You posted 4 matches and 2 of them are 4man escapes and 1 is a 1k. Then complained why you don't see some of the worst killers in the game. What point are you trying to make here?

The nurse player is playing to win. Don't blame the player blame the game. Man even said it was nothing personal.

Indeed, to say that "good killers don't camp" is to mix several things 😁
A player can be deadly efficient while playing in a dirty way, with a really abused build (hello, Supaalf); so, for the time being: efficient =/= cool.
A killer can totally camp / tunnel for a very good reason 😉
For example, if a survivor is way too greedy, being a smartass, taunting the killer ... he can only blame himself if the killer decides to teach him a lesson and he succeeds 😁
And of course, there are all the situations where the killer will have to put more pressure, in order to prevent the survivors from snowballing him 😙
I don't know if you can say that "good killers don't camp," but on the other hand, I would agree more with saying, "A killer who camps and tunnels in a hardway from the start is a ******"
PS : I don't take into account tournaments, where the only goal is to win, no matter what, I'm only talking about public games 😋
"A killer who camps and tunnels in a hardway from the start is a ******"
Why does it matter when a player starts trying to win? Should they only start playing to win after they've lost 4 gens? Playing to win the game doesn't make you an #########.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5-iJUuPWis -
Watch any video of tournament nurses. They still camp. It's the best strategy in the game. Tunnel and or camp someone out of the game then play the 3 gen 3v1.
"Good players don't camp" is the biggest scam you've been sold about this game.
-
Add voice chat to the game full stop. Not proxy chat, I'm talking in game voice chat for survivors. Make it opt in by default. After that anyone willfully choosing not to use callouts and communication with their team is on them. Balance the maps next and take the game from there.
Anything less is just a band aid fix.

Yeah that would be my question. The 1v4 would create problems, imo
Ez. One side gets to ban maps from a randomly selected list, then the other gets to pick from what's left. That's basically what they do for picking maps in Smash tourneys. Which side gets to ban and which side gets to pick is up for debate.
-
Why shouldn't you play to win at any point in the match? What difference does it make when a killer does it at 5 gens or 1 gen? Is the killer only allowed to play smart after they've lost 80% of the match?
-
I definitely am in the camp that his add on to break pallets and walls should be basekit. Same as demo.

Friend, we're gonna need some more constructive feedback than that if you want any chance of it being addressed. Eat less toenails is not enough to go on.
Have some constructive feedback. Wesker's power feels really hard to use on loops because you still catch your toe on objects you can't see and jagged edges on loops make him have to adjust so wide that it becomes impossible to use it. Examples are some of the crate loops on swamp and the RPD reception desk. There's also a lot of painful glitches running around like slamming into chests and pallets canceling your grab and letting the survivor run off. Slamming into certain walls and objects also causes this. Sometimes a weird angle produces the effect and other time like the outside walls on RPD I slammed a survivor perpendicular to the wall and they just ran off while I ate the recovery.
Also the the newly added feature where he can damage survivors on the other side of windows/pallet vaults is extremely short range which doesn't feel great since it'll only hit a survivor if they're hugging the vault. It also doesn't work at all if the survivor is standing still no matter how close they are to the vault.
-
You can use dead hard on every survivor. I can't play nurse if I'm playing pig.
-
My guess is that someone at BHVR had to do something for work so they spent their time making a solution for a problem that didn't exist. And they can't admit they're wrong and they already spent so much time working on it so it would be a waste to not use it. That's called sunk cost fallacy.

Ethan's face has never been hidden before. He's always had a fully detailed face. I wouldn't take that as a sign for anything.

Hug tech is confirmed as bug and it is gonna fix. Not nerf, "FIX".
Blight is still strong killer with good base-kit & insane add-ons.
Good Blights never needed hug tech anyway.

Removing an Exploit (Hug Tech) will not bump Blight down at all. He does not need it to be a strong Killer.
And Nurse does not need any Add Ons to be a strong Killer. (She is my go-to when I just want to farm BPs, because I have 0 investment when playing her)
You're in a thread about someone complaining they versed the same killer 3 times in a row while defending an objective negative change (nerf) to the one killer that competed with her. Do you not see the irony?
-
Blight has been confirmed for a fix (nerf). Expect more nurses in the time to come. This is the game you signed up for.
-
I personally hate that some killers are arbitrarily locked out from their powers when near hooks. It becomes especially awful and extremely detrimental when you're playing on a map with multiple floors.
-
SB can't be used on reaction to nurse teleports and blight rushes, SB can't be used to pass through hatchets, death slinger harpoons, and trickster knives. SB doesn't cause Victor to eat ######### and get kicked, Sprint burst doesn't let you run over traps, etc.
Sprint burst doesn't invalidate killers using their powers or outsmarting survivors like dead hard does. Dead hard for distance is just one part of the puzzle that makes it infuriating to play against.
-
I wish they never added boons so much. For years people have said killers have too much to deal with and survivors need a secondary objective and what we got was even more ######### to make killers deal with while also breaking the game in the form of CoH.
-
@neb said:
Quick question, but why are so many things to survivors "techs". They aren't even that hard to pull off, why do we slap on this word to make it sound like some super complex crap when it isn't lmao.
Because survivor one of the most mechanically simple things I've seen in a game. The game is 99% holding W/forward or M1/whatever console is. People take what they can get.

