Every Knight player say the same and BHVR still ignore this.

    Awfull summoning.

Map of the realm must be basekit.

Addons are bad and a few even detrimental. They even dont understand how + patroling time its bad.

Also i would buff Jailer somehow, its the worst. Just a new little skill that helps. May be hinder 1-2%, freeze negative status on survivors (like blind/exahust with fearmonger),freeze positive effects on knight, when kick a gen its blocked 10 seconds...

Or whatever just Jailer less trash.

I agree, Jailer is really bad. The other 2 can be quite useful, but this poor guy does nothing but make funny noises :')

  • I will say that I've been really satisfied with the increased amount of cosmetics that we have been getting for the past few months. A lot of them are really good as well. I am particularly happy that Jonah and Haddie have been getting cosmetics. Very nice from BHVR. I am hoping that they keep it up, and also start giving more love to Gabriel, the poor guy has been suffering from the cosmetic variety.

The only thing that's been bothering me is that sometimes the female characters get many more skins that the male one. I get it, female characters are more popular. But look at the Baroque collection. Only 1 male character, the rest are female. Also look at the lastest "Visions of the Future" collection - ALL females, none male.

I am okay with female characters getting more cosmetics than male ones, since they are more popular. But I am not okay with female characters getting way more cosmetics than the male ones. This is just not okay with us who prefer and play mostly male characters. #LoveForAll

  • I think a problem arises when you combine double speed with the hugtech in a loop - the survivor basically can't do much.

Sounds basically like Alc Ring for good spirit players, therefore I don't like it...

This and get rid of the "Hide within 10 meters of the Killer for 60 seconds in a single trial" challenges as well. You literally cannot do anything else when you're trying to stay that close to the Killer without being spotted. Even eliminating the "single trial" requirement would be a huge improvement, as you can gradually progress on that challenge while playing more naturally.

I agree! OMG... that challenge requires to throw. I always have to bring Lery's offering and use wall hacks (key, bond) until I get the challenge.

  • As long as BHVR does anything regarding Blight being too strong, I will be happy. I get that he is fun to play as, but he can also be quite miserable to play against. Skull Merchant that holds 3-gens for an hour is fun to play for certain people, but that doesn't mean that she should be left like that. Precisely why she is getting changed. Hopefully Blight's busted addons are next.

  • This challenge is one of the worst challenges ever. It causes so many people to throw. If you get downed just once, you already cannot get it in that match. It encourages awful stealthy plays, just to not get found by the killer. Extremely bad for the game, since a lot of people will play in a certain way to get it done.

I strongly encourage BHVR to change it to a different challenge.

  • It's a bug/exploit that has existed in the game for 3 years . It is baffling when you think about it. The devs have known about it and have still not fixed it.

I assume they just break things and forget about it. Which is why I would personally rather they don't touch Blight.

Even if I feel some add-on adjustments might be nice, I feel confident in saying once they and their audience are done, things will be worse.

This is what they have a history of doing, as you pointed out via Hillbilly. Why would anyone want to continue that cycle?

I don't think that the devs are incompetent to give Blight a proper nerf. Proper would mean he's still good to play as, just not OP. Keeping Blight as he is? He's way too strong and unfair. Nerfing Blight too much like Hillbilly? That would make him bad to play as. There is a middle ground. The devs should be able to find it. (hint: nerf the addons and fix the hugtech exploit).

It's been 3 years , I repeat. With all the balance talk BHVR has been giving us, it is completely unacceptable to keep Blight and Nurse as they are.

  • Speaking of Hillbilly, the devs nerfed him to the ground, and refuse to give him (back) some good addons. And Blight is still going rampant with over-dominating kit/performance. Both are high mobility killers, Blight being the better one both basekit-wise and addon-wise. It baffles me why there is such discrepancy between the two. It's like they're fearing buffing Billy to become decent, but they have no problems at all letting Blight being overbearing like this.

I wish that the Devs would stop being silent and actually tell us why they're not doing anything about the Blight. Do they think that he is balanced and in a good spot? Is there money involved that they would lose if they nerfed Blight? Blight has an amazing selection of addons, but Freddy and Pyramid Head for example have some of the most boring and useless addons in the game...

