  • I thought it was just me! Takes ages to load into survivor or killer and joining my friends lobby takes a lot longer as well and I'm on xbox series S. Hope this gets sorted soon.

  • I'm having the same issue on xbox series S, everytime I try to finish a bloodweb it gives the error and sends me back to the title screen. It is happening everytime I try to level up. Please fix this!

  • Even if its not a full week, a few extra days would be nice. It allows people who haven't been able to play to do the tome and not miss out on anything and people who want to enjoy the ptb (which is happening during the event) won't miss out anything.

You can only move on when both the community challenge goal is complete and your personal contribution is complete - both need to be fulfilled to move onto the next one.

    Thank you :)

  • @Mandy said:

You can finish the personal ones but until both the Community challenge and the individual challenge is completed the rewards are not available.

Is this bugged Mandy? I can't move on to the next one even though I've completed the personal challenge or can you only move on when both the community and personal challenge is done?

  • Rework of the grind/prestige system- Remove perk tiers or make it more worthwhile to prestige

Buff less used perks to shake up the meta

    Optimisation

    New gamemodes e.g., 2 vs 8

  • An overhaul of the prestige system and grind would be nice as well as perk load outs so I'm not scrolling through 7 pages of perks to find my build

Really? You're just going to straight up ignore the questions in the actual OP and pretend it doesn't exist? I feel like they were pretty simple questions. What is this Flash Sale in the store about and where is the actual sale relating to it?

She just told you. The Characters are on sale so they don't cost as many auric cells, not outfits. If you have all the Characters then you won't see the sale.

  • Corrupt intervention. Would free up a perk slot that is sometimes mandatory on killers that need time at the beginning of the match to set up.

  • Or just remove perk tiers all together. Bhvr have already said that it's a 'band aid fix' so they won't do it.

That's a really good idea, it doesn't limit the builds you have so you can play whatever survivor/killer with out worrying about what perks you are stuck with.

Personally I would like the prestige system altered. Revet all perks unlocked back just to level 1 but keep them so you don't get stuck with weird builds because the bloodweb is only giving you certain perks, I've p3 some of my survivors but I'm left with some odd combination of perks

  • Same issue on xbox series S. I bought the perk visionary for the BP and when I went back into dbd I could purchase it again

Sure there are a lot of perks that need to be reworked, maybe NERFING is the wrong word to use.

It does need to be changed though, most people just use it to meme or troll and drag out the game for selfish reasons.

I think most the people who view this post as a negative instead of a positive is telling me that they are selfish players who use self-care regularly and do troll-like things.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2821251#Comment_2821251

This guy has made a very good point and it could fix this issue. Leave the perk the way it is but change the fact you have so many times you can do it.

That's a fair point. Personally I've never brought self care apart from doing the odd rift challenges that's required it.

Limiting it's uses would maybe stop selfish players hiding in corners or trolling but then it just becomes a medkit basically and then a dead perk slot.

  • It's a feature of the game and most survivors, especially solo, use it to communicate with other survivors in combination with the other gestures. For console it can even be a way of thanking the killer.

Yes it's annoying especially at the end of a bad match but is a t bag cooldown really a priority?

    @Usernameorsomething said:

In almost any match where I preform badly as killer the survivors mercilessly T-bag me, and its getting kinda annoying, so I think there should be some limit on how many times a survivor can crouch within a 6 second interval, or just have them get sacrificed when they T-bag.

  • On the flip side of this, you have survivors blaming their other teammates for losing, the killer won by using exploits or hacks or by using a toxic build. It happens on both sides, not just killers.

  • @Vlarian said:

With the nurse being disabled to fix a major issue, what if BHVR disabled Dead Hard to fix the glaring issue with every survivor running it. I wouldn't be surprised if it's pick rate was over 70%. They reworked Ruin to be better, more healthy, why won't they do the same with Dead Hard? "It's really complicated and requires alot of time and we would have to rework the whole-" Okay, that's fine! But please help with the dead hard apocalypse, I haven't played killer in 2 months because of this perk and Circle of Healing.

Nurse was bugged, dead hard is just a popular perk because of its value in a chase. A counter to it is just bait out the dead hard, wait a second before attacking and you will either make them waste it or land a hit.

