Few Killers have as much control over the match as Pyramid Head does.
Inflicting torment on someone and caging them negates any and all hook related perks, stops things like pallet or flashlight saves, and they cannot wiggle free or unhook themselves. Tormented Survivors also leave a trail of rusty barbed wire making them easier to follow. Tormenting Survivors is also easy because you can simply leave a brief trail at any loop, forcing them to leave or be inflicted. And of course, you get to personally execute Survivors who are tormented while on death hook.
His M2 is difficult to hit, but its mere presence is enough to fill Survivors with doubt and make mistakes, granting you free hits when you simply drag your knife for a second or two. His M2 can guarantee hits however at things like window vaults and Survivors dropping pallets, along with tight corridors and even snipe Survivors unhooking each other or snipe them with aura reading perks.
Wesker however is much more mobile, can vault pallets and windows, and his infection inflicts hindered with makes Survivors much easier to catch. He has a much easier time catching up to Survivors and landing easy hits at certain loops.
He also has a larger than average terror radius which can be used with things like Distressing and Starstruck, which can easily confuse Survivors.
Of the two I would say Pyramid Head is easily stronger, but both are extremely good and frankly you couldn't go wrong with picking either.
I'll push back on this. Tormenting survivors is very hard.
Cause they will go to insane lenghts to avoid the thing on the ground.
Which on the other hand makes them easier to hit.

Well, you said it, she only feeds and protects them and nothing more
She may be smart in hunting, but her intelligence disappears when it comes to kids
If she wanted to be a mother, she would have taught them the basics of life, not tied them up and fed them like animals
and you pointed out why this part is her lore is ilogical. congrats

I think the voice-acting is already overdone, I would like less of it. The tie-in characters are one thing, Wesker and Resident Evil characters talking is understandable because we're all familiar with them having voices. Nic Cage is another thing because it's Nic Cage. But I hate Trickster's babbling, and I don't understand why the Lyra siblings and Gabriel have voice-acting, it just stands out as odd when no other DbD original survivors have it.
I like it. the lines are great, and in portuguese which is a huge plus for me.

Well, there is a difference between feeding a baby and taking care of a baby
The first is that you only feed him and put some dolls for him and do not care about their psychological condition, hygiene or diseases.
Secondly, it is that you change their clothes, teach them to hunt and skin, cook for them, take care of them, listen to their problems, protect them, and so on
Raising and caring is a skill, not intelligence
And if according to your logic, mammals, including cats, would not have been able to take care of kittens and teach them life
The Huntress has never tried to be a mother and does not know the basics of education. She only kidnaps children because they remind her of herself when she was young.
what baby? she kidnaps kids.
and you think she lacks that skill because? she fully understands what is required for survival. and she isn't stupid, so she should understand that tieing a kid somewhere without food would kill them.
according to what logic exactly? when did I say you need to be smart to raise a kid? hell, what you said is a point against her not being able to do it.
she kidnaps children... but she isn't trying to be a mother? wanna try this again? cause I'm pretty sure she's trying to protect the girls like her mother did to her.
what do you mean by education exactly? like seriously, what education?

