Don't blame you at all. I'd rather go against Blight or Nurse for 4 games in a row rather than Skull Merchant.
-
Killer side, getting gen rushed to oblivion
Survivor side, getting tunnelled and camped all game.
-
When DS was actually useful and not a garbage perk
-
Legion is already annoying enough to go against. Plus it would be unbalanced
-
You can teleport with Dredge at any time and they have a minimal cooldown on their power.
-
Solo survivor is in the worst state it's ever been. There's barely a chance at winning or even staying in the game long because of how uncoordinated/selfish the team plays.
Players refuse to heal you or unhook/save. Nobody does generators, they just crouch/hide around the map. And every killer and their grandma is bringing Sloppy Butcher, which makes healing an even more difficult task. It's just an overall horrible experience.
-
Artist and Dredge.
-
Yeah I'm tired of playing against him. They all have the same annoying playstyle, bring the same annoying perks, and usually always bring a small map offering. And his snarky commentary makes him even more annoying to go against.

Old Hatch
Old Self Care
Old Maps (They just felt more creepier and better)
Old Balanced Landing
Old Ruin
Old PGTW
Old Pain Resonance
Old COB
Old Overcharge (Before latest patch)
Old Dead Hard (Before the latest patch)
Old COH (Before the latest patch)
Old Medkits (They were actually useful and did something)
Old Spine Chill
The old atmosphere in general.

Yeah this challenge is a pain. It's the only challenge this time that I feel like skipping.
-
She feels a lot better on PC and easier to play. On console she's very difficult.
-
Sprint Burst is completely fine. Old DH wasn't. One requires skill, the other did not.
Old Dead Hard was able to be activated at any time while you were injured, gave you a free 3rd health state + Speed Boost from being hit, and could be used to make it to pallets and windows.
With Sprint Burst, you have to wake the whole game at risk of using the perk. And once you use it, you have to wait 40 seconds to give it back.
Sprint Burst is a more high risk, high reward perk than Dead Hard ever was.

