You already have more power. Most matches I play end with at least 2 and often 3,4 kills. I'd say it's balanced.
-
I agree but then everyone will start using SWF excuse
-
Customization system from APB:R
-
They said that population might be an issue but it doesn't need to be. They could mix new game mode with the old one and it would all start from the same lobby. I've played a dead game with 500 players online and I had no problem at all with waitnig for the match. It's all about sane match making.
-
I can't figure out the timing anymore. Ping is mindfuking me hard.
-
I always feel like I won when I get face camped. It means I was hard to get and that most likely everyone else will escape.

I thought skill check success was random because I always blew up gens. I had no idea skill checks had a success zone. I thought as long as I pressed my button with the skill check on the screen I was good.
I didn't think that killer gets allerted and I was yelling fml and my luck

In all my time playing, there's only one match I can recall where all 5 players brought BPS.
And I brought insane TR Doctor to the match, so I almost hit the 224k mark. May have been around 210 - 215 or something like that.
I remember just one when 4 players brought BPS and killer camped every single one of us 😂
Since that day I just don't put BPS no matter who will ask.
-
Nothing will beat a hook and straight tunnel in a dead zone for me.
I think that struggling is a leftover from times when they thought that this game is actually scary.
-
Sodom? Well they could start selling underwear in the cash shop. I'm sure they would get rich and it would be healther than DLCs with OP perks.
-
I thought that I have to try to kobe, that my luck sucks because I was always getting into struggle phase and it didn't cross my mind that people can unhook others.

@ShirtlessDwight Agreed 100%. I want a cute, small male survivor.
I want just a regular guy but at least we agree on size 😂
-
And rank 15s are still dying like in ebola outbreak. Maybe it has something to do with derankers and smurfs that got game on sale on alt accounts tho.
-
Nope. I got all that I need

I just wanted but he d/c and disappeared.

@ShirtlessDwight Does this mean you have Wellmakeitophobia and Selfcareophobia?
Nope because they don't work in a hospital
-
What if we would get male survivor with height of DBD females? Am I the only one feeling that males are really at size disadvantage? No innuendos intended here.
-
wait for dedicated
sewersservers I mean -
I was saying it in literally every lobby but I gave up because everyone will do what he wants. She is ez to loop, her M1 has short range, as long as I can keep the distance I don't mind being injured. It's pretty annoying when people use pools but I don't think that anything will change unless this will become twitch/yt meta.
-
I can take a break from playing but I can't fall asleep without watching funny moments, some gameplay or stream. I blame yt for not suggesting me anything better.

No i don't think alerts need to go, but the abusive control does need to be addressed. While alerts are necessary for killers they should never become a hinderance in that way.
You have to develop a filter in your head and simply ignore those repeating alerts. When I wanna get chased I start with such alert bait and try harder if it doesn't work.
-
You want them to remove any vault/locker/gen alerts?
-
I got hooked twice already while in dying state but not in a dream. I started to think that they ninja buffed Freddy
-
This forum needs LOL button
-
This has been suggested 100 times in past 30 days. They already stated that no new system will be added regarding d/c until after dedicated servers.
-
I am really curious why is this even in game. Killers won't guess if it's SWF anyway because half of the time they will crash with privacy settings wall.
When I have days that I play offensively with flashlight and OoO I usually change my name after every game and switch to flashlight char in last 6 seconds or else I would be either dodged or someone pissed from previous matches would go 5 blinks nurse with mori.
-
I have nursophobia and doctorophobia. Basically healthcareosystemophobia.

That hit will always land before lithe goes off though. Lithe happens after you land. Anything more than that (like a 10 ft gap) is lag, and they cant fix that with animations or hitboxes.
But how could they design a game knowing that most people will have around 100ms or more and create a system that works with imaginary 30ms.
-
@Carpemortum said:
Stop making vaults that you know you keep getting hit while making.
The thing is they shouldn't 5 miles away with Lithe
-
There are d/c during loading screen, d/c mid game and rage quits. Chances are they will fix one more cause of loading bug and wait weeks/months for rest.
-
Happened to me today on PC. I wonder what others have seen because killer didn't have any problems at all with hitting me. I also started the game without no mither and I was one shoted by a trapper lul
-
Yeah people will keep D/C no matter what. Even risking permanent bans. With this potato hitreg it doesn't take much to piss people off.
-
This is how sometimes "visions" end. But I'm more afraid that they don't really have any vision for the game since a long time.
-
You can reward camper whenever he will play a survivor in your team 😂
-
I gave up doing it pretty much for this reason. There can only be one winner per challenge probably and we don't know the rewards. It's like lottery not a challenge.

@ShirtlessDwight, but ask yourself how many new players that enter DbD are going to feel that way about this grind. If Steam numbers outside of a free-weekend or BP Event are an indication, not a lot. The game doesn't exactly show real growth anymore.
DbD is a PvP Game. And while having a Rank system is expected, this type of MMO-style grind isn't. Hell, it even hurts Realm Royale in the BR genre.
Getting good with the characters, then getting really good with the characters, experimenting with loadouts (if it has them, like in Paladins or Realm Royale, for example), climbing the ranks, those are the reasons most people play PvP games.
PvP'ers today aren't playing the genre to grind out massive bloodwebs that are also so heavily controlled by RNG, just to be able to experiment with builds and experience a core part of the DbD PvP aspect.
I like Realm Royale for example, but the class-level grinds in order to unlock needed talent builds is not why I would play a Battle Royale. So, Apex got my money.
I like Overwatch for PvP. Been there since Beta. Zero grind outside of SR grind for Ranked mode. The draw is getting good, then really good, with different Heroes and their unique kits.
DbD has the same draw. Get good with the characters, get good with different loadouts, get good with different tactics . . . except, wait: First you need 1k hours in the game and a lot of bloodweb luck before you can actually do that.
If you're one of those players that get their gaming jollies of on endless RNG grinds, then you're in heaven. But a majority of players who want to PvP? That's not the market. And if you look around at some of the complaints of new players, even at the reddit, it's the asinine grind, plus the RNG involved, before you can truly play the game as its designed, that turns them off.
Probably not many unless they played a lot of korean MMOS like me. I didn't mean to condone the grind only try to rationalize it. I'm not even sure if the grind in DBD is justified by any research or they thought about random values.
I remember pouring almost 1 mil of bps into Adam after hitting lvl 50 to finally see selfcare lvl1.

