"I'm high MMR camping tunnelling..." Yada yada yada... Sure, sure...
Again, hyperbole

Thana is literally GODLIKE on Legion. I've been playing him non-stop with Plague.
I had few legion and Plague games and you're right thana matches especially with them are impossible, too slow.

@Gorgonia said:
Another problem is that the first or second survivor die before one or two gens can be completed. And that's it... you can't win with one or two people missing and 5 or 4 gens left.
Yes ! I can't count how many matches that happens to me, no gens are done yet and someone is already on the hook then they get tunneled or suicide on hook.. The match is not winnable 3v1 that early.

"Â NO ONE IS DOING 90 SEC GENS ... EVERY GAME ENDS IN 4K EASILY"
Hyperbole much? My death/kill ratio has been pretty much about 50/50 on both sides.
Just improvise, adapt and overcome.
Against high mmr nurses and blights that tunnel and proxy hooks ? Good luck.

Hey, doc is the terrible, he's a nice middle B tier killer
M1 killers are weak past update but not anymore.

@Mozic said:
You should get matched up against me - I think more survivors escaped me tonight than died...
That said the survivors who had more success stuck to loops - the 'hold W' strategy folks fared much, much worse.
You're doing something wrong.
-
It always has been the same for me nothing changes. I always get instant survivor matches but 5-10min queue time for killer matches.
-
Nope, and for hackers you need to record and upload video proof and with how much effort that takes.. not worth it.

IMO it is worse than DS. Because with DS, you had the chance of getting Endurance due to BT and then have DS, if you go down. OTR has its advantages, like working two times or not being countered by slugging. However, the overall distance is far less.
I had OTR today against an Oni. He had no problem to overcome it. (Got camped on my second Hook, so no chance for a second OTR)
True but imo 3 seconds and a chance to miss the skill check + can be countered with slugging makes it worst than OTR , I changed my perma DS slot to OTR yesterday. It's better than nothing I guess.

True, most of the time DS gets you tunneled.
Even if you didn't have DS, a killer that eats DS had the intent of tunneling you all along.
-
Holding m1 is boring, if they made gens more engaging with mini games like in among us for example it would've been much more fun to do gens.
-
It works through both hook states so it's better than DS now but it won't give you much distance compared to DS sadly so you're going down anyway.

Well they weren't just nerfing perks, they were genuinely trying to make the changes awful so that people would be forced to find a new meta.
If another meta was possible people would've used it... But only these nerfed perks were the decent ones, now survivors are underpowered.
-
Survivors will get buffs soon after cosmetic sales drop.
-
Gens were deadly boring to do and now it's even way worst so less survivors gonna commit to them.

Tbh I love it Haha, it's like "Welcome to RPD"
Yeah it's awesome like everyone is heading into the unknown for the first time.
-
I noticed on RPD everyone spawns together on the main exit gate.
-
Or at least add text chat.
-
When is the update going live?
-
26th? ######### I'm waiting for it to be released tomorrow..
-
In my case every survivor that doesn't get unhooked after 0.1 second just suicides on hook, just be patient some times a gen is 80-90% plus sometimes killers are camping.
-
It's not that great but it's easier that RPD and some other maps.
-
I know that feeling... After I was a killer main exclusively for 600 hours I moved to survivor and never looked back, it's much peaceful and easier experience and the only boring part is gens. I play killer rarely now days.
-
I'll just return to completing single player games because there is no fun multiplayer game out there for me anymore.
-
I only played him for the first 2 weeks of his release and I lost interest.
-
I bought her long ago and played her for a white before the nerf but I had to use stridor all the time since I can't wear headsets they hurt my ears so using speakers I can't hear survivors properly, I just gave up on her ages ago but I will try her again next patch.
She's on of my most hated killer to go against I can't properly hear her direction you can't loop her you can't drop pallets safely it's just pain not a fun killer to go against but I never see her again since the nerf.
-
Finish gens = open exit gates = tbag the killer.. That's the real main objective to survivors.
-
It's usually to Tbag or to let you know that you lost and you can't get them.
-
Had one of the best potentials , Visually it's stunning best killer in that aspect in animations and sounds it's super satisfying to play her. Gameplay is a lot of fun but her power is weak she has no anti loop and her teleport / contamination powers are limited and weak. She needs a mini rework or buffs to make her more viable but seeing that killers as old as Myers didn't get any love I doubt she'd get anything other that some minors buffs eventually.
-
During normal circumstances getting a down before the nerf takes about the same or more duration of Corrupt so you will get the same value pretty much unless survivors are grouping and you're playing someone that can down survivors quickly like nurse or blight.
-
Artist is more like Literal pain tier, boring power that takes so much time to use and gets boring quickly, I can't stand playing her. Twins are quite fun tho speeding around the map with Victor and hitting survivors, Twins are fun but not viable.
-
Can we at least get Mr X tyrant skin.
-
@Advorsus said:
This is exactly what would happen. It would go from DBD to being ass slapping sim 3000 lol
And survivors have the animation for it too perfect lol.

