Honestly I would love for the survivors to have something different about them other than just skins... but anything added would have to be considered VERY carefully to keep it balanced.

It doesn't work in reverse.
Survivors outright report killers for doing normal stuff. Killers complain about gameplay features that are inconsistent, create perverse incentives or weren't originally in the game but introduced as the result of feedback without being debated or tested first.
LMFAO. typical... only killers get to whine about imaginary rules made by salty players.
-
true, but if you try to balance it around red ranks then green ranks are royally F'd
-
wasn't there something about the survival rate being well below 50%, how is that survivor-sided?
-
I would like to see an addon that actually injures a survivor who fails a skillcheck on a jigsaw box.
make it rare if need be, but don't add more obnoxious costs to running the addon.
oh, and as previously stated, ability to crouch faster... that should be a thing.
-
that's by design. His hit is meant to pull you into the dream world. but I do agree that I feel it's almost pointless to wake yourself up.
between how fast you fall back asleep and how easy it is to be put back in by getting smacked... I just deal with the sleep debuff.
-
I feel the average should be 2 kills and 2 escapes.
but I'm generally a friendly killer so... I might be biased.
-
every survivor aura being revealed and two survivors being locked in the basement while you cut off their only escape? modest?
-
maybe add a rare addon for some kind of aim assist? I agree that aiming the damn thing can be a challenge sometimes.
practicing the use of it (outside of KYF) puts a giant target on your back.

Killers need better perks to reach 50% 4k rate. I believe monstrous shrine should help achieve 4k more rapidly.
Whenever you hook a survivor in the basement, the entity gives you a surge of power and increases your movement speed by 45% for 30 seconds. All survivors will also gain the exposed status effect for 30 seconds. If the survivor is rescued while you are not in the basement, the entity will block the basement exit for 60 seconds and reveal the aura of all survivors in the map (not just basement).
what are you smoking? lol. you need to share.... I agree the perk needs to be made useful, but that is some serious overkill.
-
you MAKE the thread and then try to blame someone for responding to it?
o.O
You're a bit of an odd one, huh.
-
the ONLY issue I have with it is that all 5 totems must be destroyed to nullify it and outside of playing SWF, there's almost no way to ensure this has been done aside from traversing the entire map to verify all of them have been broken.
this topic has been beaten to death on the forums though, so I'm really not sure why yet another thread was needed for this dead horse.
-
bear traps are complete RNG so they can either be great, or useless... but this has ALWAYS been the case.
with that said I would like to see Pig get some love. I can't think of any reason that she crouches slower than ghostface, nor that many perks don't count dash attacks.
if nothing else, I'd just like to see better addons. it's not right that most of her decent addons come with steeps costs, while other killers get similar abilities through addons without any cost
-
I'm not sure why they disconnect... If I find myself in a match where I'm 90% sure I stand no chance to survive, I'll just go vault over something repeatedly until I'm sacrificed... still gives me points.
-
I will stand by Nurse being okay, some of her addons need tweaking, but overall she isn't THAT bad.
but you can't claim stealth is a counterplay when killers have so many aura reading abilities... hard to sneak around when you're glowing bright red.
-
I mean... shirtless david could be for any and all players... but so could a bikini jane, a summer meg, or croptop kate.
I mean... what happened to equality, hmmmmmm?
-
I haven't been... cause I usually keep the survivors on their toes so much and always kill one of them off to add to their fear, that if I find myself in a position to "let them go" they usually thank me. xD
-
Honestly, when I play wraith I go for an almost full hex build. Him and spirit.
Thrill of the hunt, ruin, and haunted grounds.
use whatever you want for the 4th, Mad Grit is my current fave.
Love guarding totems and gens at the same time, keeps them busy and gives me plenty to hunt.
-
Yea, I've depipped with a kill... maybe I'm wrong and it's not two... but I generally aim to safety pip, NOT depip.
maybe just kick less gens/pallets or just pick one survivor that needs to die.
perhaps I'm wrong on the depip, but still, you should be able to run around and "spook" the survivors without killing or pipping.
