"unlikely scenario" literally describes all survivor perks/perk combos. In theory, some combos could be nice but they are going to work once in a blue moon. I guess the devs are too scared to make good perks or allow good synergy.
-
So, when are you going to revert this?
-
Killers will still get it nerfed with their constant complaints so it doesn't even matter.
-
I can show you a million videos where 1v1 against a Nurse, on any map, will end up with the survivor dead in 5 seconds. Does that mean the Nurse needs to be gutted? No, because a real game isn't straight up a 1 v 1, there's so much more going on.
-
What is even the point of buffing something if it's just as useless after the said buff? The devs really need to stop being bullied by killer mains into backpedalling on every single decision they make(anyone remembers the Hillbilly overheat that got reverted so hard now everyone says you have to want to overheat in order for the mechanic to do anything?).
-
It's funny how killer mains always find an "intended way" to use survivors perks just to justify demanding completely unreasonable nerfs. Dead Hard was "intended" to be what it is and to work how it works. At no point did they say "you have to bait or DH into the killer".
Just stop with this nonsense.

WHAT THE ######### ARE YOU ON ABOUT? I can force a pallet break in less than 10s and then boom the killer can't find me anymore
What are YOU on about? 45 seconds - 32 seconds per heal = 13 seconds of actual perk usage.

Alright, hold up.
why does this whole thing read like
'it's so bad that you altered a change that would have given survivors an unfair advantage just because people said it'd give survivors an unfair advantage'
y'know, I'd actually go much further and bar lucky break from being used together with iron will entirely
You are just bad at reading probably. This whole thing reads "why did you over react and made it useless instead of actually putting some thought into it and coming up with a more sensible change if a change was needed?"
-
@Mandy said:
We are going to monitor feedback around the changes made in the patch today, and the designers will look into the feedback surrounding Lucky Break.
And nothing is going to happen. We heard this before. It's the same thing that happened to MOM. That wasn't a nerf, it was a death sentence. But new Lucky Break wasn't nearly as broken as MOM so I don't get why the designers keep using a hammer for balance changes instead of doing more sensible tweaks.
What is even the point of buffing something if it still isn't going to be used?
-
Oh, so you have to use a purple/green medkit with good addons and a perk slot to be able to get a tiny bit of use out of Lucky Break. Interesting balance standards you have.
-
Well you are probably going to dodge 1 lobby from 100 so who cares lol.

I think, I remember correctly, all those ‘perma’ bans got lifted after they fixed the bug.
But they still happened, right? So it directly contradicts the narrative that only exploits that affect survivors are bannable/fixed.
-
@JimbusCrimbus said:
Because it's a bug that favors survivors, it's not bannable. Because survivor fun>killer fun. Historically true as well. Remember the wake-up bug?
If it was a killer bug, as has been seen in the past, the devs would put a warning in game and ban killers for it. Remember double blades Legion?
So when survivors got permanently banned for abusing the Asylum exploits a while ago? Oh, we don't talk about that because it doesn't fit your agenda.
To further prove you are completely wrong and just biased, according to your own logic why isn't the J Flick bannable? Why wasn't it fixed already since it doesn't benefit survivors in any way?

Survivors do anything: "man these entitled survivors always doing scummy things"
Killers literally DC because they don't like the map/they think it's SWF/ they don't like the skins/items: "fair and balanced, as all things should be".
Do you see the hypocrisy?

But survivors can get so easly all perks. And that is fair?
How can the survivors "get so easly all perks"? You have to grind just as much, even more actually since there are more survivors. There is no difference in unlocking perks between killers and survivors.
In fact, killers earn more bloodpoints on average than survivors.

Alternatively, keys are OP and emblem system is bad.
Alternatively keys are fine and emblem system is bad. I don't get why killer mains complain with so much passion about stuff that affects them like 1 in 100 matches.
The only thing that should be changed is add like a 5s opening animation so you can't do it right in the killer's face or find hatch accidentally during a chase and escape.

How hard can it be?
Obviously still to hard since it's a whole 5 steps. That's 4 steps too many.
-
Remember the asylum exploits where a lot of survivors got permanently banned for abusing it? You probably don't because it doesn't suit your agenda and the narrative you are trying to create.
Remember when the Nurse was bugged for a year and you could look up during fatigue, effectively making Nurse completely broken and removing any kind of counterplay? No killer main got banned for abusing it.
-
When you get a double pallet loop it means the map couldn't spawn the minimum amount of pallets so it forced one there just to meet the quota. What this actually means is the RNG favors you, because the map has the minimum number of pallets possible.
-
Another perk with artificial restrictions because the devs are scared of accidentally making a good/meaningful survivor perk.
-
Yea, what about no? That would be completely OP, especially with how most maps have 1/2 pallets/windows in an area and then a big deadzone until you get to the next area. If the perk worked like you wanted it to, it would guarantee a hit/down because it would essentially double the deadzone size.
Plus, who even thought that's a good design? It's basically punishing survivors for using the resources THEY ARE MEANT TO USE TO SURVIVE. Why don't we give survivors a perk that stuns the killer for 30 seconds each time he hooks a survivor? It would be the same thing.
Bamboozle kinda works because the killer has to do something to trigger it - vault a window, it's not an instant punishment for the survivor for doing what he is supposed to do to stay alive.
-
No, if you are unable to keep track of slugged survivors then do not slug. If you still want to slug then the game offers you a helping hand in terms of using Deerstalker.

