It's a wonder there isn't a mori section in the store. Uhhhh Heck yeah I'd throw down $10 for a different ghostface mori ("It's an Honor").

But you don't get it. If you get new map, you don't have to ever think about sabotages ever any more. They are now impossible. Even perfect sabotage with breakout and taking hit is not enough, because you will still have ample time to just go to next hook.
Sabotage mechanics is just pure bait at this point. The best use case you can get (if you are lucky with hook spawns) is to deny scourge hook. But you will never deny hook altogether.
Developers are really mean with this one. On one hand they buff saboteur and bg player with increasing wiggle progress with breakout and on the other hand they make sabo saves impossible with hook density. Like what is this stupid thing?
I lost 2 games last night to sabotage, it devastated my momentum and I could not recover in the short amount of time I had to make a difference. There is no objective reason that a crippling maneuver like sabotage should be made easier. If the gen times were not comically short, THEN something like easier sabotage might be realistic, but at the moment there is simply no time to facilitate what you're wanting in a way that is even remotely fair.
-
You can't have the game setup to be easy to score gens, but hard to score hooks.
With gens being as fast as they are, one successful sabotage can ruin the killer's shot at winning. It might feel really good when you succeed at sabotage, but it can't be made easier, not with gen times being what they currently are.

For the most part I do believe Ultimate Weapon is a good and balanced perk and gives the killer good information throughout the trial, but the main issue is that once your the only survivor left you pretty much stand no chance.
The killer can simply open a locker and know exactly where you are, and its duration is 30 seconds, which means he can go around the map and guarantee you to reveal your location the moment you enter the killers terror radius. If you hide in a locker, you can’t stay in it for too long otherwise you get idle crows. This should be changed by making the perk disable when your the last survivor.
If you're the last survivor remaining, there isn't any contest left anyway since the killer scored 3 out of the 4 available game points.

30 second CD is far too short, it is insanely strong at 30 seconds.
30 seconds to run around the map, locate everyone, cause them to stop healing, working on gen, etc. And there is no drawback from the killer.
The CD should be atleast 90 seconds for the value this perk gives.
Okay, so you get interrupted and go right back to what you're doing unless you're the one who gets chased. The killer can only go after one person at a time and matches can end in mere minutes. All things considered, I'm not seeing any actual problem with the perk. I doubt that slight inconvenience to survivor agency merits a nerf.
Now if gens couldn't get finished as fast as they can atm then you would definitely need to nerf UW down to Premium Weapon.
But since that's not the case...

Sometimes it feels like rolling a d20 every time I attack to see if it fails due to some out of nowhere endurance effect.
Had somebody mention that it was like it's becoming a "hit lottery," and unfortunately I have to agree.
-
It seems there's an experimental agenda to "bring back the golden age of DbD" by adding game-breaking perk combos for a set amount of time. Although it's received such poor reception, I'm not sure why the project leads continue to plow onward with the idea anyway 🛑

I'm surprised alien didn't bring in alot more players
Doesn't matter what character they add if the gameplay loop sucks.

If this is true, then I guess I couldn't blame anybody. There's only one game type and I wouldn't exactly call it stellar at providing good times.

Given how easy and powerful is camping and reluctance to change it in a meaningful way i.e. basekit monstrous shrine ( with very low % on high mobility and teleporting killers and high% on low mobility) + 90 sec per hook stage , I would say devs are leaning towards killer comfort.
Yes, hits from difficult plays not counting all over the place while the gens get blasted through in minutes is so cozy.

As I've said in a similar ds post.
DS having 4-5 seconds of stun would be fine IF it had its offensive capabilities neutered.
Body blocking with basekit BT, then when the killer punishes you for not allowing him to *not tunnel* the killer gets hit with a 5s stun that is ridiculous.
And in the off chance you misstime your 10s count for basekit BT and give the survivor a hit speed boost, you can't even leave him as a slug because hes just going to b-line to a locker to force DS.
Makes even less sense to revert it when you factor in the gratuitous amount of endurance there is atm.

Hear me out - actually put totems in a good hidden spots, instead of them shining on a hill and being visible from miles away. Ormond has some of the worst totem placements. Midwich, Yamaoka and Haddonfield have really well hidden totems for the most part.
Another idea I have if make all hex totems appear as dull for the first 30 seconds of the match, so survivor can't just immediately cleanse a hex totem knowing it's a hex totem. They need to gamble their time.
Good ideas.
Maybe even block hex totems for some amount of time at match start to guarantee some minimal chance to obtain value.

