I just had a knight tunnel me and we were at 5 gens none were even close to being done so yea still pretty bad lol
-
also forgot to say we all died so fast we all had a little above 3k bps….how is this still a thing…
-
I had a game with a cheating trapper and their name was the website link where you could buy the cheats….. and this was earlier this week….

You aren’t lying. As many content creators who say when they start whining or just black out angry because the game isn’t going the way they want it, that it’s part of the banter are trying to save face and make the audience think that type of behavior is okay is beyond me. At this point I don’t think it really matters honestly because it’s gonna always happen till they finally make each match only 3 survivors who spawn on hook and just insta win while we prob will get just 10k participation points lol. That’s the only thing that will feed the degenerating mentality of if I don’t win with a perfect 4 k I’m crap at this game. I’ve been tunneled and slugged all dang day today I’ve tried so many second chance perks, and then said forget that and tried a fun speed build with power of two, blood pact, made for this and the boon for 3% speed bonus and still got mercilessly slaughtered. At the end of the day just make the game as Matthew Cote intended (given how he was embarrassed and his pride took a dent with his own performance and didn’t like he wasn’t the one in control of the match flow), and give the people who want to get high off power trips what they want finally so the rest of us who know what direction you wanna go developers so we can leave without false hope. Maybe someone will start taking notes and show how a game like this can be fun for both sides without egos raging and trying to supply people with dopamine hits that only last for 30 seconds.
-
it most likely will. You know how this goes enough people complain about it it’s gonna get gutted. Killer can literally counter the perk by just picking up but people are too greedy to want to snowball instead of doing what they are suppose to and just pick and hook
-
at this point just spawn us all on hook when we load in and give us points just for participating. I’m tired.

are you not supposed to win because you are worse than your opponent or because the game is blatantly rigged? and if it is the latter, why even ever change anything because "its okay you are not supposed to win this time"
at this point I’m waiting for them to just load us all in hooked and we all just insta die and the killer gets max points ggs
-
I don’t think they will fix it they just keep making it worse.

So was playing a 2v8 and apparently Survivors have found a way to get on the statue in the middle of rpd either this map needs a Killswitch or can someone explain how to reach it?
Nope I've seen a wesker do it as well. So both survivors and killers are doing this.

Not sure why they had to buff distortion again. That perk was perfect as it was. Also why machine learning? I saw that perk ONCE in my matches… We all know predator got nerfed due to Nurse again… wee..
We still have to get chased to use it. So we still have to interact with the killer to even get value from it.

Considering overwatch just upped their dc penalty recently to ban you for up to a whole season. I went through a couple of games to see how their penaltys stack up to dbds. (None of these have a go next button like giving up on hook) I choose 3 games to start and if anyone has any other games they'd like to add they can.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/YXZTLS0RZ2BE/yqv1gf751q8y1712187580255.jpeg
Since this update blizzard has announced their leaver rate dropped by 90% meaning you rarely see a person just hop out of the match anymore. Their dc penalty just ramps up way faster than dbds does, and afking and griefing are strictly bannable (same as dbds)
Rainbow six siege even went further to give you a actual title based on how you play the game.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/Y57OK8FSFSU5/rdt-20241015-0727341075307971850094436.jpg
And the title restricts how long your penaltys are and what you can do in the game as well as you basically walk around with that title for others to see. So go nuts I guess. I haven't played this game in a while but I know after like 3 dcs in the same day when I last played it was like a week ban. And since this new system their leave rate has dropped by a good amount.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/3Y8YETI1DAWF/low-priority-queue.jpg
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/RSTTGOOG21FU/leaverbuster-afk-warning.png
League has something called the leaverbuster which they use to keep people in matches and if they want to leave they won't be viewed as the same as others for que times. So if people want to leave, they can. Just the people who commit will probably get faster matches than they do.
https://leagueoflegends.fandom.com/wiki/LeaverBuster
These games don't even have the option to abandon early like the hook system. So they mostly punish for afking, griefing, and dcing. (Sound familiar?) And they come with their own flaws as well. I don't see why dbd wouldn't be able to follow this example and see a benefit as well. And i rarely see complaints with these systems because "i wanna play and leave when I want" coming up. People act like improving stuff in the game will stop people from leaving in most cases (though I've seen people go next on unrelenting freddy). I personally think removing the die on hook system and increasing the dc penalty ramp up will do just the same.
I wonder if them taking the unhook self option out unless camped to where your bar is full can be done or if you have an unhook yourself perk like deliverance or sables basement unhook perk. If they have no way to rip on hook and no way to struggle, it will keep them in game more. This forces them to leave a bot and the system and identify them leaving which in turn will give them the warnings and penalties effectively. And if they afk they will be forced to dc and gain a penalty because of afking

