CoH was already nerfed, DH changes are apparently in the works, Iron Will is fine as is. Boohoo.

Imagine calling the CoH change a nerf. It did nothing. It was 4 seconds. It only LOOKS big when people say '25%', but when you crunch the number, it equates to: 2 seconds more to heal a friend. 4 seconds more to self-heal.

This was the biggest non-nerf in DBD history, and deliberately done to allow Survivors to say 'CoH was major nerfed! 25%! Stop whining!' while still giving them their OP perk. The best of both worlds for Survivors; a fake nerf to point at, and a still-broken healing perk to play with.

Oh yeah, and now Boil OP is broken as well. 25% if the Killer steps on a twig, but the 6.25% from the new wriggle mechanic (1 second), for a grand total of 31.25% free wriggle progress.

I wonder why Killers are leaving.

  • Oh, they're well away the CoH nerf does nothing. The whole point was to make it LOOK big (A whole 25% sounds like allot!) but ensure it did nothing to weaken CoH.

This way, Survivors could claim 'The devs majorly nerfed CoH by 25%! Killers need to stop complaining!' while full knowing it was only 4 seconds of nerf, and in no way affected the perk's usability. This way, they could continue to enjoy a broken perk while telling Killers to stop being upset about it.

There are games that will ban you if you receive too many reports, or will put you in low priority queue. Why can't DBD do that?

Because there's 4 Survivors to 1 Killer, per match.

Imagine if groups of Survivors in SWFs mass-report Killers for supposed 'slugging', 'tunneling', or 'camping', when all the Killer did was win.

  • @nicnc82 said:

The devs confirmed they are working on ways to punish and counter hard camping and tunneling more. They do see its a problem. And I am glad they are working on ways. And I'm a killer main.

Face camping; sure. But not tunneling. If I want to focus someone out of the game because they have a nasty perk combo; that's my choice as the Killer, and the game should in no way tell me who I can and cannot kill, or when, or how.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2772493#Comment_2772493

Nah its not. Its 25% if you drop somewhere. And its 1second if you hit all great skillchecks (which relates to the full time, not the shortened period). Those are two different things that not relate to each other. Just summing them up is false.

If the person DROPS, and you HIT THE SKILLCHECKS, you get 31% of your wriggle bar.

They can both happen, so adding them together is not 'false'. Because they can both happen. At the same time. As in, you can hit all skillchecks while the Killer falls from even 1 inch & gives you 25%. Thus, you get 31% for free.

How is that hard to understand?

  • @Tiufal said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2772388#Comment_2772388

If you hit ALL the great skillchecks in time its a measly 1 second. Dont complain about something this minor. And its 25%, not 31%. And there are more than enough maps that have no double story buildings to abuse this at all. There is exactly npo need to play around somethin you also see as soon as you pick them up.

    And its 25%, not 31%

It's 31% when you add Boil Over and the Wriggle Buff of 'one second'. That 'one second' is 6.25% of the wriggle bar. I stated that very clearly.

So that 'one second' is not minor. It's 6.25% of the wriggle bar.

  • @Tiufal said:

It basically does nothing until you drop down somewhere. How powerful that is. Hilarious.

Considering there's also the free 6% reduction to the wriggle gauge (the 1 second buff Survivors got), ANY drop, even a drop of 1 inch, gives Survivors 31% of their wriggle gauge.

How powerful that is is right, just not in the way you meant.

  • @El_Gingero said:

The new Boil Over is fun for survivors and I’m going to use a lot, but as a killer I’m sort of miffed because I already have to play around DH, DS, BT, and Unbreakable, minimum, even if the survivors aren’t running any of them.

Now Boil Over is added to that list. That’s 5 perks that change how I play the game even when nobody has them equipped!

Will killer ever get tools like this?

Also I’ve noticed that although I’m a killer, I’m only excited to try out new survivor goodies with recent patches. Anyone else in the same boat?

Will killer ever get tools like this?

Umm...NoED would like a word with you?

  • CoH should have a limited amount of healing in it before it self-snuffs.

And Survivors should not be able to re-place Boons on a totem that already had a Boon in the past. So survivors would have to move around to use their boons, instead of infinitely placing CoH in a perfect spot and getting more use out of it than any other perk to exist.

