Well, it alone is one thing. Annyoing and a two for one deal for a killer; aura reading + slow down (yes, bringing items to the edge of the map does cost time plus you don't have the item; i.e. a gen is repaired slower, you can't reset yourself or save someone from being hooked, all of which translate to valuable time for surv being lost. - The edge of the map is also usually a dead zone, so a killer who catches you drop it there can easily intercept you and get a free hit).
Together with Franklin's, which on its own is already obnoxious, turns both the annoyance and the obnoxiousness up to eleven.
Actually, Weave Attunement too is rather obnoxious, now that I think about it. - Survivors are supposed to bring items, similar to how killers are supposed to bring add-ons, it's an essential part of the survivor kit. Now there's a perk that single handedly turns that essential part on its head and makes what is supposed to work for you work against you.
Imagine survivors had a perk that disables your add-ons as long as that surv is within 8m of a gen/you/a pallet/a totem/whatever, doesn't really matter.
It's the principle of "your're bringing something you're supposed to bring and then you doing what you're supposed to do is used against you."
Survivors have distortion it disable half of killer addons

I agree with mostly changes except haste being removed

It can stay gone, hook grabs were ridiculous especially in camping scenarios. Baiting the killer most of the time resulted in getting downed/grabbed and eventually killed as a result, why would anyone want that back?
Cause now unhook your teammate is very easy and killer cant do anything to secure person on hook (at max can do a hook trade)

Can we stop forgetting that legion is a killer that takes no skill and buffing them to be anything below A tier will only make them better at pubstomping
Legion either needs a full rework or zero changes, nothing in between
Yes they need a buff legion is an easy to play killer but this is no exuse to not buffing them. Tatariu make great concept about legion buffs

For same reason why its not activate pop or pain res. Cage is not a hook. And bring survivors to the cage means you win some you lose some (you shouldnt deal with long transport for survivors and also dealing with their powerful perks but also you cant trigger your perk that demand hook state)

I don't think anyone misses matches ending in 3 minutes due to killers being able to grab survivors from hook save attempts. There's a reason it was removed as well as camping. Both of them were major problems.
It was only a problem when survivors try to unhooking right on killer face. But now its kina worse cause unhooking is literally free escape and survivors do it right on front of the killer.
-
Deja Vu is fine beginner perk for survivors that encourage to break 3 gen from killer (even now on some killers thats a problem). Toolboxes is real problem why gens gone to fast and maybe fast track.

No they shouldn't, bubba being able to brainlessly get kills for free just by camping isn't a good thing actually
Survivors getting brainlessly get free escape is not good either and hook saving should be more punishable (return situation when survivors has 0 chance to unhook teammate if killer do everything right). And thats a reason i think hook grab should return to be more risky (and not free escape for hooked survivor).
-

Yes, that's either zero survivors on gens or it's endgame in which case the survivors have literally nothing else to do and that's the only way they can save their teammate, and the fact you can play bubba to circumvent it is absurd
Bubba is good example from my side. I guess more killer should punish such a risky save like him.

Only if the anti camp system is buffed and enabled in endgame, otherwise id rather not see face/proxy camping become an easier and more annoying strategy
So you think situation when you hooked survivor and all other 3 right unhooking him together and right into your face (cause now unhook right on killer face is not punishable unless you play Bubba) is okay?

"Free escape??"
If the killer closes hatch, the killer is not stunned for 20 seconds, letting the survivor get a "free escape."
If we didnt count Midwich mostly maps has huge area between 2 exit gate and if you not Billy you have 50/50 to know on what gate survivor is.