Again, what do you understand by "no food or source of warmth", as not everybody has the same levels of adaptability. Hell, there's people in their houses fighting over the air conditioner being too low or high by a couple of degrees difference and you are here questioning that one person could survive in extreme temperatures with a bonfire and a bowl of squirrel soup and another wouldn't.
So keep repeating the contrary to yourself if it makes you happy, but it makes perfect sense.
About the harpoons, an infection would kill someone in days, and there wouldn't be any blood loss as long as the harpoon is still stuck in the guy. It's just like arrows, in the sense that if the arrow doesn't hit a vital area it's not being hit by the arrow itself what kills you, but removing the arrow in a way that it would cause irremediable damage and of course, blood loss as now there is nothing in the wound preventing air for coming in and making the blood flood out. And people survived those even longer ago than the time The Deathslinger lived in, with even less medical knowledge and more rudimentary tools.
And you are saying it yourself, it is not a perfect strategy, the weapon could be lethal if used incorrectly and that's written in his lore. That's why the Deathslinger lore is believable and well written and Skull Merchant is not, because again, he wasn't a perfect man that came up with an idea for a weapon without having the knowledge to do it in the first place and it worked perfectly at the first try.
And yes, you are totally right, they make sense if you suspend your disbelief because that is how any fictional story works, and they makes you able to suspend your disbelief because the story is presented in a way that result logical in the setup it occurs. And again, this happens with any fictional story.
If you tell me that a guy can fly and shoot lasers through it's eyes because he is an alien that absorb radiation that give him powers, I believe it. If you tell me that in a world were demons exist there are people that is able to create fire from his sword and move at high speeds just by using a breathing technique, I believe it. If you tell me there is an Entity that traps killers and survivors in a pocket dimension called The Fog and makes them participate in trials for an unknown reason, I believe it.
If you tell me that there is a person who only characteristic are being cool and perfect in everything and that's why she is able to do anything she wants without any consequence or drawback, including getting rich by making a web about Brazilian manga and teaching herself economics in a library to triple the apparently sheer amount of money she got from the Google Adsense of the page I don't believe it because it doesn't sound real by any world standard. Even less so if you slap in there all the over the top things like "Predator wanna-be because his father was a mangaka". It doesn't makes any sense and is not realistic in any way, in addition of making her character one dimensional and not relatable as she is "perfect and good at everything" and that's about it.
So, again, bad writing, over the top setup, nonsensical development of events, unbelievable one dimensional "perfect and cool" character. That's her lore.
the lore implies huntress doesn't understand how to take care of the girls so they always die.
by her lore, she should know it very well. Anna is both smart and capable, and should be fully capable of caring for a child.
not gonna repeat myself again on this. it's like expecting a writer to not recognize the letter a.
caleb has 1 harpoon. he needs it back after it's used. people are now dead from the 2 inch sized hole through them. if they somehow survived the impact.
arrows are way smaller in comparison. imagine someone passed a spear through you, do you think it compares to an arrow that stopped maybe an inch or 2 deep? which is enough to still kill you btw.
let me put it this way. if the redeemer existed, it would have a nearly 100%kill rate on a hit. it not killing someone, is just the plot bending reality a bit for the character to exist in the game as he does. specially as often as the story implies it happened.
also the kickback on that thing would be ridiculous. like firing a mini cannon by hand. you are not putting that thing against your shoulder to properly aim.
but we suspend our disbelief on that, because that is what we do with stories.
I don't believe it because it doesn't sound real by any world standard.
but the eye laser shooting guy sounds real? this is just bad logic. sorry.
you are choosing to accept the character you like and not the one you dislike.
her story is saying she is that smart and capable, and showing that she is because she did what she did and got away with murder. but you say she isn't allowed those characteristics because it's not realistic.... but I guess the guy breathing in a way that his sword catches on fire is realistic?
that's just double standards. "it's fine for this thing to work in ways that aren't realistic for me, but not this one."
-
it is usually the best play. since the time you needed borrowed time for it.
it's there so if you choose to run, you have a few seconds of a grace period. and I'll usually ignore the one that was unhooked.
but if you force the hit on you, you should be ready to be chased. or for the killer to count to 10.

The most annoying part about that voiceline is that it will play when you're downed at the beginning of match. It should not play that early in a match.
I like to think that wesker always tries to leave in 7 minutes, but the entity is like "blondie, do your job".

No unless they have option to mute them because the voice lines get old pretty quick.

it depends on the character honestly...
like, it would be nice if kate sang a song in the lobby for instance. it would even be lore accurate... maybe hum it like huntress.
or if freddy talked, in general.
but I'm fine with most just being mute besides the grunts of pain and stuff. and expect it from others.

Here's a valid argument against it:
Kindred gives an aura reading of the killer. That's 100% accurate picture perfect information. Exactly where the killer is, exactly which direction he's facing, exactly which direction he's going, and exactly what action he's taking if there's an animation with it.
Even in an SWF, that 100% accurate information is not easy to relay to your team. "He's over by the tractor!" Okay, which side of it? Which end of it is he heading towards? Is he locked in an animation? If the killer has broken line of sight, then the person on hook wouldn't be able to tell you EXACTLY where other than he is simply nearby. An aura read gives ALL of that information. In essence, basekit Kindred would actually provide much more information than if it was simply SWF comms.
the killer left me and is going to main. checked a locker. passing tractor clockwise.
I don't even disagree that giving the killer aura for free is too much, but it's easy information to give on a mic.