  • @GoshJosh said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2771429#Comment_2771429

Guess you’re ok with bringing back old BNPs and AHS then? Since they should be game changing, not just do 25% of a gen or bring back to fully healthy from any healthy state immediately.

Nice whataboutisms. Not even worth arguing because it's clear you're going to use whatboutisms and slippery slope fallacies instead of real discussion points.

Iris SHOULD BE GAME CHANGING. Not 'freaking broken'. BNPs could end the match in 5 seconds. Iri Myers cannot; he has to stalk so much from the Survivors before he hits that point.

But keep flailing angrily, I guess?

  • Iri addons SHOULD be powerful and game-changing. Would that EVERY Killer's power be changed and powered-up with their Iris.

  • I once had a match where I killed 3 of 4 people; 2 solo Q's and then 1 part of a 2-man SWF. The part of the SWF killed himself on hook, since his buddy said he had found the hatch (this was years ago).

Of course; I was a trash Killer for not getting the 4K. I mean, any GOOD Killer would have somehow teleported to the hatch and somehow grabbed the Survivor humping it 0.0000025 seconds after hooking his friend. Clearly. 😂

I pointed out that 1) I killed 3 of 4 people and 2) He only got the hatch because he was making love to the damn lock AND used voice comms to tell his friend to give up ASAP (cheat with friends; yaaaay!). Nope! Still evidence that I was a trash Killer who should uninstall and throw my PC out a window because I was a disgrace to all games. 😔

So I just laughed and left.

Some people can't be happy winning or losing; they have to make the 'other team' feel as miserable as humanly possible. it's the only way they can feel better about the aching void in their own lives brought by being too crap to have real friends.

They are the types of PvP players who swarm a PvP game/MMO, gank newbies, chase away everyone 'casual' (a swear/insult to PvPers), never pick a fair fight, and then cry that their PvP game never has enough people to play it.

And the second someone new joins? Camping the newb zone, ganking, insulting, threatening, and then crying when the person leaves, because no one wants to deal with that crap. 😂

So did dead man's switch, both unexpected, both can be broken with certain combinations

Yeah, but expect to see DMS nerfed within a month. But they will 'kep an eye on' Boil Over for at least a year.

    @hiken said:

no talking about dead man switch huh? only boil over a pretty much infensive perk unless you play in idk haddonfield/springwood where survivors can abuse houses a little bit more? and not really?

Literally ANY drop trigger Boil Over. The Killer could step over a pebble, and the perk would say it's a 'drop' and give the Survivor 25% wriggle for free.

Plus the whole 1 second (6.25% wriggle progress) buff to Survivor wriggling in general. that makes it a 31% buff to wriggling free.

But don't worry; I expect DMS to see a nerf within a month. While Boil Over gets 'looked at' for at least a year. 🙃

And I'm not gonna answer you back, if you say 2+2=5 it is your problem, not mine xd, it is a strategy to go to the killers house, break his screen and win aswell.

On the other side, there keep baing comments like "sometimes you call camping and tunneling things they are not". As an experienced player, as I said before, i obviously understand when I get camped with all gens repaired, I dont like it but I can understand, also other more situations that I wont complain because ot is logical to try to get at least one kill, or chek gens or something like that, I still dont liking it but Im not gonna complain. Also you should understand that I DONT NEED ADVICE OR TIPS TO IMPROVE, you wont tell me how the game works because it is probably that I have played this game more than most of the people saying "you are a new player" I AM NOT, I DONT NEED TO LEARN HOW TO LOOP, and that keeps being an stupid argument because knowing how to loop just make your chases longer, not prevents camping or tunneling. Also, if I were a new player, lots and lots of experienced and skilled survs gets tunneled and camped, would you say the same to them?

I also would like to say, for those who where arguing about the "block button" It wont work because of that trolls/salty that would vote to block everyone and those guys could be:

Toxic, in that situation the button works well, players wont be matched up with them

Skiller and good players that beated the guy who blocked them: in this situation the button dont work because those skilled guys wont be playing against anyone and it is not their fault to be so good.

if they create a system where you can see the matches of the reported guys to see why were they reported and vote to validate the report or not, it could work, but still people would report skilled guys and toxic guys aswell

it is a strategy to go to the killers house, break his screen and win aswell.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did you just try to equate slugging, camping, and tunneling; all tactics with accepted applications. To breaking & entering, and destruction of property? 🤦‍♂️

if they create a system where you can see the matches of the reported guys to see why were they reported and vote to validate the report or not

Oh gods no. This salt mine of a player base should have 0 say on if a hacking report is valid or not.