I think Med-Kits were overnerfed, they could use some changes.
No one had a problem with healing until it was allowed to reach extreme levels with the original iterations of Circle of Healing, which seems to have been a perk created with Hexes in mind: a powerful effect which can be removed from the trial. But Boons cannot be permanently destroyed, so that perk was unquestionably overpowered and I agree it had to be changed.
But the Med-Kit nerf? That I think was too much, it shouldn't have happened.
To counter boons the killer should have been allowed to destroy bones too when stomped out. That way both sides could have a counter and be fair until all totems are gone on the map
-
Not sure I've noticed it's always like 25-50% on survivor side and never higher. Guess everyone's testing the new changes or prepping for Halloween event?
-
Trust me all I get is swamp, crotos pren, lerys, and rpd. If I do get a good map it's the gosh forbidden small version where all you can do is run on top of each other and die because you are literally in arms reach of the killer with a big building in the middle of it

I remember when 3% haste "completely broke chase mechanics". Oh wait that was a survivor perk. Never mind. Haste for thee and not for me, understood.
Mft could have definitely been something else besides haste, they already have hope for that and with hope you have to make it to end game to even use it and all gens have to be done. Which is pretty niche because you might get to use it some games but not all. The killer can't die so they are always gonna be able to use it lol. I think hope is more of a gamble where people who can loop well and not get hooked early game get the most out of it, very far and few between.

Yeah im agree on part that it mostly problem that Legion doesnt have enough base kit speed so peoply try stack all haste perks and addons. But any killer can stack this build and have the same speed or even more (Blight/Oni/Billy). Plus machine learning is gamble by itself if the last gen done not the one you kicked you loss value.
Like there's so many good things they can do for the game like take the cap off chase points, diversify the perks more, they are trying to give us more game modes which I really enjoy, but something has got to give. It feels like they throw in crazy ideas in a hat close their eyes and pick randomly on what they are gonna change sometimes like ...you all made this game, know all the ins and outs and you never even had a second thought about how things interact or synergize in your own game? That's scary because that almost means you are losing love for the baby you created. We love the events and cosmetics already and the new opportunities we get with collabs, but where is the love for the core?
-
@Gardhome said:
I see no problem here. There is full build around the end game Plus this is the only way to feel speed on Legion (cause Feral frenzy is very slow by itself).
Then they need a legion rework not a bandaid. Unless they test it on all killers and get the same result and every killer is blight speed because just him walking, not even feral he can instantly catch up with no effort.
-
@ChaosWam said:
This is why I dislike haste on both sides without a drawback. Being able to stack stuff like this, on either side, just breaks matches.
I agree. If they want these changes just put in a ranked mode for all this and keep a casual mode where no side has perks and can't use items. Just go back to basics lol I'm tired of it all lol

Let's imagine that survivor matches have a Team-based score, team-based Pip system, and MMR increase\decrease. (Basically you are getting more points, if your teammates plays well) Like… Your teammate just stunned the killer - and you got reduced (from usual) amount of points, or did the gen, escaped…
Individual is what we have now, btw.
With team-based score we will have these pros:
- If you played poorly\got tunneled early, you will still have a chance to get a decent amount of bp and get a pip. (Maybe even MMR increase - based on how well your team played)
- If at least 3 players escaped and you died - you are still won the match (I mean, your team have won, there is no individual winning) and got your MMR increased. (I'm not sure if it's pro or con, but whatever…)
- Every action\interaction against a killer such as pallet stun, blind, even chases by your team are granting you reduced amount of score\bp (reduced to balance).
- This system highly encourages team-play.
While it sounds good, there are probably inevitable cons to that:
- If you escaped and your team died - you lost the match, you maybe even get depip\lowered your MMR.
- If you died early - you will need to spectate the match until very end to receive more points. (If you leave from the lobby - you will get what your team earned at the very moment).
- This system not only encourages team-play, but afk playstyle as well. (It will be inevitable, obviously)
- You can end-up in a "MMR wall". (Constant unexperienced teammates will never give you a chance to get the pip\MMR increase)
- Your survivor matches are going to be HIGHLY dependent on the teammates you've got. (The worst one, probably)
It seems to me that the cons are much stronger than pros with this one… That's why I think it should not happen ever…
What do you think?
I like these ideas, but I would say they need to take the point cap off of being in chase. Especially those who get tunneled and ran all game and had no other way to get points. It would even things out I believe and give us more incentive to want to run the killer more and get better since point allocation is so low given we only have so many gens, chests, pallets etc

