After some thought, I'd love a theater mode to play back matches so killers don't have to relyon twitch streamers for replays.
Also, an ability to link your game account to the forums that would show anybody here your stats such as most played characters, perks, items used, kill percent, survive percent etc.
I only make that second suggestion because I used to be active on the CoD forums when Treyarch was using the official CoD website and they had all of this back in 2008 for the xbox 360 generatuon. Infinity Ward was too successful to care so only World at War had all this
"As a Killer main at high mmr I think-"
"Bro your most played killer is Trapper with 2 hours '

I scrubbed out towards the end, cashing out at 600 Cobblers for Eren.
I had to remind myself that I still have 5th and 6th year cakes so it's no big deal.
I hope people burn the cobbler in 2v8!

I think anything is possible in DBD at this point. They've already branched out past the horror theme with collabs so I guess it doesn't matter anymore.
I got my Eren Jeager so the sky truly is the limit.
Best of luck to you, OP!

Detonation delay and range are your best friends.
I never play doc though, hes a rarity for me. But I kinda have a soft spot for Starstruck and Iron maiden on him just for flavor more than anything but it's nice having my blast be more accurate since survivors won't be hopping in lockers and shocks can be more deadly with the Exposed but maybe Starstruck wouldn't be a good choice for your case but maybe Whispers would be good

I'm the rare breed of Myers enjoyers who only plays double iri Myers lol
Needless to day, Myers is one of my higher prestige killers out of necessity, not because I like him.

Remote hook is (was?) faster than Power Struggle as well
i know the event was killer sided, but not even being able to power struggle myself with a crappy party pallet sure burst my bubble

If you'd like a basic perk skeleton, Franklins+Weave+Jolt is a not bad. Bit of info, bit of remote kicking and less headache over items.
If you like stealthy killers then you don't really mind the Distortions

I'm happy for the Freddy enjoyers though, especially GeneralV

I think Judith's Tombstone will be fine, the downsides are enough to balance it out. Tombstone Piece will almost certainly get a change, though.
ThIs is my tinfoil hat conspiracy but I think Judiths Tombstone is safe just because Myers in Dbd would seem a tad silly if he didn't have the option to just stab a survivor.

Yes, but at least something, because its annoying that they add events with fragments that you cant even use.
Those fragments are for people who have a life outside of dbd. They are useless to me too, but I can at least be happy for the people who benefit from it.

Amas only appear when $$$$ content is on the horizon; the only answers that will be replies to are lowball questions and jokes.

I hope it does, though it needs to deactivate during endgame. Otherwise its a free escape
I would rather this perk not be buffed at all if it can't work in the end game. Then what's next, BT and NOLB?
Ds and otr are totallyfair being disabled in the end game, as is the (expose) killer camping out their free kill at the end.
Killer endgame perks like NOED say that Survivors are not entitled to a free escape just by doing 5 gens, so I don't see it as a bad thing that killers can't just get a free guaranteed kill just because 5 gens were done.
Besides, in my humble opinion I'd rather survivors try and deprive me of a single kill instead of just confirming a 3 man out. Anything to encourage survivors being altruistic when they don't need to is welcome in my books, I say

Alien. Hearing a ton of noise pollution and having a crispy alien yell REEEE just tickles my survivor brain.

