I'm pretty certain this is already the case. Players in grey ranks are exempt from the "within six ranks" matchmaking rule for precisely that reason - there aren't enough players around that rank to sustain reasonable queue times. So in theory, you should be able to be matched with players of any rank level at rank 20.
I don't know precisely how the matchmaking algorithm works, but it's possible that your issue is something else, like the fact that there are simply not enough players online in your region at the moment, or at least not enough players queuing for the opposite role.
It is the case but in a way that the matchmaking first tries to find suitable players first and then lowers the threshold after a few minutes and lowers it further after more minutes but at that point, you have already been in queue for 15 minutes, which is currently the case for me.

I assume you'll be able to opt in and out of this.
Daily Rituals happen naturally, and i'm not a fan of being forced to play a certain way.Of course, my main idea was to make this something optional. You can do it, you don't have to, similar to the dailies (which are like "Escape as X and get X Bloodpoints" - you can do it, don't have to, you can also reroll it).
Seeing as the devs already do something similar on social media (Where they give out a random perk build you gotta play and screenshot to maybe win something) I think this can be part of the game.

We get to chose the skin parts we want AND we got one more than last time.
I am fine with this.

The queue times never were that bad. I was one of the people who ran that perk and took a good look at how the BP generation for Survivors was. Never had an issue during the time. The reason for the nerf was that people would just farm others off the hook way too often. There were discussions about changing the token system back then but they went with the obvious band-aid.
And tunneling? Sorry, but I am the type of killer who tries to enjoy the game without playing that scummy. I will never tunnel, camp or whatever. Call it a handycap but I actually enjoy the game a lot more this way (and I'm getting a lot more points out of games this way).

Make it easier for survivors to gain BP and the only advantage to play killer is gone. Now guess how that would affect the queues (btw, this was the reason why BBQ was introduced back in the days, to get more killers again )
Now that comment is one of the most ridiculous things I have read on this forum so far. You will still gain a shitton more points than Survivors. I was just refering to making the tokens easier to obtain, as it is pretty stupid to only get the full tokens in what? 1 out of 4 or 5 games without going WAY out of your way?
BBQ was NEVER introduced to "fix queues" (unless you can provide solid proof for this claim). The mechanic of it was to follow an anti-tunnel playstyle (hook different survivors instead of only 1) to be then rewarded for it (25% for each unique hook).

The title on its own is stupid. Killer perks are supposed to be superior. Not only because survivors can bring 4 of it but because the killer is supposed to be stronger... I would agree with any change that makes it more of a quality of life change like different ways to get stacks but any of this that gives it another advantage is stupid(no offense)Superior in power - maybe.
But the point gain on WGLF is just atrociously bad. No reason to take that perk. That was what I was refering to. The token gain is just incredibly unbalanced - for one side it is something very natural. For the other side, it is going out of their way. Not really that cool.

In case you're not aware, before she became the Hag, Lisa was taken by cannibals who slowly fed on her while she was still alive. With her dying breath, she drew protection symbols she'd learned from her village elders - very old magic. She became empowered by the Entity and was able to take her revenge.
The question is, why did that happen? Was it simply the location, the bloodshed, that drew the Entity to her? Or was it something more? Does her village have some connection to the Entity? What do you guys think?I think it was her desperation that drew in the Entity, or the Entity was watching it all along or even made the Cannibals go cannibal in the first place or something wicked like that.
Lisa wanted protection, she got protection. The Entity was her protective angel in that situation and she probably had a lot of rage stored within her, which she is tasked to unleash on the Survivors within the Entities realm. Maybe the Hag even thinks she's doing the good work there. Who knows?

