I think the bots in Custom Match are sometimes more difficult than a lot of players you actually face (wall hacks and such), especially if you give them items (like auto-lock beamers) and great synergistic perks which I love doing because making it too easy wont prepare you for the actual difficult matches you have. But it's great practice when trying out new Killers and Perk combinations.

If you have the Iridescent shards, definitely use them. They can always be gathered up through gameplay.

You can turn off end-game chat, don't have to see a damn word of it.
I agree to that. No one wants to see that salt from the sea, but why should they be able to openly be toxic?

It's not a lunge my man.
It's got a turn limit, a wind up time, and it has a range of 16m, which is larger than Chucky S&D, Wesker double bound, Dracula double bound.
It's more of a Dash than Pig's Ambush Dash, and we even call that a Dash, and besides that, it still doesn't change the point, this version of Myers doesn't play like Myers. We're back to Myers waddling around loops up close to stalk Survivors to then try and Pig Ambush around tiles.
Despite being one of the weaker killers in teh game, Myers is still one of the most popular, the reasons for which are something special... it's not being meta, it's not being able to do crazy hits at tiles... it's because he IS Myers, and this set of changes ruins that.
What's wrong for example with keeping the stance switch, but have his stalk work like before, but then giving him a pallet break on hisnlunge of his secondary killer power button that costs him maybe 1/8th of his EW to fast break a pallet like Hillbilly? Combined with Enduring, that makes Myers actually threatening and still feel like Myers... even more like Myers in fact, as a unstoppable power walking menace.
Spot on, my chad. Myers got the Pig treatment.

Can we also put an action plan in focusing on the unsportsmanlike behavior of unhinged players in the EGC? Like players who DC shouldn't have the ability to type out what they're feeling in the moment into the EGC.

I like the social aspect in games, communication and making new friends. Even just saying something like "gg that was close" adds to the social experience, and being able to actually communicate with people I add to my friends list. This game seems like a perfect environment for it, yet for some reason console players are completely banned from chat and can't even see it? Every other crossplay game I've played on Xbox allows chatting.
So let me get this straight, a pc player has a keyboard plugged in to their pc and they are allowed to chat. I have a keyboard plugged into my Xbox, but I'm not allowed to chat. Makes absolutely zero sense. (yes, Xbox has USB ports and keyboard functionality in case the devs aren't aware of it)
I don't think you'd enjoy it as much as you think you would. You know public lobby and in-game chats like Overwatch? I mute my mic and often the game voice chat unless I'm with squads. I'm personally glad when I play console I don't have to see it, but I still get sloppy DMs occasionally.

iLOVE Hex builds, iHATE the luck I have with the RNG, so that deters me from ever touching Hex builds. Playing against it, it's eventually found early on.
-
It's the same as it's always been for me since 2017: A pool of players of various skill levels, most of the time feeling like I have bot-filled lobbies.

If I'm not wearing my glasses, I'm seeing different artwork on many different perks.

Profile customization is always a welcome addition to any online social gathering, though there's many that understandably wish to remain incognito.

Don’t believe that a comp mode would ever work out with the majority being casuals.

I think toxicity and griefing are just harder to spot in killers. BMing like taunting, flashlight clicking, and throwing down pallets is obvious in survs. But what about being targeted/tunneled? You don't know the killers motivation. Is it a tactic to win or is because they don't like your character, your name, that you're a steamer, that they recognize your name from a previous match that you won, or that you wore blue on Tuesday? It's also not uncommon for killers to slug me with the intention of me bleeding out for absolutely no reason. I've had two of those in the last month.
I had a killer yesterday that got mad at me for the crime of winning my chases and hitting them with pallets. They hit me on the hook and then camped me into second stage.
And full transparency, I basically never taunt, but I escaped that match and you better believe I taunted them on the way out. From their perspective, I was probably the toxic one just for that.
Definitely agree, there are killers who have bad intentions, just like survivors. I’ve had my handful of them that slug and don’t pick up. I’ve been especially dry humped, slugged til bleed out, hit on hook, for looping too long or a pallet/flashlight save. I really don’t care about it as long as my team is able to get out while I waste the killer’s time for as long as possible, they can get their 1k, good for them. It’s the team sabotage or insta DCs because of killer preferences, etc that irks me. Like we’re supposed to be there for each other, not indirectly helping the killer.
-
In my experience since playing mid 2017, I’ve had a handful of toxic killers, but an unfathomable amount of toxic survivors that cause nothing but grief in my games. I do know it’s from me mostly playing solo queue 90% of my matches unless my squad adds me into a random community tournament to play in.
Biggest issues I’ve encountered in other survivors were the severe ego trips and lack of accountability, and when they don’t get the gameplay they wanted then it results in a DC, sandbagging and throwing of the match. Afterwards were commonly angry rant messages about the killer or the teammates not doing what they wanted them to do. There’d be less of a solo queue issue if there was more of self-reflection, improvement, and accountability than pointing fingers. -
Agreed, it’s the PTB for a reason, and even though it normally goes through to live servers unchanged, this one is the largest update we’ve had in a long time, an update that affects all tiers of the killer roster and all survivors; making sure it’s ironed out so that both sides can have an enjoyable experience is crucial in making it a true success. Rushing this just based off of personal feelings is irrational and only leads to bigger mess. In the meantime, play the game, win or lose, look back at what plays were made that won or lost the game, analyze those plays, and improve your game.
-
Coming from a toxic Nea main of the old days (2017-2019) with comp swf neas, even I feel bad about this update. It’s waay too much, as if our competent SWFs needed this (we don’t but thanks?), we’re fine without it, but ofc it’s tailored to the newer or inexperienced players; the issue is that it’s a massive bonus for us who are already efficient survivors and will be an absolutely horrible experience for your average killer main. I’m sorry, yall.
-
You won’t feel these anti updates against your average survivor or SWF. But get an actual competent team and you’ll notice a drastic difference.