I'll give you a story: Back before TF2 went free2play (and thus free2hack); I was in a pretty popular clan. One of our admins was a god-level player with Sniper. When I first joined the servers, I was CONVINCED he was hacking. His reflexes were at least double any other player's I had seen.

After joining the clan, I learned that they had a 0-tolerance on cheating/racism/bigotry. I also learned that they would take recordings of cheaters in-engine (the HL2 engine or whatever TF2 used could take in-engine recordings) and would then run it and do such things as toggle wireframe to see if a player was aiming at people he could not see.

This clan held twice-monthly CLASSES on how to spot cheaters & the various ways they would try to cover their cheating.

Once I became an admin (a long vetting process in itself), I quickly learned that at least 10 people a day to our servers would report the Sniper for hacking. And every single one was 100% convinced they were right. Even when we pointed out our 0-tolerance stance on cheating, and him being an admin; players were flat-out convinced we were covering for him. Because they believed they knew better than everyone else.

Moral of the story: Your average salty player will see cheaters in anyone better than them. They are not trained to put aside their personal bias and feelings to think 'Is this person REALLY hacking?' They should, in no way, be in charge of deciding who's cheating or not.

Plus; All it takes is a cheater with a bunch of cheating buddies to find their own report and say 'He is not cheating' to game the system. And there are cheating COMMUNITIES out there; forums, webpages; the works.

I learned THAT when cheaters would flood the clan forums and servers (We did most the Valve multiplayer games popular at the time: CS 1.6, TF2, Day Of Defeat: Source, some Prophunt servers, etc.) in an attempt to force us to shut down, as revenge for banning someone from their cheaty little communities, repeatedly. Plus the repeated DDOS attempts.

  • I have yet to be angry. Sarcastic, sure. But it seems every time I call someone out on blatant lies or 'Killers are pure evil and Survivors are innocent angels who do no wrong' BS; someone steps out and says 'Boy! I sure made you angry, huh!?".

Probably so they can pat themselves on the back for 'triggering' me, since I've dismantled their arguments and pointed out how stupid calling accepted tactic 'toxic' is. Or how few arguments against NoED actually hold any water. So they have to 'get' me, or their fragile egos deflate. 😁

  • Because I disagreed with you? Heaven forbid someone disagree with the mentality that Killers trying to win is toxic! 😱

  • @Shirtless_Myers said:

It's toxic and wins games with minimal effort required on the killer's end. Strategy or not, it's cheap and effortless. Throw on NOED to tie the game at the very least.

It'd benefit the game if punished while adjusting the speeds of the survivor objective. Yes, making the killer play the game instead of sitting and staring at a hooked survivor. The horror.

SWF will punish camping easily if they play to win as a team. Solo? They'll need Kindred and teammates who focus generators, which is a rarity. NOED will still tie the game if they're rushing in the current game.

It's toxic and wins games with minimal effort required on the killer's end

So...what? Is the Killer not allowed to win unless they now expect some vague amount of effort, now? 😂 'You won too easily! TOXIC!'

Also; that ignored how Survivors can punish or reward the tactics and just plants all blame directly on Killers while shaming them. Good job on being wrong, AND part of the problem! 👍️

I will bother replying because you have a problem with someone challenging your opinion that you consider to be undeniable truth. It clearly must be something worth reading since you are in fact reading them. Or maybe you're just reading the first 5 words and rushing to that reply button because a survivor main can't possibly be right in the face of your undeniable truths.

I have many matches where the killer does very well, even 4ks and never once camped or tunneled. The fact you keep saying "killers literally can't play any other way" proves you have a bias perspective on this and aren't interested in seeing someone challenge that. Sorry but you are wrong. Killers do not have to play that way. Thats just an easy go to argument you have because you can't accept the fact that killers can have good matches and not play like that.

There are killers in this game that do have too much power. The cenobite can literally do nothing and control the entire map if his box is left alone. If he guards the box, were screwed. The cannibal can instant down with no power build up at the press of a button. I've even seen him down an entire team in under 5 seconds. The shape has to build up to an instant down power. The cannibal has it the entire match. You probably have bad luck getting a lot of SWF teams that sweat it out for the win. Don't let that convince you that survivors have all the power.

