Remember to two hook, and leave the hook so they're more likely to get unhooked unless you get people bming them in front of you which happens often regardless the side I'm on currently lol. Then at two hooks, tunneling each adequately making them FEEL singled-out to make them more miserable and make certain they know you want them to not be able to enjoy playing the game... then leave them slugged out. Follow them, down them again or their heroes to change places instead (if all escape you win because you LOST mmr and still made them suffer, you were completely in control the entire game so do not sweat it it's not about conventional winning it's about the REAL win against the user not the game). Let that occur one by one, adjusting your perks as you feel the need to keep up with the teams you're seeing that time of day. And just rake in the emotional rewards from it. You are literally siphoning their souls, juicy bit by juicy bit, learn to savor it. They wanted change, they got it.
You're supposed to make them suffer, and devs have said on a live old twitch stream flatout at least ONE person per match is SUPPOSED to leave it feeling frustrated, that's the way this cookie is designed toc rumble. Make sure, as before when solo was still playable even if you had to be a right c**t about it to make it through, that YOU are usually not the one left feeling like they'd been cheated out of their time in the match when it's over. Embrace the game's cruel design, and it will remain enjoyable. Just stop trying to play to win if you're not in SWF, killers learned that the hard way and now survivors have to learn it the hard way. The way you truly win is if you're the least miserable user after it's over with, bonus points for making others notably miserable. if that's not the way you wanna play a game, then play Evil Dead since even when you lose it's usually at least a Little bit of fun compared to this. This game isn't about your fun, it's about everybody else's unfun. That's the secret sauce.
"be careful what you wish for, you may get it."

Distortion and even sole survivor need to also work to block bond and empathy so the survivors I'm waiting to die so I can camp the gate to get out of the elo hell i descended into yesterday won't be able to make me have to keep running around the map using empathy just to avoid them trying to drop the killer on me for hiding all game while they dropped like flies or hid from gensthemselves. I go out of my way the few times I even q survivor any longer to avoid generators and spina round instantly as if I walked up behind the kilelr when I see one LMFAO. I really enjoy the irony but it only makes solo playable one or two games for every ten games where I slug everybody as killer just to break the monotony

Switching to killer looks like this, from the Djinn's point of view:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4lHEg76_B4Unfortunately the Q is too long now to properly derank, so what I do is let them win when somebody has unbreakable which isn't often now for some reason. Otherwise they lay slugged and hopefully DC to not give me MMR.
-
Just understand the killer Q weon't be fast enough to dodge any more, and almost everyone will be SWF unironically a few months from now if they're still playing survivor. If some of us would rather wait 20 minutes and risk falling asleep or forgetting the game was on and coming back dead because we hated playing killer so much, well we'll be having the same attitude about not playing solo survivor now. Just brace yourself for plenty more killers to be dcing on offerings screen to punish SWF in lobbies by giving them a longer wait than the killer has to wait to reQ. That's the new meta in a few months. SWF and killers dcing on offerings to obvious swf.

You play Quentin, I'd be nice to you as well
I'd only give them a shilling for a Quinn Speedo, and that's only if the game is enjoyable as solo surv again before Txas Chainsaw Massacre is out. Holding the post for approval won't keep me from posting it again, lol. Anyways the first time a licensed p2w perk was released, hearing the shrine is now 5x more expensive and more more expensive to max perks now than to outright just buy the character itself (which you can't do for licensed which is why they'll put the p2w perks there since these are basically mobile devs on console and pc) I would perma quit anyways after bming for a day or few as a bon voyage like I'm already doing currently actually. lol. I quit for nearly four years, and i can perma quit too. That was when there were no better alternatives even actually...
Pro Tip: Any solos wanting better teammates, you're gonna have to man up and be the bad one long enough to get your elo back up after the disaster yesterday was. Equip Sole Survivor, Sprint burst, Self-Aware, and Spine Chill and just hide your butt off until it's time to get ready for an exit gate after the killer shuts the hatch. I was doing that and then started hitting teammates with bond and duo/3 man premades that began hunting me down witht he killer to train them onto myself though for avoiding letting them use me as bait or hook farm me the whole game. So it's really pointless getting your elo back, I say 1st hook suey and lower it plenty further so at least you get the easy killers if you insist on suffering through survivor still. You can play killer blindfolder right now, I've been doing it slugging and playing dark Alliance 2 on switch and even obvious SWF eventually die after an unfun experience of less than 13k bp often as few around 6k or 7k for two or three of them a game. NOT playing is the fun way to play now.

