I went up against several ghouls today seen one get a player through a wall. They were even surprised by it. Seen this happen a dozen or so times. I’m tired of bad killers instead of learning the killer they just tunnel and camp making this character even more annoying and frustrating. If they continue to do this they will lose players and the game will be back to were it was before the graphics update.

I feel like that is a really glib take on the fact that a survivors base kit is the standard across all characters & that their only distinguishing changes that have ever been expected have been through the changing of perks (its only been this year people have seriously been asking for perks to be made basekit for survivors). Likewise if you're someone who is going to split hairs to such a degree as ignoring a new survivor with new perks, or the buffing of other older survivor perks (Built for last has now created the 52 Gen scenario as seen here), then you seem like someone who would take the time in end game chat not to read my grievances but correct "your" to "you're" smugly.
You're flippant disregard for the significance of Deathslingers changes is quite stunning; when you proudly announce buffs like an increase of 75% movement speed to 85% while ADSing with some of the worst YAW that has ever existed & 125% zoom on an iron-less sighted gun. Likewise the cuteness of add-on reworks & Iri buffs is small potatos when the gimmick itself is now horrific to use. Underestimating a few seconds delay when you have one shot & have to be lightning quick has got to be some of the most stunning ignorance if I've ever seen it.
Many, many spots to which you could develop game sense, timing & haste like on the holes of Meat Plant, Most Killers Shacks wall opening, Some Places through tires at Autohaven, Stairwells cracks, are realistically out the window because the delay is going to kill those shots. Lets not even talk about pallets at jungle gym chases where you used to be able to mindgame and land a shot in chase around the corner just before they cleared out of sight, thus ending a chase without needing a pallet break of a normally safe tile. You seem to have conflated the idea of something being harder to execute (realistically these aformentioned notes of trickshots are a 1 in a million now) with a larger skill cieling, but truthfully, that is not how the New-Deathslinger, if anyone will play him at all, is going to work. It's also like saying if I snap your ankles it takes more skill to walk; I've increased the ceiling! (On the prior note, I highly doubt we will ever have Player Statistics again on Kills & Killer Pick Rates after last years killer destruction). You've cut out an entire style of play, raised the bar for the most basic of shots, and deleted the real end-game goal / skill cap of risque & interesting longshots for instead, holding M2 threateningly.
A player isn't going to risk the equivalent of 25-30% more slowdown (Aim, Shoot, Re-reel, Reload, Continue) & a 27% relative speed increase on survivors for a "chancy" shot. The punishment is far to high to merit the squeeze anymore. You now have the most boring, and skilless playstyle of all, free zoning. Threatening survivors but never using their power. Just like Nemi, just like Pyramid head. With the changes to DS's terror radius as well, making sneaking up to get an edge with your limited range, his power really is just a one trick pony albiet a dead one: a bad zoning tool. Worse, now its a power you are legitamately discouraged from using in the way its advertised, why shoot when its just a waste of time?
Comparatively to all other ranged & semi ranged characters, Deathslinger has no real upside or even a good Philosophy of use now since his ability to unpredictably end chases is gutted. His power went from tangible to theoretical. Why would I take a 93% move speed penalty ( a buff in your book) when trickster as the closest comparison, moves at 95% while throwing, has enough knives for 3 downs & an injure and can do so at any range, even over pallets, and will only take 2 seconds with Iron Maiden to reload versus 4.63 on DS while I am slowed to sub 80 in the process? But hey I guess the Hellshire Iron makes me undettectable for 10 seconds after a spear, I'm really living the high life.
You can trot along minor reworks to Addons or a movement speed increase while ADSing, it still doesn't change the fact that the character has had its gimmick gutted. If you can honestly play Deathslinger now and not ask yourself why you aren't just playing Trickster or Huntress who have far more going for them for far less squeeze, I don't know what can be done for you. I just have to imagine your some sort unpaid shill.
Lmao you correct my grammar? Sorry to offend your grammar issue but due to that this entire message has been not taken seriously. You are like a child who is mad that I don't care as much as you. I'm sorry if my opinion hurts your fragile constitution but I lost interest in that atrocity of a statement as soon as you went 4th grade teacher on me. Please no need to reply back I will be ignoring your comments from here forward. No need to correct my grammar like it actually means something here. Lol you enjoy being you and I will get back to having a life outside of this game.