Personally I didn't mind the big car walls on Gas Heaven. Now we have these mini car blocks that block everything, and they've added them to the other Autohaven Maps as well. New Gas Heaven is kinda bad
-
It's still a terrible update.
Solo survivor got obliterated (as expected), killers are camping and tunneling more frequently, every killer is running Sloppy Butcher, teammates doing nothing and refusing to heal no matter the circumstance (also as expected).
On the killer side of things, gens are flying and there's barely any perks left to defend gens. Other than that, killer has been easy.
-
With how weak boons are now, absolutely not.
-
This gen rush playstyle was bound to happen after the Medkit/DH/COH nerfs. Especially with almost every killer running Sloppy Butcher + Camping and tunneling. There isn't much options left for survivors anymore.
-
This chapter was really bad. The only redeeming quality was the survivors. The killer and new perks for both sides sucked.
-
I mean, Artist is pretty rare to see already. But I would love to encounter a Dragon Artist. I love the skin and I'm an Artist main, so I'll most likely get it eventually.
-
Well, speaking from my solo survivor experiences:
- Teammates will straight up refuse to heal or unhook you most of the time.
- You could be running the killer for a long time and nobody will be doing anything productive (Doing gens, cleansing/blessing totems)
- Someone will DC on their first down/hook or sacrifice themselves first hook, therefore ruining the balance of the game
- Sometimes teammates will straight up throw the game (By wasting resources, throwing themselves at the killer, fast vaulting over and over again, etc)
- When you're hooked, teammates will loop the killer around your hook until you go into the second state.
- Sometimes teammates will make the oddest mistakes/decisions and you sit there wondering... Why?
And these are just some of them. Solo queue is very dependent on teammates, and about 98% of the time they're useless.
-
Jonah, Tapp, and Yoichi seems to be the survivors I see the very least.
-
2019 was the best year for DBD for me. No unnecessary "meta shakeups", fun perks for both sides, old maps with a creepy aesthetic, fun games at a casual level. Sure there were a lot of bugs (mainly the flying survivor one lol), but I had a lot of fun back then.
-
Yeah honestly the Alice outfit is not it. It's just Kate's default hair with messy, choppy bangs and an ugly outfit with stockings that don't even match the rest of the outfit. They could've done better with this.
-
Because Boons are generally weaker than Hex perks.
The only viable/strong boon was COH, and that's getting nerfed so all boons are pretty much equal now in terms of strength.
Hex perks can instantly down survivors, effect generators, cause other status effects, etc. And are map wide.
Boons only give you a small weak effect in a small circle in an area of the map. Even with multiple boons stacked they're still pretty weak.
-
Yeah I'm not too keen on the self healing nerfs because self healing was the only thing that made solo survivor playable. Now that's been thrown away with the COH and Medkit nerfs, solo is gonna be more miserable.
-
Toolboxes had already received major nerfs back when they changed the sabotaging mechanic. The only addon that needs a nerf is BNP. I do agree that some of the stronger killers need their stronger addons nerfed.
-
Unfortunately, I don't see them reverting the Dead Hard and/or COH changes.
COH should've kept its self healing aspect, but only for the boon owner and not the rest of the team. Dead Hard needs a better activation method because both proposed activation methods are kinda bad.
-
Artist: Served Hands. I love how it makes the match chaotic.
Dredge: Malthinker's Skull/Broken Doll.
-
I don't know how to feel about it tbh. It seems cool, but like I also don't really care. If that makes any sense at all lol
-
The only lightburn changes I agree with is Wraith, Artist, and Hag's. Nurse's should've stayed (as it required actual skill to perform).
-
I'll probably only play killer after this update. Solo survivor got obliterated and is officially dead, no reason to play with the healing nerfs. No perks left to use to help make it bareable.
Granted, killers got their gen regression perks taken away, which will suck for m1/weaker killers. I'll stick to playing Artist and Dredge, and probably will pick up Legion again with all the healing nerfs.
Definitely will be playing significantly less when this update goes through.
-
The healing nerfs literally encourages survivors to do gens faster. There's not gonna be a point of healing when it will take so long.
Solo survivor will get obliterated into oblivion because of the COH and base healing nerfs. Top tier survivors will just rush gens and/or play selfishly.
Survivor isn't and still won't be easy mode.
-
I wish they'd let the boon owner keep the self care action, but not give it to the rest of the team. COH was one of the very few perks that made solo survivor bareable. Can't rely on teammates because they straight up refuse to heal other teammates most times.
-
I'm not going to spend actual money on something that's not worth it. Plus with the now constant FOMO cosmetics, the direction the game is going in, and constant bad decision making, I refuse to give them any more money.
-
She's still a horrible killer.
She's still miserable to face.
Her power encourages 3 gen-ing and camping, just like her Addons.
Her perks are bad, the only semi decent one being THWACK!
Her lore is literally so bad and poorly written.
Her visual design is bland.
There is nothing redeeming about this killer. She's one of the he worst killers released to date.
-
I agree. With it's nerf, it should be a regular hook perk and affect all generators.
-
@ad19970 said:
The healing nerf alone would have been enough to make CoH not a problem anymore. Its the one perk nerf I hope they revert.
This.
Honestly the healing nerfs would be fine if they kept COH the same. The changes would directly nerf COH.
There's no point of boons anymore, unless you bring Shadow Step which is the only decent boon left standing.
-
Pain Resonance was fine they was it was. There was no need for nerfs. But it doesn't surprise me it's getting nerfed considering it's usage rate. Because everything with a high usage rate gets unnecessarily nerfed and obliterated.
-
Disagreed. Most of these changes are very overdone and some unnecessary.
-
I feel the same. COH was the only perk that made solo bearable and they gutted it. I do agree that this perk needed changes, but it's too much of a nerf. They could have at least kept the self healing part for the one who brought and blessed the totem.
Also Medkits and base healing getting nerfed. Medkits should just be considered useless now when it comes to self healing, and now Sloppy Butcher will most likely become base kit because of the 24 second healing time. So more time spent healing.
If these changes actually go through (which knowing BHVR, they will), people are just going to start bringing gen rush builds and try to get out of the match as soon as possible.
Also camping, tunneling, and 3 gen-ing not being addressed even though these are problematic.
-
Yeah I've already considered just abandoning the game after reading those changes. Specifically the healing builds.
COH was the only perk left that made solo bearable and they stripped that of everything that made it good. They could've kept the self healing bit by just giving it to the one who brought and set up the boon and nobody else.
Sloppy Butcher will now be meta because healing takes 24 seconds, almost as long as current Self Care. Now Self Care will be longer and even more miserable to use. Medkits have been nerfed, making them useless.
Two terrible chapters in a row and now nerfing the only mechanic/perks in the game that can make solo at least a bit bearable? It's ridiculous.
-
I like the uniqueness of it, but it makes playing Wraith and Hag even more miserable than it already is.
-
Too much grind you have to do to get rewarded with very little shards. They should either decrease the grind for shards or increase the amount given at the end of each level.
-
I just want a chance to actually do something in the match
-
Yeah Adepts shouldn't depend on the other players decision to leave the game. It's kind of unfair.
-
Honestly I think it's just a nice little thing there to reward players for supporting the game. It's nothing to really miss out on, unlike the full outfits from the "Events".
-
It does feel better to play against her than before, but her 3 gen issue is still not resolved. In fact, they made it worse this update. She just needs a while rework because her current power isn't it and there's no way to nerf the 3 gen strat without ruining her power.
-
Least favorite: Tools Of Torment. It's the only chapter I didn't really care about and the only redeeming quality was the survivors.
Favorite: Portrait Of A Murder. Mainly for Artist as I don't play Jonah at all. This chapter introduced one of my favorite killers in the game and my main, so it's definitely my favorite. I also like Eyrie Of Crows, even after it's changes. I just love the aesthetic of the map.

The whole scoring system for survivor needs reworked imo. New scoring events need added and maybe move different scoring events to different categories (Example: Move the escaping a chase scoring event to the Survival category instead of Boldness).