Same. My evening queue time was practically instant. Now I have to wait about a minute to find lobby. And every single match is a sweat fest. I still rarely lose, but I have to sweat with 4 gen slowdown perk and play in the most unfun ways (tunneling/slugging/camping).
This is not fun. Where did the chill evening matches go?
more are forming new swf, others leaving though not many YET, others stacking onto killer if they can't find a group that aren't c*nts so your evening matches will be harder and you should consider getting a switch for deranking every few games or so still since once you get your killer mmr too (tested myself on two accounts, and others have shared the same seemings from their own with me) high it creates a floor it never seems to allow it under ever again (even for new killers i noticed) no matter you throw 30 games in a row literally (I tested literally 30 in a row while I watched tv and played somethiing else) or you throw 4 or 5 game sin a row you'll sitll need to start doing it after every two or three 3k or 4k games in a row. It'll make killer on the account unplayable once the game has become nothing but sweaty or trolling SWF within a few months. I've already had to leave one account that was trashed for killer and don't even care hat i forgot the password since it became unplayable,t he one I tested that with. Hell I'd give it away for free rn if I could remember the login.

For some reason Bubbas are sweethearts to me.
Here's one that basically facecamped the first person, then downed me and let me wiggle out because I gave him my toolbox, and then proceed to facecamp the other 2. I was even close to the claudette asking him to let me save her and he didn't even try to down me.

yeah working wit the killer might have been fun for a few games, but it's a literal crapshoot whether it'll pay off when you can q as killer now and let the guys bleed out one at a time while playing a different game most of the match and get sharts and bp for essentially free until there's nothing left but swf when it'll be time to move to evild ead full time

it wasn't a threat, it was a promise, 1.3 hours in 2 weeks only to check the situation out with my own eyes, devs did a good thing..... for killers, but us soloQ, get ######### right?
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/PS7ELNV1NNGV/image.png
silly me buying almost every DLC to support the devs, we now know the devs couldn't give a ######### about us, they only care about money and killers apparently
Where is this icon to show what your other team mates are doing hmmmmm? its only a tiny icon on the UI, i could whip it up less than few days at most maybe yet your telling me its such a difficult task for the bhvr devs????
it's not, the devs make fancy promises only to appease us in the moment, they want you to buy the rift, buy the cosmetics buy the perks/DLC, they promise solo QOL is coming so please buy the rift........................
give us the UI icon to show the team, being chased or repairing a gen, make kindred base kit, revert DS back to 5 secs, remove bloodlust tier 2 and 3, then MAYBE ill think about returning
amen brother, untilt hend o your part making killer queue lengths longer (since they will face more swf, and newer swf will get more bullyish over time as they improve) so they can't dodge the unavoidable SWF Apocalypse lol.... and while clogging the kilelr Q you make a new and better solo Q where you can slug everybodyt ob leed out while you play Dark Alliance 2 on Switch like I did yesterday LUL. I'm trying tor efine a playstyle that makes themf eel frustrated enought o DC though, since I won't gain MMR from that, but I feel as if everybody I get is already at the point their next DC is gonna be the 6 hour or straight to 48 hour one since they do the crows on the floor even when I've done it one man at a time to stretch out the game to at leasta round 15 minutes lol
some folks lvoe to suffer, and they deserve it if they continue keeping the game viable acting as cannon fodder in solo q... i think of them as I think of "free to play" cannon fodder if they don't quit or switch to killer or swf it up. no respect lol. they simply exist as a prop for myself
P.S. even weed doesn't keep solo Q playable now, even if all you do is try to BM since everybody is trying to BM you back now and the killers act like boyscouts lol.
-
I gave them my last cent and this is the final straw for myself, theyw on't ever get another dime for me and if some p2w perks come out, which they will, I'll perma quit on the spot if I haven't perma quit already by then. I quit for almost four years, came back a year or two ago, got no problem dropping this pos permanently. I haven't played much since december anyways after the second 48 hour in a row because of the sweatfest mmr made the game. For the longest time reading the complaints about the game and it's horror stories have been more fun than the game.
-
For now the only viable soloQ for me has been moving to slugging out the full bar one guy at a time, to make at least 15 minutes of pain between that and thano, butcher, and whatever other two perks I wanna bring and I'll adjust the other 2 as swf get better in time. Once they gett oo good and it's already not practical dodging since my killer q time went from less than 10-20 seconds to 5 minutes at a bare minimum... I'll have to figure out why the offerings screens can give so many connection issues in this game. Once I get tired of that problem I'll just have had enough content released on evild ead to go there permanentny or until taxas chainsaw massacre is out IF that's fun too.
-
When you're icon portrait is of legion and you make a thread to demean soloQ grievances i won't even bother wasting my time reading what I expect to be a condescending or rhetorical post.
-
On the lighter side of things once enoughs olos team up for swf, a few quit and the rest stack on killer queues making those swf more frustrating once you no longer have the luxury of dodging when queues for killers are minutes at a minimum then we can finally convince the devs to put every known VOIP .exe onto EAC's "Please close this process in order to play this game" list.
I mean if I can't run my RGB controller and make my dark room pretty while I play, which affects gameplay in ZER0 way AT ALL... why should SWF be allowed to use discord, skype, team or ANY program that facilitates their chat unless it's on another computer or their phone? Make thm have to do some work at least if they're gonna cheat lol.
The game will be a mess if SWF won't be finally dealt with, since these killer buffs will fall off within a few months because everyone will be getting used to only playing in a SWF lol... killers won't have fast enough Q for dodging to be practical so they'll resort to dcing on offerings again, and it'll be a nightmare to play either side within a few months. I called this months ago, and so far, things loook to be playing out as I expected so within a couple or few months I expect the game will be a small circlejerk of sweaty killers and sweaty SWF while even the casual swf will all end up playing evil dead or texas chainsaw massacre lol. Deathgarden all over again, without deathgarden to fall back on like they had dbd to fall back on for deathgarden... lol