And while we're on the subject of the grind. What is the point of it? Honestly. What does the grind (specifically for perks, not for add-ons or Moris) do in the context of this game that helps it? Do we stop playing once we have desired perks unlocked? I don't. That would defeat the purpose. I just use them on that killer. We don't pay to play. They don't get any more revenue once we pay for the DLC and unlock the teachable. They aren't tied to cosmetics. They don't seem to regulate the "blood point economy" per se, because I never run without yellow add ons at worst anyway and it never becomes an issue. I'd like to play Myers right now with a build, but I don't want to level Plague to 40, then hope I get 3 more perks on Myers without dumping 10 million bloodpoints in him. I'm actually playing the game less right now because of the grind. I ran into a situation with Freddy where I wanted Spirit Fury, and I literally got every other perk in the game (outside of Plague's) before getting it. Why is that a thing that can happen? Somewhat related, are perk tiers all that necessary? I can see why they would be for a new player just learning the ropes, but tier 1 and 2 perks are utterly pointless beyond rank 15 and nobody runs them by choice.
The purpose of grind is the grind itself. It's like GTA:O. Apart from grind and ranking up there is nothing to strive for in DBD.
-
The biggest 2 bs are the hitboxes of hatchet which is a big ball and survivors which is a chamfered cylinder
-
Cleanse all your totems
-
With DBD's optimization it would probably require 3 Titans to run at 1080p30
-
It's probably not the luckiest but seeing a word about Iron Maiden above I remember one match ending from few weeks ago.
It was a pretty decent and annoying af legion, exit gates opened, someone unhooking me, I get tunneled, mindfucked the ######### out of legion and hid in the locker. I kept hearing heartbeat all around the place and then I see the legion just coming by and going AFK like 10 meters in front of the locker. I assumed that she has iron maiden, waited it out till the AFK crows appeared above me and rushed to the hatch that was not that far away.
Best part of it was that she was some ukraininan streamer. I watched that moment of the stream later. It was a rage AFK when she gave up and watching me getting out of the locker on her stream and then that 2 frame moments of me jumping into the hatch when she was back after me was priceless.
-
What even is TWD? oO
-
How about a mode without any perks at all?
-
Kinda didn't like every addiction. I replaced APB with DBD. That's like going from coke to heroine.
-
You can also play SWF and give hatch to someone :)
-
Happens even when lobby shows 60ms. It looks like hitboxes lag behind the avatar and are still on the other side of the vault when the hit happens. Pathetic.
-
Sorry to burst your bubble but there are teachable perks :)

It's normal. once ppl start playing, they become competitive.
new players will kept turn into competitive players, rest will rage quit/ stopped playing
High rank there is no variety, because devs refused to buff other killers and failed to see why killers like trapper, pig is still bad
it took them almost 1.5 years just to buff Wraith, Hag
now we need to wait 1.5 years for them to buff Leatherface, Freddy
and now we have to wait 1.5 years for rework legion,
when Dedicated server finally comes. a declined of 30% more players is expected, because MLGA will end up dead, and ppl can no longer block killers they dont like cuz they are too good
Devs did absolutely nothing to stop MLGA, and ppl still abuse it till this day since its not bannable
pff and you can still lobby dodge right? To the point that I will get black screen bug and have to reboot the game after getting dodged for 10 times in a row
-
It should be bannable and you should ask yourself a question how many kills would you get if you couldn't cheat.

Indeed. And those exact thoughts have crossed my mind several times already. Especially since there was a post a week or three ago that linked to the deal Behavior made with Starbreeze to purchase DbD in its entirety, and it involved Starbreeze getting a huge chunk of DbD revenue until the purchase price was paid off. In other words, they are paying Starbreeze in installment plans from a majority of their sales revenue.
We can only assume that process is still taking place, since there was never a follow-up that stated they've "completed" the purchase and are finally free-and-clear from Starbreeze and that financial obligation.
So, take those payments to Starbreeze, the lawsuit, and the loss on Deathgarden, and it certainly lowers this consumer's confidence given the ongoing state of DbD.
This is where the makers of Last Year: The Nightmare should be kicking themselves in the ass. While the folks at this forum are die hard fans of DbD, for the average player that isn't and doesn't visit here, Last Year could have tried to grab them. Instead, they chose to launch on the Discord platform first instead of Steam. The game has been out for months with no fanfare and absolutely no Twitch presence. And that's what is allowing DbD to really hold on. For this type of survival horror, they're the only real game in town right now.
Last Year could've been a good game but meh. Maybe it's just me but it's too much of a bully simulator. I wonder why no one copycated DBD's mechanic. It's not like anyone can copyright gameplay