Playing killer sucks out loud right now because of this stuff.

I agree with the Colors. The Games whole Atmosphere changed way to much. It was way better back then when it cames to the Atmosphere. Darker Colors, Darker Game, better Lighting etc. and many Maps had a bit of a dark colored Filter on it.
It looked amazing, just watch some old 2016-2018 DbD Build Videos. The Devs/Art Team know about that, it was even a Question in the last Player Satisfaction survey. I Hope they also know that they just need to change/rework the Art Direction of all Maps back to how they were back then.
And bring back the fog

- Fast gens.
- Overabundance of resources.
- Second/Third Chances.
- Haste Stacking.
- More god loops than short loops.
- Considerably increased survivability from all the added invincibility effects.
All things considered, there's nothing objectively overpowered about 'Ultimate Weapon' in the current game climate.
I'm not seeing any true necessity for it to get nerfed to 'Premium Weapon,' survivors just don't like being pressured.
-
This whole "recreate a golden age of DbD" thing has really backfired.
-
Current completion rates restrict killer build flexibility and make the game less exciting in higher ranked matches.
It feels more and more like they want to push killers toward going for 12-hook matches, which is noble, but how do you get that to happen if gens can be cranked to 60% completion before the killer can get to 8.3% on hooks?
-
Too many plays not counting (endurance) for it to be fun.
-
Overabundance of resources that are close together, plus aura reads on them all the time.
Yes that does reduce the danger of chases quite a bit.

You have no obligation to, but I'm gonna be blunt, this is horrible logic to follow. Flip what you've just said to a Survivor's POV and you've just created an endless loop. All it does is perpetuate toxicity. Running into a bad group doesn't absolve you of any wrongdoing when you decide to take it out on the next group. You've just decided to become part of the problem at that point.
Play the way you like so long as you're not breaking any rules, but you can't take the moral high ground and preach against toxicity if you stoop to their level. This goes for Survivors as well.
Some people can recognize that there's a person on the other side of the screen and like to play in a way that's fun for everyone. There's nothing wrong with that. If you're in it to win and you'd rather use strategies that help you win, that's fine too. But going out of your way to make things worse for people is never going to be justifiable.
It'd be great if you guys could look into a few ways to incentivize 'not being a jerk' instead of just sort of leaving it to fester.
-
Make sure you're actually correct in what you're saying before you make a post.
-
Think of the lives of survivors as the only 4 points that matter. There is no more game after 3 kills or 3 escapes, because that scores 3 out of 4 available points. The hatch is a consolation mechanic and it's not critical to change it atm
-
Don't forget that you're one part of a 4-man team and are entitled to nothing.

i'm talking specifically about the sloppy butcher addons, especially since medkits have been gutted so heavily. n even worse some addons have both debuffs in one addon. i really don't see how this is fair as where some killers only have 4 perks and 1 addon, some killers have essentially 5 perks, and another addon. i don't think particularly think the blindness and exhaustion addons are that bad because from the top of my head i don't think they can be applied at the same time (except for maybe huntress, but even then they only last for a period of time), or at the very least they have a timer on them.
Gens can be done so fast that there's no contest, but in spite of that, mangle/hemorrhage add-ons somehow aren't fair?
-
Some Dev: What if we left the possibility wide open that you can finish gens so fast that there's no contest?
Other Devs: Effing brilliant, make it so!
-
Let me get this straight,
You play into a basic ambush multiple times, get angry, then write a post using scrub nomenclature like "camping," trying to paint yourself as a victim in need of dev intervention...
Don't develop expectations on what the killer will do (they can use that to their advantage). Killers are the power role, not survivors. Killers make the rules concerning what you're going to have to play around for the win. It's completely on you if you fall into some sort of patterned expectation and get wrecked for it.
-
I'm not sure about making it less fun, but it certainly makes things more awkward.
-
To top it all off, they forgot to add fog

'Adrenaline' off the hook + 'Hope' is the real buzzkill.

well is should at least not gain a stack or cool-down reduction when hitting a survivor with the endurance status effects.
Until there's no collision when endurance is active, that's a no-go.

