Hello. Recently I decided I wanna learn Blight and I've been having a blast. However there are certain maps in which the collision is either non existent or too strict. I only have about 20h of gameplay with him so I'm still learning how to work around these things.
In my opinion, Red Forest maps have the worst collision out of all maps, with trees and rocks being entirely slippery and random "dents" in walls that make it impossible for me to efficiently hug tech for exemple. Is there a de facto worst map for Blight out there? I haven't played in all realms yet due to my short playtime.

When I say the game is killer sided, I mean specifically at average levels of play. Average kill rates are 53% according to nightlight, meaning killers have a 6 percentage point advantage over survivors on average.
That's great, IMO. As a survivor player I'd even prefer slightly more killer buffs to make escapes slightly more difficult - I like playing the underdog role, which solo queue survivor certainly is, and if the devs want to get back to the ~60% kill rate they've previously stated as their ideal, I have no objections. IMO the ideal DBD is one that is slightly-to-moderately killer sided.
I'll admit, at the absolute top level, with players making the fewest mistakes a player can reasonably be expected to make, the game is survivor sided, where most matches where the survivors are truly sweating they'll win, barring some very specific killer- and map-specific circumstances. Unfortunately it'd be impossible to balance the game for that without making the game unacceptably killer-sided in the average (think 90% kill rates or higher), but there's only a couple dozen survivor players capable of that level of play, so in a game with something like 100k daily players it's acceptable to balance primarily for everyone else.
thank you for not being toxic about it

Jason is a commonly fantasized about character to join the cast of DBD, myself included. He's always been my favourite old school slasher killer, and assuming any legal issues or problems with a mutual agreement were ironed out, it would be great to see him in the cast.
Fan Ramblings:
While he is often compared to Myers (and there are undeniable similarities), to me the F13 films have always felt quite different. Myers relentlessly pursues, in a number of cases without significant deviation, and almost disregards his safety to instead focus on making each kill as intimate and sadistically fulfilling as possible (to watch the light drain from their eyes). Jason meanwhile, despite being seemingly more durable and able to tank harder hits than Michael, seems to prefer to strike undetected, and aims to kill as efficiently as possible. He almost never reveals himself until the last possible moment unless absolutely necessary, and regularly drops from sight to surprise his target from different angles with an uncanny ability to predict his victims movements. When he catches his victims, each kill is typically as swift and efficieint as the are brutal.
His powers/abilities grew considerably as the series progressed, but the general traits at base were already there, but got signficantly more pronounced and exaggerated as the series went on. Jason is essentially to my mind an undying spirit of venegeance. He's a child-like mind contained in a body that won't die, spurred to kill by the vengeful memory of his mother Pamela Voorhees.
His traits and abilities are commonly agreed to be thus: -
- Superhuman Strength (grew progressively over the series)
- Pain Resistance/Durability (grew progressively over the series)
- Tactile and Stealthy (never really changed, he has always been able to track/predict victims easily and strike stealthily/pursue undetected at substantial speed)
- Ingenuitive (adapts to and uses the environment and any weapons he can find extremely effectively)
To add a reference:
https://fridaythe13th.fandom.com/wiki/Jason_Voorhees#Powers_and_Abilities
While I've not been a fan of every movie in the series, one thing that always consistently stuck out to me from the F13 franchise was the sheer variety of methods Jason uses for his kills. The versatility and rapidly changing abilities through the series makes Jason a hard nut a crack in terms of defining a power.
With these traits in mind, what kind of power/ideas would you like to see for Jason?
some form of teleport or blight like speed boost bet he cant attack and goes further and faster

Imagine the perks!
Hex: Bad CG: Even the entity could not comprehend the Eldritch Horror that was the album cover for Dance of Death, so it now seeks to confuse the Survivor by giving them bodies and minds equally warped. 1/3 Skill checks are Doctor Reverse Skill checks. 1/3 Skill checks are Doctor displaced Skill checks. 1/3 Fast (and Medium) vaults in chase cause the controls to be mixed up for 2s (WASD are randomized, controller stick is rotated 1/4 turn or half turn or 3/4 turn). Occasionally a midget not quite properly standing on a Wolf will appear as if a Doctor phantasm.
ima run that as doctor with plaything and pentimento

I personally just like it how it is. It can be on the bigger side for maps but the loops (which is mostly what I am interested in) are balanced really well for both sides.
for me the loops never get used they are just there

Long story short.. hiding survivors.. the most boring players in dead by daylight.
they hear just the beginning of the heartbeat when you still 30 meters away and they already start walking and hiding somewhere..
killer is already boring for me and when i play killer and get that type of players it just takes away all my fun
and from now on im just gonna camp when i catch someone because there is no way at getting these babies out of their hiding spot.. seriously whats the point at going to the gen if they gonna hide anyways?
either i play boring too or just have a unfun boring game, or even better i just quit entirely with killer its not fun anyways i guess.
and these type of players are not only in my Killer games.
unpopular statement ; i love toxic survivors, chase hungry survivors.. atleast they dont make the game boring and you are constantly in a chase.. god i love you guys so much seriously.
i love all survivors but the scaredy cats that always hide
-
no bc what if the killer does not camp

they said 'slugging is not punishable' over and over and over 💀
its not slugging they are talking about the surv teammate tried to get him killed