At the very least, it can be assumed that the entity preserved Victor's body until the appropriate time, or that his sister did not accept his decomposing form and assumed his body was intact.
And I chose Skull Merchant because her story is about dreams and her father's manga
And somehow she gets away with her crimes quite easily, and no one suspects that woman who always takes these companies after losing important employees.
Where the wind seems to be blowing in her favor in her ship
I remember her lore being in third person and not from her pov. but she seeing victor as fine when he might have been rotting is a nice headcanon. I like it. more than the entity keeping him intact, that is just weird.
the wind just favours some people some time. like, how the actual hell was clown never caught? he was so bad at not leaving evidence behind, yet... he always escaped to do it again.
unlike ghostface, who was very meticulous so it makes sense.

Was a SWF, they were very coordinated and I have played enough to tell the difference. I just went in a corner and slapped a tree. I know it wasn’t the best thing to do but I was frustrated and tired.
I know it’s probably just a skill issue but I work full time and don’t have the time to get really good. It just makes me kinda sad that I can’t play casually anymore if I want more than a possible 1k.
understandable. maybe consider taking a break? I heard tcm is still very chill and casual.
it could just be a matchmaking issue. and even then, not a skill issue. You are not required to be an expert in a game to want a fun match where you can win with your current abilities.

I don't know what you understand for "survival", but she being able to survive living extreme temperatures and low food conditions doesn't means that anybody could survive in them, even less a child. Also, again, she is more an animal than anything and the only thing she knows about is living in the wild and hunt, so as she lived that way when she was a child she thinks that any child would be able to survive in those conditions like her did.
So, again, it makes sense.
And about The Deathslinger, obviously you didn't read his story well:
Use ingenuity to bring outlaws in alive.
Caleb returned to his workshop, and with a few modifications emerged with something new — the speargun. The first trial occurred when a thief robbed a Chinese laundry. Seizing on the opportunity, Caleb unleashed his prototype. Metal joints screeched as the spike shot forward, gouging into the target's abdomen. But as the spear tugged, it caught the thief's intestines, and, with an ungodly sound, yanked them onto the dusty road. After several iterations, the disembowelments dwindled, but Caleb had already earned his new nickname: The Deathslinger.
In other words, he needed multiple tries to make it non-lethal. And yes, it can be a non-lethal weapon depending on where you shot people with it. You won't kill somebody if you shoot them in an arm or a leg, or even in the abdomen if it just go through as there isn't any vital organs or arteries in the area, so just like a bullet or a knife there you have more probabilities to die from an infection than the wound or the blood loss. So again, it makes sense and it's not illogical at all.
In conclusion: I'm not saying The Skull Merchant lore is the only that doesn't makes sense (even tho, what I'm really saying is that not only it doesn't makes sense, but also is just over the top bad writing). But the two examples that you gave makes perfect sense and are well argued in their respective lores.
That, and if you're going to get shoot or stabbed, try to get it in the abdomen.
I don't know what you understand for "survival", but she being able to survive living extreme temperatures and low food conditions doesn't means that anybody could survive in them, even less a child.
I don't know what you understand for survival, but she survived. as a child herself. she isn't stupid and her tome shows she is actually quite smart.
it makes no sense for her to just leave the girls with no food or source of warmth. it never did, it never will.
In other words, he needed multiple tries to make it non-lethal. And yes, it can be a non-lethal weapon depending on where you shot people with it. So again, it makes sense and it's not illogical at all.
I never said the gun was always non-lethal. I am saying it still should be. cause bloodloss, infection and several other issues still apply. specially for the time the story happens. the harpoon is thick as ######### and hits very hard.
even ignoring it hitting anything but muscle or fat, you dead. also, caleb doesn't aim for arms or legs according to the fact that he kept killing people trying it out. and those are easily missable specially on a moving target. torso hits are what he goes for.
also "even in the abdomen if it just go through as there isn't any vital organs or arteries in the area"
wanna try that again? the harpoons literally exits on the other side of people and has goddamn hooks in it..
hit the spine? most likely dead on impact
intestines? if you don't die from the internal bleeding the infections will finish the job. or from the intestines being pulled out along with the harpoon.
In conclusion: I'm not saying The Skull Merchant lore is the only that doesn't makes sense (even tho, what I'm really saying is that not only it doesn't makes sense, but also is just over the top bad writing). But the two examples that you gave makes perfect sense and are well argued in their respective lores.
they only make sense if you suspend your disbelief.
the lores just say it is how it is.
-
they still are all kind of viable, assuming you do not find the best players around a lot.
how did the game end? got some sacrifices? some head pops?
and just to point it out, I'll bodyblock mid chase as a solo survivor. sometimes it happens on a particularly dire moment for the other survivor. it's not necessarily an indicative of a swf.

