Tunneling is kind of telegraphed so it makes it easy to interfere. The earlier that survivors are aware of it, the more likely it is that the tunneled survivor will have the whole map to play with.
-
Tbh, I just run Ripleys Watch+Ovomorph and call it a day.
-
Truth be told, I can't say I'm a fan of him selecting guards. Jailor was my go to renovations expert I hated him so much I'd go out of my way to get him away from Me and get to a good guard
-
I'm just here to zoom with the Haste modifier :)
-
Chucky is still fun to bully except now more people are randomly getting grabbed
I find it hard to hate Chucky when him missing his dash is just so comedic
-
It's all fun and games until Machine Learning triggers.
One of my favorite memories was chasing a survivor near a 95d gen as double iri Myers and I just maintained eye contact with the girl finishing the gen while still chasing the 1st, she even stopped thinking I was gonna grab her off....no sweetie you just activated my trap card
Girl #1 greeded a pallet and immediately got bulldozed by a Mach 3 Tombstone I can only imagine what she was thinking

if you can chase a survivor while healthy (not hearing grunts) than you can do it while they have iron will. Nough said
Iron Will users make less noise than healthy survivors
-
Sorry that you're having a rough time. Killers are clearlyOP in this event, so I'm just chilling and not sweating the event too much. Sadly, others do not feel the same some people see this as an opportunity to play with the other side as if it's a single player game.

That you dont tunnel is not part of the topic. I was asking a question. If 100% noise reduction would be that strong, why can Killers easily tunnel Survivors who have Off the Record? Which also prevents Aura read?
You know, it gets tired to be right all the time on this forum.Otr activates on a stationary target who gives off a loud noise notification, whereas IW activates while a survivor is mobile, speedboosted and you are on animation cooldown.
IIn Terms of tunneling you have a higher chance of escape in chase with Iron Will
-
If running Distortion is selfish, then so is running exhaust or chase perks because you make yourself too hard a target for the killer so they will only go for your team.
The hate for Distortion is quite frankly ridiculous.
-
I'd rather have the exhaust stipulation removed so I can pair it with Overcome, that'd be the true anti tunnel build.
-
I would have preferred the Exhaustion removal personally, only because 75% is still deceptively good and would pair well with Exhaustion like Overcome....
OOh Well, I'll take what I can get. Iron Will was my newbie love and my 1st favorite perk alongside Calm Spirit

No more Map of the Realm add-on reguired (this isn't a buff tho but nice QoL change).
Only 50% of it is basekit though… You really think that's enough? And yes, this is a buff. Stop pretending that QoL changes aren't usually buffs as well already. Half of his best addon is now basekit, in what world is this not a buff to base Knight?
I personally am not convinced any Knight player will stop running it. They should have just gave us a bone by giving map entirely for free and then go from there.

Complete silence was not absurd before. The Perk just got overnerfed because it was used often to ShAkE Up tHe mEtA…
Anything below 100% noise reduction is just pointless and you might just equip another Perk than Iron Will.
It absolutely was absurd at the time.
We have crazy info perks now so now maybe it's not so bad. Hiding near a gen injured just doesn't pressure the killer like it used to now that Nowhere to Hide exists.

Like others have said, the process is automatic. The PS5 doesn't make that loud jet engine sound. PS5 runs DBD like a PC game. DBD used to run really good (high FPS) on the PS4 Pro in 2019-2021 until the Resident Evil update.
I thought that RE Era was going to kill console dbd lol I never thought I'd see the day where console survivors are allowed to use Exhaustion perks
-
This ain't league of legends
-
Greenville is rather dense with pallets but a lot of them are unsafe, and quite frankly, amidst all the gens your team doesn't want you around.
Ideally you want to loop your way to the theater but no killer chases there