You know that healing yourself removes ds.
So i'm not sure why you would bring ds and a build to heal yourself mid chase and then complain they don't work together.
Did you even read the topic? It is about how DS shouldn't deactivate when you heal yourself. I'm not sure why you commented at all when clearly the point of the topic when over your head.
-
@MrDardon said:
If you have time to heal, you are NOT being tunneled.
Should I say anything else? Or is it clear enough?
Seems you didn't play survivor, like ever. You can bring a medkit and heal a tiny bit after every pallet/loop. You trade distance for a tiny bit of heal progress.
Any other opinions you want to share with us? Can I make this any more clear for you?
-
No. Stop trying to ruin this game with stuff like stamina, first person view for survivors and other crap like that.
-
"why are survivors still using the same 4 perks devs change the meta im angry"
devs buff a perk and make it half decent so maybe 5 people will actually use it
"omg another meta perk ######### going to be so op everyone will quit and the sky is falling"

Freddy or Huntress.
Freddy's kit is bloated with strong stuff that's way too easy to use. I would suggest a change that makes him stronger but way harder to play, but I think the devs are simply not doing that so I think he should get nerfed.
Huntress could use a small buff to her base kit, she feels kind of outdated. Don't get me wrong, she is strong and all, but she has gotten stale with time. Her add-ons are either boring and weak or boring and extremely strong. Her 110% movement speed is also a pain in the ass and makes her way too map dependant.
Make Freddy EVEN stronger? Nope, just no.

Pretty much sums it up. I swear this community just needs something to complain about at every moment in time.
OP, just play the game and stop trying to create "issues" where there are none.

@Orion said:
It's not a wasted perk slot if it does indeed prevent the killer from tunneling. People who think perks are only useful if you get to use them need to look up MAD - and I don't mean the magazine.
So you are saying something that is designed and intended to be used in game shouldn't actually be used? Why don't you run Monstrous Shrine? Cause that's also something you won't ever get to use.

We monitor all feedback, not just to one side but the game as a whole.
I want to believe that, but solo queue has been miserable to play for a long time and nothing was ever done or even acknowledged. Even if some people here don't want to admit, a lot has been done in the last few years to make killers life much better and changes keep happening for them. Yet, nothing to help solo survivors.
-
If the bug caused killers to miss 90% of their hits it would be fixed within hours. When we had the previous desync bug it took then 2 weeks to fix it.

Old Legion had 0 counterplay. That won't be the case witth Trickster. You will definitely still have ways to prolong the chase as long as possible. The main counterplay being breaking line of sight.
Sure, let's break line of sight in their new reworked Autohaven maps which are literally just empty space.

Hey everyone! 😊
Thanks for leaving all of your comments. We've been reading them all morning, so keep the awesome feedback comin'!
As mentioned in the OG News post, we'll continue monitoring your feedback about The Trickster, as we do with every other Killer. If more tweaks are necessary, they'll be announced in a future update.
Looking forward to hearing what you'll all have to say when the upcoming Bugfix Patch drops! ❤️
When are you going to start monitoring feedback about issues affecting survivors?
-
Look at all these people trolling you for daring to have a different opinion. But the second someone mentions this forum is ruled by killer mains the same people will jump to say it's not true and tell you it's exactly the opposite.
Funny.

Okay so how am I supposed to know if someone wasted killer shack pallet if I'm on the other side of the map in solo? Do you think I have the powers to be in two places at the same time?
Of course you won't have perfect information, but keeping track of everything you see while you move around the map will improve your gameplay considerably + you'll have one more perk slot. When you do notice shack pallet is down you remember than and avoid the shack in the future, if need be.
With Windows of Opportunity you don't have perfect information either. What if the perk is on cooldown? How would you know the shack pallet is down?
I'm not saying the perk is completely useless, but you can do most of what it does by learning the map and paying more attention to your surroundings. Then you'll be able to run another perk that will help you with things that are out of your control(like being tunneled). I just don't see the value in using a perk to do something you can do on your own.
-
Or you could learn the map and pay attention to which areas run out of pallets. It takes some skill, but frees a perk slot.
-
Nice blog post. See you in the game in 2 hours.

The counterplay from what i gathered is to get out of line of sight and just assume the Blight will use the J-Flick, aside from the usual 360s and pre-dropping pallets
Ok, I assume he does a j flick. Now how do I actually counter it? The counter play to Blight is to go around obstacles, but if he does a j flick that no longer works. So I ask again, where is the counterplay?
-
You guys said Sprit was weak DURING and AFTER the ptb. Time proved she's broken.
You guys said Deathslinger is trash DURING and AFTER the ptb. Time proved he is really strong with the free zoning he gets.
You guys said Pyramid Head is trash DURING and AFTER the ptb. Time proved he is really strong.
You also called multiple new survivors perks OP/broken(Any Means Necessarily, For the People, Head On, Deliverance, Desperate Measures) and no one is actually using these perks and some of them got buffed as a result.
Why should anyone listen to killer mains anymore when they call a killer trash after playing him for 5 minutes or watching a video? What kind of credibility do you have?
-
Why does it bother you? Seems like people this days will find anything to be mad about.
-
It's an asymmetrical game. I like how killers use this argument when it suits their agenda, but the second it doesn't they ask to have access to any kind of info/mechanic survivors have and completely forget it's an asymmetrical game.

I honestly don’t know. But that’s just something I would prefer to have.
It is impossible without having DBD act as a spyware and invade players privacy by monitoring every processes running in their pc(which is illegal btw). The more rational solution would be to ignore the fact that they have ttv in their name and don't join their stream.
-
So how do you suggest the game would do that? How is DBD supposed to know if someone is streaming or not?

So if something is bad or useless just dont use it instead of changing it?
Just because you don't see the value in something it doesn't mean it is useless. You have comments in this thread from people saying they enjoy the addon. What makes your opinion more valid than their opinion?
-
If you don't like the addon then do not use it. You have plenty of other options.