-
this is essentially what I do every single round so that I can keep from getting too many harcore swf players and can still have fun.
it's simple. Never camp, Never tunnel, just run around chasing people, sometimes even just slashing them and returning to check on gens/totems.
keep track of how many times each has been hooked, only sacrifice two of the survivors. don't kick too many gens or break too many pallets.
tada, insta de-pip.
sometimes you might safety pip, but you can always "accidentally" miss a swing or "lose track" of a survivor if you want to ensure your depip.
(only problem is when toxic little twats annoy you to the point that 4k sacrifices becomes entirely too tempting and you end up double-pipping)
-
I mean... it would make me feel more comfortable NOT running Hex:TotH, but I still feel like killers are in a pretty good spot right now and don't need any more help atm.
but I only use Hex's with a full Hex build, so I'm probably biased...
Thrill of the Hunt, Ruin, Haunted Grounds, and then some filler perk for the fourth.
just those three alone allow me plenty of fun (and time wasters) for the totems.
-
fair enough, the sarcasm was perhaps a bit much, but beyond that first little snippet all I did was offer realistic advice... it's not that hard to add the totem to your patrol route.
(Might want to get some thicker skin though, that sarcasm was super light compared to most responses on these forums)
killers have it far easier than we used to and I keep seeing more and more requested changes that just make it even easier.
-
there's this nifty little perk I like to use, thrill of the hunt... ever heard of it? it's pretty helpful.
instead of adding in protection automatically for killers (while simultaneously thinking there should be NO downside/ "great skillcheck") perhaps you should patrol your totems better or use the in-game perks devised to help protect them?
-
I would absolutely love map specific defenses... and sorry, but I'm not buying the whole "new people would have issues with it" reasoning.
how many new people are getting demolished by 16-20 rank killers who camp and tunnel and they don't know to gen-rush cause they're new??
its just stuff you have to learn as you play.
-
Honestly I've just given up once I see the hatch closed... Fast vault repeatedly until they come find you and move to the next game.
-
HybridPanda does some great vids, though he can make some really boneheaded mistakes when playing survivor... but then again, don't we all.
-
oh no!! the war is over, no longer will survivors have to deal with ANY frustration.
no more unnecessary tunneling, no more unwarranted camping, gens will complete themselves and totems will always spawn in front of survivors (like they used to. xD), every pallet will be safe and all loops will be infinite, flashlights now come equipped with limitless battery and a new taser feature.
the hatch will spawn directly beneath the last survivors feet and doors will be opened at the start of the match. (gen completion is just for bonus points)
it's game over, killers.. gg ez get rekt scrub.
(totes joking, I'm sure nurse will be fine. xD )
-
likely because many people are playing freddy since the rework... I'm sure that's not the entire reason, but it's likely a factor.
-
"survivors just want to have their cake and eat it too"
meanwhile every hypothetical option provided has been shot down by most killer mains. lol
(granted the 3rd, gen speed increase, is a bad one... the other two could be tweaked and tested)
there will never be a consensus on this issue, just know that if you're the type to actively camp and tunnel for no other reason than to troll or ruin someones game... you're pretty pathetic.
-
I feel like there are too many circumstantial situations to really limit the survivors capabilities in such a way.
that's why each survivor has BP in each field... the survivors ALL have to swap roles throughout the round.
if you only had one person playing distraction... they would be dead too fast for any of the other survivors to make use of their sacrifice.
survivors kinda have to be "jack-of-all-trades" in order to survive.
-
self-care, Urban Evasion, Diversion, and either Lightweight or Lithe.
-
being a friendly killer is great, I've gotten some award winning reactions from people after I've hooked everyone twice and downed half the team only to let them up to escape...
but there are times, when the survivors want to act like spoiled little monsters... and that's when you need to stop being nice and remind them that you hold the cards in the game.
toxic behavior gets a toxic response...
camping, tunneling, specifying the 3-gens you want them to get stuck at for the final push... all of it.