Your comments about killer powers are hyperbole and gloss over literally everything to 'prove' your points.

The cenobite can literally do nothing and control the entire map if his box is left alone

So get the box. This is a Survivor mistake.

If he guards the box, were screwed

So do gens? He can't prevent you from doing gens by sitting on the box. But I'm betting you're going to ignore or handwave this fact as 'yes he can because reasons'.

The cannibal can instant down with no power build up at the press of a button.

He has to rev his chainsaw, so it's not instant. Though you're trying to act like he just presses an 'I win' button because your statements are dishonest in how they gloss over facts to fit your narrative.

The cannibal can instant down with no power build up at the press of a button. I've even seen him down an entire team in under 5 seconds.

They made the mistake of staying clumped together. But here you are, trying to pretend he just pressed a button and won. Glossing over other factors for your narrative.

The shape has to build up to an instant down power. The cannibal has it the entire match

And they work completely differently. But you're still trying to compare apples & oranges and gloss over the fact that they are different fruits. Because any facts that don't promote your 'Survivors are powerless' narrative must be ignored and buried where no one can see it.

Don't let that convince you that survivors have all the power.

I never said they have ALL the power. I was just calling out your BS on 'Survivors have no power!' This game is as Survivor-sided as it's ever been. But you're stomping around screaming that Survivors are hapless babies who will quit if they can't have more than what they already have: 16 second chance perks & built-in counters to more than half the Killer roster.

  • The CoH non-nerf clearly meant to throw Killers a bone (It's 25% so it LOOKS big!) without actually nerfing it (Turns out to be +2 seconds healing someone else, and +4 Self-Healing)

  • @KateMain86 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2770436#Comment_2770436

If survivors couldn't do all those things to killers you wouldn't have survivors playing this game. This is your problem. You think survivors have power because they can interact with the killer in a few ways. Think about it. How do you think this game would be if survivors couldn't do those things you listed off? Do you not see how ridiculous your argument is? And yet you categorize this as killers having 0 power and try to call me a liar for saying otherwise. Well I'm not a liar. You disagreeing with me doesn't make me a liar. You get so offended when survivors point out legitimate facts as to why things need to improve for them that you come here and call me a liar trying to discredit my opinion. I wonder if you're the kind of killer that face camps someone for dropping a pallet on you. You're so irrational in your criticism of survivors.

Sure, sure. And I see the personal attack at the end. Must offend you that I picked apart everything you said with a few facts. Have fun crying about how 'powerless' Survivors are while they continue to get perks that give them 200 second chances, a perk that literally forces tunneling to apply pressure (Circle of OP), and then they cry about Killers tunneling and camping because Killers literally can't play any other way.

But yes, I 'must camp' because I countered you with facts. Have a good day. Don't bother replying; your opinion is clearly lies, BS, and personal attacks. Nothing worth reading.

I'm aware of the cloak uncloak. Hence the quotation marks. There is still no cooldown on using his power nor is there a limit to how long he can use it.

But we should take that away too right? Along with lightburn?

So his power does not have cooldown, except for the cloak/uncloak wind-up times that qualify as cooldown. Except they don't for you because you put them in quotes to gloss over this fact?

  • @KateMain86 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2769782#Comment_2769782

I don't have massive queue times. Most of the time I'm in a match in under a minute with only certain times of the day where it may take a couple minutes. Anyway, you're not worth really arguing with if you honestly think killers have "almost 0 power." I mean I don't know what game you're playing but it isn't the same one I am. This kinda goes along the lines of that whole bias perspective so many people have here. To killers though if we pop 2 gens in the first 3 minutes of the match then oh no were soooo overpowered but when survivors get decimated against 1 perk killers then I guess we just suck at the game. By the way, survivors literally have absolutely nothing that is as close to the same power level as what the killers can do. The cannibal for example can press 1 button and down an entire team in 3 seconds if they are all near each other. Tell me what can survivors do that can end a match that fast? Oh thats right, nothing. Don't tell me killers have 0 power. Killers have all the power. Survivors get boon totems and killer mains think its the end of the world. Give me a break.

you're not worth really arguing with if you honestly think killers have "almost 0 power."