The difference is that its probably nothing personal against you. You're playing a survivor role against a person who's playing the killer role. It's quite logical he's going to want you dead.
They could not be good at it or simply have little time in their disposal. (Or maybe the survivor did something toxic to get the killer's attention hmmmm???)
Basically you're tunneled and camped because uhhh...killer kills survivor? it could be anyone else in your place. Going into someones messages and being an ass is not only "toxic" because its not just a cheap ingame strategy but targeted harrassment on an individual who has more stressful gameplay going for them and they just chose easier/cheapier solutions to win.
You sound like another person who thinks the killer is your entertainer and they need to go die in a ditch if they try anything to win.
Actually I main killer and I don't think survivors need a buff or killers need a nerf. I think its fine to play the way you want to but don't complain when a survivor out smarts you and loops you when a killer can camp and tunnel. Camping and tunneling are not against the rules technically but targeting is and when you do those things they are considered underhanded. But like I said play how you want to play but don't be mad if someone doesn't like you for playing in an underhanded way. It's just childish to get mad when a survivor out smarts you or loops you or throws a pallet. Just do what you wanna do and have fun. But I give a warning only because it rings true with EVERY game, don't make the game un-enjoyable. If you do that less people play and that is bad for EVERYONE. I hope you understand!

survivors have perks, which a lot got buffed with only a few killer perks being buffed. survivors don't even need a buff AS IS!.
Also the only nerf slinger got was his chain escape animation, aim in and aim out. also terror radius, everything else was a buff. and to be honest, they buffed weak killers, and they nerfed wraith spirit and deathslinger. buffed plague and trapper, this was needed survivor buffs were not needed, plus, built to last is now disgustingly op, vigil is good, babysitter and BT is good if u don't want your team to get tunnelled. and many other things. please think before you speak
No if you read the patch notes it gave nothing to the survivors! In fact it only changed the names of certain perks and gave accurate percentages rather than saying moderate or slight it gives accurate information! I not only looked up the patch notes but I copy and pasted them to many people. Not a single survivor got a perk during this patch.

They didn't buff any of the survivors this time so I don't know why you think that you can plainly see it in the patch notes. As far as I can tell they exchanged Deathslingers ads system for something else some people are finding it hard to use him. I can't say he got a huge buff but a few of his things got a slight buff. I can say he needs a work over I played him the other night he seems janky like his aim is a bit off. I don't play him alot so I would suck even if he was in great working order. However the patch notes clearly show that no survivor has gotten a buff at least not in this recent patch. And Trapper needed a buff horribly he is the main reason this game has been considered so unbalanced. Honestly Spirit and Wraith needed a nerf. But I don't think Deathslinger needed a nerf. They are currently balancing things out and they might change them again later to hopefully make things a but more fair. Right now things seem to be a bit chaotic.

i said its irrelevant because you only look at like 10% of the actual 'picture'
and just because devs do smth, that does not mean they are right, in fact they have proven many times, including this one, that they have no clue what the ######### are they doing
I can agree that devs don't really have an idea what they are doing. It kinda feels like they are just doing random things to see what sticks.

Neither tunnelling or camping are against the rules or reportable.
There is no reason to be abusive to someone else over a video game.
If legit in game mechanics upset people then that is a problem they need to deal with themselves and stop having meltdowns and getting abusive like some angry child over a game.
Anything else is just trollish children making excuses for other trollish children.
It's not called tunneling what I was speaking of its called targeting I guess. I didn't know the name of it. Someone else informed me.
-
I want to see a werewolf! I think it would be cool if they made a bulky dog like creature that can leap over the walls to get survivors! Or even crawl over the walls! I want it to (like the pig) have no terror radius while like this! I want it to howl! I would gladly give up pig for a wolfy!
-
Well they aren't completely wrong.. I feel for them.
-
I think he needs some love but I have seen some really good Deathslingers. But I have heard of the ads being bad on him right now. With any luck they will fix it up soon.

Neither camping nor tunneling are against the rules, what you are referring to is targeting and it's much more than just camping someone, you can dislike it as much as you want, but please avoid spreading false information.
Back to the topic, I'm sorry for anyone who is victim of this kind of verbal abuse, please report it, either using the in-game report system if it happens in the in-game chat (lobby or tally screen) or reporting it to the platform if it happens in DMs outside of the game.
Ok I can roll with that, it was awhile ago but I reported someone for sending inappropriate messages and the one that responded told me that this was the only way it could be considered bannable. I was unaware it was called targeting. Thank you for clearing that up!