Healing is an intended mechanic in the game. Spamming the cage thing is not.
Healing to prevent a killer from picking up survivors because it disables the input to pick them up isn't an intended mechanic.

But he was using an exploit which prevented me to either crawl or recover. How is this fair?
It's no more an exploit than survivors healing downed team mates at the exit gate to prevent the killer from picking them up.
-
Make grabs work. Make grabs work at anytime as long as you're colliding with the survivor. So no more bt body blocking, no more hook standoffs, no more survivors trading hits by running directly into the killer.

So removing I-frames would fix that, right?
And it would have counterplay.
Yes. You wouldn't be able to dead hard over traps forcing trapper into terrible lose lose situations, give yourself a 3rd health state on reaction to blight, victor, nurse, huntress, etc. No more dead harding into hooked survivors to give yourself enough time to unhook them without trading.
Dead harding for distance is obnoxious especially when you're playing an m1 killer but that's a bigger problem with the design of m1 killers and looping as a whole rather than dead hard. Dead harding for invincibility gives it a million different utility uses that ends up being the answer to everything in the game so hard people just expect dead hard on every survivor at all times now which is why killers never lunge unless they have no other choice or they're absolutely sure a survivor doesn't have DH.

How do you counter other exhaustion perks?
Except head-on, that is clear if you know about it, but SB, Lithe, Balance landing, Overcome etc. they are just perks to gain time.
If you would want to remove distance and keep i-frames, then you would have to buff a duration quite a lot and it would be just super annoying, you would also not be able to tell if he activated it or not...
All other exhaustion perks can be countered by powers despite gaining distance. Blight can keep up, huntress, death slinger, trickster can all hit at range, nurse can keep up, trapper can herd survivors into traps on the other side of vaults/at the bottom of drops for balanced, twins can go for skill shots on fast moving survivors, etc etc.
There's tons of powers that can keep up with the speed from exhaustion perks if the killer is good but dead hard giving invincibility negates all that.
-
Moris we're nerfed into uselessness in a random patch after twins. Keys for a while ptb month long warning a year after the mori nerf. And there wasn't any crazy key rework that completely changed their mechanics like people said it was going to be.
-
They're not going to fix them. God windows have been a major problem since the game's design. Right before realm beyond they were fixing them but then decided to revert the changes and add breakable walls instead.
The new artist map is probably the worst offender I've ever seen about God windows. They main building can link directly into another window. Like 5 feet from each other in a straight line will be two god windows.

insidious also doesn’t work against Kindred. This is a better argument to make kindred basekit than it is an argument against SWF.
and most survivors don’t like to face hard campers or even hard tunnelers. Should killers now get labeled as such in lobby if they tend to use these strategy’s?
Kindred costs a perk, swf does not. You can already see if someone has kindred but there are several cases where you can't know if someone is in a swf.
"and most survivors don’t like to face hard campers or even hard tunnelers. Should killers now get labeled as such in lobby if they tend to use these strategy’s?"
You're looking at the symptom of a disease and getting mad at the body for raising its temperature instead of looking to see what's causing the symptom in the first place. Why do players camp and tunnel so much? Why do players not want to face swfs? Why do players not want to face high ping players?
-
@Rizzo said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2701817#Comment_2701817
I don't think seeing who is in a SWF or not is comparable to see if the game is playable or not, a high ping opponent is not great to verse for either side, especially in a game like DBD with so many interactions based on ping and latency.
" is not great to verse for either side"
Most killers do not enjoy facing swfs and many perks do not work against them. Shouldn't a killer have a headsup that their insidious won't work because the person on the hook can just tell their friends they're still there. Or knockout etc.
-
@Rizzo said:
I am of the opinion that all names should be hidden, at least in the lobby, while shown in the score screen.
There's always a chance that people take it personally and start attacking a specific player, Survivor or Killer, however I would like to see the players' ping in the lobby, that's something that could be pretty helpful.
If seeing a player's ping is helpful to decide whether or not I want to play a match or how to play a match shouldn't we be able to see who's in a swf with who?

Ah yes complain because someone is trying to help their team mate. It’s so easy to get around survivors since you are faster, and if not you just hit them and they go to deep wounds.
After that they can be tunnelled or you can go after the other. Complaints about BT are only from tunnellers/campers
This is some 6/10 bait. Could use some improvement but I definitely see some good work here.
-
@Sakurra said:
So you are tunneling or camping and BT is your problem? Then stop tunneling.
Did you even read the post? He's complaining about survivors body blocking with it so he can't go after the unhooker. That is literally the opposite of camping/tunneling.

think you're underestimating long distance shots with the crows, predicting where a survivor will be far away isn't impossible, and huntress mains will have an easy time with it. And the thing is, you don't just get one cross map shot, you get 3. So you can predict where the survivor will run, where they could try to move to avoid the hit and another one just to be safe. In some areas of the maps those 3 shots are an unavoidable hit because of the crows hitbox.
The whole shotgun approach is the most effective way to play her, I've tried playing her crow into 1 crow, or just m1 until crow on loop, but none of these strats helped me nearly as much as the shotgun did. You basically get 3 punishment of the damned from PH but easier to hit.
If you use the festering crow and ink tar (i think thats what they're called) addons which are yellow and brown, you get enough cooldown reduction to be able to hit the shotgun even if survivors start to repel the crows inmediatly (which is what they should be doing)
You can also just jump into a locker to instantly repel crows.

