That would be nice...
To elaborate, only transfer add-ons from items you brought with you, not from your inventory. So if you have a toolbox, it’ll only work if you are lucky enough to find another toolbox.
Conversely, it gives you a reason to use Ace in the Hole even if you bring items. You might find a good odd-on on a cruddy brown item that you want to attach to your fancy purple one.