Until a survivor touches it or hits 0 progress.
So they changed it into a manual ruin ? lol
-
So for how long the 200% regression speed lasts ?
-
Nurse - Midwich 😈
-
Next ranged killer should use a bow and obviously you load arrows from lockers but it needs to be different than huntress gameplay wise.
-
It's a meme perk after the nerf it doesn't work in normal situations you will always end up on a hook before you can wiggle off so it's only usable in certain areas of maps where you can't reach hooks quickly enough.
-
My survivor games are instant all the time but whenever I play killer It takes me 5+ mins to find a match it's annoying.
-
It gives nearby slugged survivors a chance to wiggle off killers instead of getting hooked on the same hook.
-
I know that feeling, it's the only game that gives me massive anxiety when I want to play killer because it's so frustrating and survivors are toxic.
-
She's great visually and sounds wise / animations but she's just another m1 killer with a worst stealth than Wraith, she needs anti loop to be viable.
-
Worst:
Nurse - Doctor - Spirit
Best :
Ghost Face - Bubba - Myers
-
Why is this Otz worshipped in this community?

If I can't give up on hook I'll just run at the killer or AFK. Play Uno on my phone until I'm out. Ppl who don't wanna play the game, won't. Whether it's inconvenient or not. I'm playing solo queue. If I'm doing all this work just to see the other survivors are doing nothing. Crouched up in a corner somewhere. Or it's a killer I genuinely hate going against (Legion, Nurse, etc.) Trust I'mma get outta that game one way or another.
Because it's easy to suicide you will do it game after game whenever you want but the other methods going afk or running to the killer will take you a lot more time, if your goal is just to go next game getting out of the game without suicide will stack up a lot. You will instead either DC and face the timer or play afk simulator and get reported.
Everyone is entitled in DBD it's annoying, if you're not ready to play as match don't because being selfish is running everyone's else game it's team based, 4 players are needed to finish 5 gens.

yeah... except it wouldn't. if someone doesn't want to play the game, trust me, they won't. they can just as easily run at the killer after being unhooked and refuse to do anything useful for the team. how do u stop that?
Doing that takes longer and it's more inconvenient thus survivors will do it less, now it's very common because it's fast and easy to do and it doesn't punish you with a timer like disconnecting does.
If they know that suiciding doesn't work anymore the majority will play the match instead.

Literally this! I can't count the amount of time I seen someone dc because the got caught out in a deadzone with a bubba. Put the dcer's and suiciders in there own queue that will show'em what it's like on the other end.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3036175#Comment_3036175
So you never been guilty of trying a sabo build, flashlight build or treasure hunting build? Some survivor could be cleansing totems, doing tome challenges ya its annoying but can you really tell me you never did this before.
Brilliant idea a system like GTA Online and many other games that pain bad sports together so you play with similar players to you and rewards good sport survivors by putting them together but BHVR doesn't like doing such changes sadly.

It would make more sense to remove the reasons why people suicide on Hook. The thing is, as Solo Survivor you will not care too much about the other teammates if you can get into the next game.
I mean, sure, if you get camped, the best thing is to be on the Hook for the full 2 minutes to allow your team to escape. But I would not blame Solo-players if they dont want to do that.
We will also see an increase in Hook-Suicides with the new Patch. With some of the Slowdown possible on Killers like Legion or Plague, I bet quite a bunch of Survivors will just suicide, because there is not really a point to play against Plage when Gens take 2 1/2 minutes to do Solo.
So, yeah... Removing stuff which makes people suicide on Hook would be the right way to do. You will obviously still have people suiciding no matter what, this will always happen. But it will happen less frequently, e.g. yesterday an Ace suicided against a Bubba. Camped a Pallet and got downed because of that. His own mistake, this person will always give up on first Hook, nothing you can change.
But for example: Less Survivors will DC against a Blight with no Add-Ons than against a Blight with Alchemists Ring.
I'm telling it's not even camping just randomly people suiciding because killer found them first or they couldn't loop for too long or a they get hit through a pallet.. Like most of them suicide and the killer is far away looking for someone else and it's not fair for the 3 others working so hard on finishing the gens it's bs.

@EliskaMM said:
I get your frustration but if I'm running the killer for 5 mins and no gen pops, I end up on a hook and I see two survivors healing while one is either hiding or being chased and I go to struggle.. I'm not waiting anymore and just want to leave.
Why should I get punished for potatoes in my lobby? It's not that hard to hold M1
You're ruining the game for everyone, the self unhook mechanic is being abused to leave games without penalties instead of disconnecting.
Removing the whole mechanic or fixing it so that you can't die quickly on your command is going to force everyone to play the game or disconnect and face the penalties.
-
@Slowpeach said:
Personally I'd remove the self escape mechanic altogether outside of deliverance. I don't know why it's even there. Slippery meat could simply increase the time it takes for the hook to actually kill you instead and decrease the time it takes to unhook you.
I was thinking just about that after posting lol, removing the whole thing won't make a difference since it's very rare to get lucky with it and it will eliminate the suicide on hook problem.