It's pretty hard to avoid being hit if you're not in a very open position and she throws 3 crows at your general location, in some cases you can't move quick enough to avoid them, unless it's a big map and she's on the other side where it gives you a lot of time to react
You always get a ton of time to react. You get two audio cues, flight time, then 5 seconds for her power to recharge, then two more audio cues minimum again.
There's so much ######### warning survivors get and they can know exactly what's going to happen next. Again, if survivors are getting hit twice by crows in a cross map situation it is entirely their fault for being bad not the killer being good.

Holding W is more of an issue with the game and map design rather than her tbh, most of killer powers are countered by holding W. At least with her you can down people from the other side of the map and have a lot of info
If you're getting cross map downs it's not because you or the killer is good it's the survivors being bad. You get a map wide audio cue when she summons birds, when she launches birds, and she has to hit you twice. Survivors have all the time and warning in the world to not get hit cross map.

Even if it takes using third party software to do it?
You don't need any 3rd party software to do flicks, hug tech, or scoot and slides (which have specifically been called out by McClean before he left the company as intended). The only thing that REQUIRES a 3rd party program to perform on blight is lag flicks.

I think this video explains what I'm talking about better.
I am pleasantly surprised he mentioned Blight and dead hard. Before people who mindlessly used their dead hard in the same direction as your lunge or into corners would get hit if you held the lunge out because blight's lethal rush hitbox lingers. I've had several times now where someone who misused a dead hard against my lethal rush gets away with it because validation stops the lunge.
-
I don't care whether my MMR is high or low. But losing for me is 100% a bad time. High MMR DBD sucks, plain and simple. It's really not fun for killer and I don't think most survivors enjoy it either. I enjoy winning, but I do not enjoy going against 4 man swf meta squads or hackers which plague high mmr and which you will get to if you are winning as killer.
-
When you dead hard against blight or nurse it is 100% fixing your mistake.

The only time I had "easy" 4ks was the old rank reset, and even after getting to red ranks I wasn't needing to try my hardest to get 2 kills. I averaged 2-4 kills back then easily on most killers, gen regression perks weren't needed as much as they are now.
Also that second part of your comment, It's sad to see that you think survivors are these defenseless little babies that need their hands held in the spooky scary game. "Chances" HA, survivors have it FAR easier than killer.

On high tier killers. it ain't so much the dh thing...
Now lets talk about the walking m1 killers... the ones that Have to pallet loop with survivors.. they don't even stand remotely a chance against even High Mmr survivors..
Dh is Really powerful and people don't even realize it,
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2567126#Comment_2567126
Not all Second chance perks...
You can't really outplay Dh if they wanna use it for distance and get to another pallet loop..
You can't really outplay the Ds / Unbreak together without eating one.. or the other,
You need to make sure as killer you'll get a chase in less than 15-20 seconds, otherwise bruteforce it and try again on a diff survivor..
At High Mmr it's quite....Brutal to say the least
Edit: And to SleepyWillo. sure you can Not camp Tunnel or Slug, but you will when it involves a whole ass Sweat Game..
Dead Hard also works incredibly well and consistently against 2/3 top killers. You can dead hard into blight/nurse on reaction to avoid hits. Blight can sometimes bait it out with extra rushes but if the survivor dead hards into a spot where another rush wont reach or if blight is out of rushes it doesn't matter still.
-
No one wants to be high mmr. It sucks. But losing also sucks. I don't play games I bought so I can lose on purpose and entertain someone else.
-
If people think you shouldn't see swf before the game because killers would dodge, don't you think there might be a big problem with swf in the game?
-

Wouldn't long killer queues suggest that the shortage is on the survivor side, not killer?
There's something else going on with the matchmaking. The day before I was getting match making times of a few seconds. Since mmr day 1 my times have gone up to as high as 10 minutes and low as a few minutes.

Every killer should have blight level add ons instead of ######### like mother's helpers ptb version or not. They're almost all good, useful, allow for new ways to play without gimping yourself. And then they can still have a couple dumb meme add ons like burger king blight.

People that cheat and/or hack in the game do get banned, however, if you do encounter them in the game, the usual method is to record it so you can send the additional video evidence to support in a ticket with all the other information they ask to be provided. An in-game report is mandatory at all times though, without one, there is not much that can be done.
You also need to keep in mind that many people play the game and thus report people too, so there are many reports daily the team handling those goes through.
Everytime I've faced obvious hackers they either changed my ui so I couldn't report them post game or crashed my game so I couldn't. The in game system isn't reliable against hackers at all.