-
if it was said, even after a buff... and it remains true... doesn't it seem to imply needing to be said again?
the perk is practically useless at this point.
-
yea, if it injured you in the process I would be okay with it.
-
yea, I noticed that too, killers and survivors alike have no descriptions for perks on the mobile version. I just assumed it was "in the works"
-
I definitely miss the old lighting... but I would assume it was that lighting that caused a lot of resource drain on systems...
-
Playing survivor is a chore. You get less bp for it and 80% of the time you're either being camped or tunneled.
and thanks to the new hatch mechanics, the killers seem to take endless joy out of slugging you so you can lay on the ground until the entity eventually impales you... riveting gameplay.
I have always preferred killer over survivor, but now I absolutely refuse to play survivor unless it's with my friends, if I can just make sure ONE of them survives then I can pretend I'm having fun
-
survivors getting tunneled/camped/slugged. Survivors who stand very little chance of survival and toxic killers who want to spend time rubbing their victims faces in their own defeat... and then killers crying that their queues are taking forever.
lol. this is precisely why I play killer and hate playing survivor... wish I could play survivor more, but it's not worth the frustration. we all have to suffer thanks to toxic killers.
-
oh please... if the killer managed to kill your potato teammates before you all finished your gens then he obviously deserves the 4th kill to be served up on a silver platter.
stop asking for free escapes. geez. /s
-
I had a rather lengthy response written, but then I remembered that the insane killer bias around here is why I left the forums to begin with...
so no, you guys win, survivors have it waaaay too easy, you deserve your 4k's, and any stats that show killers have an insane kill-rate are just skewed data.
carry on.
(and yea, I'm totally an swf-survivor main, despite how much I loathe playing survivor because of the previously mentioned BS)
-
I don't think it should ever be F2P but chapters could definitely be a little cheaper... I'm not made of money.
-
what about the other bug that pretty much guarantees survivors have to attempt to heal you twice because the first one gets cancelled immediately?
that one happens rather consistently on xbox one and has been happening for months.
-
yes, she should... her bear traps are nearly pointless now and she doesn't exactly have much in the way of map pressure... she used to be my main, but... here lately I never play her.
-
unless they were being toxic, yea... or if I have a daily that needs completing... otherwise I tend to let 2 survivors minimum escape anyway... but I'm a nice killer (who prefers not to get into red ranks) lol.

The LOL button is sorely missed.
you can LOL all you want... but I speak from experience, from pc to xbox, from rank 20 to rank 6, I do not play survivor anymore unless its with my friends because it has literally gotten to where I "might" stand a chance of survival on 1/10 games... meanwhile I can play killer with my eyes closed up to rank 6 when it actually starts to become a challenge.
gee, wonder why killer waits are so long, but survivor lobby happens within a few minutes.
🤔
-
Can't imagine why more people don't play survivor, it's almost like it's not fun to play a game where you spend round after round being camped/tunneled/slugged by someone who holds 80% of the power in the game but still feels the need to rub your face in your defeat by slugging you at end game just to pick you up and drop you at the gate when your collapse timer reaches 5 sec.
-
honestly when I get teams like that, I focus and tunnel one of them until they're dead.
don't care which one... if I get that single tunnel-kill I'm happy. plus with teams like that it usually ends up with extra kills since they all seem to think bodyblocking will save them.
I usually play friendly killer, not killing anyone, but as I've ranked up I've begun 3-4k ing simply because they're all such toxic little shits. xD
I don't really want to rank up... I want to play friendly again... but these bodyblocking survivors have to be taught. -
that was my plan as well. xDVietfox said:Yeah, i didnt use any and will use them in a few months, when killers don't expect it.
-
just derank... what an asinine solution. really? just derank so you can troll/harass/abuse the noobs.
don't bother complaining about valid issues in the game or improve your skills... nope... just abuse the system to bully those weaker than you.
you make me sick.