My main issue with We're gonna farm forever is when a killer sucks donkey ass, and can barely get people downed, so I can get 1 stack at most, and then have to leave the game. You can't have a good game as a survivor and still get stacks, while as a killer hooking the survivors is part of your objective, and not that hard. When I play as killer, I get 3 stacks at least. As a survivor I am lucky if I get 2 stacks. Which is why I prefer playing killer, because BBQ helps me find people, and it is easy to get stacks. We're gonna farm forever... rarely gives me a stack, and a lot of times is a wasted perk slot.
That's exactly the reason why I started this thread to begin with: BBQ is part of your objective anyways, if you have a normal game you will have stacks, no matter what. If the game goes really well, you will have maximum stacks.
If a Survivors game goes normal, or even perfect, he will probably have 0 stacks. Because someone being hooked and you getting the safe is going out of your way a lot.
-
Or, very freak idea right here, you could play a ton of killer because it earns bloodpoints easier to then spend them on the Survivor gasp

@se05239 said:
Must the survivor's point generator be as good as the killers?
I thought it was an asymmetrical game with killers having the power role.Power role in terms of gameplay, sure thing. They also already generate points more easily, so why not at least balance out the 100% perk to be more of a thing for Survivors.

Thanks. To be fair these guys weren't too bothered, one seemed angry but he was only typing in Russian so who knows lolI've had previous games though when they cry about perks or add ons meanwhile 3 of them have D-strike and a few insta-heal med kits. Seriously?

You know it can only be compliments when someone uses their mother tongue. They know insults in English, guaranteed. So it must be compliments.

@Dreamnomad I countered my own argument and also told you why. Gens do help, but they should never be rewarded. The games already go too fast, giving the Survivors another reason to do their only objective even faster will kill this game in the long run.
Keeping WGLF a benevolent perk, which it was made to be, is the right direction. Every benevolent action should award stacks - that would be a solid solution for the perk to catch up to BBQ a little.
@Wolf74 and @ChesterTheMolester
Diving in to your discussion here - about the grind. I think the grind as it is is okay. Prestige means a lot of devotion to the game and getting it all done takes time - but not too long. The problem that I see in the grind that was also addressed by @Wolf74 are that they're adding more and more survivors and killers, resulting in even more perks to unlock.A simple solution to keep people from getting insane amounts of crazy good items while still reducing the perk grind is, to hand out more perks a web. Currently, every level will grant you a perk (with the exception of 2, 3 and 4 which will be addressed in the new patch however). Levels 1-20 won't give you a choice (level 10 being an exception) and post level 20, there will be 2 perks of which you can grab one.
A possible solution (as an example) would be shiftin the choices: 2 perks in levels 1-20 (one to take, one to be taken by the Entity). 4 Perks in levels 20+ (2 to take, 2 to be taken by the Entity). The prestige grind would stay exactly the same. Items are getting a tiny bit rarer (since there are 1-2 slots being replaced with perks).

Ranks 20-16 are isolated from the rest, and it's impossible to derank below 15. I recommend waiting until the next rank reset, one week from now. This is the problem. You're suffering from a ridiculously obvious flaw and lapse of foresight from the developers with the rank changes. Once you hit rank 15 it'll be night and day faster for filling lobbies.
The devs seem to hate new players because they keep doing stupid changes like this that screws them the hardest.
The change actually did nothing to that. The matchmaking will try to find people on their level, which means ranks 16-20 first. After not finding them, it will widen the search radius (which happens after 90 seconds of not finding anyone iirc, the numbers were told in one of the dev streams).
The change that prevents depipping to higher ranks than 15 (namely 16-20) was a pretty good idea actually, as a lot of players were depipping to farm the noobs which made for a horrible experience. There must be some other flaw or bug in the match making right now. The issue has nothing to do with rank. From gray up to red ranks, the problem exists, mainly for killers.
-
There are a lot of problems with the match making these days.
Today, surprisingly, I had instant lobbies. But for what price? I'm living in EU West and most of the people I got into my lobby were either japanese or american, which means their pings were beyond the 250s which is unplayable. So I had to dodge and re-open. I actually gave up after the fifth lobby of only red pings.
Edit: And yes. I was playing killer. In these 5 lobbies, there were actually 20 red pings in total.
-
Most of these changes are actually there, in the notes. One of the big mistakes they do in this forum is editing their post. Just got to the post of the current version of the game and you will see that most of this has been edited in - instead of making a new comment.
It will still say the "newest" post is from mid September or something, while edited news is actually from a few days ago. That 28mb patch or what it was was a hotfix to the Clown's new cosmetics, which had an issue with clipping through stuff. They actually edited that in as well, the information is all there.

