Okay so my next question is what is a meta perk?
I have been playing for less than a month and I haven't learned all the lingo yet.
Meta is an anagram for Most Effective Tactic Avaiable, or something like that...
Basically, it means using the tools that get you the best chance of victory.

What else do you need?

I used to play against her and never cleansed, but the game got so boring that I now cleanse always. That way she gets her power and the game feels more intense. Also I do not like my character constantly puking and barfing - it's annoying.
It is kinda gross

i like how everyone wants to, but nobody wants to be the first to do it..
why straw poll? why not discuss pros/cons?
personally i ALWAYS cleanse. i want plague to have red vomit and here's why:
with green vomit, she runs around infecting everything and everybody. the things become stinky and gross and will infect anything that comes in contact with whatever is infected.
if it's a person, they become broken and lose the ability to take a hit from the killer, making them completely useless. when they are downed and hung, they hang there infected, and i have to go rescue them, getting myself infected (stinky, noisy, visually easier to see, soon to be 1-hit down), and they are broken so i can't even get any altruism from them.. altruism (healing others) is 25% of my score.. without that i have to max all 3 other categories just to get a 75% score..
when people cleanse and give the plague red vomit, sure she has ranged attacks but you have to get hit twice. i'm not sure why people try to constantly run away from a killer with ranged attacks, but they do.. if they would invest a little time instead in learning the size of the object you need to loop around for her to not be able to hit them with the vomit when she tries, she would run out of red vomit before being able to down them..
when they do get downed by red vomit and they get hooked, after unhooking them i get to get altruism, and so do other teammates that are smart enough to come "get it while the getting is good..". i also don't automatically get infected, so after healing, the newly formed "group" of people who can all take 2 hits if needed can then work together on getting things done instead of having to focus so hard on hiding because they're broken.
remember if survivors are as good as they think they are, 8 hooks can take place in a match before anyone ever dies.. who cares if you get downed and put on a hook? the game is not a 1v1 game, even tho a lot of people like to pretend it is, which is why people are usually dead by the time a killer has 1-3 hooks in a game instead of closer to 8..
I did say to people to elaborate if they felt like it.
The strawpoll is so no one can go "i think most agree that X". We can get the numbers, so why not? :)

If you mean lore-wise, I would guess it's just a coincidence. As CthuluSE hinted above, arguably Huntress is ambidextrous.
If you mean in terms of the game itself, I'm guessing it's because it saves the devs a lot of work without affecting the quality of the game in any way. A left-handed killer would mean they couldn't reuse any of the animations currently in the game which depend on the killer's M1 using their right hand (which is more than you think, probably) and would have to create new ones. This would mean less time spent on other things that might improve the chapter like the quality of the new animations.
I wanna say that simply mirroring the animation can't be that hard... but I don't actually know if it is or not.
But...does anyone know any movie killer thats left handed?

That would be nice...

I would be fine with Keys being removed entirely if Moris get removed too.
Both are just a lame "end the game early" button.
Just ebony.
Cypress and the green one are ok

To be honest this cap makes no sense whatsoever. It's just typical BHVR logic at this point.
The cap is there because people were hacking to give themselves all the bloodpoints.
Blame the community on this one

Well...I made mine

If a survivor plays stupid, emphasis on stupid, and jumps in a locker then leave them in the locker. They're not doing gens. If you really want them that badly then wait them out. No different than waiting for it to wear off if you slug them.
It's very different. Otherwise people wouldn't bother going into lockers.
Slugged people 99% of the time need someone else to go help them.
People in lockers just get out when you leave
-
How many perks encourage camping exactly?
I can only think of 2. Insidious and dying light.
The counter is indeed to rush gens. I play 50/50 and I rarely ever see a face camper.
And if someone indeeds just face camps whoever they get, they get ######### for points
-
Tbf, his suggestion is to buff hexes in general.

I mean..I wouldn't complain if they did XD

You know the issue with ranking in the fun department?
I have lots of fun with all killers except nurse, because I can't aim blinks...but I'm getting better, or i guess, less worse.

