I’m not a new player just new to forums… I’ve been playing blight since his little man pov

If you play Blight for that long you should now that Blight has received exactly 1 real Nerf. The removal of Hug Tech might also not be considered a Nerf to some since Bump Logic was improved.

Meanwhile after his Release Blight got a few Patches back to back where he received Buffs and even the most broken Add Ons took years to be nerfed.

Saying that he got nerfed every Patch is just so wrong.

  • "Nerf Blight every Patch", lol. You really seem to be a new player.

Anyway, there should be a Roadmap for May coming up in the next days and the Year 9 Roadmap should be revealed during the Anniversary Stream.

  • I dont think that every Power which involves a Teleport can be seen the same and just labelled under "Teleport". You have teleports to very fixed locations (Freddy, Sadako, Dredge), Teleports which require the Killer to build them up (Demo, Singularity, Hag, Unknown to some extent), reactionary Teleports (Hag, Pinhad) and Teleports used for a chase (Nurse, Singularity).

They are vastly different from each other and only because a Killer has a Teleport does not mean that they are the same or even on the same Level as Strength. And aside from Nurse, I dont have any problem with Teleports at all.

I think it is more annoying that they give every Killer they release some form of Killer Instinct. Some make sense, others not (e.g. I dont see any reason why Wesker should have Killer Instinct). But I dont think that teleports are any issue (aside from Nurse).

I do agree I don't mind DS affecting her power but I do think blast mine making her lose her power is little silly. It's not the biggest deal but I still think it silly she can lose her power for just kicking the wrong gen.

Yeah, I would say DS makes the most sense out of all, because it is supposed to be a Perk against tunneling and the Plague will most likely be tunneling and it would be fair if she loses her power then. But to be honest, I dont encounter Head On at all in my games anymore (I think people are rather using Buckle Up/FTP or Flashbang/Background Player nowadays, Head On has always been an SWF-Perk and I think SWFs just moved on to better options). And Blast Mine is also really rare in my games.

But to be fair, letting her use her power on all Stuns makes sense in general. There is not really a reason why only one type of Stuns is the reason she loses her power.

In the end I dont think it matters much. But it is a Nerf, so the complaints are big and the same Otz-video has to be posted a dozen times to reflect this.

  • At least the second thread where someone posts a video of Otz about this.

And IMO it is fair. A Plague who got hit by DS was most likely tunneling anyway, good riddance that her power is gone then.

Id like to add to this.

The whole strafing thing is overall a lost cause. In pc you barley notice if someone uses boilover and it ever only is a problem on maps like rpd. But the stronger strafing from boilover shows that this whole mechanic works mich better against console players wich makes it so bhvr cant really touch it or thise people get effected more. (Maybe thats ehy boilover is a bad perk now)

I only now the PC-experience, but I also have noticed in one game that high Ping is also increasing the strafing. At least I had one game where the Survivor was on 600 Ping once (I dont think they did it intentionally, since it only happened once and not all the time they were picked up) and I unable to really move since I got strafed into a corner and did not get out of it.

When it comes to Boil Over in particular - this Perk deserves a full Rework. It is super-weak when just used nornally and annoying when used with a specific Build. They should just rework into a Perk which is worth taking and cannot be used in one particular build to be annoying.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3708313#Comment_3708313

No, its not about making it more difficult to move. The function of wiggling is to give the killer a time limit to hook. So he cant bring you always to a good hook like basement, near to a gen he wants to defend etc.

You dont understand OP. They are talking about the effect that wiggling is supposed to make the Killer strafe sideways when you hit the Great Skill Checks while wiggling.

    https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Wiggle#Succeeding_Skill_Checks

I dont know why there is even a negative effect for hitting the Good Skill Checks, but BHVR-things I guess.

    @Topic:

As others have said, wiggling is only supposed to make sure that the Killer cannot get to any Hook they like. And while you think it feels like they still reach any hook they want, this is just not the case. If there would be no wiggling, they could travel way further with you on their shoulder and reach a Scourge Hook (for example) 100% of the time. The Killer will most likely still get to a Scourge Hook with wiggling, but it might be possible that they dont. And this possibility (of not reaching the Hook they want) is at least there with wiggling.

    Furthermore, look at the numbers:

    https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Wiggle#Succeeding_Skill_Checks

Good Skill Checks reduce the side strafing effect to 50% and Great only increase it to 120%, making it 20% stronger than Base. That is not much so you should not really expect a big effect from it. If you want a big effect for wiggling, you have to run Boil Over (but dont, the Perk is bad).