Well, first of all, your second example is an "gameplay mechanic", nothing to do with "lore". Obviously, game mechanics don't need to have "realistic standards", or you should be dead the moment the killer cut you with his machete.
The other one about The Huntress is not illogical at all, and if you read her story, you would see it gives you plenty of reasoning for that to happen:
- She has being living alone in the forest since she was a child. For this reason, she is more an animal than a human and knows little more about life than hunt and survive. Much less, the needs of a child.
- She herself and her mother lived through extreme conditions, being the only reason of her death that they were trying to hunt an elk so they didn't starve to death. In fact, "Living in such an extremely remote and dangerous area required skill and resilience".
The girls she kidnapped "wasted away and die of cold or starvation or sickness", so we can deduce that they died mainly because of the extreme conditions The Huntress is used to live in, but not the girls, and as she doesn't know another way to live she is not capable to realize that a child needs to stay warm, stay fed, and not exposed to the winter. So, this is not illogical at all.
Yet again, without it being a masterpiece, The Huntress story is good and well written and presents you with a well thought argument and a good representation of the flawed character The Huntress is. The Skull Merchant, in the other hand, is a bad written story whose author dedicated to write a bunch of over the top things that thought sounded cool without ever asking itself "How", "Why" or "Would it makes sense".
All her story and character can be summed up to "She is perfect and good at everything, that's why she got rich by making a web about "Brazilian manga" and was able to kill a lot of people to steal their companies without problems or consequences, because she is cool and flawless and everything she does is pure perfection. Oh, and his father was a mangaka that disappeared so that's why she is a Predator wanna-be". That's it. That's her whole story and character there. It's boring, it's over the top, and doesn't makes any sense.
And no, this has nothing to do with just hating her for in-game reasons as this was a fact since the moment her story was announced.
it's in the lore. he changed the gun to not kill people. and it makes no sense how anyone survives it regardless. specially for the time the story takes place.
The other one about The Huntress is not illogical at all, and if you read her story, you would see it gives you plenty of reasoning for that to happen:
She has being living alone in the forest since she was a child. For this reason, she is more an animal than a human and knows little more about life than hunt and survive. Much less, the needs of a child.

So, this is not illogical at all.
anna is a master survivalist. she understand how to survive and what is required to do so. she was also a kid in the jungle (maybe jungle isn't the correct word... but the place she grew up in).
it makes no sense that she would not know that she needs to feed or keep her girls warm. them dieing of some sickness is the only justified thing, but even then, anna would have to know how to fight diseases on some level. cause again, she survived while, in theory, also dealing with those for years.
people aren't stupid just cause they grow up in the woods.
wanna dislike adriana's lore? do it. but pretending it's the only one that doesn't make sense or is illogical is silly
-

Well, you're comparing two people in two very different eras
The first invents weapons and offers them for sale, while the other invents a weapon with a distinctive design that might expose them
The first fights for revenge, but faces the consequences of it, and the other in dreams kills without any consequences whatsoever
no I'm not.
I'm picking 2 extra things and putting them into this box labelled "illogical" you put adriana's lore in. and questioning why you wanna talk about just your thing instead of the entire box. or even aknowledge that the box has more than one thing.
lots of things in dbd lore are illogical and make no sense if you think too hard about it. like victor being dead but his body staying perfectly fine for years.

Ok so would it still be toxic if he was constantly told that he maybe should use the chainsaw more in chase because otherwise he is only playing M1 Billy? I don't think it changes the message overall. If you get called a Milly that is mostly because you don't use the killers power, is it toxic to get called out on it? No why would it be? Would be the same thing if you called it toxic if someone hides the entire game in bushes to call them a blendette, which isn't toxic either.
how you deliver the message is potentially what makes it toxic.
calling people names is toxic behaviour. even if you individually don't mean it that way, doesn't mean other people using the same word aren't.