Just because it's a meta perk is not a viable reason to kill switch it.

  • Artist has no counter? You've said it yourself, yes it's a boring counter of just holding W but you can't tackle loops the same way. She'll place birds at the obvious points so you have to try and play unpredictable, start double backing or go for a different loop once she's set up and wasted her crows.

  • At the end of the day it's the players own enjoyment. Both sides get called toxic for using a certain gameplay style that the other side doesn't like or bringing in perks that they think are op or broken cough cough circle of healing and noed.

It's not a mandatory rule that you have to put the other sides enjoyment first, yes it's nice if it's a match where the killers doesn't camp, or survivors don't farm, again all valid ways to play and can be fun for some people.

This mentality that you have to play a certain way and not camp or tunnel is just out dated. If you have fun with it go ahead because there will always be another match at the end of the day.

There are to many boons you have a boon that gives you unbreakable, you have a boon that heals you 45 % faster, you have a boon that hides noises, scratch marks, and blood

Not to mention cobbled by perks that not only increase healing but gen progression also bite the bullet, leader, spine chill, the Felix perk Desperate Measures

Ace's Ante Up,Lucky Break now the new perk parental guidance which has no cool down

Please that is enough do you realize how hard the killer job is.Its hard enough for the 1 v1 and now you have every survivor basically can reset any progression you make as killer. You need to now give every killer an expose addons to just to counter this

2 gens left every survivor resetted and you have to break off a chase on to start the same process over and guess the survivor you let go their fully healed you stand hardly no choice against high MMR survivors like this

Please consider to stop making healing perks and boons or give all killers and exposed addons star struck, make your choice is situational at best.

I think this is the first time I've seen someone complain about perks such as bite the bullet, up the ante, and desperate measures none of which are considered meta, they aren't even that good and need a build that synergises with them.

Regarding boons, yes they can be annoying but on the flip side it means a survivor is wasting time blessing a totem instead of doing a gen and some players will drop a gen to go and rebless a totem wasting more time.

  • Really? You want to nerf self care of all the perks? It's rarely used except for beginner players and survivors trying to boost their medkit efficiency with the second effect.

Unfortunately you just got trolled by a player but that doesn't warrant a nerf for it.

  • I can't tell if you are being serious or this is just bait lol, sounds like you had a bad match where survivors didn't hit a skill check and you were found so you've come to complain on the forums...

    @hailxsatanxeveryxday said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2820586#Comment_2820586

There should be a mandatory 30-second Mori-style death animation that plays on every player's screen showing the head of the survivor who failed a skill check exploding and spraying a hundred gallons of blood on the ground around her, and if you disconnect during the animation, you get an automatic 30-day ban.

Everyone else repairing the same generator would then go into the dying state while any other survivors within 32m of the gen would lose a health state, and then the killer sees the aura of all survivors for 30 seconds.

Then maybe people would pay attention when they're repairing a gen.

    6.Hatchet (please don't)

    7.Predator (nope)

    8. Leprechaun (bruh) Worst than Chucky just cringey the first 3 movies we're good but nah

I mean Bhrv does what it want's this is just my opinion

It feels like you are being very narrow minded and just labelling everything as lame because you don't like it. If implemented right all of these killers could be great additions to dbd that will bring in new players and hopefully interesting powers/mechanics, some more than others.

I understand each one has their own fans/haters so either way someone will get upset if they are added/not added but they could all fit. As someone else has pointed out, dbd has evolved from just old time slashers to a hall of fame of horror so some of these franchises would fit.

  • I would like to be able to save perk load outs so you don't have to go through 7 pages of perks to put your go to build back on.

Choosing lobbies and music would also be a nice addition, the resident evil and all kill lobbies were some of my favourites

And what can surv do to secure 2 escapes when they have a bad match?

Don't know what you mean by 2 escapes?

Admittedly there is nothing much survivors can do except smash out gens and not give the killer any more kills while one survivor gets camped, all they can do is bring perks such as ds, deliverance or even camaraderie/kinship but these are situational and don't always get value. As I said, I only think tunnelling and camping should be used at endgame. Best a survivor can do is get over it and move on if they are in that situation.