Right off the bat, to everybody complaining about aura reading perks the Developers will notice through their statistics which they share with us on their social media showing us a handful data normally relevant to an update released prior. They will notice the increase usage and will most likely buff or nerf them accordingly, that's common sense and Behaviour has operated with and why recently perks with lower usage rates have been getting changes on both sides to encourage different playstyles and builds. The vast majority of these aura reading perks require the Killer to perform an action or the survivor to perform an action for it's usage, this is most likely why changes haven't happened to them as it isn't just allowing Killers to see your aura in a base kit scenario (of course, a few perks like Lethal Pursuer come in mind), despite this though these perks literally have cooldowns and only a single usage to prevent them being used consistently, if this was the case it would be more problematic than what players are claiming now, and if Aura perks are in play and if you're aware of different perks than the typical meta you can typically act upon that usage to prevent them getting the advantage through the usage of perks or running away to a new location to get ready for a chase. But it's quite interesting, before it was the constant posts complaining about gen defence builds, anti heal build or whatever, now when the Killers shift to a new playstyle you complain about too? Of course you are, you are experiencing a different playstyle that's new and requires you to change the way you play the game, and many survivors or players are stubborn and don't adapt to this leaving them to get poor matches, and then come to the forums and complain. Furthermore, Survivors literally have stronger and better aura reading perks that the killer can't even counter reliably as well Trouble shooter, Alert, Wire Trap, and Kindred are a few perks in mind which can give survivors insight in chases, during hooks allowing communication and not forgetting about the key add on which gives you zero collision and wallhacks if used appropriately, without an requirement or cooldown. And guess what, the killer won't know about this stuff until the end of the game and neither can they even counter it, as it effectively eliminates all mind game potential.
Regarding to Distortion, the old version was really unhealthy for the game and lobbies due to the players that used it with builds. First of all, in the case of using the old version with the current increase of aura reading it would immediately go through all tokens faster than what you think, this leaves more people to complain, vice versa… And the developers fixed the issue with this perk, awarding tokens by engaging with the killer and being in a chase. The perk no longer awards you to hide away and do nothing which directly hurts the team if you're hiding the entire match and not contributing in the progression of it, and the developers are removing the teammates that sit around the edges of the maps effectively being useless, looking for an easy hatch escape. This perk change is really good and makes it more balanced now, and preventing the terrible playstyle is encouraged players to do. Engaging with the killer is important, and part of the game for a reason. If it wasn't the developers wouldn't make specific achievements or rewards centralized around this. The perk is now designed for helping you loop the killer and avoid all aura reading chase perks like Zanshin Tactics, I'm All Ears, any aura reading perk or effect including add ons is now useless in chases with this perk, and this and many other experienced and matured players are absolutely fine with this new change as it removes the old versions uninteractive, boring, scummy, players that punishes killers for not bringing slow down perks with their one aura reading perk or add on.
Feel free to discuss below, be entertained to see what you all say. This was my insight on the current forum posts I've seen, and I feel like players have made it a bigger issue than what it is.
I hate the change because distortion helped me when it came to safer saves and split pressuring gens. Now I just feel like a fish in a kiddie pool with nowhere to go lol. Saves no longer are safe and all I get is high mobility killers that are slaughtering us. I don't really know what to do. Can't try and give my teammates a chance to reset or even get a chance to play after getting unhooked. I guess we will have to see as time passes what happens overall.