What kind of ass comparision is that. Being tunneled in a game because you play the survivor role vs direct targeted harrassment and death threats to an user outside of the game.
How is being toxic in the game any different than being toxic out of the game? I know what the difference ! One you can block and walk away from and the other you get a 5min time out for! Being toxic is being toxic! No matter in a game or in a direct message!

camping and tunneling are nothing to get upset about. Neither excuse people for being toxic to others in end game chat. Its a bad excuse for being a sore loser.
Tunneling is actually against the rules and both are considered toxic. Both are considered underhanded so why is ok for the killer to be toxic and underhanded but not ok for survivors to be toxic? I would never encourage someone to send a nasty message to someone after loosing a match. If some killer or survivors were toxic I would simply block them or report them if they say inappropriate, vulgar or dangerous things to me. But on many occasions as a killer I have been accused of things I didn't do and I don't say anything back because there is no point in arguing with them. I simply block them and move on. I'm not saying everyone should do that or has to but that's just how I handled these things. The fact is that when killers tunnel its frustrating and that is mentally taxing itself. When information is missing on one side it can make it seem like they did wrong. No one likes killers who are toxic or underhanded (not saying he was) and when your constantly getting tunneled it can be frustrating. They have every right to be a little upset. However I don't think its right to take your anger on others. I don't think they should of said anything to him they should just blocked him and moved on. Also I don't want to hear that tunneling isn't against the rules its true its not bannable unless you tunnel the same person multiple times in multiple matches. But it is something they can ban you over if alot of people turn you in for it. That is the same for camping if they think you are abusing the camping and doing it to the same person in every match in multiple matches you can get banned. Camping and tunneling actually hurts the game. When you have a bad experience in the game like those underhanded things it can cause players to quit or not speak well of the game it can bringing the player base down. If you loose player base the game will die and if you enjoy the game you don't want that. It's just smarter for the game itself to not camp and tunnel. Though it's a game and you should just play the way you want. Anyway that's stuff I hope you have a fun one!

Sorry, I can't find that comment how you proved him wrong. Those new perk buffs are super nice and I love using those perks tho.
Deathslinger is not useless, he has still one of the best 1v1 in the game, problem is that he is just boring and worse than other ranged killers.
I would be fine with bigger TR, I would be fine with ADS fake nerf, but I am not fine with quick-scope nerf. That was only thing he was better than other ranged killers and made him unique and it was main reason why FPS players played him.
He is not dead because he is worst killer now, because it's not true, he is nowhere near close to that. He is dead because he is boring af now. You are forced to use zoning way more than before, because survivors can react to your ADS easily now and I just hate that.
I would actually still play him without that quick-scope nerf even tho he would get worse as a killer. So I switched to Trickster as my main ranged type killer, he is actually quite fun and decent after his buffs...
I deleted the comment reacting to it because he deleted his. I agree with this I don't think he is bad I don't think he got nerfed. He for sure needs a rework because he has some obvious problems. But I can agree to your assessment. I think the guy who made this post was whining and saying it was bad because he couldn't breeze through things well and also the new survivor is broken. He kept saying he didn't want to use different perks or add ons (not saying they fix the issues but maybe they can help) he just kept insisting that they always nerf Deathslinger and buff survivors. I don't think Deathslinger is an easy killer but he for sure isn't unplayable crap. Thank you

You don't think he is right? That how big change it is matters a lot?
Alright, let's add 3 gens to do, but survivors do them 5 seconds faster... There is buff and nerf, so balanced, right?
And yeah, devs can be wrong, nothing new. They completely failed to see main issue with Deathslinger and over-nerfed him hard.
He isn't right about Deathslinger being bad when he refuses to do anything new. I will admit that some of his pov is crappy at times but not enough to justify saying it's crappy and that only got nerfed! He also said that survivors got a bunch of buffs but then deleted it when I proved him wrong. No devs are often wrong but it still doesn't mean Deathslinger is bad. It means it can use improvements but lots of other players still do well with him. You are not wrong

I agree that people need to be careful.
However, I still think it fits, even if the original comment was tone deaf. What if they hadn't of said this to me? What if these people had said it to someone who wasn't in a good place mentally? What if they pushed them over the edge?
Saying that it's the victim's fault for having harassment and abuse thrown at them is pretty awful.
It's crazy how you say this. I would never be mean to someone I know is in a bad way. I'm not sure you can actually ever know if someone was not doing good. And saying to someone that they should just be nice to everyone is the same as telling everyone to edit behavior toward people who are taking advantage or are mentally hurting you. It's not fair especially in the situation you had because (even though you said you weren't camping and tunneling) someone who sees that message wouldn't understand that. I mean if we're gonna talk about "what ifs" then what if you were camping and tunneling and you put these people in such a horrible mind set that they took their own lives. Would it be your fault? The game creators fault for allowing it? The communities fault for not doing more to prevent it? Honestly you can only truly look after your own mentality. And if the game or the others that play it are making you feel like killing yourself. Then it might be time to walk away from it at least till you are in a better mindset to deal with these things. And it isn't to much to ask someone to seek professional help. You can only give your best guess to how someone is doing in their lives alot of people with depression are the ones that smile the most. But like I said asking them to be nice to others isn't necessarily fair, like you said they think you were tunneling when you weren't but they still think you were and because of that it put them in a bad state of mind. To them you look like a horrible person when in fact you are not. You think they are horrible for saying those things but they are only saying it due to a misunderstanding. You can't really ask someone to be nice when misunderstandings are possible or when they are not mentally well. It sucks but you can only truly be responsible for your own mental health.
I talk about these things because a few people here seems to think that because I said I didn't feel sympathy for you. ( until you said you weren't tunneling ect.) They said I was telling you to commitsuicide. I never said that and I would never want that so I give my opinion on the matter.