Im editing this to explain how toxic the community is, I like ips and the orignal dbd killers, other people differ instead of keeping their mouth shut they target ips for no reason trying to block them from being added to the game if dbd had a poll they basically would vote not to add any, the reason being? They're edgy? They literally have no reason to call ips goofy what is goofy about it? You're basically calling ip retainers goofy for their ideals
A staggering number of people will complain about any and everything in this world. The community is no different. It is what it is; No one should let anyone in any game phase them in any way.

im so tired of playing against try hards. I play survivor i get try hard killers. I play killer i get try hard survivors. Like matches of clearly full parties who get no hooks they using flashbangs and head on. Like fix the system and put try hards against try hards. Cause its legit taking the fun out of the game. Survivors shouldnt be able to bully a killer. And honestly idc really going against a try hard killer but does stink when you get put on a team of incompetent players then its basically get out the hatch or just go out tea bagging like just do it already so i can start a new match. Cause like id use left behind but im trying to get whole team out. I usually run Deja Vu, Blast mine, Built for this, and windows of opportunity. Im just saying id rather play a leisurely match that i can enjoy not go up against sweaty try hard after sweaty try hard.
There could be a Casual and Ranked mode, but you'd still get try hards in both modes; it's just how some people want to play.

Commiting to a down every chase isn't good for the lower half of the killer roster. Hit and run doesn't work because they just heal the whole chase away in about 10 seconds.
No current killer perk is good for anti heal. Before anyone says it, Sloppy Butcher only slowing the healing speed down by like 25% does extremely little.
Still not sure why Franklin's got gutted
I love using Nurses Calling on my lower tier killers. Disrupts them a lot of the time unless they're in the corners of the map. But then again, I'm constantly moving around to be as productive/efficient as possible.

I think Myers and I envision Lethal Pursuer
I think Pig and I envision Make Your Choice (But I don't run it. Surry.) -

What do you do if you hook someone in the centre of the map and you only see the aura of one person working on a gen? On DennisReeps BBQ is still one of the best rated killer perks so I wanted to try it on Wesker but last game the survivors kept going down in the centre of the map and because the range is 40m I'd either see no one or just one person working on a gen. Should I have camped? Maybe I should have checked the gens closest to the hook but the problem was there was 1 gen 30m east of the hook and another 30m west so by the time I got to one of them someone else could get a safe hook save. Idk I'm starting to think maybe BBQ isn't good any more because the 40m range is too far. Like if you hook someone in the middle of any map that means survivors in 80% of the maps area won't be revealed basically.
Oh, BBQ has withstood the passage of time to remain one of the fan favorites for a reason. Not seeing survivors from BBQ just informs you that they're either close by or in a locker; more of the former than latter. You could also try the optional perk Friends til the End which acts as a singular BBQ regardless of range and exposes the obsession. Information perks are very powerful tools in making impactful plays.

If I'm not the runner of the squad, I'm the main Healer/General Support.
As Healer, I prefer using Botany Knowledge (Has no drawbacks), Desperate Measures (Fast unhooks and heals depending on the situation), Kindred (Essential in Solo for me)/ Reassurance (Slows down the camping so either gens can be done/Hexs can be popped, or time to reset), and Empathic Connection ( Like Botany, it has no drawbacks + Healing boost + a larger meter Bond for teammates).
For General Support, I use Shoulder the Burden (Gives teammate another chance to survive), Reassurance (Gives us time to reset/form a plan), Prove Thyself (Help pop gens faster for teammates), usually random support.
-
I main 3: Pig, Shape, and Ghostie since I grew up watching these iconic legends and I love jumpscares in the game. But I do find Pig most enjoyable due to Jigsaw's RBTs.
-
The disappointment I had when they announced TCoFS wasn't getting its own Chapter, but instead getting only a Trapper legendary skin of Frank was tremendous. TCoFS was denied its proper respect and tribute in DBDverse.