For why this is even a thing - back in the day wiggling was not done via Skill Checks but via messhing two buttons (on PC) and I think on Controller it was using the stick very fast. This was changed at some point since it was an annoying mechanic to do and also was not really good on the hardware, at least on console. So they added Skill Checks, including a Great Skill Check-Zone. First this achieved that you can wiggle off a bit faster if you hit the Great Skill Check (1 second total if you hit all of them), but they changed it to the side strafe-effect being stronger or weaker. (In the end even wiggling off faster was totally fine and nearly nobody complained about it, but they still felt like changing it)

So yeah, just see BPs as the main reason to hit Great Skill Checks. The side strafing-effects are not worth it. And in the end, wiggling is only supposed to limit the decision making of the Killer a bit and NOT to make you wiggle free on a regular basis.

  • You should have gotten an achievement if it was the first time you find it.

  • I think it is underrated and it is decent, but not more. Personally, I dislike running Endgame-Perks as Killer, I would rather run another Perk which helps me win the game before reaching the point where all Gens are done. And if I would decide to run an Endgame-Perk for it and play with 3 Perks for the majority of the match, I would rather run NWO.

And I think you will have to combo with with NOW when playing with Terminus, because otherwise it can just happen that the Survivors just straight up open the Exit Gates and leave instead of trying to save a hooked teammate, which they would do if they can 99 the gates and are able to heal up.

And well, last but not least, the Perk is probably worse now with less Adrenalines around.

  • Sunrise —> IMO too weak. It is worse than Distortion, even if it benefits the whole team. And realistically it will probably only work against Lethal Pursuer. Also, it is slightly bad design since it benefits SWF more than SoloQ (you can coordinate in SWF which Perks to bring so they will have the option to realistically have 2 minutes of Blindness for the Killer every game while you would not have that in SoloQ)

Emergency Call —> This sounds fine, even tho really situational. Also deactivates in Endgame, which is something I highly dislike, especially with a Perk which is purely altruistic AND situational as well.

Reuse —> Way too powerful. A core part of Killer gameplay is to create Deadzones. With that you will remove that, even if you put reasonable restrictions on the Perk. I mean, it would be ok on some Maps (Haddonfield, lel, nobody cares if Pallets are there or not), but on most maps it would be way too strong.

  • "Like this wasn't seen in a playtest?"

This is something where I have to defend the Devs. Not everything which can happen in terms of Bugs or Glitches can actually be seen during testing. This is why providing data (e.g. which platform or which components are in the PC) is so important to recreate the issue.

BHVR would not be the first company where something slips through testing because they did not encounter it while testing it. For example, I did not have this problem at all so far, but this does not mean that it does not exist. And you can only prevent things when you know that they are there and while I dont know on how many platforms and with what specs the Devs have been testing this, it happens all the time in game development that something slips through.

  • Isnt Spirit only old Prayer Beads? Which was a really imbalanced Add On. (For those who dont know, Prayer Beads completely removed the Phasing Sound)

  • Ultimate Weapon:

Current Live-Version is not good. But the changes from the Dev-Update are decent, this is what I always said - keep the Perk the same but remove the lingering effect. It will be a good Perk, but not too good as before.

    DS:

Still a joke. I am testing it currently, but I dont think I will keep it for long. Pointless Perk and disappointing that this is one of the solutions to tunneling, especially because it is only the revert of a Nerf which should not have happened in the first place.

    Adrenaline:

Feels underwhelming to use. I think at least one of the Nerfs should be reverted, but in all honesty, the only thing which needed changing was waking up against Freddy.

  • I can only repeat what others have said. The map is horrible and I predict that we see Killers using Haddonfield-Offerings in the future because it might be the most killer-sided map now.

Thing is, there are a few things you can do to make maps less survivor-sided:

    • Remove strong Windows/put openings next to them
    • reduce the number of pallets
    • make pallet loops less safe
    • reduce the size

For Haddonfield, someone took everything and dialed it up to 11 on a scale of 1-10.

And I think the Map did not even need all of that. It was somewhat balanced, but in a bad way, because it had bad areas for Killers and bad areas for Survivors.

It is totally fine to nerf the Windows, but they were made pretty unuseable because they all have an opening next to it. The Pallets are way too unsafe. And there was no need to shrink the map to the size of a shoebox.

IMO it would have been enough to reduce the strength of windows (without butchering them as was done with the recent Patch) and add a few Pallets to the Street as compensation. I dont think the Map was too big at all. I also dont think that the map outside of the houses was too strong for Survivors.

Playing in SWF gives you an inherent advantage, so maybe it should give you a disadvantage as well, to even things out. Just not sure what the disadvantage should be.