Well damn, I thought they didn't like to make exceptions like this. Literally every other instance of screaming is suppressed by a locker so this one should be too.
Wouldn't make sense to call it "Ultimate Weapon" if it isn't S-tier, plus it helps M1 killers keep their heads above water and I'm thankful for anything that helps keep the weak killers viable.
-
If the killer has not found a survivor for 4 minutes, the entity grants 'whispers' until the next chase starts.

Often times I'm not sweating or even trying but my opponents still accuse me of it because I won :/
Right?
If I sit down to play chess with a master and they kick my butt in 4 moves, it's because they knew better than I did from experience, there's no tension involved.
Frankly, I think calling somebody sweaty is the weirdest form of copium. It's beyond me how people will forget what a game is and call each other "sweaty" in a PvP setting as if you're not supposed to try to beat the other side....it literally makes no sense.
-
I'd like to recommend that if you play survivor, step into the role viewing each killer as a unique challenge; a different flavor of the same nightmare that will throw you into the shithouse if you screw up.
Respectfully, it's feeling like a few folks lately are viewing the killer like it's supposed to be some sort of fun times vending machine with 4 people in line to push it's buttons every match and skip off with treats 🤔
-
Wiggle only exists so killers can't take survivors to the basement every time.
It can't be the case that it's easy for survivors to score on generators, but tough for killers to score on hooks.
There was a time when 'boil over' was more powerful and the whole game turned into a lame duck circus.

Huntress has an easily executable counter. So does nurse. Are they not dangerous killers?
'Don't get shot' and 'Don't get teleported to' are not easy counters.
-
If they restored the fog, the offerings would make more sense.
-
Xenomorph is actually fine considering how fast gen speed still is.
If people want gen speeds to stay fast, then killers need to be stronger. Xeno's strength is not inappropriate.

Its not balanced at all. Ducked behind the side of the hood of a car on Haddonfield. Killer on opposite side of the car. Tail still hit by flicking it to the side after fully extended. Killer powers should all have an easily executable counter. Not necessarily that itll work every time, but not something that requires thousands of hours in the game and reflexes faster than most humans are capable of to execute. Most of the playerbase is not the top 1% of elite survivors and as an 85%ish percent of the time solo queue player this is honestly making the game boring and unplayable as my teammates drop so quickly that its impossible to win. Ive even resorted to Overcome/Lucky Break to ensure I never get caught. And tbh thats an unfair survivor perk combo.
If there's an easily executable counter, then the killer isn't dangerous.
-
Barely any time has passed since D-day, it takes time for counter-play to develop.

dude every streamer is super tilted over how broken op the alien is, make your rounds on twitch.
It may come as a shock, but counter-play takes more time to develop than sparse play over the course of 72 hours.
This is why TikTok sucks.

this is definitely a fair point but i think it’s unreasonable to EXPECT someone to pay real money for a character they don’t want just to be able to play against that character,
i know it shouldn’t be easy, i don’t want it easy, i want it to be reasonable. i haven’t seen a single person in any of my games escape against there xenomorph since it came out no matter how good they are.
Since it came out? It hasn't even been 48 hours...
-
I don't see a problem, considering how fast the gens can be completed.

@nekomrade said:
Please my only issue with the alien as a killer is the tail spear feels like there’s no telegraph other than an audio cue that gives you no time to react unless you have super senses. this is even worse for people who are hard of hearing. there needs to be some kind of visual cue as well as give enough time to react to that cue. obviously this isn’t an issue when not in runner mode but i CANNOT rely on my teammates to set up any turrets and i can’t myself if im being tunneled non-stop.
Maybe you should play it yourself for awhile and develop more of a prescience for when the Xenomorph might try to strike. Having the tail strike wind up like a huntress hatchet wouldn't make sense because of the limited range, it'd turn the killer into a celebrity punching bag, and as fun as that might be for survivors, nobody wants to play a killer that isn't respectably dangerous vs the gen speed.
Also, try not to forget that escaping is not supposed to be easy as a cakewalk, it's called a trial for a reason.

Stbfl, Rapid Brutality & Coup is dangerous.

Maybe if those Killers would improve instead of DCing they might not want to DC in future games.
The time in game is too short for all kinds of hits to not count. One can only take so much of a successful play getting soaked by endurance before they just don't want to play anymore because of how unfair it feels.