100% but generally the point of the thread is i wish people would stop defending broken perks.
I feel like dbd players are addicted to powercreep.
Survivor perks have to be cheeks if WoO can be considered powercreep.
Power creep is what release CoH, Made for This and old new Boil Over. Insinuating that WoO is even in the same league as these perks, if anything proves to me how tame the survivor meta must be if that perk is what's being complained about.
-
Slinger seems like the perfect support character
-
If it's not the killer, its the perks. If its not the perks its the map. If it's not the map, it's RRNG.if it's not rng, it's the survivors.
Blame can always bring cast If you maintain a limited perspective however many people play both sides and even enjoy watching twitch vods of people they played with watching twitch helps you look at your own gameplay and that of everyone else's more objectively and helps you go "yeah I sure messed up there eh"
There are other ways to be evil than tunneling, anyway. I personally love hooking all the survivors once ad Cenobite and watch them all scream under Plaything+Face the Darkness technically I should be a saint, gentleman and scholar all things considered :p
-
Woo, Distortion and Exhaustion that's almost a Bingo!
-
I like Weave Attunement better than Nowhere to Hide on the survivor side at least Weave has the courtesy to announce itself
-
I very rarely play Trickster as I play on Xbox but yeah this rework just killed him. He was a nice change of pace just huckin knives but with him being 115 what's the point
-
My survivor games have been tough. I've just been making my own fun by making killers have to work for the 4k with OoO+ Scene Partner. Spoiler:Tbagging a Vecna through Weave Attunement tends to end terribly if you have a Vecna Item :p
Killers been OK just chillin with Chucky lots of 1st down disconnects though I feel bad for the survivors
-
@scoser said:
If anything, Distortion needs more charges to deal with the current permanent map hack of Weave Attunement. And before you say "just have your team move dropped items to the corner of the map", that would necessitate solo queue players actually knowing how that perk works, which is impossible, so I end up having to be an Amazon delivery driver for about 2 minutes every match that Weave Attunement is in so we don't get slaughtered.
If reading perks at the end of a match is asking too much then this community has just regressed too much.
All survivors used to hop in lockers to dodge BBQ once upon a time…

This reminds me of the old "Spirit has a ton of counterplay, you just have to guess better!"
A cat could unplug your controller and Survivors would die because of it.

1v1 me snipers only shipment noob
if you stand in a specific spot in one of the shipping crates your opponent can only spawn in 2 places, both of which were in your LoS lol I remember being a twitchy Lil 15 year old playing whack a mole spawn camping people....fun times.
The only time I 1v1 in DBD is when I play Skull Merchant then it's 1v1 city. I've even met a couple duos who willingly take turns and let the game end that way, nice sports they were
-
When I get home from work I'd like to play Legion as well using BFFs and make them super speed in the off chance we get the Haste modifier but I'm sure I'll get rushed with that build but thats alright
-
OP, we had a winter event where snowmen were overpowered for survivor. How come you never mentioned that event?
-
Really happy we weren't left to hang until Monday, cheers
-
I'm honestly tired of hearing killers go on meltdown mode because their 1 aura got countered. I don't need to listen to nonsense about how it's in my best interest to have this perk nerfed for my own benefit as a Survivor lol
Like, OK maybe sometimes I end up with 0 hooks and 3 of my mates have 2. Guess what, same thing happens If you take Scene Partner and Resilience killers just give up on the chase it's the same effect in the end.
-
Dead by Daylight players ruin Dead by Daylight for other Dead by Daylight players there's nothing survivor specific about that

People are still saying this in 2024? Do you have any clue how successful BHVR is now?
It's a meme that predates Dbd I'm pretty sure. Originally its a reference to Riot Games. It's what's typically referred to as a joke. It is something that makes some humans exhale carbon dioxide from their nostrils.
-
We have to remember that this small indie company runs on BHVR time so we'll probably be good to go by Monday....
I pray I'm wrong, though

Nobody runs gearhead or darkness revealed. If floods and lethal to be charitable are the only aura perks in play you're never going to run out of tokens. If you are chased by the killer at any time or exist near the killer at any time it's more than enough to replenish the tokens used. I have no idea what using a perk "like a bot" means. If dude is kicking a gen to try and find someone like a bot then a survivor is sitting around having distortion activate like a bot. It doesn't mean anything. A hollow insult.
It's the only perk that hard counters every aura perk in the game. Even if there were other options there'd be no other reason to pick them because distortion negates aura reading entirely. Any other theoretical perk would have to have a hell of a powerful effect to make it a tempting alternative.
Well, I do. Gearhead has been pairing rather well for me alongside Weave Attunement for chewing Distortion stacks.