And you're not worth arguing with if you think Survivors have no power. But here I go, because I can't let lies stand.

By the way, survivors literally have absolutely nothing that is as close to the same power level as what the killers can do

That's because there's 4 Survivors. The 1 Killer has to match 4 Survivors. That's how it works. No ONE Survivor perk should match ONE Killer, or you'd have FOUR Survivors, each able to 1v1 the Killer. Shocking, I know.

This kinda goes along the lines of that whole bias perspective so many people have here.

Why is it always the most biased people who claim everyone ELSE is biased? Oh right; because they are unable to see any other view point, so they can't comprehend being wrong.

The cannibal for example can press 1 button and down an entire team in 3 seconds if they are all near each other.

That's why you do this thing called 'thinking' and apply 'tactics' to do something called 'Spreading out' so the Bubba can't 'press 1 button and down the entire team'. Wow! Such tactics! Much thinking!

Tell me what can survivors do that can end a match that fast? Oh thats right, nothing.

Rofl. Tell me how many times a single Bubba power use downs all 4 Survivors. Let me guess; you're going to lie and say it happens 'all the time'? Because, if it does happen; Survivors were stupid.

    Killers have all the power.

I'm going to list off a number of Killers whos powers Survivors can hard counter. Note; these are just POWERS that can be countered. So I'm avoiding such things as 'Juke the Nurse' since 'Juke' can apply to any Killer trying to hit you.:

    1. Trapper. Survivors can disarm his traps or literally avoid them.
    2. Wraith. Survivors can lightburn him with: Flashlights, firecrackers, flashbangs, blast mine.
    3. Hag. You can burn away her traps with a flashlight. Or stay alert and avoid them.
    4. Pig. You can remove the RBTs before they ever become a threat.
    5. Plague. Survivors control 50% of her power. If they never Cleanse, she has to use an add-on to get any blood puke. Also, if she never uses a fountain, and Survivors use up every fountain; she is FORCED to go into Blood Puke mode and ALL FOUNTAINS are cleared. Just so Survivors don't stay in 1-hit state. That's right; control of Plagues power goes Survivors first, the game mechanics second, THEN Plague.
    6. Ghostface. Survivors can counter his sneaking & stalking by...looking at him. With a 3rd person, 360-degree-view camera that can reveal him around walls he can't see around.
    7. Demogorgon. Survivors can rip apart his portals.
    8. Pyramid Head. Survivors don't trigger the goop if they don't sprint over it. They can also lose Tormented if they save someone from a Cage.
    9. Twins: Survivors can Kick The Baby.
    10. Nemesis. Survivors can Vaccinate, which means he can't easy damage them with tentacle without giving them a free speed-boost. They can also stun zombies with flashlights & pallets.
    11. Cenobite. Survivors can walk THROUGH his chains to free teammates, and can find The Box to stop chain hunts.

That's just Killers with a BUILT IN counter to their powers. So your 'Boo-hoo! Survivors have no power! Killers are biased!' tripe is proven false right here.

And that's not adding in the power of Survivor perks, of which they have 16 in a match, and they can ALL be second chance perks. Oh yeah; and SWF with voice comms.

So, going to keep lying about how 'powerless' Survivors are? Because the facts are right here.

I don't even main survivor, I just don't run NOED on killer because I'd quite frankly not be carried in end game because I sucked during the rest of it. I;ve always maintained that NOED is the perk exclusively of bad killers. Stream a couple of matches for us and prove me wrong, I'm man enough to admit to my mistakes if I am.

    1. Your view on what NoED does does not mean that's how it works. You can decide 'It helps bad Killers' but to claim Killers are bad for using it is to push your views on others and continue this bullshit fake-rule of '5 gens means Killer lost' that Survivor mains peddle. Stop it.
    2. Like I'm giving this salt mine access to my twitch account just to prove something petty to you.
    3. I'm actually a crap Killer. I only use NoED for the salt, mostly because it never makes it to end-game and I'm down a perk the entire match before Survivors give me death threats for HAVING it, even though it never proc'd. I get MORE death threats if I get even 1 kill with it. Because people follow your stupid 'Rewards bad Killers' mindset and expect everyone to obey their made up bullshit rules.

You can THINK it 'gives unearned kills' as you want, but when you start stating it like fact; you are wrong. Your opinion on NoED is in no way fact. And stating it as a fact just feeds into the bullshit Survivors screech on a daily basis because they hate dying to it.