No offense my man but how is dealing with shittalking children on the Internet harder than learning the hardest killer in the game? XD
I wouldn't even necessarily call it toxicity, it is more some sort of shaming for, in their mind missing skill I playing the killer, and shaming is a form of social control to get rid of some forms of behavior seen as unhealthy or unwanted. Generally speaking shaming is a good thing in the sense that it has a big impact on prevention of anti social behavior, and in criminology it is sometimes used to explain why certain neighborhoods stay saver than others.
So in summon the shaming people as Milly's might lead more often than not, at least that's what some criminological studies on different subjects, but also unwanted behavior, show us, to people not continuing to do said behavior.
"I wouldn't even necessarily call it toxicity,"
*proceeds to describe toxicity and toxic behaviour...
the quality of being very harmful or unpleasant in a pervasive or insidious way
Toxic behavior definition refers to a person whose behavior and ongoing actions cause harm to other people by physical or mental means. These are the people who spread negative or toxic stress or traumas on others behavior.
ok then...

The Nun, Annabelle?
Jeepers Creepers would be cool.
Terrifer is cool but much like IT, there is already a clown in game.
I'd be all for Tucker and Dale vs Evil as survivors!
apparently in the book you get his pov sometimes and he just does not understand what is going on and wonders if he is being a bad dog based on how people react to him.
and in the movie, you NEVER see the lady actually hit cujo. they edited so it was just implied. because they realized, rabies or not, no one wants to see a dog get beat up. (and john wick is here to prove that we accept mass murder as the expected course of action after someone kills a dog)

I'd rather see any of the following:
Candyman
Cujo (killer dog would be interesting)
The Thing - with an ability to mimic survivors or possess them and R.J. MacReady as the survivor
Fright Night
Phantasm - hunting people with Angus Scrimm and that orb!
Trick 'r Treat - Sam's creepy little self
Child's Play - Cause Chucky is iconic
Pumpkinhead - For the look and the vines.
The Fly - Goldblum
Puppet Master - So many cool things that could be done with the puppets.
The Howling or An American Werewolf in Paris - Having a full moon effect and werewolf would be fun.
And my personal favorite
John Carpenter's Vampires - Sure Vampires.. neat... but it's more about the survivor, JAMES WOODS baby!!!
Also could go with Lost Boys and have David and Michael.
I refuse to throw a pallet at a dog.

Is that the asian guy I keep hearing about that says clown is A tier?
And has the games to back it up?

I don't know about you, but I've never felt the need to run Kindred after the HUD icons came out.
They give me more than enough contextual information to judge whether or not I need to make the save. The only thing lacking is whether or not the killer is camping, and the killers aura would definitely be too much information for basekit.
At best they should give a HUD indication of when the killer is within 16m, which will hopefully come with the anti-camping measures.
that's when we do the international "the killer is close" signal. and have the survivor on hook keep starting and stoping the ymca dance.

Thrilling Thremors seems interesting on her. Oppresion might be interesting on her as well.
Btw, I can't use No Way Out because me Trapper needs it more than her.
I could use Machine Learning and Deadlock on Hag to replace Corrupt Intervention, although I might not got a lot of value from Machine Learning since Hag does not like kicking gens.
here is what you do for hag, you play make your choice, and you teleport in after a hook save to get value from it.
get the egg addon and either mint rag or rusty shackles. (rusty shackles is probably the best one for this specifically)
every other perk can be filler.
obviously works better on basement but doesn't require it. you can slap devour on it for a bit of extra fun since the point is to get away from the hook for myc. (which will counter someone that rushes in for the save to avoid myc. eventually)
also gets you to save the better perks.
if people realise your plan, the plan still works, it's not like they won't get the save.
they can crouch going in, but you get back before they leave if they crouch going out.
and if they actually don't get the save, 3v1 baby!
I know this from experience, myc hag was insane... granted this was before they could erase the traps by hand. not sure how effective it is now.
but honestly, hag is amazing even without perks. you can slap any leftover perks on her.
-
weird flex but ok...
-
"okay, Corrupt Intervention on Trapper and Hag might be an exception"
you coward! You wanna not repeat perks? then go for it with passion in your heart and do it properly!!!
or not... it's just for fun after all, I imagine.
what perks are avaiable to be chosen for her?
her drones give information well enough (i think), so you may wanna get chase perks or something for late game like noed or no way out instead of an information perk.