I personally find turning Pig into another dash slop killer to be not my cup of tea. Her Traps is what truly made her unique upon her debut in 2018, and paved the way for those side quests Survivors had to go on to remove status ailments, etc. As it is now, the focus is primarily on her Ambush makes her a lower dash killer with a mediocre RBT ability. It adds pressure, but not enough to really be considered a major threat.
Her ability to come out with a w REALLY relies heavily on the player making the right choices in the match, and no, not talking about camping or tunneling to secure a win since that’s just an ez button for literally any killer to make up for the lack of a solid basekit. I feel like her traps should be respectably and reasonably adjusted.

is by far the worst even in all of dbd. Survivors get unlimited pallets, block vault windows, and be completely quiet.. and what does killer get? The ability to hook from afar, 50% resistance to a stun, and remote destroy (which still takes time to break a pallet). Yeah what a load of dog water.
Those pallets shatter when used… They're useless unless you're a walking zombie killer. Blocking vaults is the only semi-useful ability, and Quiet mode is great for flash or pallet saves for killers lacking awareness. Killer gets remote removal of pallets during a chase; there's no killer animation for breaking the pallets remotely and it's perfect for zoning. Having enduring built in is amazing as well. Remote hooks help save time, as every second really counts to make the best out of maintaining consistent pressure.
You're venting, that's fine. Relax -
The main thing I personally find stressful is the Queue times for killer rn.

Stats from my last 30 days played. Top survivor hasn't played during the anniversary and has a 66% escape rate. Bottom survivor has only played during the anniversary event and has a 65% escape rate.
Not sure what anyone else's stats would suggest but found it interesting. No real difference for me.
Here's the thing, stay with me here — Your experience isn't everyone else's experience. Congrats you're (and even myself) having a good time, but some people are having it rough.
-
Literally how tunneling goes. It's not a good survivor experience.
-
Survivor: Badass Iconic Female Protagonist
Killer: Bacon -
In addition to being slugged out, something should also be done about face camping once all gens are done and just being unable to escape hook, especially if NOED is right next to the hooked survivor. That guarantees a 1k alone.
-
A Nurse main. Man, get me out of the match.
-
Map offerings should definitely be returned to your inventory if they don’t actually guarantee you the map you selected. It just makes sense — if you’re using a limited resource to try and influence the map, and it doesn’t work, a waste; I honestly would prefer then to be removed from the game entirely, iirc.
Players often use map offerings for strategic reasons like you said, Undead— like practicing loops, completing challenges, or making certain builds more viable — and burning one only to end up on a completely different map is frustrating and unrewarding. If the system isn’t going to guarantee the outcome, then not refunding the offering feels more like a gamble than a strategy. Returning it if the map isn’t chosen would be a fair quality-of-life change that respects player time and resources, imo.

HYPE!!!
Glad our Pig memorabilia is becoming more accessible. You just reminded me of the fact, that we can use survivor only charms on killer now as well. I always wanted to have the tape recording hanging on my hooks. Its like in the films:
The survivor is in a dangerous situation (on hook with a trap) an has to reach out to get the tape recording to listen to the games rules.
Its a tough choice over Billy on the tricycle tough…
Im doing fine! Thank you! Although the amount of BOOPs in my matches has decreased as of late. T🐽T
NEVER replace Billy on the tric charm, not even a choice. 😣

I had lightborn on because a while ago I had a few flashlight squads so lightborn was there just to prevent any annoyance then completely forgot I still had it. An Adam got upset because I had it because it prevented him from saving a teammate who was out in the open. So I'm supposed to give him flashlight saves? I've had killers bring lightborn when I was doing a challenge requiring blinding the killer annoying yes but some people just don't want to deal with flashlights I'm not going to get upset with them but it's a single perk if you brought no flashlight then it's a waste of a perk slot plus if your wanting to save a teammate...take a protection hit?
People get upset over the smallest of inconveniences, it’s just how games have always been; moreso than others. Best thing to do is just brush it off, they’re going to be salty over anything that doesn’t go their way.
The influx of “go next” players is a testament to this statement, as any inconvenience results in them just dying on hook, denying their team even a bot to help them. That’s inconsiderate of the ones who stayed behind to play because their teammate was salty and left them in a near un-winnable situation. Guess that’s supposed to be fine to ruin everyone else’s games because they’re upset something didn’t go the way they wanted it.
Jester?
People are disagreeing with you. You're incorrect. Accept this.
It's a discussion, not a popularity contest; there's other places for that. Seems out of pocket to even nitpick at anything you can considering you're actually the one people are disagreeing with on majority of these posts you've made. It's an observation that didn't have to be mentioned until you had to go and make that reach. Right or wrong, mentioning someone's Likes or Dislikes to prove something is almost as wild as a streamer shaming someone's low following to invalidate the other's points. Should try to be considerate next time.