Ok sure.
How long does it take to 'bless' a totem?
What effect does it give the survivor?
Is that effect strong enough that the killer has to snuff it out, or could it be more beneficial to leave it up if it means not wasting time searching for the totem?
We don't know these things yet.
Also, this won't be very useful if the killer is running Undying. Killer will see the aura of any survivor attempting to bless a totem, and so even if they get it off, the killer will know where it is.
there is only one killer and four survivors, the killer has no time to spare especially against an even somewhat competent swf to go running around plucking flowers too.
-
ya know, on reddit, I mentioned that some cocky survivor that would complain when told the same about noed would make that exact comment. LMFAO. this game is so dead once Evil dead is out, after this horrible past year, especially throughout this year, sweat mmr, constant clear and obvious survivor bias, man this game is so dead next year LUL. -
I'm gonna make a supersonic man out of you.
-
They'll screw themselves on mmr at those points patches come and they're waiting for their cheats to get updated, they'll also screw themselves once enough reports gett hem banned. I do expect to see some frustrated players resorting to cheats though. And while I've usually noticed it from survivors I expect to see more killers resorting to it after mmr. Just because I haven't noticed too many killers doing it that doesn't mean there aren't more clever subtle cheaters flipping them on to lesser degrees briefly to not be obvious about it. I caught a twins lately that got tired of my lithes and instagibbed me from full health just before the vault from about 10 meters away at the end game after sluggin the other 3 guys. It was the only time they did it too that I noticed the whole game, but all 4 of us were about to escape lol.
unfortunately there will be a slow climb with more killers doing things like that once they become frustrated with the mmr burnout. They'd be better off clogging up the queues as survivors instead once they reach that point rather than nurturing the toxic feedback loop this game has developed. And queueing only as survivors has been proven once int he past once enough did it to actually lead to much needed attention to issues with balance and killer enjoyability when it made survivor queues long enough... that's a much better response than wasting their money on cheats and nuking their accounts sooner or later.
-
Leon, Bill & David I would probably ban since they sporadically can decide to blind you when you're in a chase or to get you strung up on the hook and farmed.