@GonnaBlameTheMovies said:
It's not really Killers that are the issue, or the Kill versus Escape rates. No.
It's just the same thing Survivors have told Killers for years now rehashed and the same things Devs did to Killers back then rehashed - stop playing in a way where you HAVE to win to have fun, these nerfs are actually buffs, see?. The Devs are clearly, CLEARLY trying to take this game in a more casual direction, everything screams it. The game is not meant to be competitive just because the player base is and because there is a versus element, it's meant as a casual versus game.
Wanting to win a bunch is by definition, not casual. If your mindset as either role is to win a bunch or you feel like you HAVE to win to have fun at the role, your mindset is way too sweaty. So yes, this horror game is 100% asking Survivors to be okay with, and up to the challenge of, trying to do their best against a foe they can't beat. The game for Survivor isn't meant to be about winning, it's meant to be about TRYING.
They just need a ranked mode that offers like 3x more bps then so casual can stay casual and sweats can stay with sweats

I don't have problems winning a faire share of my games, but I still fail to see how aura reading alone would win games. You still need to be reasonably good at chases and make decisions influenced by your game sense. There are so many situations where I see a survivors aura, but I don't act upon that, because of lots of reasons, for example (and not exhausting):
1) I am in chase with someone and can end this chase in a reasonable time, 2) the gen in question is on the other side of the map, and traversing there isn't feasable, especially since all the pallets on that side would still be up, 3) a gen close to me or at a strategic position is getting worked at and defending that is much more viable.
In all that cases I could see the aura of all the survivors permanently and it probably wouldn't influence my decision of what to do that much. But aura reading often helps to get into the right chases, to stay in said chases and, yes, sometimes to win mindgames, but there is a limit to what level of information will "essentially play the game for you" and when showing some auras is better then gen regression.
To me this whole discussion feels like moving the goal post. I was always in the camp that claimed that DH was an abomination that should burn, and MFT should have never even be conceived in the state it released, because it broke so many rules of the game, BUT even when I sometimes rolled my eyes at a game with four survivors having SB and sprinting away or how Lithe often was a "nope. Lets and this chase before it even starts", I never asked for this perks to be nerfed, because I got what I wanted, I got what I asked for and I recognized the need for survivors to have exhaustion perks. Sure, some killers every now and then asked for nerfing Lithe or SB, but most of us couldn't care less for such calls, as neither of this perks felt even 1/10 of oppressive then DHs domination did.
But when a sizable portion of the survivors now cry and whine over aura reading of all things, it feels so dishonest and crooked. Did it really feel better to have regularly repair two full extra gens, because 4 gen regression was so effective, then being regularly found by the killer and dragged into chases? Is easily sidestepping the killer by leaving the gen when you heared the terror radius and move behind any number of walls within 15m, and keeping them at 2 hooks all game really that much more fun and exciting?
6.1 and the following changed irrevocably burned the playfulness out of the game and breed efficency into the player base, that won't ever go away now. So unless BHVR does a big rework of the base game mechanics, we are stuck with extremely fast and efficient gens with split up survivors, while killers must be killy enough to keep up with the pace.
You forgot the shrunken maps. I get them a lot. You are basically on top of each other all the time and with several aura perks the games last 5 to 10 mins of we are lucky. It's just a slaughter or slug fest because there's really nowhere to go.

If the game were as simple as just "constantly see survivors and know where to be" then the meta would consist of the top four aura perks. But go play any killer that isn't Nurse with such a build and you'll see why it isn't
Uh I've gone against Chucky, blight, nurse ,nemesis, weaker, hag, billy, bubba, vecta so far today and all had aura and the games lasted like not even 7-19 mins most times no one got over 10 k....even with distortion
-
The new version reminds me of unseasoned chicken...needs more umph .-.
-
I just watched this earlier.🤣
-
If I am left with one other survivor and there are too many gens to complete I just go run out and get killed. I just want to go to my next game because 99% of the time the other survivor will wait out your death for hatch so doing a gen or attempting to won't do you any good. There have been cases where I pressured gens and the other survivor hid and waited till I completed them all. The killer let me live and hung the other for hiding the whole time when they were finally found.
-
I have not been disconnected, but I have been experiencing alot of lag issues where my character is moving, but I have no control of it, and then everything speeds up trying to catch up.

I don't think they will ever be able to bring solo up to par with swf. I honestly think they would rather focus their efforts that bring them currency like appeasing the streamers who bring them money, cosmetics and people's fav killers and survivors.