NoED is fine. Your opinion is not fact. Stop stating it like it is and people won't have to keep slapping this idiocy of 'Rewards bad play!' down on an hourly basis.

If the survivors have popped 5 gens and you are getting downs only with NOED, it is literally giving you a kill you didn't deserve and wouldn't have secured otherwise. You're bad and NOED is the developers way of saying "there there, here's a consolation prize for participating" Its basically the equivalent of the thanks for participating trophy you get when you don't win any real prizes.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2769835#Comment_2769835

If you have given survivors time to cleanse totems AND do 5 gens, you've failed even harder. So you're saying the counter play to NOED is to hope the killer sucks especially hard? And doesn't have Pentimento, of course.

If the survivors have popped 5 gens and you are getting downs only with NOED, it is literally giving you a kill you didn't deserve and wouldn't have secured otherwise.

Bullshit. Nothing says '5 Gens Is The Cutoff To Kill Survivors' except Survivors. This is a flat-out like pushed by scrubs angry they genrushed and died to NoED. Try something not factually false.

Again; made-up lies. The Killer has not lost, or 'almost lost' or 'basically lost' because 5 gens popped. Again; this is a factual lie invented by bad Survivors mad they died to NoED. Try again.

If you have given survivors time to cleanse totems AND do 5 gens, you've failed even harder.

And if they still have not cleansed totems and did 5 gens and I NoED them? They failed harder than I did. Try again. But this time; try to use facts.

Oh wait; there are no facts that promote this 'NoED is OP' tripe Survivors gurgle at each other until the echo chamber makes them think they're right. That's WHY they word-vomit lies non-stop and invent rules like 'If 5 gens popped...!'.

Sorry; you're wrong. Factually wrong. I know it stings, but take this time to learn from your lies and falsehoods.

  • No.

What if he's already chainsawing? Is he forced to stop? This would give Survivors immunity from his power while unhooking and allow them to go for unsafe unhooks because it stops Bubba in his tracks.

    Not a good idea.

  • Of course it did; it was broken in Survivor's favor. I don't know why anyone expected it to actually be balanced.

    Just look at CoH.

I don’t want to argue with you everyday about the same thing. You use noed and think you’re a semigod. I use noed and I think it’s essy mode as hell

Rofl. Where did I ever say I think I'm a 'semigod'? Or are you doing yet more personal attacks because I can prove you wrong in 2 sentences?

And again, i am asking same question.

Killer can find boons so easyly because they are so loud. We are agree this part right? Because while i was playing killer, i had not hard time to find boons. Infinity part was annoying.

And we are nerfing boons, they will be breakable now. So killer can find them so easyly and then killer can destroy it with 2 seconds. And survivor will lose their perks. Who would bring this perks anymore? You are just making them trash tier perks and this is not makes any sense.

So killer can find them so easyly and then killer can destroy it with 2 seconds. And survivor will lose their perks. Who would bring this perks anymore?

That's literally how Hex perks work. They make their own noise (even if it's quieter than Boon totems), glow, and can be seen by Survivors using a 3rd person camera.

So making Boons make noise while they can be perma-removed literally puts them on the same footing as Hexes. So why is it so fair that Survivors can see, and hear, 1-time-use Hexes, but Killers should not be able to hear 1-time-use Boons?

Why do Boons get to be, effectively, invisible to the Killer?

Remember: The Boon is louder BECAUSE the Killer lacks the 360 degree, see-over-anything camera Survivors have. So removing the noise is like saying 'Hex totems should not glow. And should be smaller. And blend in.' Because you're removing the Killer's only cue to find a Boon through a wall, while Survivors can look OVER that wall and see a Hex.

    Edit: typos

Noed is ultra easy mode at egc. Faster moves and 1 hit. I know it, I use it too

Only if Survivors play like potatoes. And don't clear totems beforehand. And don't have second chance perks. And don't find and cleanse it within 30 seconds of popping. And don't just leave instead of trying to save their 1 friend you caught.

But sure; 'ultra easy mode' 🙄

I don't like CoH and it was one of the reasons i stopped play but you are just overreacting. They needs nerfs but you want to put them on useless perks category.

Boons will be loud, killer will get warning when someone bless totem and killer will destroy them with 2 seconds forever. Nobody would use this perks. Your opinion is just not makes any sense to me, sorry.