TThe problem isnt swf. solo and swf are the same. Theres no difference ingame. (Choosing to play with "better" players isnt a game balance problem in itself)

The problem starts with swf being more likely to use comms. And good players using those comms effectively.

The average joe in "solo hell" (no comms random team) then sees the better performance by better players who play with better teams with better comms usage and demands that to be made basekit.

AArguably its technically possible that 4 competent players make the survivor role overperform but i dont wanna start shitstorm of a discussion.

The strength of SWF is not Comms. It is that you can filter out the bad players. If you play in a 4 man SWF you know that your teammates are decent. As Solo you basically roll a die.

That does not matter at all. They already told us they can work on new content, gameplay and design new skins at the same time. Which is why they have seperate teams working on their part. Nothing gets taken away from each other unless it is within the same department being worked on in the same team. Which we definitely see when certain killers are worked on over others or characters getting more skins over the others

The thing is that creating a cosmetic in general takes the same time and money (to pay the person who designs it) across the board for every character. So while it 100% is possible to create content (cosmetics) for older characters and also design new characters, in the end, BHVR wants to make money. And they make more money with cosmetics for popular characters. This is just how it is.

You have thousands of people playing a character like Claudette or Kate and then you have 3 people who play Jonah or Haddie. Quite clear who gets a new Skin more frequently.

(I mean, there was a Haddie-Movement a few months ago which resulted in her getting a bunch of skins every few weeks. And I am pretty sure that BHVR has made less money during this time)

They should have keept the ideia of Victor holding a survivor on the ground when Victor down them after injuried, at least, this would be a nerf to the twins slug play. If you down a survivor with Victor he stays on the ground with the survivor, simple solution for Twins slug. And yes, survivors should be hosting Victor for at least 25~30 seconds instead of only 10 seconds that is so stupid (but Mandy just confirmed its a bug)

Thats the thing. Their goal with the Twins-Rework was to remove the heavy slugging from them. Which was quite clear on the PTB, since they did everything that the Killer is not incentived to slug. (Even tho, slugging with Twins will always happen, just because it is part of the normal gameplay since you will have to move Charlotte to the Survivor to pick them up. But it would have not been possible to slug multiple people with Victor)

And because their PTB-Version was busted, they reverted a lot (rightfully so) and now Twins are just back to slugging heavily, except they can do it even better than before due to the QoL-Changes. And the Bug that Victor can be recalled way too quickly is just the cherry on top.

  • Dont get your hopes up. A "Meta Shake Up" for Killer will just mean that they switch from Slowdown-Perks A, B, C and D to Slowdown-Perks E, F, G and H.

Remember, during the 6.1.0 Patch Eruption was buffed into being insufferable for a few months. If they would do another Meta-Shake Up you will probably see PGTW and Pain Res nerfed only to

    a) being replaced by other Slowdown-Perks which are at least as equally strong and

    b) being buffed again a few months afterwards

  • I mean, even if it is "only" BP each week, as long as I only have to click one Button for it, I am totally fine with it.

the voice sound male but who knows 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Either way u should get the skin. The elk look cool but more importantly just sound way more quieter than huntress in all aspects. Sometimes I swear you can't even hear the elk pull up the hatchet. Maybe i tripping only went against a few so far.

Yeah, you cannot hear the Elk pulling up a Hatchet most of the time. And I think this will probably be changed in the future, I would highly recommend that people dont buy the Skin for this because I would be surprised if it was not changed. There is a sound queue for a reason and it being so quiet that you cannot really hear it is more of a Bug than anything else.

And it is better if people dont get too upset about it when it gets changed if they bought the Skin for this alone.

  • Why should the most boring part of her Kit be buffed? This sounds like you really did not think this through. Instead of having 4 Traps at base she would have at least 8 Traps base. She would not even have to hook people, she could just place Traps on their Heads which would force the Survivors to do Boxes instead of Gens.

It would be way too much game delay at base.

  • 300k BP. And I am not even sure if they are supposed to be different for players? I thought everyone would get the same.

I mean bones can be done preventing it from even coming into play, so no, not "always."

Hell, it can still pop on a totem right next to the last gen that gets done/next to an exit gate and get cleansed after activating but before coming into play.

First of all, calling it "Bones" because of an unfunny parody of a pretty disgusting person is…meh.

Second - this will never happen. Survivors dont have time to cleanse 5 Totems nowadays. And even then, the Killer got probably more value out of NOED than anything else since Survivors were dumb enough to decide to cleanse 5 Dull Totems.

  • @Ryuhi said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3705995#Comment_3705995

Really? I'd compare it to NOED revealing its own location.

Except that a Killer will always get NOED to activate. A Survivor does not get Adrenaline to activate every game.