They didn't yet. It goes live on a permanent basis with the Pinhead DLC's patch.
way to ruin it along with a nerf that swf can abuse against him. Pinhead didn't just die... he was mori'd.
-
He was in need of some slight buffs, and they gave him a nerf instead, one that will be mostly abused by swf mind you. He's not worth paying for without a survivor in the kit imo since mmr is coming along with him. And I wouldn't be playing killer at that point especially one that's trash with a mori that I was expecting to rip the skin off of a survivor but that doesn't when the animation is all those even offer any more. Pinhead is a waste of money. Stick with better killers with mobility and better powers that the survivors can't deny you at their whims and just get the perk when it comes to the shrine since a perk ain't worth 5 dollars.
-
I repeatedly proxy camped an area with close hooks, gens and hexes and occasionally slugged and got a genuine gg afterwards once. I honestly didn't know how to respond to it since I was expecting nothing or something vitriolic so I awkwardly backed out of the end game screen. But you say a wholesome moment and that's the only one that comes to mind.
-
I think they're better off focusing on survivor-only packs at this point lol...

To OP - SSBM is here to stay. There’s new grades and conditional BP rewards as well.

-
I advise against paying for pinhead, ignore himc ompletely, to show these devs that akiller proven in the test server to have needed some slight buffs before release is not tolerable when they receive a nerf instead (one that swf can heavily abuse to boot, in fact it'll mostly be swf that abuse the box I expect but mmr will eventually face you against many more swf if you're halfway decent on top of it driving some survivors to form more swf groups as done in previous tests). If you guys truly want their bs to stop you need to stop paying 10 or 15 bucks for skins every few weeks and buying what you know to be either suboptimal (and therefore not necessary) or outright trash killers. It's past the point where the devs are to blame when the userbase has understood how the operate forever and continues to enable them. It's the players' fault he sucks and still got a nerf anyways before being released, not the devs' fault. They know you're gonna buy it anyways. Wait for the perk to hit the shrine and keep using corrupt/ruin/pop till then. ffs

Imo, Oni is the Snowball killer. When you have his power he gains massive mobility that he can also instant down survivors out of.
and he has one of the only killer skins I felt was worth buying, because it looked pretty cool, and he has comeback potential sometimes. Even in mmr he shouldn't be so bad for some that are willing to throw a few games every now and then while paying more attention to youtube or something. And unfortunately, alot of people are gonna start playing killer that way. Along with a much smaller subset of survivors, although it's counterproductive doing that on survivor outside of the trolls that wanna bully killers and lengthen their queues.

its an asteroid about to wipe out the people who complain about things that are actually good for the game as a whole.
It's an asteroid about to wipe out the ignorance of or dismissal of the horrible lack of balance and favor of swf when the killer exodus begins within a month or two once the elostorm settles and the tedium of it becoming a bore or a chore along with the reality of it's permanence begins to be accepted by those with false hopes. Even survivors will begin leaving lol because of the way the killers that choose to tolerate the way their matches are gonna play out or going to start playing those matches. I'll be camping all night on bubba in protest and will thank god if I see a name resembling yours.

So, you want to play the game just do dodge Lobbies? Sounds like fun.
it actually is a solid way to occupy the hands or to pass the time, I used to use hearthstone and lobby dodging (and boots before servers) while mostly paying attention to the tv in attempts to deter some of the swf players from grouping up together. It actually kind of is a good way to spend some of the time when you're only able or willing to put about 5% of your attention span into it at best. It's either that or smoking, eating, beatboxing or fapping to keep the hands busy.

it's not a feature it's an asteroid about to wipe out the playerbase

Yep, game installed again and about to use a funny name and go and camp on him all night in protest of mmr coming with a new killer that is being nerfed even before being released when the test server proved he needed some slight buffs instead. This rewards are for play time. You get absolute nothing for a high elo.
and your time is used more productively farming a lower elo than running around in miserable chases or looking for stealthy swf on comms imo
-
Not any more since they make a trade for it by wasting productivity, if they saved it for endgame sure there is still potential there but mostly swf would be able to abuse it effectively which actually will become an issue (swf, not ds necessarily) for a growing amount of killers due to mmr but if you learn how to play as if you're 'farming' and just stack bbq you shouldn't to worry much about it unless you've been sweating too much most of the year already. Remember, devs want most survivors to escape so that they get happy and buy skins. So whether the imbalanced gameplay leads to it when mmr screws you over, or you let them all go to keep the mmr from screwing you over, get used to not expecting many kills as killer form now on and just switch over to survivor if that doesn't feel right for you.

