  • I'm having an absolute blast, and it's been a long time since I could say that. If you want the normal stuff, go back to playing on the normal mode. I'm loving goofing off, getting BP and actually having fun. Having a snowball fight mid chase has been hilarious.

  • Thank you ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•

  • @Shaped I was playing on PS4, the other people were cross play so I am unsure what platforms they were using... Although I did play against a cheating console player before cross play was available, it was a Plague with brown add-ons that made you instantly broken.

Where can I post my video for review by BHVR? Or am I out of luck being on console? ๐Ÿ˜ž

In ideal world I would just remove the offerings from the game for the sake of balance for the both sides.

However, If we want to keep them, then I would reduce A LOT the power of them.

    1 map offering = 20% chance

    2 same map offerings = 40% chance

    3 same map offerings = 60% chance

    4 same map offerings = 100% chance

The anti-map offering ward would get buffed that No metter how many offerings are played, it will be always random choice. No extra % for any map.

I agree. And if map offerings were taken away completely, they would need to make sure the map rotation is solid and consistent. I played on Lery's for half my games tonight (no map offerings). And there's another post about some players being stuck on Coldwind almost every single game. I only like map offerings to get out of bad map rotations.

  • It should be changed to a percentage chance to go to the realm that was offered, rather than a guarantee. This applies to both sides. Stealth Killers dropping indoor maps and Survivors dropping a busted map offering is an absolute snore, in my opinion.

Feeling a bit vindicated to see this. All five of my games last night (as a relatively new DBD player) were against teams that were blatantly more experienced than I. I'll tell you, it's not fun being on the killer end of that either!

I'm sorry that happens, I know the feeling and it can be absolutely deflating. It took me forever to not get as tilted as I used to, especially when I am trying to learn a new killer or try a new build and get completely destroyed by really good survivors.

  • I keep getting paired with urban evasion users hiding or people wandering around. Smile you're on Kindred Camera ๐Ÿ™ƒ The Solo experience...It's 12:22 PST here.

Update: last game my team and the killer were farming so I told the killer to hook me to get me out of the game, since I won't DC and everyone is refusing to play. Boring.

  • 1: I get tired of hearing my friends complain about how a killer is playing.

2: Survivor is way too easy with friends.

Overall I wish playing as survivor was harder....It's boring. It's why I prefer playing killer now.

Solo is bad because of matchmaking and lack of map awareness. Having an icon to indicate what others are doing would be a wonderful tool (Not aura readings like kindred, that's a lot of free information, maybe like a little gen icon without knowing which gen they are on).

  • Basement hooks and grabs/interrupts for killer, cooperative healing as survivor.

  • It happened in a lobby of mine too, I'm solo and I loaded in and two players that were Claudettes were dressed in the exact cosmetic that I use on my Claudette, It's mixed cosmetic pieces so I don't think it's a coincidence they were wearing my exact cosmetic. And when we loaded into the match they were both wearing something completely different.

Oh, the reach mutation tier 3 4 times? i've been trashing that one since it takes quite long

Yeah, I've been doing them to try and learn him better, but my game has a seizure everytime I use my ability (I'm on console), and I had like 12 cakes to burn off. They should definitely change his daily to something else, like downing 4 survivors with his ability.

  • I had to play him 4 games for a daily... But I was having fun and he has cakes to share before I prestige him

  • Stealth killers who throw down map offerings. Scratched Mirror Myers is boring to me and I'll gladly throw myself at him to get out as quickly as possible.

  • I've been playing all day and this is by far the worst tunneling and camping I've experienced in a while. I agree they are valid strategies, but it's been overkill.

    Edit: Rank 6

  • I've been leveling up all my survivors today, and most of my blood webs don't even have an event item. Cakes are like non existent ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

  • I played one game against a toxic Bubba, his 1st down DC'd, I had a small chase with him after and he downed me, shook his head at me, and hit me on hook over and over till death, whatever, it happens. He can enjoy his measly 15k he finished the match with. Move on to my next game, was absolutely tunneled to death by a Pyramid Head. Him and I were the only two that offered up cakes... And the reason why I was tunneled was because none of my teammates took any aggro for me. Only one other survivor was hooked because he lost me after a BT hit, had I not had BT I would've been rehooked immediately. My point is...this stuff happens, but we're currently getting a ton of points, so I'm big chilling. Can't get tilted over this kind of stuff. On a normal day I'd go play something else, but the BPs are worth it lol. Farming is absolutely boring, play like normal and you'll get some decent point rewards.