  • @SimplyPixelated06 said:

Camping and tunneling is a pretty unfun thing survivors have to deal with most games. Sometimes survivors don't even get a chance to properly participate in a match because of it. Being hooked and camped from 1st hook till death or when a killer completely ignores all but one survivor, tunneling and camping them till they are dead. It is very frustrating only being on a hook or holding w the entire match. So here's some thoughts on what could maybe be done.

    1. If the survivor is hooked 3 times in a row (so no other survivor has been hooked since this survivors 1st hook), they get an extra hook state to allow them another chance.
    2. If the killer is within a certain radius of the hooked survivor, the hook timer is significantly slowed down in order to give the other survivors a chance to attempt an unhook or get gens done as a sort of trade off for the killer camping.
    3. Base kit Borrowed time (or something like that). Killers tend to wait out bt anyways, so this wouldn't be too taxing on killers and would allow survivors to get some distance or a chance to escape the killer if they tunnel off hook.
    4. If the survivor is on their first hook and the killer is within a certain radius of them for an extended amount of time, the survivor gets a 100% chance of getting themselves off hook, allowing them to possibly make an escape from the killer, especially since you'll find in solo queue your teammates will not attempt to save you if you are being camped.

These are just some fairly vague concepts of what could be put in place. Hopefully we'll see something done in the near future, thanks for reading. :)

They are some interesting ideas but I would have to disagree with the fact you said that tunneling and camping isn't a legitimate strategy. Tunneling and camping at 5 gens is just a bit scummy in my opinion but near endgame with one or two gens left then it's a good strategy to even out the playing field for killers and secure some kills, why leave the hooked survivor when the gens are gonna pop anyway? I've camped to secure a 1k or 2k when it's a bad match.

  • Those examples you have given mean technically nothing without any context for the match, you've not really accounted for the variability in matches with maps, map rng, perks, and skill level for the survivors.

Was the bubba who didn't get any kills going against a swf with comms and full meta perks load outs? Wouldn't that make them skillfull for being able to hook them all twice considering what the bubbas opponents are?

When did the bubba start camping? Was it endgame so survivors just left to not give him any more kills or was it at the beginning at 5 gens?

There are too many factors to consider and basing it purely on he camped and got a 2k than how the actual chases went and the context behind then just makes your argument flawed that kills equal skill.

By that logic, a killer could be looped all match and get no hooks until the last gen is repaired and use noed to get kills and be considered skilled.

It doesn´t solve anything. You need approximately 1,5 million bloodpoints to get from rank 1 to 40. So a new player who wants to unlock all perks (sure, you don´t need to unlock everything) faces a grind of 82,5 million bloodpoints. Just to unlock everything, so it appears in your bloodweb. Not even unlocking every perk on 1 char or prestiging.

What really needs to be tackled is the overall grind. We don´t need 3 tiers of every perk. We don´t need offerings that give bonus points for a single category (for example, the white ones cost 3k bloodpoints and give 50% bonus in 1 category, earning you 1k if you maxed out that category). Or generally, we don´t need most of the offerings.

I agree you with you, I'm not saying that this has immediately fixed the grind for players it still needs to be addressed and at the moment it's just a band aid fix.

All I was saying that we should be happy that we have a step towards the grind being fixed and we should be happy and not complaining about it.

  • I think this a new low, complaining about more BP. This is a good thing, players shouldn't be locked out of the good perks because the grind and BP gain (especially for survivor) can take ages. 1 mil bp barely gets a character from level 0 to 40.

Yes this benefits the more experienced players or players who play more but it wasn't just iri 1 that had an increase, all rewards were increased so it still helps out new players.

So today I was playing with my friend on PlayStation and one other on PC today and 2 of our matches we came across this Dwight who was hacking without making it look obvious to the killer. Whenever me or my friends got downed by the killer the Dwight would shine his flashlight from across the map without the killer seeing him and would instantly save us from the killer and he would also heal us instantly and instantly finish gens.

After the match the killer starting accusing us but my friend who was on PC said it was the Dwight but the killer left before my friend could tell him.

And then 2/3 games later we came across another Dwight (who obviously changed his name and cosmetic) and he was doing the same thing again. And I when I got downed I got instantly saved when no one was around and then the killer disconnected and started to blame me for hacking even though I’m on console and the Dwight started to agree with him and my friend on PC was trying to tell the killer that it’s impossible to hack on console. We did report the Dwight but since then he’s changed his name on Steam. I just don’t want to get wrongfully accused of hacking. Hopefully a Mod or a Community member could respond, many thanks!