There was actually a post on reddit where a guy looked up all shrines and made a nice little sheet on how often which perks were in the shrine.
DS and ruin actually had a tie of 7 appearances in the shrine while BBQ, despite being not so new, only had 1 appearance in the shrine so far.
Surveillance and Hangman's Trick were NEVER in the shrine before. So prepare for more crap to come...
-
@Dreamnomad The perk is called "We are gonna live forever" not "We are gonna gen forever". It's about benevolence and helping others to survive. While gens actually contribute to keeping people alive and helping them escape, it would hurt the game too damn much if gens would give tokens. It would be counter-intuitive to the whole purpose of being rewarded for teamplay, which WGLF was invented for.
It was a perk that offers you more points if you care about your teammates.

While I despise playing against LF (due to how people play him, very campy and all) I have to tell you: He's in the bottom 3. One of the worst killers in the game.
LF has his 1hit down, which is strong whenever he gets near you - but is totally useless when facing pallets if you know how to loop him and how to react to his actions.
He lacks mobility and map control. -
I think out of all killers, Myers probably gives me the best rounds. You never know where he will come from, you gotta be on your toes constantly. You also never know when he unpacks that murderous EW3.
I absolutely despise facing Leatherface whenever playing Survivor. If I play Survivor, it's with some friends of mine who are fairly new to the game. I'm not a great survivor myself, so I cannot carry them or anything. LF seem very prone to camping and playing overly scummy. Maybe 5% of all the LF I played against were actually good and played the game without facecamping someone to death.

Well, who doesn't love a visit in the salty salt mines. You cannot do them right to be honest. Even if you let them go for free, some of them will give you ######### as if you had just burned their first born on the stake.
People just love to complain. Do you know what frustrates them the most? Reacting with positivity. Nothing turns down some guy going "Oh you suck so much, l2p, noob etc." faster than simply replying "gg wp, you got me good". They will shut down immediately because all they seek is a negative response.

There is one very interesting detail in the new movie that wasn't there in the originals but could make up for a very interesting game mechanic: Microsleep.
People in the movie would fall asleep for short moments only - enough time for Freddy in a world where time doesn't matter.
-
In the current live build, Sloppy Butcher slows down healing by 25% iirc. It's a solid perk.
Put it on a killer with a huge terror radius and slam Caulrophobia on it and healing will take ages.