If you get all your tokens by endgame, this version is strong if you are "losing" and weak if you are "winning."
If you get all your tokens by endgame, the current version is strong if you are "losing" and stronger if you are "winning." The last survivor may as well be insta-sacrificed by an Entity Spike.
Current no way out is fine. If last survivor failed to find a hatch or they team failed to repair all gen they should not get free escape.
-
@CrypticGirl said:
Absolutely not. Even without hook grabs, going for an unhook is still extremely risky. The Killer can hit the unhooker if they're healthy, and then hit them again right after the unhook, resulting in another free hook for the Killer.
Yes a hook trade thats a literally free (guranteed unhook). Before if you failed both of you get hooked, but now it a guranteed free escape for hooked one.

to thos esaying Wraith is "just an M1 killer". - Iirc Hens did a showdown; a Wraith (good Wraith but not a comp player) against some of the best survivors. Wraith did exactly the hit n run thing where he just never commits to a chase and focuses on pushing people of gens and getting resources out of the way. It was a rather long match, iirc, but in the end he won … and it wasn't exactly close.
All map reworks make maps smaller and resources more scarce indirectly making Wraith better and better. - Or let's say: the aforementioned playstyle.
And yes; not opting for that or another obnoxious playstyle makes him rather weak. - Would buffing him do anything to encourage other playstyles? I highly doubt it; whenever something to encourage a different playstyle is introduced it just leads to the existing one getting even worse.
Agree he is strongest m1 killer in the game with insane chase and map control potential. According how easy he is to play he shouldnt be that strong. He should be nerf especially synergy with meta perks and his overpowered addons at minimum. He actually deserve to be gutted in to the state when he was release.
-
@Halloulle said:
seems you had a rough game.
Wraith can be a rather obnoxious killer to face (then again; nearly all killers can bring builds that make them bordline obnoxious - but Wraith is one where it happens more often) but he's not obnoxious because he's exceptionally strong overall but because the obnoxious playstyles are the strong ones - partly because people don't want to go against obnoxious stuff and rather go next sooner than later and partly because certain things (silent bell, double speed etc.) are actually strong.
Thats what i thought. Wraith is not overpowered like Huntress/Singularity/Oni but its indeed the playstyle that Wraith can create. Especially Wraith is a king of tunneling (and of course with strongest addons)

2. Huntress. Used to really like going against huntress killers. They seemed fair and down for a good time. Now they're always sweaty and proxy campers. It's draining.
3. Legion - get hit, heal for an eternity. Repeat. Get nothing done for 30 minutes. Boring.
Honourable mentions:
Wraith - tunnelers, proxy campers and body blockers
Dredge - can't stand nightfall. It's obnoxious.
The main problem with huntress no matter of playstyle is unfair hatch hitboxes

it doesnt matter Tombstone takes ages to stalk. If Myers reaches to it early, the first survivor cant tell if he can instant kill. Leaving 3v1 is already a biggest reward on killer side. There is no need for more reward after that.
Plus just using an addon should never mean to give one side easy win. I would argue to bring back original BNP, that I should get reward just to put it in my loadout.
Now tell what rewards do you want for Tombstone? Mori 2 and Entity kills the remaining 2 or what? Whats more rewarding than press M1 and delete a survivor?
Fast stalk only possible for Tombstone piece. For Judith you need a very long time to reach Tier 3 (even more with infinite tier 3 addon). My point is tombstone counter is very easy (hide in the locker/ stay on the gen/ bait for lunge attack). So with Judith Tombstone survivors shouldnt escape death just by hiding in the locker. And old bnp is not the same (press one button vs fully stalk at least 2 survivors and try to catch them before locker and dont give up all gens on that moment)

Both the instant kill addons need to be reworked. They are outdated and don’t belong in modern DBD.
Remember what happened to Pig, because her head trap kills were considered unfair….
- Inactive head traps no longer trigger at exit gates
- Head trap addons nerfed, which also involved completely removing the addons that could require the survivors to make more than 4 searches
- An extra box was added to the game, so Pig can’t camp the last box anymore
- Pig can’t see box auras anymore
…Meanwhile, Myers can just stalk some of the survivors, then walk up to a different survivor that is healthy and never been hooked, and instant kill them with two button clicks. It’s the most unfair mechanic for solo q survivors in the entire game.
Just revert all this 4 pig changes then and make headtraps actual threat again