Sadly....
Most of my games go this way and I have to camp.... (I main pig...)
I'm sorry about that.
would it improve in any way if we nerfed pig again?

Nurse and Huntress definitely improved over the last couple of years on PS4 and are absolutely playable now. Pinhead's chain is now the worst killer power to controll, I guess.
But while huntress is fun to play, allthough she suffers from the same issue as all long range killers (no separate adjustment bar for aiming sensitivitiy), nurse's gameplay is without any depths. You blink, you hit (something). This is so straightforward that I don't even feel the thrill of the hunt. Normally I know if I hit or not (except for some weird moments when you clearly hit a survivor in front of you and you still miss) or if I reach him before he gets to the vault/pallet. This is the actual fun of the game (not the 4k or the 5gen), when you know you caused the other player to make a mistake. When you still hit him without much thinking thats lame and yeah I did a couple of hits where I was sure that this wouldn't work. That's the same kind of unfun gameplay as pallet stuns 2 meters away from the pallet. So if there is no auto aim (as it looks to me) there must be some very bad hitbox issues with the nurse.
Yeah sorry, quick typing between two matches. I meant the whole match felt shallow, flat, without any hights and depths.
pinhead's chain? have you tried trickster lately? he will forever hold that crown

You see spirits? those still exist?

The thing with limiting family sharing is BS. So now me and the BF have to decide which crap to rebuy.
They are reverting fast vaults.
I'm done with this game for a while.
you know that is a steam thing... right? not bhvr?

then better camp to not be rude :)

recently I had a pig chase me while I had an active trap. while crouched so my timer would count down. she wanted the head pops from her addons.
so I did a box in her face and got it off. I then pointed at her face and she stabbed me. great stuff.
at one point she had everyone but me and 1 guy down. I had a second active trap and everyone was downed around the last 2 boxes, so when I managed to get it off she saw me and chased me for seath hook. and I managed to run her until everyone but me was fully healed, and then they bodyblocked for me to escape from her shoulder.
which only delayed the inevitable for a bit, there was nothing else to use around there anymore. but it was great. bill went down finishing the last gen for the team and feng (like 90% sure it was feng) got a hatch escape right on her face.
this game is fun man.
also, yesterday during a ghostface match I was chasing someone around main building on the singularity map. they ran inside and I was like "I should probably drop this chase and find someone in a worse place, this might take a while" I then heard a vault noise, turn around, and they drop right in front of me.
as they say... we take those

Ok...
With what killer do you defend that?
Needs to be some kind of strong chaser.
And the Gens must be close.
if people spawned and started working on whatever gen is closer to them. they likely 3 genned themselves. it's just how it usually works out since survivors tend to spawn away from the killer. the 3 gens closer to the killer at spawn are likely untouched.
and I think every killer can defend a 3 gen. some better than others, but certainly doable for all. specially since you got a hooked person, now is the time when survivors start making mistakes.
but if you do get the 90ish sec 3 gen pop. AND they are spread out. in that case, you might need to camp.
or hope the next chases are pretty fast.
-
real reason? you think I have a fake one?
the game is fun. until I get burnout and take a break.

I also get you. Camping is boring. However, it is sometimes VERY necessary to counter efficiency of survivors.
3 survivors on 3 different gens at the beginning of the match. Chase takes around 80-90 seconds (very realistic with mft and problematic maps). The killer WILL lose 3 gens for one down. I'm sorry but if you are not a strong chasing killer, you need to camp at that point or you lose.
This happens often. I didn't even count in toolboxes or deja vu.
I generally dislike making perks basekit. Now that bt got added to the basekit everyone asks for : can me make this basekit?
The game loved for 6 years without basekit bt or basekit kindred.
I would love to have basekit lethal pursuer or basekit corrupt intervention. But I say no to that.
at that point you still do not need to camp.
you still have 4 gens left untouched and can win by defending it well enough.
unless you also consider that camping, which fair enough.
also, in my experience... rarely will people spawn and go do the gen right next to them right away. takes a bit of time for some reason... or people spawn together so they do the 1 gen together.