This happened to me very recently. I was playing Meg on the game vs the artist. Every time I would get injured I was being healed with no survivor nearby and I got accused of hacking even though I'm on xbox and have no clue or idea how to hack on xbox. I'm really worried I'm going to be banned because of someone else hacking.

The matchmaking sucks why would you even make a rank system if you don't base your matchmaking around it. My survivors are naked no perks no add ons nothing same goes for the killers I got.

Still got into a full f*ckin iridescent player game while being ASH 2 ????

I did not pay the main game and some DLC to get horse cock b*tt f*cked by nerds with 500 hours on the game.

    Not without my consent.

    Fix ur sh*t.

While I do agree that matchmaking isn't great, complaining about the grades doesn't mean anything since they don't contribute to your mmr, they just indicate how much you've played this season before rank reset.

The new system doesn't help at all with new players. I started to learn killer after sbmm was implemented and was fine for the first few matches but then started getting sweaty quickly (around 3rd game in). Then trying to play a brand new killer I got an immediate sweat squad. For whatever reason sbmm goes up on all killers regardless of who you play, it doesn't help new players at all who want to try new killers especially since they won't have access to all perks straight away.

Thank you Mandy, let me know if I should post this is in a different discussion but all of the ST achievements have been removed which wasn't stated in the patch notes. All of my adepts have been removed entirely.

I'm checking on that, because to my understanding if you own the DLC then you should have the current names after the removal, and not the generic names.

Hi Mandy, did you find out about the ST perks yet since the changes have just gone live even for those with the dlc? Thanks

  • This is the final nail in the coffin. This is disgusting and unethical. We can't trust bhvr anymore with the contradicting information!

  • Just submitted my support ticket, didn't even realise I was missing cosmetics until I saw this thread.

  • Poised for survivor and dead man's switch for killer, rarely see them used in builds that aren't for adepts.

  • My build when I'm running WGLF is:

    WGLF

    Borrowed Time

    Kindred or Inner strength

Dead Hard (or whichever exhaustion perk I want to run)

  • I would love a Meg blighted skin! She's my main next to Yui and would love to get a skin for her as well.

I've had this issue a few times. If you have game pass and start the game without the cd then the DLC'S won't be available since they are on the disc. If you quit the game fully and then start it up again with the disc in then it should work. Hope this helps.

This is from the FAQ that we have in relation to the Stranger Things Chapter in our Knowledge Base. It should explain everything there https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/292-f-a-q-stranger-things-last-chance-sale

Thank you very much! Just thought I would check since the names were changed in the ptb even if you owned the dlc. I assume they will stay as they currently are in the live version for those with the dlc?

  • Thanks everyone. It's a shame to see the ST leicense go but least we still get to keep them.

It was only because Mandy talks said they would stay exactly the same for people with the dlc with the image and name so wanted to check.

  • I think the new portraits look terrible. They look so out of place in comparison to the others and don't fit the current art style. It looks like someone got photoshop for the first time and really wanted to try it out.

  • I think you just need to accept that tunneling and camping is a strategy to secure kills nowadays, especially with sbmm. If you get tunnelled or camped just move onto the next match it usually isn't personal and is just the killer playing the game. If you are so worried or frustrated about it then just bring the usual meta perks like borrowed time or desisive strike. And before you go DS is useless after it's nerf then get a grip because it is an anti tunnel perk not a 60 second shield, if you have time to do a gen or heal then you aren't being tunneled. Even perks like kindred and camaraderie are useful against campers. If you bring a key then you are asking to be tunnelled out the match, keys are easy escapes with very little skill so why wouldn't the killer go for you to get rid of it?

  • Was really looking forward to the Meg skin but it's not available in the store even though the news says its been released. Hope this gets sorted quickly!

  • I think the adepts are bugged, I've escaped twice as Dwight now and still haven't gotten his adept and I definitely don't have it already. I'm on xbox series S

  • I have this issue on xbox series S

  • This has happened to me on xbox one. I'm currently stuck at rank 5 no matter how many times I pip or depip.