@I_CAME said:
Simple question. I'm not asking if you want one or how you would implement it. Just whether or not you think one will be added in the near future. I'm asking mainly because a lot of questions in the survey seemed to relate to tunneling creating a negative game experience. Also asking because of how prevalent hard tunneling at five gens is now.
I would love an anti tunnel system, because some people love to make others mad. They post on here very proud and boastful about making people's games miserable because they can force a win by tunneling out at the start of the game. Happened to me yesterday. Played vs a skull merchant game and literally had 2k points by the end of it. Tunneled me after a Feng ran into me and then it all went downhill from there. She even face camped, all three stages of my hook. My game lasted not even 5 minutes. But hey what can I do? Literally nothing. Anti-camping won't be effective unless we can combat tunneling. Especially if 5 gens are still on the board. I still think we need different lobbies. Streamers or content creators and their folks get their own lobby pool and we as solo Q or just average players get our own lobbies. Because I have too many times where I have at least 1 to 3 TTV folks in my lobbies and good grief it can be frustrating. It's either the killer and one survivor, 2 survivors, and the killer, or it's a 3 man SWF with one being TTV. And trust me I've wasted 15 mins before dodging lobbies, it's very annoying and time-consuming. But in my honest opinion, the game state will stay somewhat the same. Nothing we do will affect SWF. We will still get obliterated in solo queue and at the end of it all the game will most likely keep progressing towards the degradation of solo players. In the end, the solo queue roster may end up having to find something else to do because it will become too frustrating to deal with the monotonous broken builds and just dying in 3 minutes a good majority of the time. I have also noticed a new trend of playing hot potato with the killer where other survivors will intentionally run into you to get the killer off of them. I'm guessing this is the only way others like to play throw the hot potato at someone else's face and hide the rest of the match lol. No clue. I am trying to enjoy the game while I can. But I don't grind like I used to. It was much more chill years ago, and today it's a sweat-fest where you have to go all out to win anything. Might have to go back to PS2 and the good old games from back in the day because this new generation of games is stressful, life is already enough lol.
-
heck, I just got done watching some YouTube and literally just watched a very recent video of a person having over 9000 hours on DBD and cheated in a tourney with wall hacks....it was so blatant how he kept spotting everyone's position yet he never saw them, and just leaving slugged people to go to the other side of the map to pressure someone else he didn't even know was over there or had any indication of them being on the gen. I'm nervous about this game as of right now, if they are allowing people to cheat during tournaments bro that says a lot about where this game is heading... only thing we can do is do our part with having video evidence and submitting a ticket but they would be able to spot things way quicker if they implemented a game spectator mode where you can go back and watch the full gameplay after it was finished like smite has. They can review the entire gameplay and see exactly what is going on. Who knows, maybe we will see it maybe we won't. Till then try to enjoy it as best you can if you want to stick with it, if not I understand and hope you find fun in a new game.

Otz's suggestion wouldn't affect you then. If you watched his video all the way to the end then you know the biggest thing he wanted to change is haste stacking and that is it. The other two suggestions are rather small, letting the killer know when mft procs so they can plan around it and try to outplay it/make an informed choice and change the endurance effect into some other type of effect since we already have so many perks that give endurance and it is starting to muddy the water.
I can agree with this. I use it mainly to try and lear how to loop better lol I'm still terrible but the times I do awesome I do feel better about making good pathing decision
-
@I_CAME said:
I'm glad Otz is actually reasonable and recognizes that the 3% is not a big deal. This perk is good but it's the most overhyped thing in a great long while. You'd think it is the sole reason people are losing games with the way people are talking about it. They could nerf it to 2% but people would still complain just as much. People will be unhappy with this perk until the haste is completely deleted. God forbid survivors have a strong perk. You've got Hens and his buddies winning 104/113 games using only M1 and no tunnel while people on the forum are claiming that it's impossible to win as M1 killers now. Something about this doesn't add up.
At the end of the day everyone wants to have an equal game or win and it won't happen unless the devs completely revamp the way it's played or introduce other modes. It's turned into such a sweatfest you have no choice but to sit there and give your self an aneurysm because what do we as greedy humans want? To win. If you aren't winning you hate everything the other side has and instead of playing to your own enjoyment everyone's been brainwashed to be like their fav streamer to play in a way that satisfies our own egos.
-
Killers have coup de grace, blood lust and some more. I don't pair MFT w anything else I run it solo. Let us have one good perk please.
-
Nope cuz even with iri1 from playing my ass off they still give me potatoes that wanna play hot potato with the killer or body block people because they don't want to go down, or my fav one I could have picked you up off the floor but decided to wait 15 secs to attempt a failed flashlight save lmmfao.
-
I think it really comes down to the streamers. They are the ones that come up with these crazy combos and game breaking plays whether they are killer or survivor mains, they really are the ones who set the standard on how to play. How many of us watch several of them on an every day basis and start picking up their playstyle and habits. Monkey see monkey do... (shoulder shrug)