"fun and unique"… Not really. Unique, yes, but it is not used because it is fun, but because it is strong. There is just too much of a power difference between Myers with and Myers without Tombstone. And this is not ok and needs to be fixed. He should not auto-win the game with Tombstone (Piece), but he should also not be one of the weakest Killers in the game.
And well… "just dont feed Myers that much stalk"… I have been killed by Tombstone Piece without seeing him before. Someone else fed him stalk, got downed and I was found next and killed. I have had contact with him for like 10 seconds and died, without ever being stalked by him.
And thats why i said Tombstone piece should be only 1 use cause it fells cheap. And also talking about buffing Judith version cause how unrewarding it feels some time. Thats why i think locker kills would be a good idea.

Those "unique and fun" game changing eliminates give this killer a power boost that could literally be considered cheating if it wasn't part of the game. This addon replaces this killer's basic attack with an instant kill ability that can also last the entire match when paired with the other addon that gives infinite tier 3. We're not talking about an instant down. This is literal game over you're dead because this killer pressed M1 next to you. Its beyond ridiculous.
He only can kill you if you or your teammate feed Myers that much stalk. So this addons just punish survivors mistake. And infinite Tyer 3 Tombstone takes almost entire game so if you gave it to him on 3 gen its only survivors fault.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
The Tombstone Piece is probably the worst Rework-idea I have seen so far. It does not solve the core problem at all, which is removing one Survivor early for a 3v1, which is then not winnable by the Survivors unless they are way better than the Killer (it makes it even worse because Myers would not need to care which Survivor he kills, because he cannot stalk them anymore anyway). And it would make the game boring for Myers at this point, because while the Killer will most likely win, being stuck as an M1-Killer without power is boring.
And buffing the Tombstone is also not really the way to go, especially if you remove counterplay.
In general, the concept of killing a Survivor as Myers is heavily outdated and should just be removed. There is not really any redeeming factor while this should be in the game, it is from a time where a lot of broken stuff was in the game and almost all of it got removed. The Tombstone-Add Ons should have been removed/reworked years ago as well.
They also dont require that much stalk, at least compared to the benefit they give.
Obviously, Myers also needs buffs, since he himself is heavily outdated as well. But alongside Buffs to him the Tombstones need to be reworked.
It creates fun and unique game changing mechanic so insta kill addons should stay. My solution to make Judith more rewarding and Piece less cheap to use. Plus it has counterplay just dont feed Myers that much stalk point. So if survivor get tombstoned its only his/her fault for feeding Myers. Plus let killing survivors in the locker is good change for Judith Tombstone cause how long you need to stalke survivors, escaping death should not be that easy (by hiding in locker). So if Myers bring Tier 3 with Judith Tombstone it should feel like a great reward when survivors cant escape death.