Oh boy! The Killer would get a thunderclap telling him a Boon is lit.

But without the SOUND OF THE BOON; He does not know WHERE. And he has to waste more time hunting it while 4 Survivors do gens.

You are not understanding WHY Boons make noise, and I've said it twice now: Because Killers don't have a 3rd person, 360 degress view camera that can look around corners and over walls.

Survivors can see a boom while walking AWAY from it. Or over low walls. Or around rocks. hence why Hexes are quieter.

Killers can only see a boon if they are in front of it and nothing blocks it. Hence why Boons are loud.

This is not hard to understand. Boon Sound makes up for Killers crappy camera. You remove that and boons are all but invisible to Killers.

  • @Harold_Shipman said:

They are both terrible, but for different reasons. One gives bad killers pity kills, rewards bad play and is basically fundamentally flawed in terms of design.

The other is just too powerful in terms of numbers (the numbers being either the speed, the range or the amount of uses/times it can be relit)

COH could be a great perk with some tweaks. NOED needs redesigning from the ground up

    TF is a 'pity Kill'?

Oh right; as per Survivor Rulebook: Any kill after 5 gens pop is not allowed. The Killer has lost, and any perks against this rule are OP and reward the Killer for losing with kills. Survivors shall henceforth call them 'pity kills' in order to shame Killers into doing what we want so we can win easier.

    🤮

If they keep them loud, breakable effect will never add to boons buddy. This is how to works. Imagine you have boon totems. It is loud and killer is destroying it forever with 2 seconds. Who would bring boons anymore?

But BHVR should add Small Game totem find effect to killer's base-kit if they do this changes. So killer can check when they got warning.

Asking to remove the noise is like saying Boons should be invisible towards Survivors, buddy.

Killers don't have the view, or the time, to hunt for a stealth boon. While Survivors can see a Hex totem glowing from halfway across a map.

The sound offsets the Killer's lack of a 360 degree camera, so it can't be removed. Sorry. Removing it would make boons stupidly OP, regardless of any nerfs added..

  • @CrashMADDS13 said:

Because wraith has an easy to use, unlimited no "charge", no "cooldown" speed stealth combo.

Although he's awful in high MMR and outright countered by coh, lightburn is a mechanic that keeps his easy power in check.

    No charge

He has to cloak, which takes time

    No cooldown.

He has to cloak, then uncloak, both of which have charge bars, before he can even get the attack speed buff.

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

If killer can destroy boons forever, then boons will need buffs.

First: CoH will be 100% heal speed again.

Second: Boons will not be loud anymore, they will be quiet like hex totems.

    Third: Range should be larger.

And i am okey with this change. And killer should destroy totem itself. So with this way, killer will have chance to use Pentimento

Second: Boons will not be loud anymore, they will be quiet like hex totems.

No. The reason Boons are loud is because Killers don't have a 3rd person, 360 degree camera that can look around corners at all times. The sound is to offset the tiny view Killers have.

  • @KateMain86 said:

No I'm pretty sure you're wrong OP. Its not the killers who are struggling in this game, its the survivors by a long shot. I just had a 2 perk (both level 1) Oni 4k a full loadout team (4 perks plus items and boon totems). I have 1900 hours played in this game. I'm sorry but killers should not have as much power as they do in this game. They simply shouldn't. The amount of time it takes us to recover from the killer's attacks is ridiculous. Meanwhile the only thing killers have to recover from is missed attacks and the occasional pallet and blind. Its just not fair and the fun factor drops super fast when I get a match like this. And don't even think about telling me to "play better." Its a team game for survivors and after 1900 hours I'm not going to get any better than I currently am. If the game stays this difficult for survivors I have a feeling a lot more people are going to feel the same way.

Rofl. Pull my other leg. This mindset is why Survivor queue times are massive; Killers have almost 0 power and Survivors want to take what little remains.

Killer Powers are mostly controlled by Survivors.

    Killer perks have Survivor input.

Survivors have multiple second chance perks.

Survivors get +50 perks when using SWF on voice comms.

Survivors have Circle of OP, negating any pressure if the Killer does not tunnel. But Survivors also whine and snivel and cry about how tunneling should be punished.

Survivors can pop gens in under 5 minutes.