  • Trickster should get his Main Event changed imo. In a match, it is either too strong (especially when camping a hook), or useless - it activates when you down someone, and can't find someone else before the activated state runs out.

  • Blight is definitely a problem. You get hit with a rush and then he immediately is able to rush at you again, thanks to alchemist's ring and blighted crow, and hit you again before you are able to make it to a (new) loop. Or, you drop a pallet, but he just rushes into it with the iri addon and breaks it, and can rush at you again almost instantly. Or, you turn a really sharp corner during a chase, but guess what, the hugtech keeps him glued to the wall, and he can just down you no matter how much distance you make.

Great mobility, so it's very easy to use Pop, and go back to the hook from the other side of the world when the unhook happens. With Adrenaline Vial, this just gets worse. Great mobility, but the base speed is still 4.6 m/s.

Fair and balanced, yeah, uh-huh. Especially if you main him and don't want your EZ mode to be taken away from you.

  • I'm all for more Resident Evil skins. Including legendary characters like Chris Redfield. The current Chris skin could be a "base" skin that we need to buy for $15 to "own" Chris, and be able to use other Chris skins that will cost $10 each (or heck, make them $15 if you want, just give us more skins, please).

That, and fix Chris' face, like you did with Jill and Claire please. <3

  • Killers on average get by far many more BP per match than survivors. Especially in solo q. Even when a killer holds a slugfest, all survivors get like 5-7k BP tops, and the killer gets 20k+ BP.

Killers do not need a help with BPs, trust me. Survivor do though.

  • I've also seen streamers get RPD East Wing and West Wing back to back, without any map offering, which just proves this point.

  • @SleepyLunatic said:

Love how everyone is complaining about that when the game doesnt even work like that.

The game randomly picks a general map and after that a random variant gets chooses.

chances to get badham are not higher just because it got tons of variants.

Yes they are actually. BHVR has implemented "map repeat prevention", but I still get 2 badhams in a row, for example, just different versions. And that's without map offerings. Which means, the map repeat prevention only makes sure I don't get Badham V and Badham V back to back, but I can still (and I do) get Badham V then Badham III. It's happened many times now.

the killer (blight) and his hug tech are fine but his addons must be changed

Well yeah, what I mean by nerf is mostly addons, because they give him too much advantage. But I also think that the hug tech should go. It's as annoying as the Oni's 180-s.

  • @ABAEX said:

    nope, blight can be Counter.

just be good to Counter blight.

Lol just be good against Nurse and old Spirit too, right? :)

So, again, what you want is an abusable system granting protection from losing (unable to go down until next hook? Really?).

And "Defense from tunneling should not be a privilege, it should be a right."? That's the most entitled survivor main thing that I have hear in all my time playing this game. It's like a killer saying "BHVR need to implement a mechanic that automatically injure healthy survivors and hooks the injured ones if survivors tunnels the gens in less than 4 minutes. Defense from gen rushing should not be a privilege, it should be a right!" 🤣

So what you are saying is that it's impossible to down any of the remaining 3 survivors? I've been playing killer for years, and trust me, all 4 survivors are downadble and hookable. If you are having trouble downing any of the 3 survivors, then you need to work on your skills. Something is veeeery wrong in how you play killer. I feel like I've never seen a streamer unable to down more than 1 survivor in a match. This seems like a problem unique to you.

Not getting eliminated from a match before you had a chance to do anything is abusable in your opinion? Man, are you really listening to yourself? You hook the same person twice, without hooking anyone else. And you're telling me you are unable to down anyone else before this person dies? Unless you are constantly playing with cheaters who use significant speed hacks, then you are very out of touch with reality.

What I proposed would only work once per match, and only IF a certain condition is met: 1 person on death hook, and no-one else hooked.

How is being entitled when you want a chance to play the match, and not get constantly harassed until death, before you managed to get any points? You really think people will still want to play the game after matches like this?