  • This may be just a coincidence, but I'm noticing I'm getting less cakes for my P3 characters than my P2 or P1 characters. I got 10 in like 8 blood webs for Zarina (P2 lvl 35), and 2 in 6 blood webs for Jake (P3 level 10). ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ the drop rates are pretty bad, some blood webs on multiple characters don't even have an event item at all.

  • @theplaggg said:

Chris is the only reason I keep playing. All these lags and frame drops are getting really annoying especially midchase.

    Same ๐Ÿฅฐ

  • I'm on PS4 and besides the bugs and lag, are you guys experiencing your teammates disconnecting for no reason at all? We popped the last gen and 2 of my teammates randomly DC'd at the same time, and it just happened again in another game I played. ๐Ÿค” I am also getting what looks like a bright flash of light too. Happened on multiple maps (The asylum and fractured cowshed).

  • That's awesome! I'm working on P3ing everyone, so far I have:

Nea, Dwight, Claude, Jake, Meg, Feng, Adam, Kate, Jane, Quintin, Yui.

Legion, Doctor, Huntress, Plague and Wraith.

I still have a lot to do, but you know...the grind ๐Ÿ˜…

Good sportsmanship includes all behavior within the rules. That means, by default, those behaviors all fall within good sportsmanship. The only things someone in Dead by Daylight needs to abide by, to be a good sport, are:

    1. Don't cheat, either by hack or lag spike.
    2. Don't disconnect; if you start a game, finish it.
    3. Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.

That's it. That is all you have to do. The things you are talking about are irrelevant to the equation because they are just part of the game. Please do not conflate your personal preferences, morals, or morays with rules.

    Well said.

  • Can we stop telling each other how to play and just play? It's a video game. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

  • I play both sides, and Plague was one of my main killers. She is really buggy to play as right now. She's needs some love, but it's low on the list of things that need to be fixed.

  • Played a match tonight where only 1 survivor had appraisal and plunders, but found 3 keys for their SWF group (no luck offerings). Definitely needs a change, or be removed entirely.

  • Haddonfield. I hate it from both perspectives, and playing as killer tonight it was offered more times than I can count. Gross.

  • I was having this problem last night, and it's worse today. I had 2 hits against injured survivors and they didn't go down, and we all kept teleporting lol the rubber banding is hilariously bad ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • I think in this moment it's even worse because half the killers are bugged and more folks are playing survivor. I was playing survivor tonight (red ranks, solo) and all my lobbies looked like rainbows.

  • I fixed 2 Gens and opened an exit gate and got 16 objective points ๐Ÿ˜‚ I just played a game as doctor, got the correct points just to get none the following game ๐Ÿ˜‚ and to top it off, I'm playing on PS4. I have too much patience ๐Ÿ˜‚ This game is so broken it hurts.

  • I don't have an "in game moment" to share, but... I live in California, and I flew to the east coast a couple of years ago, traveled to 3 different states and met 4 of my best friends, that I met playing this game ๐Ÿ’œ We range in ages, but we have developed a loving bond. It's something I'll always be appreciative for. Thank you DBD for helping form friendships in and out of this game.

  • I just played Deathslinger on Pale Rose and Badham.... It didn't go well lol. I played Wraith earlier and it went back and forth between doable and really bad stuttering. I hope this gets addressed soon, it's just about unplayable at this point. Kudos to any of us trying to play killer on PS4 ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

  • @bm33 said:

On PS4 original with crossplay off. Playing as survivor before this patch I could atleast know what would trigger frame drops. Now though it's just a constant stutter on top of those specific frame drops. Running or even just turning the camera angle too fast makes the stutter even worse. This bad for survivor I can't imagine how bad it is for killer.

