explain how stalking a survivor debuffs them without add ons
I feel like you fail consider that ghost faces power isn’t exactly supernatural it needs to make sense
How does the killer slow down the survivors by just staring at them and then make them impaired for the duration of the expose
This isn’t even incorporating perks and add ons that add to these incredibly high numbers.
You’re suggestion is cheap and sure makes him stronger but in a unhealthy way and would make ghost face hated and cheap to play againstThats what im talking. He needs to be buffed but not became too opressive and also lore accurate. So my changes would be better

99% is core part of ghostface identity and 99% properly is skill in itself.
I think that 95% not decreasing metre would be good change. Cause ghostface can no longer tap his power right behind survivors without nothing they can do. And need stalk the last 5% to give survivors some distance. Plus this nerfs compensate to faster night shroud cooldown, better stalking from afar and improved addons
-
@Devil_hit11 said:
ghostface does not need nerf. i think there 3 changes that could be given to ghostface to make him better at base-kit.
- When a survivor is marked, they suffer a 10% hindered status effect for 5 seconds. The goal is to give ghostface a major burst of speed to get first hit when he successfully marks.
- When a survivor is fully marked, they suffer 25% action speed decrease towards repairing generators. This rewards ghostface for leaving chases if he does not successfully down the survivor in the burst of speed. Current ghostface has time-sink to mark survivors but does not have incentive to leave survivor creating sunk cost fallacy to his power where he feels obligated to keep chasing the survivor even if the chase is not favorable for him with the mark. Also his mark does not have any effect when a survivor is injured. This grants mark the ability to have an effect when survivor is injured.
- Increased Stalking action speed when leaning from 200% to 250%. This reduces stalking time when leaning to 2 seconds from 2.5 seconds allowing ghostface to have greater chance to mark survivors when leaning.
Here is TL:DR.
- Increased Stalking action speed when leaning from 200% to 250%.
- Marked survivors suffer a 25% action speed repair.
- When a survivor is fully marked, They suffer 10% hindered status effect for first 5 seconds.
All add-on remain unchanged.
The only nerf i mentioned is his ability 99 survivors. Every other changes is buffs

Chaos shuffle for me is playing perkless with garbage perk that do nothing as killer and survivor using perks that i rarely play against but end up making the match harder.

the survivor side almost always better perks. Like what i am suppose to do with insidious, Hex:two can play, Undone and Spirit fury. these are just pointless perks that do nothing. spirit fury, you use it and the survivor get to another loop anyway. Undone is pointless. insidious is irrelevant for 7 years. hex:two can play is pointless hex. why is it even a hex, this perk could be base-kit and it would do nothing.
Its totally opposite killers almost always have better perks

... we're going to regret asking but what do you mean by "equal condition"?
Both side has equal chance to win unlike chaos shuffle when for you being generated garbage perks and for your opponent full meta (work for both killer and survivor)
-
@GeneralV said:
Uhh, it is random. The other side isn't guaranteed to have better perks than you, it is all up to luck. I don't think players should be able to choose items and add-ons, but other than that this modifier is pretty nice.
And no, no Lights Out again. Twice we've had it and twice Freddy was excluded. I don't wanna deal with that for the third time.
You have less than 1% see Freddy in the main game, so lights out didnt do that much

I disagree. I think this game mode is just fun overall. I mean… The thing is… I can't take the match seriously coz I didn't pick the perks I have, nor the other side, so if anything goes out of the plan - I just don't really care.
On the other side - I think this game mode is testing your knowledge about the perks and how to use them (getting value from). I'm all for that.
LIGHTS OUT?! No please… Not this thing…
at least in light out both sides in equal condition

I got no mither, Selfcare and scene partner today in same match and i wasnt sour. I escaped and laughed all match. You don't have to play this mode if you don't like it. Go back to normal. Many of us are enjoying it since we don't have to see the same 4 perks from both sides all the time.
Plus its not about what you gen but what other side get and the other side perk is always better than yours no matter side you played

NO please, not again. There was never a worse thing than lights out, the concept of not seeing anything is not fun and it hurts my eyes after a while.
The only thing I'd accept would be just taking the no perks-, no addons-aspect from lights out maybe add bloodpoint-offerings but let map-offerings out of it and it's a fun mode at least for me.
nothing can be worse no mither+selface or bloodhound+territorial imperative when other side has (eruption+ pain res in survivor match and woo+lithe in killer match)

The purple and iri add ons are the only ones that change it noticeably. His camera is the only one that is like a need to run but yea he needs more variety.
I mean hes very dependent for his grey addons (1st for stalking and 2-nd for shorter cooldown)
-
His cooldown is very long and most of his addons are boring (not weak, but just stat increase or niche aura reading)

I mean Im not really opposed to it, but it would still be the worst perk in the game
Nothing can be worse than shattered hope. And 30% can be good when survivors hugging walls and fake to vault a window and unrelenting can help cath them before they go on second run in this structure. Also good against spin tag

I find it funny Killer mains always say a killer is "weak" just based on their personal feeling. In an assymetrical game like this the only way to tell if a character is strong or weak is how they actually perform in game.
I say this cause i play against cenobite a lot and his pressure mediocrce at best.