As far as I know, if you are on each other's friends list, you cannot be matched by any means if both are in a different role. You can still queue up together as Survivor, though, by inviting each other into the lobby. You'd have to unfriend each other and just hope for the best. But the odds of that happening are probably extremely low.
So I should delete all my friends then, since those are all people who made my games a bit better. And I should try adding people I don't like? Odd system

So 4K with survivors getting at most 6k and the killer over 30k yes let’s help them. Are you serious?
You still earn more cakes by using them than if you hoard them out of spite.

Thank you for clarifying this! I appreciate you.
I'm a little embarrassed to admit it but I used this perk for a couple months without realizing this, I even jokingly gave my friends trouble for stealing my Obsession status. I think the perk is worded in a slightly confusing way
-
@Krazzik said:
If you're gonna run Weaving Spiders you should ALWAYS run Resilience. You're gonna be perma-injured anyway.
ReSilence and or Iron Will/No Mither tbh, being broke the whole match makes you too easy against some killers like Blight I find you 100% need the noise suppression from IW just so you can be in some proximity to the killer without instantly exploding
-
I'm getting some Wojak vibes off this

Because they are your perks, not your teammates. If they want to reap the benefits of another survivors perks, they need to help that survivor survive.
I can understand where OP is coming from though; I can take Flashbang, drop on om the ground and die and you can just pick it up and use my perk

Object of obsession does not work for you if you’re not the obsession. We can’t have 4 obsessions in one match at the same time remember.
If everyone in your SWF runs the perk only one of you will actually benefit at a time. Meaning the rest of you are still visible to the killer but you can’t see them.
Only the Obsrssion can see the killers aura every 30 seconds, however any instance of the killer revealing your aura will reveal the killers aura.
Only the Obsession can keep tabs on the killer but any Object user can call out Lethal/Bloodwarden etc.

Technically speaking borrowed time now a days is underrated since it’s virtually never used anymore
You’ll almost always see killers try to wait out the default timer but oh wait it was extended!
Words cannot describe the ecstasy of having multiple survivors watch a Deathslinger instashoot somebody off hook, count to 10 and eat a big fat endurance.
-
I never run Cenobites Engineers Feng without a gameplan. It's OK sometimes if I want easy Face the Darkness value but mindlessly using it is pretty rough as it frontloads your chase power to the Healthy stage which can be OK for dealing damage but securing downs against aware, safe survivors is a nightmare.
You have the power to inflict pain and suffering but no means to end things. Not the worst iri, but it's Rapid Brutality tier if it sneaks into your build
-
You can be the world's best pro elite mlg comp Doctor player and get matched with4 immersed calm spirit gamers. That to me suggests the game isnt meant to be taken super cereal

Honestly I’m already expecting it and I keep getting 5-6 matches in a row with killers running this combo. I also take into account that the anniversary starts ON rank reset day so the first few days of the event are going to be frustrating to play, and I honestly may just hold off a few days.
Having said that, here’s my take: Run Object of obsession, plunderers instinct and appraisal. Take an item into the match and be a loot goblin. The more items you place around the map, the more aura reading you have, especially at loop points. Yes the killer can infinitely see you, but you can also see them. Obviously you cannot run a full SWF with this build as only one of you can be the obsession, but if you’re playing solo, give yourself the edge if you can, especially if you’re not a strong looper.
Whats good for the goose…
Wow, that's an amazing idea, friend. You can run this in SWF, sometimes it's better to not be the Obsession the perk still works anyway if your aura is revealed you just don't get the 30 second aura intervals
Now,how to convince my friends to swap Distortion for Object xD

@ReverseVelocity said:
Hey, more Franklin's + Weave Attunement means more Object value :D

There's nothing to discuss.
Vecna's Mage Hand is an issue, it's being addressed. That's it.
I'm sure it is a problem to a degree, but how much is hard to say seeing as people refuse to stop mindlessly camping pallets or anticipate Mage Hand usage.
I don't see how it's much different than the vault mindgame with huntress or running into a Bubba randomly. In both those cases you just die.

Couldn't care less about Pop. Jolt Surge is all I need.

ive been seeing a ton of distortion. So far, the build that I'm approaching 50 wins with has been Weave Franklin's Surge Gearhead.
Gearhead has been rather nice for chewing through those Distortion stacks. Gets em eventually.