Unfinished product, revealing is frustrating for both sides cuz it's inconsistent. Noone wants to play a killer with a buggy power.
I never had any issues with his reveal tbh (while playing him at least, I assume I'm always too far away when I try to reveal him)

This reminds me of a funny build I used to run (Inspired by several other builds I saw) with Freddy during the Mettle Of Man Crisis.
One Punch Freddy. Old Freddy with Save The Best For Last, Play With Your Food, a third perk (I used Monitor and Abuse) and Rancor.
During the time in which I ran this build, almost every lobby had a "McLoopyPants" designed to waste as much of your time as possible. MoM + Dead Hard + Adrenaline/Deliverance + DS with an instaheal.
Since MoM was an obsession perk they'd almost always be the obsession.
The One Punch Freddy build pretty much meant for 95% of the match, the obsession doesn't exist. He'd click his flashlight at you, teabag you, etc. trying to get your attention. I'd often engage and immediately disengage in a chase with the obsession for a PYWF stack. Otherwise don't hit him yet.
After zipping around machine gunning everyone else down, you'd wait for the last gen to pop, rush over to the obsession, and insta-down and mori him in one hit. All perks and items bypassed in one attack.
I always found this super funny because Freddy's aura didn't exist for awake survivors (Sadly it does now) meaning Rancor's "Warning" (Obsession sees your aura after each gen pops) is often easily missed. Most Freddy obsessions also expected to be the Remember Me obsession and would hide in lockers etc. mid-chase to deny stacks or simply play immersed afraid you're gonna tunnel them. They'd NEVER expect you to be running Rancor, and even if they found out they'd suspect "Well maybe he's just running Remember Me and Rancor" and never, ever, ever think you're also running Save The Best For Last and Play With Your Food, and once you get your eight stacks of STBFL and they see the fast hit cooldown animation, it's too late!
Sounds fun.
Gotta love the stuff that comes up when people need to fight something very specific
-
Prayer beads is her best add on. By far. It's the closest any killer can get to omega nurse.
Her ultra thats from her mom is also great.(dont remember the name, ita her moms something)
Her best perk is a good headphone... Im half kidding.
Stridor is good, hearing people is how you smack them.
I have not played spirit all that much, so thats as far as I will go.
Int3r4ct has a good video on how to play spirit. You can go check out on youtube
Edit: ^what people said while I was typing this. Go with that
-
Pretty sure the strongest dlc killer you need to use money for is freddy. And he's not even top 5 in most peoples list.
Absolutely not pay to win

Or, or, or, get this...
They can just have hexes not spawn near survivors, next to generators, hooks, or out in the open.
An entire map rework shouldn't be needed for totem spawns. Besides, the above BS still happens even in springwood. Found two hexes literally 20 feet from each other in the Springwood school basement once; which both by the way were within 30 feet of the generator.
And I must emphasize on feet, not meters.
The game works on meters. You should probably use that metric to avoid confusion
-
Everything works in charges on dbd.
You use 16 charges to fully heal yourself in dbd.
You 2 people heal together, each person "gets" 8 charges.
Maybe the addons that speed it up make it so you dont gain the charge
-
I now realize I made this thread a question and not a discussion... oh well...

To be honest, I like the Ebony where it is now, it's fun for both sides (Well for me anyway) and a killer risks a depip or a safety anyway and doesn't get a lot of points by using it. Makes games different then the usual hooking repeatedly too. Don't get why red ranks hate it too much though to the point of Dcing, I love the animations and have a massive screenshot library of moris
I dont have any particular issues with it either, but when people goes hard with it, it can take the fun out of the game a bit.
-
Puppet ash exists and scoops ahoy steve will exist.
Derpface cant be the best cosmetic... XD
But it would be glorious
-
Moris are fine.
But Ebony is way too powerful. But if you use it you'll probably depip and get ######### for bloodpoints, so I never use it.
That said, got into a game agaisnt LF recently, he had an ebony. He killed one guy earlier in the match and he killed me after the 1st gate was opened.(sadly I ran towards the wrong one, or it would have been a 3 man escape)

Im on a ps4 and its the same as always.