Yes he is. He’s always been. He wrecks in solo queue.
And thats a biggest question why? How this weak killer has huge killrate and became solo crusher. Hes passive slowdown one of the most easiest to avoid (if he doesnt have iri box addon) and his m2 anti loop much weaker version of Doctor.

If a killer round is going poorly it is much easier to just sit in a corner and go get something to eat or stretch or whatever, the gens will be done in minutes and the survivors will always have someone that opens the door so they cant sit there behind you for an hour. If survivors dc they get replaced by bots, if a killer disconnects everyone gets kickd out, all offerings wasted, barely any points gained for anybody and to have the entire round just instantly end because someone hit the killer with a pallet for the third time and he wasnt happy seems rediculous as every round would never involve the exit gates. Part of playing killer is staying away from the ones that annoy you most and once the rest are gone that person is helpless, especially if u find the hatch first and them, all they can do is try to loop you till they die
If killer is dc-ed that means this is survivors fault (cause they do something to make killer dc) so wasting offerings is just karma. Thats a reason why dc penalty only for killers should be gone.

the current killer perk buffs are so uninspired and uninteresting. like predator and genetic limits and Thwack~, i hope they're next set of killer perk buffs are more interesting. i wish they would buff perk that i actively want to use, not perk that are like Z-tier pre-change and still pointless after change.
But there is more weak perks for both sides that needs to be changes like territotial emperative, no mither, bloodhound, stridor and etc.

- ”It would be the same if both roll was equal. But for now playing survivors is an ez mod.”
1) Survivors Mains would disagree that survivor is an “Easy Mode/Mod”. As a killer main. Survivor is not easy..it’s nearly a 42% chance to escape.
”And a killer roll is hard mode when you need to be sweaty and play on comp level to atleast make a tie.”
2) Killers are nearly at 60% in kill rates. The odds are in your favor.
“So dc penalty for killers should be gone according how frustrating and hard this role are compare to ez mode survivor role.”
3) It’ll only increase queue times more and that could be a while to wait based of a region that already has to wait a hot minute. As killer, you are alone. You have to think for yourself. Outsmart the survivors. Your mistakes are yours alone.
“And killer would not dc so often if developers stop listening survivors only and actually make game fun for killers.”4) Not sure if we are playing the same game, but killers are getting a lot of tweaks and buffs for the most part. The developers have stated over and over they do NOT favor one side over the other. Also, survivors have gotten a lot of nerfs within a years timeframe.
From everything you said, you sound like you’re struggling to play as killer and you will need to find new strats for yourself on what works best.
Maybe find a different killer or a killer main friend to help you. If that doesn’t work then killer isn’t for you.
(Not sure why it’s bullet pointing my stuff and spacing. Sorry)
And saying that developers is not survivor sided is just strange. Look how they Freddy and SM not because they strong but cause survivors cry over how unfun they are (translate as i cant loop this killer on 5 gen and then tbag them on exit gate). Imagine if killer main cry about survivor perk and this getting gutted from very strong to very situational perk (no, cause this never happened)

I m not struggling as a killer but i need to play much more sweaty than with survivor. And survivor role is objectively much easy. When your teammate looping killer you and other 2 doing gen rush, if you or your teammate play badly, there is 1 pro survivor who fix all your mistakes. When on killer side one bad chase can cost your entire game. Also it includes how many second chances perks survivors have make them more chill and relaxing to play, when killer only have noed and 1% chance to proke bloodwarden.

With nerfs to nurse not being able to use expose perks. Expose perk are not popular perks for killer to select. I would like to see some buffs to expose killer perks.
Starstruck: Increased exposed duration from 30 second to 45 seconds, cooldown reduced from 30 second to 15 seconds
Hubris: Increased exposed from 20 to 30 seconds. removed cooldown.
Make your choice: Removed cooldown from the perk, reduced exposed distance trigger from 32 meter to 24 meters.
Friend till the end: Increased exposed duration from 20 second to 30 seconds.
Starstruck: agree it needs a buff
Hubris: Increase exposed duration would be enough
Make your choice: perk is fine by now
Friend till the End: Maybe 5 more second would be enough

Survivors are not doing this….and yes it would. It would affect queue times horribly. Survivors get penalized for dcing, as for hooks. It’s not always instant. Sometimes they Coby, sometimes someone gets them anyways. There’s time in between. Hence why it doesn’t hurt queue times.
It would be the same if both roll was equal. But for now playing survivors is an ez mod, killers could do almost nothing against huge survivors buff. They’re viable options. Losing is part of the game.
Removing dc penalty for killer is a horrible idea. That would be dumb to implement that. Killers would dc at any small inconvenience and not be penalized.
So, new idea please.Survivors already doing this without penalty and game is still alive, so it wont be the end of the world if killer could do same. And if game ends to early it would be only survivors fault (cause they do something wrong to upset killer)

None of this option are good. Just remove dc penalty (only for killers)

Official killrate/escape rate actually proved my position. Killrate is lower than ever. And escape rate is huge especially in SWF.