  • Why should it be discounted or free?

People who had Amazon Prime got it for free, which was an incentive back then and part of the collaboration between BHVR and Amazon.

Those skins are now not exclusive anymore (apparently) so people can buy them as usual. It would make no sense to make them free now or discounted.

I mean, if you dont want to contact Support, you dont have to do anything with the ID. It will also not help you to log in if the problem is one of those I outlined before.

  • How do you know he isnt banned? He can just use a new account and go on.

  • While the Download should be big, the size of DBD after the Update should not increase by such an amount.

  • Oh boy, you really missed it then how Killers complaint about it how strong it would be to grab the Flag. And as you have figured out yourself - it really isnt. The Flag does not have any point and I dont even know why the Devs implemented it. Probably some form of Counterplay, but it is so niche that it is really not worth it to even think about grabbing the flag.

Not that I think it is a big issue or that the Flag should do more. But you are right when you call it pointless.

I think you mean the Player-ID. You can display it when launching the game, if I am correct. You use this if you want to contact Support. Usually you find it ingame (in Settings), but if you cannot make it into the game for whatever reason the message which pops up gives you the option to display your ID so that you can copy it in case you want to contact Support.

  • @OneGoodBoyDemo said:

Isn't this something that only affects the person using it? like only the person with the mod can see it while other people see the match normal?

I don't know anything about mods...

You are the only one who can see it, this is true. But you can also give yourself an advantage doing it. As already said, giving Trapper pink Traps. Or you can change every Outfit for Survivors in the files into something super-bright so that you can spot them from miles away.

I am not sure if modding is still possible on Online-Servers, OP might referring to someone who played this in an Offline-Lobby.

  • If you are banned you will get a message that you are banned when you try to launch the game. This will display the reason you are banned and how long you are banned (if it is not a permanent ban, then there wont be any time when you can play again).

So a message that you cannot connect to the Server can mean that your internet is down, your Steam (if you are on Steam) is down or that the game itself is down.

the fact that the perks are covered up says a lot. If this person was running best of prey, predator, nemesis and septic touch I don’t think they would have covered up the build. It was probably 4 slowdown perks

I mean, if they want to run 4 Slowdowns, this is fine as well. As equally as it is fine that the Survivors bring the builds they brought in this game.

I just think covering them up to hide that OP is probably running full meta as well is a bit hypocritical.

Honestly, it's entire mess of a kit is probably the most 'balanced' thing I've seen.

    • Fast teleport but have to time/manipulate your clone placements
    • Projectile that needs to apply it's effects via splash damage
    • Addons are pretty varied and have their niches (outside blurry photo+vanishing box, love those addons)
    • Skill expression via learning bounce mechanics for trickshots/going through walls and floors
    • And personally speaking from my survivor PoV, interesting enough counterplay with trying to mindgame projectiles and clearing clones and weakened.

Not that I can say it's perfect, I doubt I have enough time spent as/against them to make that call, but so far I'm always excited to go against them.

Would 100% agree. I think Unknown is the best Killer in a while. They are not the strongest, but for me easily the most fun Killer released since Wesker and also fun to play against. At least I never had a miserable game against an Unknown because of the Kit of this Killer.

And yet it is an A-Tier Killer which is not overly hard to play (but also not super easy to play so that you know how to play them after just a few games).

  • @ReverseVelocity said:

You lost a game. Get over it. Does this happen to you frequently? The answer will most likely be "No". In over 9300 hours of DBD I have encountered Builds like this (including the Perks, Items and a Map Offering) a handful of times. You will probably win most of your games anyway - but once you lose, you complain in this giant Killer Echo Chamber. Nice.

I think Cote said in an interview not that long ago they're fine with Nurse being busted because of her learning curve which is kind of a cop out tbh because she's not that hard to learn, she's possibly not even top 3 hardest to learn. I genuinely think BHVR thinks rebalancing her would be too hard so they just decided not to.

Her learning curve is pretty steep because you cannot use her as an M1-Killer with many other Killers (e.g. you dont need to know how to rush with Blight or how to use a Chainsaw with Billy, you can still use those abilities only for mobility and do your chases with M1s… This is not possible with Nurse).

But yet Killers like Billy or Blight are far more difficult to play as Nurse. Because once you learn her, she is not that hard.

    "They did well"? 😂😂😂😂

Survivor don't have to do anything but to outstealth the other 3, can never touch a gen or heal another survivor and hatch still spawns for them.

The only thing they irrefutably did well was A) hiding from the killer and B) be lucky with the rng to get to hatch first.

    Anything else is speculation.

You did not understand my post. They did well because they wanted to annoy OP. And they succeeded.