You ultimately have to choose one, though
If I had to choose between slightly less "fun" and complete removal of pure waste of time, I'd choose latter with no question
The insta win is technically just a formality, but the reason 4x bleedout isn't the norm is because it's boring. Survivors hide in corners to spite you for making them stare at the floor.
We don't need the game encouraging more floor staring. If you want to slug 4 people consistently, you should have to put up with the boring end result.
-
@Neaxolotl said:
Oh wait, this is exactly the time we should ask for finisher mori, without of course that dumb stupidest decision that is basekit unbreakable
It's not like survivors love to yell for how "unfair" to finish a game in with already losing games, right
The problem wasn't the Unbreakable; despite Survivors having this base kit, it was still a net buff to slugging by"blessing" it with an instant win condition.
The finisher mori should not work with more than 1 survivor alive
-
I think it's hot garbage.
-
People act disingenuous and pretend to not see anything wrong here and yet also wonder why this community's attitude is in such poor state.
-
You can rework Legion from my cold, dead, controller drifted hands
-
For the Unknown I'll never unequip Unforeseen+ Nowhere to Hide it's just not negotiable. Their best add-ons, Vanishing Box+ Captured by the Dark I feel similarly about
For Pinhead the build I settled on was Plaything, Pentimento, Thrill and Face the Darkness. Face the Darkness is my "bait" Hex to force Survivors to break totems. I think FtD is sadistic and cruel on Pinhead, but it's on brand for him and I'd like to think it's a nice change of pace from using Devour or Ruin as the bait. Survivors these days sometimes ignore Ruin.
Despite all that I sadistically relish in Survivor misery guilt free because the build only comes online if you hook all survivors before your bones break I think that's honestly fair
I loooove Legion I've gained them for years I always dump them for somebody younger and prettier but I always come back to them no matter what. My goto is Enduring, Bamboozle Dissolution Jolt I don't play Legion to stack slowdown I AM the slowdown!
When I play Legion I average 2 Enduring grabs every match I give 0 Fs about respecting pallets with my power up In fact I try to delay my power until I'm near the pallet then pounce like a kitty cat Survivors will tend to drop the pallet out of reflex to deny your power but often I end up on the same side of the pallet as them so they panic vault but that's where the Enduring comes in

What playstyles/builds do you both use and enjoy playing with? I'd like to hear about some other players' experiences and how they still manage to have fun despite dealing with this weird MMR system.
In general, I find mentality more important than matchmaking in the sense of I'd like to be paired with like minded people, whether they want to chill and have fun or be super sweaty. I'm down for either, but there's no way to know before a match.
IIn General I have Surge on pretty much every killer I play, and rhats the only gen slowdown ai use. My basic formula is 1 slowdown(doesn't have to be gen related, roundabout slowdown like Sloppy and Hexes count) paired with 1 info perk.
This event for example I've just been vibing with Chucky and Unknown. Chucky I've been using a basic build of Surge, Monitor, Franklins Weave and Unknown with Lethal, Nowhere to Hide, Unforeseen and either Nurses or Surge.
Nothing too insane, but I feel flexible enough to have enough tools to deal with tougher opponents but not get super bent out of shape if I run into something funny like 4x Distortions or 4x Background Player. I can sweat my butt off for the 3k but I'm fine enough playing around 2ks.
-
Would really love to see Eren Jeager be a Legendary alternative skin for Dwight like Chris Redfield that's all I want
-
My limited, anecdotal perspective on old Billy was quite different. I hated old Billy because he was too easy to face(boring) and I felt like the people playing him would get really upset and take it out on all of us because they chose to play a terrible killer.
This buff of his has been net neutral if anything in my opinion. New Billy slugs us all because it's too easy and he's crazy strong but that ain't much different than before when Billy would bleed you out because they got upset that you made them bump or you dared to vault a window or because you randomly got sent to Hawkins
-
I suppose I should be grateful that I was always a Nurses+Monitor Knight so the range limit doesn't really bother me
-
I already love both BT and Babysitter....I'm so excited for this! Fun perks to use during the game, but even more awesome during the end game
-
Matchmaking barely works anyway so trying to play around mmr is just pointless just play whatever you find fun your matches will be mismatched regardless