  • Agreed, the devs need to understand that this perk is worthless. Even if it reduced the terror radius in chase to 0m, it would still be worthless. Why would anyone run this, apart from perk roulettes?

  • @DEMONANCE said:

look at why the perks and addons aren't used

    give them new effects

no one is gonna use furtive chase, bffs, or the deathslinger, freddy, pyramid head..etc addons you changed

isn't this literally what midchapters are for?

why not give number changes for things that actually need it like oppression/ thrilling tremors/ iam all ears which are hindered by their lengthy cooldowns.

why not give background player less exaustion timer like smash hit instead of extra duration and maybe give it killer aura reveal on pick ups also i was hopeful for more than 2 perks to be changed.

am grateful for all the other changes tho.

Great points, I completely agree. Opression cooldown is atrocious, and it has remained unchanged for ages. Background player could definitely benefit from a smaller cooldown, rather a longer speed boost. And yes, Furtive Chase would be a worthless perk even if the terror radius dropped to 0 during the chase. The devs are completely missing the point with this perk. They should start playing their own game. :')

They said in the last AMA that it’s getting changed already, they focused too much on Skull Merchant changes that they barely changed two perks this update (and very minimal changes indeed). Let them cook, they needed time to focus on SM and by the look of it, it looks pretty neat (will have to wait until PTB tho). Changing and reworking things that are considered problematic by the community is not that easy, proper fixed require time and testing. Let’s hope the wait is worth it and they’re thinking it through well!

Yeah but we can't wait until 2030 for the MFT nerf.

  • In the past I made a suggestion where we can choose whether we want to get only survivor dailies, only killer dailies, or both. Currently most of the dailies are killer dailies. Survivor mains have no use from the dailies, due to this.

    Of course, I got ignored.

  • Just yesterday I had a killer hardcore tunnel someone out of the game before ever hooking someone else. I did my best to protect that person, but in the end the killer got them. How much fun do you think that person had? How much do you think they want to continue playing this game?

Like I said in other posts, if a person is on a death hook, and no-one else has been hooked, make them unable to go down until someone else is hooked.

And yeah, the DS nerf just opened the floodgates to tunneling. The skill check has always been hard to hit on consoles and lower-end PCs. And if you miss it, the perk is dead for the rest of the game. So much for the anti-tunneling help. Did the devs increase the size of the skill check to help with the usability/accessibility of this perk? No. Did the devs make it so even if you miss the skill check, you can still use DS after the next unhook? No. What did the devs do? Reduce the stun to 3 seconds, so the killers don't even feel the punishment. This change to DS actually did a lot to promote tunneling.

IF the devs actually want DS to be a viable perk for everyone, but not increase the stun time, they could do this:

    • increase the skill check so that people can hit it. Defense from tunneling should not be a privilege, it should be a right. If you equipped a perk, it should be functionable.
    • make it so even if you miss the skill check, the perk will still re-activate after the next unhook
    • after the stun, make the killer Incapacitated (unable to use their M2) for 10 seconds. The killer can still go after the survivor, and use M1, but they can't just M2 (this is critical with huntress, nurse, wesker, blight, who don't feel the 3 second stun)
  • It used to look like this, perfect size compared to the offering hexagon. But in the current offering (as seen in the screenshot above), the badge is too big and overlaps with the hexagon's boundaries.

Zarina’s being modelled after her Christmas sweater still has me in tears. Torsos collections are cute and having different torsos alone is nice because the possibilities are so many more and many more characters could receive cosmetics more often that way. Hopeful for more torso collections like Ugly Sweaters, Cats&Dogs and even the Meet Your Maker shirts!

I hope so too, they are a really cool addition to the game. :)

I also see we're continuing the trend of extremely dull outfit descriptions. Some of these can't muster more than six words. I'm not expecting novels or anything but these used to have at least a little bit of wit and charm to them.

Indeed.... The descriptions lately have been dry. :| Anyway, I do hope that BHVR considers making backpacks optional. They're seriously losing on money.