But sure 'Poor Survivors have no power. Boo hoo. 😫'

  • @EvilJoshy said:

While I don't think noed even comes close to how powerful CoH is, I would gladly sacrifice NOED to remove CoH.

I would not want to get rid of a useful, balanced perk (NoED) to remove an OP pile of never-should-exist (CoH). Mostly because the devs would just add another broken Survivor perk and Killers would get nothing.

  • NoED is fine. It can be prevented from ever activating, and turned off permanently after it does activate. The Killer is Running 3 perks for the majority of the match.

CoH is OP. It can be reapplied no matter how often the Killer snuffs it. It removes all pressure and forces the Killer to tunnel. All 4 Survivors can bring it. It can never be removed permanently.

Oh yeah; they're totally the same. 🙄 NoED is fine, CoH is OP. Sorry, but thems facts.

When you understand one thing. If the killer is setting up camp. THEN HE LOSES TIME. FOR WHICH YOUR TEAMMATES SHOULD START GENERATORS. AND IN THIS HE DOES YOU A FAVOR. ISN'T THIS A TEAM GAME?

It's a team solo game. SWF and voice comms ruined it, but you're supposed to have to weigh every risk of helping a stranger; will they help you back? Will they leave you to die? Will you both die?

SWF ruined it, because it was never meant to 100% be 4V1. It was supposed to be 1/1/1/1V1. Sure, You COULD help your teammates, but you only win if YOU escape.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2756825#Comment_2756825

I think this isn't the same thing OP is referring to. Most of the time when this happens to me, it's not about pressure or the killer but maybe I see a totem I want to break or a teammate runs up and needs healing and the "instant" I commit to letting go, the skill check sound (and following explosion) simultaneously go off with no chance for me to hit the skill check.

And some people may ask "well how often does that happen" and to that I will say literally almost every game (between 90-95% of my games)

And some people may ask "well how often does that happen" and to that I will say literally almost every game (between 90-95% of my games)

And that's what makes me so sure it's purposefully weighted to explode if you leave a gen except soon after a skillcheck; if it was random, it would not happen as much as it does.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/306190/best-bubba-facecamp-perks

Best bubba facecamp perks? I run, deadlock, gives me x4 30 sec gen blocks corrupt intervention, helps me keep some survs off gens No escape, extra time Noed, speed boost for chainsaw and insta down Any ideas how I can improve? When i get a down, i camp till sacrifice.

This is honestly how many many players run Bubba. This is what's broken. Yesterday I had a game where I played Bubba and I had 2 survivors in the basement because they played badly. Now I have a choice, do I camp there deaths, which is the right play and extremely boring and the survivors have no chance of succeeding or do I leave and let the game continue. I chose to allow that match to continue because it is boring as sin waiting for 2 survivors to die in the basement. With this change I wouldn't have to play badly to allow a match to continue, a group of coordinated survivors would have a chance to get them out of the basement. That's all that I want, I want there to be choices, because a game without choices is no game at all.

Making him clunky to play and giving Survivors a hook-zone safe area does not fix him.

If players want to facecamp; they will. It's the nature of the game. Making a Killer suck is not fixing it.

  • @konchok said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2768472#Comment_2768472

Lot's of killers have killer powers that don't work near hooked survivors.

I can only think of Hag, Trapper, and Demogorg. Mostly because it would allow them to camp while pressuring gens. Not simply because it allows them to camp.

Bubba can't pressure gens while camping. Thus, his power is not gimped near the hook.

  • Killers are balanced based on SoloQ.

    SoloQ gets buffs.

Killers: So we will get buffed as well? Since we were basically built to SoloQ power so the game was not unplayable for them.

Survivors: Why would Killers get a buff? 🙃

Never change, DBD forums. Never change.

Just M1, nothings preventing him from using the gold ol' hit um with a mallet.

Again; Survivors should not get partial or full immunity to a Killer power by running to a hooked Survivor.

  • Blight is fine. People need to stop demanding nerfs just because they hate losing.

  • @Tr1nity said:

Until your on a chase with a bubba and run to the hooked survivor for an easy escape.

    This.

Hooked Survivors can't be immunity or reduction of Killer powers, or Survivors would run there to abuse it.

  • Good luck trying to 12 hook with 5 minute gen speeds and the Survivors whopping 16 second-chance perks.