For a literal crutch we have seen sticks, one made of LEGO (which was pretty cool honestly) and one had a sword in it. Like we all said everything can be a crutch, and if some people really do use it as a crutch does that make it a crutch for everyone else? The answer we're seeing from you is yes. If so, so be it, but then every perk is a crutch then as they hold players up (we can't remember the last time we saw a good perkless player in the wild).
No the best perks are the best perks.
What's fun is subjective but what's good is not.
Sprint burst is a good perk, both a fact and an opinion. Regression perks (by and large) are the best killer perks. same thing.
And we thought you were learning…
Who decides what's the best? You? Us? Firellius? The devs? Cause let us tell you, EVERYONE has a different definition of that. It. Is. Subjective. What's the best for one person isn't for the other which you really don't seem to get. Saying this or that is good or the best doesn't cut it, especially when you simply SAY that it is and don't back it up. A friend of ours never kept in mind whenever he got SB in chaos mode cause he never ran it, was it still good on him? When people 99 SB against us, we keep going and ask "ok, now what you got?" as they proceed to scramble for something once they run out of resources. And if you go and say something along the lines of "Well they were using it wrong" then what about the cowards using distortion? ohh "Well, they were using it wrong" because they weren't being productive while having a way to stealth aura reading.
It's not all but it is a larger proportion than other perk users because the perk leans into in, you can say that's subjective but there is truth in that statement, and as I have said previously its easier to change perks than the players, especially if the perks are enablers.
For example breakdown is a bad perk but the way it's used to create zones players can't be hooked it I think justifies changes because the correct thing to do is to slug the players out but they usually run no mither. (its a rare occurrence but its also a rare perk and changing perks is easier then changing how players play)
Your missing or ignoring the point on purpose now aint cha? Let us spell it out clear and concise out in the open:
You keep trying to debate your opinions and views as facts. We are explaining how your word alone is NOT fact and that the few facts you have given have counter points.
You don't need this defined for you. I'm sorry.
Then we define your definition of both as: "Anything I say is Fair is fair" and "Whatever I want" respectively. Thats going to go over so well with anyone with a smidgen of free will.
Swap the word forcing with encouraging and most of these answers are a yes especially within the scenario we concocted.
Surprisingly the answers are still no. Its not encouraging camping, its not encouraging risks from survivors, and no its not affecting how the safe option is the boring one. If a killer was gonna camp due to distortion then they'd camp if everyone suspected or was paranoid of BBQ (or was just gonna camp from the start anyways but we'll leave that option away). If survivors were gonna take risks they'd do it with or without it. You seem to think that it has some super influence on the majority, we can assure you it doesn't (the majority, the minority we'd be more inclined to agree, but even then its a maybe and no one knows).
If you offer the killer the option to play the game with 1 or 2 less perks (assuming they bring aura perks) being able to be used on 2 people that are running distortion or to tunnel out the player/camp and force stages on the players he has the easiest access to by ping-ponging between then they will play like scumbags. Killers always have its the role that attracts the more competitive players.
So we're back again to the players being the issue. Since you claim that "they will play like scumbags" then whether or not they see an aura they wouldn't leave since they'll do the "tunnel out the player/camp and force stages on the players he has the easiest access to by ping-ponging between". Since distortion wouldn't change that it gets a new positive in that those "scumbags" won't be able to ping pong between them and have a harder time tunneling if they lost their target.
Yea but all these perks that deal with distortion in conjunction with eachother are weak (except NTH) and like i said i dont like perks rolling over and disabling other perks anyway. It will make the game less interesting and decrease the variety of perks that get run over a long period of time if this is the direction the game goes in.
And here we go again. Who defines weak? Weak is in the eyes of the beholder (kinda sad that wasnt the dnd killer) and a handful aren't weak to us. Gearhead is good on its own for info while Weave attunement, Lightborn, and undying have some conditions but are good with the right set up (the first if survivors have items, second if flashlights or flashbangs are in play, and the third goes with any totem build) [Suppose we should explain that we do not see niche perks as inherently weak for lightborns case not that we think this will be read].
i said i dont like perks rolling over and disabling other perks anyway. It will make the game less interesting and decrease the variety of perks that get run over a long period of time if this is the direction the game goes in.
And again, thats your views and thats fine. Our views on that specifically is that some perks hindering others is fine. Considering we already have some perks that disable others and some POWERS that disable perks, we don't feel like it'll decrease all that much more. Especially considering theres a lack of variety anyways.
Shout out to Mr tatorhead aka NoPerksSince2020 he's probably the only perkless Chad I've ever had the pleasure to meet xD
Apologies for quoting all that just for a fluff comment, I'm typing 1 handed on mobile X.x

It's gotten so much worse over the years. Part of it is from shrinking the maps but even levels like rpd aren't safe. There used to be a time that the main lobby would only have 1 gen but for whatever reason we needed rpd to be easy mode for killer by giving them 2 main lobby gens which coincidentally happened around Skull Merchant chess era

I don't think I'd want Bill voiced tbh. Dbd Bill is iconic in his own right, in fact I daresay that dbd is Bill's retirement home but nobody can replace Bills OG actor, RIP

Having to run Exponential to deal with clowns because people can't end game that are clearly lost gets old.
At this point I just run it to waste their time like how they waste all ours. None of these slugging killers will waste time on a far off boon. Needing to run this perk is annoying, though. I only run it out of sheer spite but I try not to start my dbd sessions being petty

I think CoH and Boil Over has made survivors unable to handle anything at this point if we're being honest.
