saloon and Cold Wind Farm need to be changed to night. You can have plenty of different colors at night, in fact, I'm surprised we haven't seen any of the "blue" lighting that you see in a lot of horror movies.
And as for Texas Chainsaw massacre, most of the atmospheric parts of that movie are either inside or at night also.
Plus, lets be honest, it does affect game play. It makes it much harder for survivors to hide.
I’m not sure which TTCM movie you’ve seen but most of the memorable scenes aren’t at night...
People associate light with being safe and the dark with being in danger. Somebody or something willing to hunt you down in the harsh light of day comes across much more menacing to me.
-
I actually really dig the new atmosphere and find it somewhat creepier? I think it’s because it’s giving me major TTCM vibes.
I’m not sure if anybody else is like this, but I’m struggling to remember where loops are. Even though the layouts of the maps are virtually the same, because it looks so different I keep getting lost during chases. 😂

The Truth is that names shouldn’t be censured but they are :)
There was a thread made when the chat filter first went into effect and people were complaining that things like ‘Myers’ were censored. BUT other forum members debunked this and posted their own screenshots without anything being censored. It was later revealed that the people constantly using profanity were being given harsher censors which resulted in words that weren’t actually offensive being blocked.
So I’m pretty sure if you have a reputation for constantly using adult language, you’re going to find more and more words being blocked as the chat filter views you as having a bad reputation. 👀

If you'd read the thread, or use the chat more often, you'd see it's not only "profanity" that is censured. A lot of survivor names and map names are censured. Myers is censured.
Are names profanity? No.
And this game has profanity in itself. Addon descriptions, Ash in the lobby. Should Ash be censured when saying it in the lobby too? The game warns people of strong language and graphics when you buy it.
I’ve seen plenty of other people have no issues with random words being censored though? I’ve also read that the more profanity you use, the more the chat will start to censor words that don’t warrant it.
So what IS the truth?

And I've had 14 years old calling me slurs. Generalizations are always wrong.
I didn’t generalise though? I never said that every teenager is a saint. I said ‘A LOT’ of the time, not every time. My point was, is that being older doesn’t prove any point. As the adults can be just as bad and at times worse than what the younger people are saying.
So yes, you might be an adult but the chat filter was put in place because of the many people who don’t know how to act like a civilised human being.
If people are unable to have a conversation post-game without using profanity, doesn’t that say more about those individuals than the filter itself? 😬

When I am 27, yes I can blame them by treating the older players like they're children.
Being 27 and acting 27 are two different things. I’ve had grown ass men messaging me to ask if I wanted to meet up to have a fight because I beat them in a game.
A lot of the time it’s actually the teenagers who are the ones acting mature. 😬