The devs said their stats show that on average killers kick a singular gen much less than 8 times, which is why they chose that number of regression events. They didn't anticipate many killers will reach that amount, and in my experience thats been the case. If you were kicking gens 10+ times pre-update, then it sounds like you were the one of those players this change was targeted toward.
Thats a main problem they choose average and highest amount of kick to balance around that. And this change was only buff for bad survivors who forced 3 gen by themself. That a true reason why this game is heavily survivor sided. Survivors left 3 gen situation that is only their mistake but punished for this was only a killer. Its not a big problem like when they give endurance after unhooking (also reward bad survivor gameplay). Play survivor is already ez mode and devs only do this much easier with every patch (no wonder that killrates except SM on a bottom of a marianna trench)

As new perks continue to be introduced and some are changed to become aura perks,
I can see the nurse blinking to you and hitting you free hit because she simply sees your aura using the new Predator perk.
Or the the pyramid head uses his power and hits you from behind the wall with a free hit because he saw your aura using the new Zashan Tactics perk.
This has to stop, nobody likes free hits.
Don't think I'm asking for huge changes and huge Nerfs, but I think the easiest solution is the blindness status effect ((((for some killers)))) like the nurse when charging blink so can't see the aura of survivors and she doesn't blink directly to the survivor and hit directly.
This does not prevent her from using aura perks as long as she has not used her power yet.
Exactly the same thing with the pyramid head.
There are killers I didn't mention but I chose these two as to clarify my words.
Non of those killer deserve such nerfs. Nurse already have limited perk she can use. And pyramid head strong and fun killer also include aura perks works great on him. Having permanent invisibility is also not good for the game and thats a main reason why distortion needs to be nerfed.

I'm completely okay with Vanishing Box being nerfed, they either could've nerfed it like they are or they could've made it more expensive (make it a purple addon and move Homemade Mask down to green maybe?). It was a little too powerful for a green addon. A lot of his other weaker addons need some changes too though.
I'm not sure I'm a fan of the charge movement speed change, we'll have to see how it is on the PTB but I didn't feel like there was anything wrong with it especially since being able to tap your power to delay hallucination spawns is a pretty important part of his kit.
Blurry Photo becoming partial-basekit is good.
The problem is UVX can feel more clunky even than now. And his teleport is already good. Thats what im talking they buff strong part of his kit and nerf a "situational" part of his kit . Lets hope imroved visual would be actually helpfull. Also what kind of addon not irl is worth now? (i am beginner to learn him and except vanishing box and 2 irl addons any other feel kinda meh or situational)
-
The only think that hard to understand what they mean by improved visual when using UVX
-
Agree. They even shadow nerfed freddy with this patch (dead man's switch)
-
Almost all changes good except SM overnerfed and Unknown changes are also meh (Teleport is already the most powerful part of his kit and UVX feels unrewarding and they buff teleports and nerf UVX). Also Finishing Mori is trash idea from the beginning (it only creates even more slugging)

Bring Forced Penance if your so upset with bodyblocking. Also people bodyblock cause they have basekit bt and you showed up at hook. Has nothing to do with ds.
But the problem with ds that they can bodyblock and then go away almost free cause how long stun and also use haste perk
-
@jesterkind said:
They nerfed it because they buffed his basekit, though?
Well, fixed an issue with his basekit, but still. His basekit got stronger in a way that could've made the Licker Tongue too much if they didn't bring it down.
Too much? Hindered works only when survivors infected and hes also need to hit them 2 more times.

What i would do with both DS and OTR:
Before the first 3-5 seconds, DS works same as always. After that, if the survivor gets hit while doing a protection hit, DS deactivates. Or in the case of OTR, if it is a protection hit after the 10 seconds have passed, OTR will not give endurance and the survivor will get downed.
I think 3-5 seconds after being unhooked is more than enough to get away from your mate, if you are still near him you are protecting him. With OTR needs 10 at minimum because if you get hit on the first 10 seconds you were going to get endurance and OTR was going to deactivate anyways.
This way, if the survivor bodyblocks on purpose (uses DS or OTR offensively) they will not work.
Agree this would also be good solution
-
@Senaxu said:
It's always amusing to read such well-thought-out suggestions where you can immediately see that the person has dealt with the topic objectively.
And why do you think i subjective? Cause this changes can solve 2 problems with this perk. Agressive bodyblocking cause now they doing this cause now they can run after stun to far. Give reward equal for effect being activate (cause effect of perk is passive you dont need to do anything for perk to work and for now reward is to much for how passive and easy value from this perk). So its only make perk fair, thats all.
-
@ReverseVelocity said:
Maybe the title should have been something like: "DS should be being changed (to obliterate it and guarantee nobody uses it again)"
If by noboly use you mean use it offensive so yes this would be good change and make this perk for anti tunnel and not bodyblocking. And again why this nerfs to much for you?