So I a scenario where I would suicide. I'm playing solo survivor. I get hooked. The Meg on my team immediately runs up and unhooks before the killer walks away. She is obviously farming me I now go into struggle. She does it again. At least with the way things are now the second hook I can kill myself so she can't farm me a second time. Also when you dc your denying the killer all the point of the kill. When you suicide the killer gets all the points .
Nope. They do not.
Killer needs to hook you 3 times to get the points
-
Very not often... plague too...saw legion once today so that was cool. He was very underranked for that match...
-
Nope
-
Some killers could use a better mori.
Trapper, wraith, billy...
Some have amazing ones.
Hag, ghostface, leatherface, spirit
And some could use just a little extra something
Huntress, nurse, freddy
-
I like fake pallets... I go around dropping them for no reason...
Just "nope. Nope. Nope. Nonono."
Pretty sure it alerts freddy...but it's fun XD
-
Waste of time, you get gen rushed.
Its not against the rules.
Pig is slower than a survivor when she crouches, he can get away

I just played a piggy game I had dieing light stbfl pwyf and rancor the bill who was my target dropped a tool box for me and boob my snoot at the end even tho I had rancor lol I killed two but not the third I had to let Bill go he was a super cool dude but end of the day it was super fun thank you for your amazing idea 🐷❤️
I'm glad you had fun ^^
-
3-6 per hour is quite generous.
Theres lobby, on average matches last about 15 minutes, the ones that end fast don't give a lot of bloodpoints.
And your "generous" average is 5 games per hour?
20 matches to get 1million bps means you get 50k bps per match. I highly doubt that.
-
@chieftaco said:
is it really that rare for people to get 1 million bp minimum ez per gaming session?
Depends on what a gaming session is for people.
I can get around 200 or 300 k on average.
Sometimes I just do the daily and leave because life. Sometimes I have an entire day free.

🐷❤️
That person is clearly better than the previous one, how could you even like the previous one? Something must have been wrong.
Or, Never abandom senpai. Whichever you prefer :)

I would not use ruin and devour hope together.
And I put bbq on everything because bps :p

Tutoring mode or training ground sound like cool alternatives.
I think it's important to remember, though, when criticising the tutorials for lack of information, to put yourself into the mindset of a new player who knows literally nothing. No one wants to spend an hour in the tutorial before they even get to try the real thing. Yes, there's a lot of important stuff that the tutorial misses, but it covers all the absolute most basic controls and mechanics. This is your goal, these are the direct steps you have to take to reach it. You can't really put much more than that in a tutorial before it gets overwhelming.
Make 2 or 3 tutorials.
Basic
Medium
Advanced
And there you go, anyone can take as many or as little information as they want

Jonathan was a creep taking pictures of nancy.

Calm spirit makes survivors not scream, which is useful against Clown, Freddy and Doc, as well as a handful of perks like infectous fright. It also makes crows not get startled by you.
Iron will suppresses grunts of pain, so you wont make abunch of noise when your injured.
Yeah...I was mixing them together in my head...

I never like the idea of a perk being REQUIRED. Hindsight is 20 20, and while it may be good in SOME cases, you cant expect them to bring a different loadout to counter every killer's strengths.
Not really required... but its a great counter against the 2 best killers in the game, nurse and spirit. And also works great against doctor and freddy.
Not required but, its really good.

You're not wrong. The tutorial needs an update.

I remember being a new killer and spending what felt like AGES to finally down someone. I hook them up, and they get unhooked 15 seconds later... and all of a sudden, it felt like ALL that work was for nothing.
I really wasnt any good at applying any pressure or anything, since Id just follow the exact pathing the survivor would take (including vaulting every window) and Id get SUPER tunnel vision, because I figured id rather down this guy I finally injured than start a new chase with someone else who MUST be equally as good as the guy im chasing.
Omg...I remember my first game. I played hag because I saw "mark stuff and teleport" and it sounded neat.
I can pretty much remember what I was thinking..." where is anyone? How do I teleport? Found someone, stop running and let me hit you! HA, hit you...wait why are you suddenly so fast? What am I even doing with my hand? Why am I so slow? Where did you run to? How do I read these scratch marks? How did they fix all the gens already? This hag is too weak"
Good times.
I actually had pretty bad rng on my first killer games, got cornfield on hag, so I couldn't see anything. Got lery on billy...