It's awful as killer lol ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • My game is stuttering on both killer and survivor trials, on pretty much a brand new PS4 Pro :(

  • Same here, PS4, all maps and all killers I've been using. I have to juggle them to be able to actually hook them. I lose so much time trying to keep pressure up. Also, bloodlust is glitching like crazy, I go into BL 1,2 or 3 and my screen freezes up. I have a brand new PS4 Pro so it's not my console.

  • Agreed! I can't see anything as a Survivor or Killer. Survivor aura's blend in with some of the map's color palettes and unless you're watching the survivor icons, they'll be left to die. As killer the aura's are so light it's disorienting.

  • I agree, I've spent a good amount of money on cosmetics for original characters, and it would be nice to add the crown.

  • I think it's fine the way it is, it's fair because you have the broken status as a compromise, and you have to have a safe unhook as well to be able to activate the perk. I find when I decide to throw it on for a game, I almost 100% of the time don't get to even use it because I don't have the unhook. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I'd say maybe the only thing that could be fixed, is that a survivor can't sit on it for the entire game, maybe it only works for 3 minutes, or something like that.

  • ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—

  • Legion is my main, with a good build you can keep pressure, chase and hook. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

  • This happened to me today!! It's absolutely ridiculous!!

  • I just played a game where the killer disconnected, and at the Scoreboard it says both the killer and I disconnected, and I've been punished with a DC penalty. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me, so far. I'd rather have people disconnect than be stuck with myself being punished for stuff I am not doing intentionally ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ The back and forth on this is obnoxious, and no, people shouldn't disconnect, but some of you need to understand that there are people suffering from things beyond their own control and can't play. My app also crashes a lot, so I haven't been able to play as often as I used to ๐Ÿ˜” such a bummer

*Edit* Just got into 2 more games, and it's had DC issues, something is wrong, at least on PS4. It's a couple minutes after the trial has started too.

  • I lag 99% of the time when I hit blood lust 1, on PS4. As survivor today I was getting hit from far away and would lag when a gen would pop. I understand your frustrations. I haven't played bas killer today to see what's up on the opposite side.

  • Killer: Grimm Pantry and Crotus Prenn (people cling to the main buildings), Temple of Purgation (too big), Both Yamaoka maps (too dark).

Survivor: Red Forrest and Pale Rose (too big)

Why do I have to run a perk to combat toxic playstyles. It's one thing if he slugs and follows up with another chase asap. After I've sat there for half my bleed out timer, I'm ready to be hooked and get to my next game. I dont care about dying or killing. I just want to be able to enjoy the game the game at a casual level.

I do agree with slugging. Slugging is sometimes necessary, and is a good pressure tactic. However, if 2 or more survivors stay slugged for too long, the killer should be penalized. Nothing is worse than being slugged for the entire game, booooooringggg.

  • My personal disagreement with the DC penalty, is that my app consistently crashes on PS4, and I can't find any information online to fix the problem. Now I am being punished for something I'm not intensionally doing, but I also understand it hurts the other 4 people playing with me. People who DC because they are throwing a tantrum should be punished, because it's not fair to everyone else participating in the trial. If a killer wants to sweat for that 4k, they are playing the game as intended- their role is to kill. You can play however you want, you paid for your copy of DBD. If you're regularly playing against sweaty killers, run a nasty survivor build to counter it. At least you get to play, where when people DC it screws the experience for everybody else.

Yeah after a year of playing I ended up doing the same. At first I used to laugh it off but after a awhile it got tiresome. Only once in a blue moon would I recieve a "GG WP" or "Thanks" for letting the last player escape.

When my messages were on, as survivor I would receive compliments, (only one instance I received hate, from 2 SWF who didn't appreciate me getting them up off the ground for whatever reason, this was like a year ago) I typically play very rounded, sometimes getting compliments from killers too. I do miss that, and I miss complimenting killers or survivors who've turned off their messages when I wanted to give praise. Playing as Killer... the hate..., not because I'm "toxic" or "face camp", it's because maybe the match didn't end on their terms with them winning, or because of hit box issues, or my favorite of the hate was while playing Legion, the mending was "annoying". It's unfortunate the negative outweigh the positive so I keep my messages off.