  • Thank you both so much! ♥️

  • @Peanits said:

Others have mentioned it, but turrets are crucial to playing against The Xenomorph. They are not meant to be something you can overlook or choose not to use. The tail attack is a little stronger and can be used more frequently than some other powers because it's possible to disable it with a turret. If you approach a Xenomorph chase the same was as some other Killers and solely rely on pallets and windows, you're probably going to die pretty quickly.

About pallets and windows being tools for Survivors, while that is true, they have never been foolproof. Some of the earliest Killers (e.g. Huntress, Nurse, etc.) have powers that can hit over them. Even the very first Killer, The Trapper, could trap a pallet or window to turn that helpful tool into a death trap. Yes, they can help you, but only if you use them at the right time. They are not meant to provide absolute immunity just because you reached them. If you know the Killer has a power that can attack through them, you'll need to keep that in mind. In a situation like this, prethrowing the pallet might be the best option because it'll give you a chance to gain some distance or break line of sight before the Killer gets close enough.

Why are then there addons that decrease the range of the turrets' flames, as well as the staggering? If I remember correctly, they are yellow and green, so not had to get them from bloodwebs at all.

  • The Pig.

I love her passive game slowdown (the traps), I love that she has stealth and a cool ambush attack (with addons it's super cool).

She also makes the cutest noice when stunned. She sounds like a badass lion while charging her attack.

And the best: booping the snoot is one of the cutest things in the game, it's nice when survivors bond with the killer. 😊

  • I am surprised that they have been oblivious to people on Twitter hating the backpacks.

  • Could we please though have an option to toggle the backpack off? If necessary, you could add a separate torso in the game files (the same torso, but without the backpack straps). There are so many people who would buy outfits if they didn't have the backpack.

I would LOVE this Dwight's outfit, if it weren't for the backpack.

  • @Quizzy said:

Well for one. He's gay, not played much and he's a man so of course they will mistreat him. It's been 8+ months and he hasn't gotten a skin. Like you said, he never gotten a rugby skin that ties to his lore while Meg gets multiple lore accurate skins and Felix gets non lore accurate shirtless skins. But hey more skins for Feng, nea, Meg, Kate, Mikaela.

Besides, you shouldn't really depend on bhvr to make a consistent rugby skin for david anyways. They would screw it up anyways and give him long rugby pants instead of short shorts.

Lol the lore accurate shirtless Felix skins :') ...they have been long overdue... :(

I won't take excuses for not giving David his lore-related rugby skin. There is a big playerbase that loves David and plays as him. He also has not received a single pride cosmetic, even though we would love getting and buying them.

  • I was sure he would get a summer outfit, but BHVR failed to deliver 😥

Joy for us and money for BHVR, simple formula for success. Not sure what happened...

  • I've also been getting kicked out of matches due to server issues. It sucks especially when the match was a fun one. :/ I also had killers I face DC randomly, which I only can assume happened due to, again, server kicking them out.

I also would like cosmetics have less or no dirt and blood on them. It unnecessarily ruins the look. DBD hasn't been a hide-and-seek game for a looooong time. We've finally been getting colorful and vibrant cosmetics. Which is great, because that's what we want, and it sells. No need to smear it with blood or dirt to justify its existence in matches. Let it be pretty. Period.

Camping and tunneling are definitely obnoxious. 1 survivor should NOT be able to be removed from a match before any other survivor even got hooked. It's a harassment and very unfair to survivors, especially solo q.

My problem with rifts are too many Kates, Mikaelas, Fengs, Neas and Megs, and not enough of other survivors. Like come on, these girls are swimming in cosmetics, let someone else have some. Especially male survivors. Also, change the colors of deep rift recolors every rift, it's been getting very repetitive.

I hope TCM leads DBD devs into adding new modes to their game. I think a lot of TCM enjoyers love that as a victim, you are always moving, doing something proactive. Sitting on a gen in DBD is far from it. Although, doing gens in DBD is a nice time of break/relax for us who do enjoy it.

  • I got this too. 1 match I played as the Artist, and managed to down them with Dire Crows, but couldn't do anything with M1's. Today, I was playing survivor. I died, and then spectated my teammates (all 3 of them) abusing this in a basement against a Spirit. There was nothing she could to, so she was forced to DC.