Reasons I'm excited:
1. Wont have to do 4/5gens
2. Games will be more normalized
3. Allows me to play my weaker killers not at the highest level
4. Adepts etc. Mught become easier
I'm not actually going to hate this update, I wasnt lucky enough to get easy or free games for either side I played. It always felt the teams I versed as killer understood all tiles and was efficient on gens and then on survivor the killers always seems good. So for me all that would change is less bad teammates...
Anyone else excited? I know there so many negative threads, but honestly I feel they need a wake up call.
Positive is it allows a more accurate way to see balance points
You will eventually have to wait around 30 minutes for a match though unless you're a complete potato or can endure the tedium required keeping potatolo

Either average, or the highest MMR in the party. One of those, no clue which one.
It'll be an average,f orcing 'average' killers to endure it more often than some do now, or it'll give the killer based on the lowest members
-
Just assume that it cannot possibly be any better than it is now, and that a best case would be that it wouldn't get too much worse. If you hit an elo where you encounter swf too often, it's time to quit or only play survivor until they do something about it (which they won't) imo.
-
You would get more bp much more quickly by staying at a lower elo and being able to spare the perk slot for bbq and just one hooking everybody while slapping them and letting them heal to do it a few more times or to slug them all a couple of times and then intentionally missing a lot of swings and breaking off chases to start new ones while also being able to have more fun ironically in spite of how tedious that may sound. Unless they give out a significant amount of auric that is how I'm going to play always having four escapes. Which is already how I play doctor most of the time anyways since it's just fun to chase them around and hear them getting zapped and I do that for the lulz. And some still get mad lmfao. hell if I came back while waiting for evil dead I don't even think I will play killer ata ll again and if survivor hit 5 minute queue length I would just permanently uninstall and consider the game truly no longer playable

Given all the games that have tried to compete with DBD and died (including F13), it'd probably be a smart move to wait until someone gets their hands on the game (Evil Dead) before making any assumptions.
Given your user name and previous posts, though, I doubt you will.
Either way, I hope the game is enjoyable for everyone upon release :3
That would be a best case, since the games would have to stay in good shape and it could make it appealing to play both for some folks. I was hoping Friday the 13th was going to make that the case. dbd has been able to sit on it's laurels for too long though and desperately needs a strong competitor to overcome the playerbase barrier. A big IP will probably be what it takes to do it at this point, something that will draw attention and have some wanting to check it out.
Even a big brand name can have trouble once a new fad genre becomes saturated or has most of it's users settle onto a specific game or few unfortunately. Like with league/Dota2/Smite choking out the dozen or so betas of mobas I tried the past 12 years or so with even the DC Infinite Crisis game. Once I felt it finally reached a state where it was improving and standing out a little (it tried to copycat league in too many ways earlier in it's CB like with the builds and items) getting shut down due to not having enough players. Even a big brand name isn't always enough to do it when it comes too late or does not have an Incredibly strong first impression. Especially in a grindy genre, nobody wants to start a fresh account and grind all over again while learning a new game on top of it.
I believe how easy Evil Dead is to get into, and how simple it is to learn but how much gameplay potential it has will play a big role in how many users it keeps. It could be an objectively superior game in most ways (which wouldn't be too surprising) but if there is too large a grind holding it back, or mechanically it could be exploited gatekeeping itself from newer or players or creating a huge imbalance in the asym mode (a dbd issue too although this would not affect ED co-op and would not kill the game as a result thankfully) then everybody is just gonna go back to the game they ground out already (dbd being the only one still around unfortunately and the second one to emerge that I recall, next to evolve). Even if they think their old game is worse game overall. Hell I've done it myself in the past.