Its a problem. An ADDON, not a perk or power, allows this killer to eliminate survivors with or without hook states. This should have never been added to the game.
It creates unique and fun game changing element so its okay.
-
@KateMain86 said:
The problem with tombstone is that it is not balanced around an objective based 1v4 game like this. If there was a respawn mechanic for survivors then it would be, but then the whole game would have to be changed.
Its not a problem. It creates alternative way to kill. You can hooked survivors or very long stalking them until they became morible. And many people say it punish survivors for nothing. Well no, cause survivors feed Myers that much stalk points so he can kill them
-
@Skitten56 said:
Tombstone hate is way too common and unwarranted most of the time. Tombstone Myers is one of the few things that make dbd feel like a horror game again. Its always a tense match and it does have counterplay such as going into lockers and forcing hooks.
Due to this I 100% disagree with your locker change suggestion as I believe it is a critical strategic counter to Myers and creates dynamic gameplay relating to his power. I do like your Tombstone Piece suggestions though.
The main issue with Tombstone Piece add-on since it can be too easy to get a survivors out very early. In addition to your suggestions for it, I also think survivors would feel better about Tombstone add-ons if the mori required at least a decent amount of stalk from a survivor in order to activate on that survivor.Thats the reason i think Judith version needs a buff. Cause how long you need to stalk it should be some more rewarding. Thats why i think allowed Myers to kill in lockers is good change for this addon. (its not okay tombstone piece is better in every way)
-
@MikeyMyers666 said:
Why is tombstone piece an issue all of a sudden? It still takes a long time to get to T3, you only have a short period of time to use it, and then it drains significantly after you use it. It's also very difficult to get back to T3 before all the gens are done. I haven't had much luck with it. It doesn't need a nerf.
Cause you can delete 1st survivor in less than 2 minutes from the game, plus it makes judith tombstone useless (cause why use it if tombstone piece do it better and without any downside)
-
My favourite addon on Legion. Extra time for frenzy hit worth speed reduce. I mean if this addon being base kit legion actually became a good killer. Maybe buff starting speed to 4.8 m/s and extra 10 seconds make him actually stronger and less map and random survivor location dependant

Thats entire reason why franklin exist to counter sabo/flashlight/fast gen repairing. Survivors doesnt like frankin cus its counter their items, well killers doesnt like sabo/flashlight and etc. thats why they bring franklin. And you can remove value of half killers addons (distortion)

Yeah. You get about a minute or two extra, if you're lucky and the only cost is that you completely give up your power. Sounds like a good trade. After all, we know how well M1 killers do currently.
You get this game delay anyway and Singualrity is nowhere near overpowered at the moment. Adding the ability to permanently shut off its power is just overkill. There is no world in which that would be fine.
It also doesn't matter how obvious a biopod is placed. You see these things anyway and if you don't because they are placed around a corner, then that's a badly biopod because it can't see anything either, which removes all utility from it.
Pig lose her power after 4 chases cause no bear trap and she is far weaker than singularity. Again why killer so powerful as Singularity with insane map control and pressure, passive game delay and insane chase potential - slipstream does not have limite on it. For now biopods value is almost free and survivors cant do much about it. Imagine if pig can recover her bear traps - you get current Singularity

He is quite dependant on Family Photo, so making it partially basekit is a good move, he is not worse to play agains than nurse… He just like nurse suffers on indoor maps and sure he is strong in holding 3 gens, but the current anti 3 gen solution makes this not as strong anymore..
He is one of the hardest killersi n the game, those changes are meant to make him less addon depedant and more accessable for players…
Again hes not hard. Spamming biopods and know survivors location 24/7 is not something you need skill for. And for lazy people he has teleport right on survivors.

It depends on what to compare it with. If it means leave him as he is, s-tier killer with no counterplay and best ability to hold 3 gen (even than knight or skull merchant). My idea would probably be better.

I'm not sure how you can you look at a patch involving 2 big killer changes with one of the killers having a lot of necessary QoL changes, as well making him less addon dependent. So many great changes that are going to make the killer a lot more fun to play as.
And… Somehow you come to the conclusion that the devs only care for the survivors fun? Because of changes made to another killer (which also include making addons basekit btw)…
The only conclusion I can draw from this patch is that the devs do care about fun on both sides, and that's why they made a killer more accessible, and changed another that was criticized from the day he got released because of his unengaging gameplay.
They buff a killer no one asked for. And you doesnt notice this changes because no one play singularity. Chance to go against him less 1%

I would even say that would make him the worst killer in the game…
This change only punish players who place biopods in the most obvious spot and very close to each other (which i say it could be problem on small maps). This change only does not allowed Singularity brainlessly spam biopods and also make him work for 4k kills. He is already have enough biopods as base kit. And slipstream already one of the best chase mechanic he has (not many killers has even close to this), so it only being a nerf to his insane map pressure and gen defense and doesnt touch his chase potential