  • I love playing Nemesis, and I feel ike he's fine the way he is. Yeah, "he takes 3 hits to down someone", I get that. However, it feels satisfying to me whenever I infect someone, and then especially if it makes me tier up. Not too infrequently I have my zombies hit someone and help me out, it's both fun and funny.

I agree that Wesker and Xenomorph seem like an upgrade compared to Nemesis in some ways. Still, I feel great satisfaction with injury x infection. Even if midchase I can only hit someone with the tentacle (not M1) at a certain vault, while they are already injured and non-infected, and the hit doesn't down them but rather infects them, it feels satisfying to me.

I feel like Nemesis is one of the best designed killers. He's decently strong (good antiloop), and also fun. You tier up twice in a match, it's a mini-goal to work for. Achieving goals is satisfying. You can break pallets and walls with his tentacle (unlike Xenomorph). He's got a pretty solid kit, imo.

  • Yesterday I had a bot miss the skillcheck twice when healing me (during the same heal). Like, come on. Bots are already worse than actual players, they should not miss skilchecks ever, in my opinion. Or at least, not this often.

  • Yes, Nurse is broken. I feel like if she has 1 blink tops, she would be fair. If you ignore walls, pallets and windows, then at least be skillful enough to compensate.

Also, it's not absolutely true that she's hard to master. For some people, yes. But I've seen people who've become insanely good with her in less than a week of practice.

1 blink Nurse basekit might just be the thing to make her balanced.

  • I also hope they give us separate buttons for these 2 perks: "E" for blast mine, and "F" for Wiretap, for example. Let us choose when we want to activate each of them, please :(

  • @Mooks said:

As for the toggle for backpacks and hats I think many people don’t realize that this is in most cases more than just a simple one click solution for them. Generally the hair isn’t modeled completely under the hat and even if so, would need to be reworked to look normal workout the hat. Same with plenty of backpacks and their straps. I mean, I guess it’s not as much work as creating a completely new cosmetic but it does require work for any existing of such cosmetics and require more resources for any of such upcoming cosmetics.

I see. Thanks for sharing this with us. I've been under impression that backpacks at least are something that "have a life of their own", because they respond to survivor's movement. As if they are not attached to the back.

  • I would at least like the heart emote. Hopefully they implement it. <3

    Hmm that's an interesting one!

  • I would want BHVR to **buff** these offerings, because they are very weak. Actually, buff those that increase the mist, and remove those that lessen it. The latter feel useless.

  • I agree, turrets are such a pain to use. I walk around until the floor is lit in blue, but then immediately turns to red, because the space where you can place the turrent is almost pixel perfect. And then if Xeno appears suddenly, you either have to rush and hope you get that pixel, or you have to use R to drop the turret (instead of activating it), and run away.

Yesterday, I took the turret on top of the Dead Dawg Salloon, and there was nowhere I could place it nearby. That's ridiculous. Why does it have to be "pixel perfect"?

And yeah also, why do I hae to hold M1 to place them? I have toggle on for actions, why does the toggle function not work for these?

TL;DR Turrets are very clunky and annoying to set up. Too many restrictions on their placement.

  • This brings up another question.... is Franklin's justified now that the medkits are considerably nerfed? Tollboxes will usually be consumed (I think) by the time you get to apply franklin's on them anyway.

  • @appleas said:

You need to dodge 3 chains before you get a window period to solve the box

This. Once you know this, the world/match is your oyster. :)

  • I understand the proposal, but I personally wouldn't want the mid-game lobby to be removed.

    Because:

    • you can get a wholesome or a funny chat with someone :)
    • you can ask people if they have a/the (new) map offering or a mist offering to make things a bit more interesting
    • if you see 2-3 Resident Evil (or Attack on Titan, Silent Hill) characters, you are able to switch to 1 from the same franchise as well, and match them :D
    • you can arrange a 4 (shirtless) Davids match
    • you have time to go to the bathroom (or elsewhere), while you (or your swf) are waiting in queue.
  • Imagine if this was her in-game mori instead. It would have made it so much better... It's quite gruesome.