Let me tell you something guys: Camping is an issue, because it ruins the game for people. Nope, not a Survivor Main here. 1,2k hrs into the game, about 1,1k of which on killer.
If I ever camped in my life, it was for the memes. People I know and know I will meme them. That's about all. That does not mean I will rush away from the hook like an idiot. If I see others there, they get chased. If someone tries to loop me near the hook, their mistake. If someone forces me to stay near a hooked Survivor because of their presence or if they run straight to the hook in the middle of a chase - Survivors mistakes. Not mine.
However, if you ever deliberately camped even though nothing made you stay - that's simply a sign of lack in confidence. Trust me, I was there. I was in the skin of being afraid to not catch anyone. This fear dies when you play this wicked game long enough. Not caring is actually a trait hard to acquire if you have a competitive nature and I still get frustrated at some people (mainly for their blatant mistakes).
Long ass anecdote to my playstyle and how I still end up on rank 1 faster than I'd like:
Most of my games have only one simple goal: 4 stacks of BBQ, as much points as possible.
On rank resets in yellow/green ranks, I let 4/4 survivors go simply to not pip too much (and I still do. With 0 kills. It's actually bananas that this is even possible). So if you ever thought you really needed to camp for a kill in order to pip: You are wrong. A kill is 1/4th of an emblem, out of 4 emblems total which makes it 1/16 points, 9 of which you need to pip. Chaser is almost always gold or iridescent, no matter what you do. Most games end quickly, I'm not a Ruin user so my gatekeeper most likely is bronze or silver. At this point, gotta admit that I forgot what the category is called, the one that counts hits and hookings (not kills), that's something you will easily get to silver or gold if you don't thirst for getting a kill as quickly as possible (because you can use people as bait etc. sometimes it is the better choice not to hook someone even if it would kill them. Killing hooks are actually more of a time waster than anything as you need to get them to the hook, make a decision what hook to lose for the rest of the game etc. Also most survivors come rushing if you leave a third-hook guy on the ground, especially against SWF).
To sum it up: Silver/Gold/Iridescent. That's 9 points and a pip.
Even though you are a killer, kills should never matter too much. At the end of the day it's a video game that we all play for fun. Camping isn't fun. Neither for the killer, standing around doing nothing, nor for the Survivor. It's like watching a clock tick for 2 minutes.
-
Making WGLF an information perk or not, my argument that there should be more ways to gain stacks for this perk still stands.
BBQ still has the most natural action - hooking - as a requirement for the stacks. I get 4 stacks of BBQ in 99% of my matches since the perk came out (and I have not played a match without BBQ if it was available to me, even on Tier 1).
At least the points should be balanced, Survivors should be able to reliably gain 4 stacks of their perk. Making more benevolent actions give stacks would also increase the benevolence generally (which also means they spend more time healing each other than self caring which means an additional person is not hogging gens at that moment).

@Dreamnomad said:
This is my recommendation for WGLF.We're Gonna Live Forever: Your few friends deserve the best team mate. Each time you complete a generator, pallet stun the killer, sabotage a hook near a carried survivor, rescue or take a hit to protect a Survivor, gain 20 % stackable bonus to all Bloodpoint gains up to a maximum of 60/80/100 %. Whenever you unhook a survivor, reveal the killer's aura for 4 seconds if the killer is closer than 32 meters.
The Bonus Bloodpoints are only awarded post-trial.That's just plain overkill. Fixing gens giving tokens for more BPs? Everyone would rush that. Games already have a problem with being way too short to be enjoyable (for either side, to be honest). Doing gens is not the intense part of the game, that we can all agree on.
All we need is more benevolent actions to give stacks. Healing should definitely be one of them.
-
I actually forgot this post.
@Wolf74 I'm not a Survivor main or anything. I play about 95% killer. And how the hell does BBQ solve a survivor issue? It absolutely kills stealth and let's you initiate a chase far faster than without using BBQ. I never had a camping nature in this game, I always rushed of the hook to find the next person and this perk made in unbelievably easy for everyone to find and initiate another chase. It benefits killers greatly.

Give it tokens for cleansing totems and gens. Lowers necessity to farm. Encourages the punishment of campers if unhooking is hard (main reason campers win, is they take hold of the WGLF stack possibilities) and preventing NOED. Those 2 are really the only additions it needs. That and a freakin fix to the disgustingly buggy protection and reunion score events.Totems are a solid idea, gens however..not so much. I see people leaving others behind, abusing the time the other guy is hooked to finish their gen and get their stack. It's the same as farming, just indirectly.

The arguments: Spirit, Event etc. do not really count here.
This is an issue for a long time now. I even saw McLean rocking Minesweeper in the lobbies (I love that guy)

Queen can't tell us when the DLC drops. She's busy fixing the goddamn game vinceC

Reroll option would be nice, I thought about only seeing the perks you got once you are in the game but that would probably lead to a lot of ragequits.
The random aspect could bring some fresh air into the game, it's always fun playing different stuff (similar to random modes in other games).