  • They should rather buff weak Perks, while also nerfing stronger Perks. Because buffing weak Perks will most likely work for Survivor, but not for Killer since equipping 4 Slowdowns is always the easiest way to play the game. And even if they bring attractive alternatives for Killers, they would probably just need to be stronger Slowdown-Perks in order to have a change in builds, but this is not really a change in the Meta.

When it comes to buffing, I think they should pick 10 Perks from each side and work on those. And once they are done, they should be brought to a Chapter or Midchapter and the Devs should monitor how they are received. If they are fine after the Buffs, they leave the "Rotation" and other Perks replace them so that we are on 10 Perks for each side again. If they are still to weak, they stay in rotation and the Devs buff them further.

And when it comes to those Buffs, they should buff them to a significant amount. Something like they did with Background Player for example or with Grim Embrace. Bringing a Perk from "meh" to "Meta/almost Meta" is just the right thing to do. If they overshoot it, they can nerf them again a bit, the game will not die if one side has an OP-Perk for a few weeks (the game survived original MoM for a few weeks and buffed Eruption for months).

Because this is another thing - the Devs are not only slow in Buffs and Reworks of Perks, but they are also super-cautious with those and only do small number changes which often enough are just not enough.

Do you REALLY think they are not doing anything against Cheaters? It is an arms race, when they fix something the Cheaters find a new way to cheat and it repeats again. Currently there are a few more cheaters, probably the cheating software got an Update, but once this is fixed, it will be less again and the creators of this Software need to find a new way (which they will most likely do, and then BVHR has to fix it again).

This applies to every Onlinegame. Cheating is not a DBD-exclusive.

I guess the problem is that YT is fine with this. There are some players who stream and publish videos of how they hacking and how funny it is to be anannyoing. BHVR cannot do much against this because YT is not their platform - they can only ask friendly but as long as it is not against YT rules it's fine. Twitch, on the other hand, is more consequent against hacking-game-streams and streamers get banned there, which is very good and why you see them streaming on YT.

(I am not an expert about this but this is what I know about this topic).

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3704059#Comment_3704059

The issue there is that when DbD was free on Epic many people bought via Bots so many copies that they don't care about any ban. In the end the developers spend 10 minutes of banning them (reading, watching reports, looking for account ect) and the person needs two seconds to create a new account and do this again. Just taking action does not solve the issue. They need to do bigger changes and adjustments in anticheatprogramms but even then, the creators of cheattools can adjust to this. Unfortunately, it is very difficult and coast so much time and money. Don't get me wrong I would be so happy when cheaters would be gone for ever but this is nearly impossible.

Epic Store might have increased the issue, but it is not really the main cause. Because you can get DBD for a few bucks anyway, which is not a big deal for a few weeks of cheating.

  • Seems like the person achieved exactly what they wanted to achieve. They did well, you complained about it on the Forums, they won and got what they wanted.

You are not doing any multitasking with Knight. You dont control the Guards.

You don't have to, I was just seeing if you had actual data because I find those breakdowns interesting.

You're perfectly fine to rely on your anecdotal experience, I was just under the impression it was actual data by how you presented it. My bad!

They dont have Data. There was never Data published with those information.

Except even in that case you still tank the hit which gives the possibility to run away. Killers tend to wait base kit BT but they won't wait 80 seconds of protection, so an extra hit is guaranteed if they tunnel you with OTR, which is want the perk's supposed to give you to begin with, not complete impossibility of getting downed during that timeframe.

Also as someone who constantly runs OTR I don't have a problem in avoiding getting hit right off hook. Seems like a case of either you or your teammates (or most likely both) playing badly which in return makes the perk look bad, which I'm not surprised about considering what other takes I've seen from you.

A Killer notices immediatly when the Survivor has OTR since there is no grunts of pain. No Killer is then stupid enough to wait out 10 seconds just to get hit with OTR.

  • Would be nice if it would actually work to sign up for the Newsletter. Until this day it never worked for me and I am pretty sure I am not the only one.

(Let alone that I dont see any point why the Bonus-BPs should just be for new subscribers. What is the point to subscribe to the Newsletter then? You get all information via Social Media already…)

It is not overrated. It is very good and "mandatory" in the two chainsaw killers, in Myers it is good because synergizes with its power and in Wraith it is good because synergizes with Shadow Dance addons. Aside those killers almost nobody use Bamboozle.

I mean, I see the point why to play it on those Killers. For me it is a brain-rot Perk. Instead of learning how to run Tiles, you just learn to vault the Window.

And well, I have seen it on Legion and Wesker as well and on some M1-Killers as well.