OP said they destroyed the killer. Therefore they should have had plenty of time to do bones.
Whether or not they had a Blendette that was useless is irrelevant. Even if they did, it isn’t a problem with the perk, but rather, a problem with a bad player.
a 4k sounds more like the killer destroyed them lol ... along with the mmr they'll be starting with next week so it'll boomerang back to em anyways. thankfully my zappy zappy doc style of one hooking for bbq will actually reward myself and he oughta remain playable as is. I got a little carried away on wraith though so he probably won't be enjoyable any more. I didn't play too many other killers too many times since coming back last year so I have no clue how it'll affect them or whatever the 'baseline' will be but anyways to Opie that killer just screwed himself for down the road so don't give him rent-free space inside your head.
I had matches like that too when alone since I only got 3 or 4 bones in the match and apparently nobody else cared about those. It happens. it's also a necessary evil if you don't want ridiculously long survivor queue times or to play russian roulette every game wondering whether or not you will be the one they find first and camp to death or to get hook farmed or not.

You could see it as an insult or you could see it as a witty way of saying your overthinking it.
If one of your post gets deleted let me know and i'll believe you.
They won't though. You are overthinking it. And not a little
censorship is rampant everywhere these days, and part of the effect is when nothing is seen, well, they don't notice the censorship. With Evil Dead coming in february and them being unwilling (even having stated it many times in the past) to balance the game for sweaty matches while introducing a system that will eventually make most matches feel sweaty once a player reaches their personal 'elo' I won't be surprised if they start deleting anything that threatens the bottom line like the pinhead changes thread that got closed so fast it only had time to get two replies that somebody made. (removed it's link to remove one potential excuse but another will be made up anyways if they wanna hit this post).
They said nothing "out of line", it simply got closed because they wanna sell pinhead to killer players next week. And they won't be including a survivor with him to still give people an incentive to buy a killer that received some nerfs before his release (SWF WILL abuse the box changes and some killers will see practically nothing but swf after mmr) when he actually needed some buffs from his test server state instead. So they have to rely on only killer players to buy this one, at another bad point in the game's life for killers (I assume they couldn't license a survivor, or else they would have if 'the price was right' since it would have been smart to not exclude 4 out of 5 potential buyers). If any post does get hit of mine, it'll likely be this one because of talking about this when they're releasing him next week. But some other reason will likely be given as an excuse so that it couldn't be something obvious and screenshotted to be posted elsewhere drawing ire. heh.

I think you need to loosen your tin foil head a bit
I think you need to open your eyes a bit or get a pair of glasses. My point would be immediately made, when ins pite of you being the first one to make an insult, your post will remain while mine will not or will get 'snipped'. If they're smart about they'll wait a couple of weeks to do it too, so that it won't be noticed by any other than myself. Which is what I expect to happen along with a snarky remark coming with it or a passive aggressive quasi threat of sorts to my ability to speak here.

The thing is I don't want to play other games and ignore this. I want them to fix THIS game 🤣
Competition will force Both games to be decent though, which is good, and which happened Very briefly before friday the 13th got nuked by the stupid copyright bs. Itw as combination of fed up killers queueing as survivors to clog up the q times for survivors and having friday the 13th being constantly fixed and worked on before the Cr stuff killed it's future updates that led to any improvements for the dbd killer experience afew years ago.
Evil Dead as a new game has to be appealing and fun enough to convince players to start over in anew game (they don't have to quit the old game though to do it except for those with very little gaming time) and dbd has to convince fed up players to Not go to the new game ins pite of it's long consistent history of bias, horrible bugs (and sometimes having the players be punished for them in one way or another, with or without the dc penalties in recent months players were hurt for one tiny example), straight up lies especially to the killer side and their long dismissal of balance and bug issues.
All the while still releasing ten to 15 dollar skins at least once a month on top of new weak to only so-so killers every few months. This new one, as I predicted, was in need of buffs after the test server demonstrations and is getting nerfed a little in ways instead (and swf can badly abuse the box changes too LUL) and a survivor isn't coming in his pack to make it worth spending the money on ol. The gen perk, hopefully they'll wait for it to come tot he shrine or justs tick with corrupt/ruin/pop rather than reward behavior.

Which is true but the players at highest levels already exist in the matchmaking queue, running into each other occasionally but for the most part being offered up the rest of the playerbase as chewtoys. It's unhealthy for the game and terrible for new player retention, particularly on the killer side where new killers start having players with thousands of hours thrown at them, sometimes from literally their first match.
that's still going to happen once older killers leave the game it'll just take it 10-20 minutes again for those higher survivors to get thrown any killer still willing to play 2 or 3 months from now