Really I just want to get good with flicks. I play on max sensitivity by default for the longest, and trying to git gud at 90s is a PiTA. You def gotta humble yourself and accept some small defeats before walking the path of a true demon.
dont just focus on his power go for his adept until you get it

It seems like anytime I play Killer, I just get the maps that are the worst possible thing for my Killer.
Want to do Artist's Archives? Multi-level maps. Goodluck trying to hit things.
Want to play Singularity? I get nothing by Tobba Landing and Lery's Memorial.
Want to play an M1 Killer? Garden of Joy, The Game, Decimated Borgo, nothing but those maps over and over.
Part of me thinks the game just hates me.
the game just does that to hurt you emotionally

Most players do not have close to every perk available. Just the veterans mostly, and those are usually in the higher MMR area who make up a small portion of the playerbase in general.
true i just need to find people as a killer which is the hard part the chase is easy

There's no way there could be two Nemesis killers because the game cannot run a third Zombie, let alone four of them.
i wanna see it tho

Okay, so I'm playing Nurse, and I caught a survivor body blocking another in a doorway. I proceeded to blink through them, go after the sandbagger, down them and camp them out of the match.
If the douche clipped me nodding at the other survivor as they left them to die, could that be reportable as working with the other side?
It's just something that crossed my mind after.

Double the map size , two killers , 8 survivors and 14 gens (10 to complete).
As stated in the title which killer duos would be something you would not wish to face and on which map most ?
Which two would have the worst synergy ?
Which two would make the game very funny ?
Post your opinions below.
Trapper and Hag on MacMillan would be a minefield :P , two blights on Midwich would be the train hallways .
would 2 nemesis have 4 zombies?
if not 1 nemesis, and 1 wesker or 1 turkey, and 1 nightmare or 2 ghostface or 2 shapes.
anyways this would be the only gamemode i play on for a while

hes just not good in modern dbd. maps have crazy amounts of clutter, loops are tighter and have dumb hitboxes, and outside of extrememly specific and risky curves, anything less then a god level billy player will just have no chase power with inconsistent map mobility. Thats excluding overheat.

@AmpersandUnderscore said:
The easier solution is to match the hook timer to gen speeds. So instead of 60 seconds per hook stage it becomes 90, and when BHVR inevitably changes gens again the hook stage goes up again with it.
That alone automatically makes camping (and also tunneling in some cases) less efficient.
Reducing the efficiency of the play style is all that needs to happen. Players who want to win will stop camping on their own if it stopped winning games for them.
yes we should do that im in all favor for that make a poll for it
-
@cburton311 said:
Someone explain to me this fix. How does letting the hooked survivor jump of the hook deliverance style fix anything. Won't the killers just redown and rehook the person getting them another hookstate even faster?
This solution seem far too complicated with new ui elements, features that turn off at egc, and marginal additional fun for everyone.
Why not use the same killer proximity to hook rules to give a gen speed boost? This would hasten gen speeds which is already the correct play for survivors when facing a camper. Additionally, it naturally turns itself off at egc without complicated explanations. So simple AND effective
Edit: additionally, the camping problem was made worse by its increase in effectiveness when generator times increased. Clearly, speeding up generators could fix that.

Please share some of your DC Bot experiences.

As per the new Dev Update, Macmillan is receiving a change so that all current maps are getting a second version.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/CR5T5UU33OMP/image.png
To me, this reads as similar to Badham (I-V) and RPD (East and West). My question- did we really need 2 versions of every Macmillan map, for a total of 10? Unless I'm reading this wrong, it means that we'll have double chances for Coal Tower, Suffocation Pit, Storehouse, Shelter Woods (oh god), and Ironwords, for a grand total of 10.
Seems just a bit extra to me.
its the same chance bc it doubles all the maps not just those ones

@CountOfTheFog said:
In all fairness, they do. As someone who is getting more into killer, please hear me out.
Survivors have the same Bloodweb, Survivors are just skins. Killer mains who play multiple killers have to make more difficult decisions on who to invest in.
I propose no changes to the cost of Green, Purple nor Pink add-ons. I do want to see Brown and Yellow add-ons reduced to save the killer some BP and make it hurt less having to spend BP on garbage just to get to what you want in the Bloodweb.
Before anyone yells at me, I mostly play Survivor during the day because of matchmaking incentives and it's more fun. I play about 3 or 4 killer games a day at night.
i feel like thats not a very good idea i say just lower all the cost if we are doing that but then again you can test out a survivors perks or a killers perks in custom but you dont get to test a killers power which you should be able to do

im already not in this situation ever but if i was i would run past them then run to check a gen