Well he was one of my worst killers to play against when he released and after bitching about it I decided to just play him more. Made playing against him easier and that made me just play him more. Ranged killer > M1 killer except blight. Being a Huntress main and a big FPS player it only made sense to play those two. I do nothing but knife and tomohawk in call of duty and play other shooters so. But I think his time to down is only worse because trickster got buffed and to some he's still ass. I don't think he is but I can see it. But idk I guess RIP DS. Seems fine to me but you def play him more than me but nobody likes getting shot near instantly so here we are.
Personally the Clown and spirit are my hardest to play against I suck so bad when I go against them. But I'm not really a survivor I'm more a killer and I love playing pig manly cuz she is not scary and sometimes I get funny survivors. And as a killer I hardcore suck as a Huntress I'm ok with Deathslinger but not as good as the pig lol

Well, can't talk about him, maybe he does suck.
My point is that Deathslinger doesn't really suck as a killer, he is still better than some weaker killers like Clown, Legion, Myers, Freddie etc., but he sucks to play as, even Freddie is moret fun to play now and that used to be most boring killer to me.
Build that is good for him:
STBFL can help a lot, so you have faster time to down
Pop / corrupt to slowdown the game, because he has bad 1v4
Some info perk, so BBQ is good enough
As last perk I would use something to get undetectable, or oblivious. Best I have found was Hysteria, Plaything and Tinkerer.
But even with those perks, he gets better in terms of power-level, but playing as him will still suck, because how it feels.
Hysteria + Nurse's calling could be quite good imo...
I can agree to this and I enjoy seeing someone who knows something about killers.

"Not one survivor got a buff." You mean besides the new survivor with broken boon totems?
Also survivors don't need a buff. They're the most powerful side of this game by a mile.
That's not a buff that's how she came! I can see them newfangled her. But I can honestly see it getting better as people get tired of playing her. I never included in my list all the things that were there letcme show you what survivors got like everything not (suggesting that a survivor in itself is a buff means that survivor must of hurt you)
Survivor Perks
The following perks have become General Perks, and their names have changed:
- Babysitter is now Guardian
- Camaraderie is now Kinship
- Second Wind is now Renewal
- Better Together is now Situational Awareness
- Fixated is now Self-Aware
- Inner Strength is now Inner Healing
That is all they had down for survivors. I wouldn't say survivors are more powerful at all! I main pig and I can say killers are by far more powerful but most killers don't know how to use there skills or are just looking for an easy 4k sorry not sorry if you are one of those killers

Your overall sensitivity can be changed, but I am not aware that you could change only for his ADS, that is same for everyone.
His POV sucks not because of bug, but because unlike other killers that keep they normal POV while using their power, Deathslinger changes his POV like he is aiming with his gun, so it gets lowered and you don't really see anything around you.
This was always same, but noone did it before, because quick-scope was a thing. That's not possible and you are forced to deal with it.
Again, I don't care how good the killer is. My main factor to play = as that killer fun? And I don't know about you, but Deathslinger is not.
Pig and Trapper are one of the worst killers, but Pig is fun just for memes and Trapper is just super satisfying when your trap works.
Well, Trapper might not be worst killer anymore, but hard to tell.
Deathslinger will not be nowhere near close for title "worst killer", he got lower maybe like C tier for me (which is still not that bad), but he won title "least fun killer to play" for me. Which is bigger deal to me.
I'm not necessarily sure that's not what was intended I believe that alot of those playing Deathslinger were not using the perks that would benefit him so they changed him so that you would have to. I think that the devs hate useless perks and will ultimately remove them if they are not forced to be used. So my notion is that they are basically forcing you to use those things to help in other aspects to make up for the pov and ADS tho it still could be an unknown bug or possibly a setting messed up on some people computer or console. But to flat out say Deathslinger sucks when I have whiteness so many not sucking seems kinda like he is the one sucking.

The ADS cannot be changed in the settings. The generic mouse sensitivity can. No-one should have to explain to you the inherent issue here.
And for the 20th time, although now you have to hear it from a different user, the perks are not what we're complaining about. The base kit is beyond borked.
Edit: Adjusted some words as I have low faith in your reading comprehension.
F your right it can't be changed. I thought there was but I was wrong. However unless these things below have changed and do far no mention of a bug I still think its him that sucks either way if he can't use it then try something else the best way for the devs to notice something is wrong is not to use it. Sorry it took me so long to respond I'm currently looking into the ads and pov but the first guy never mentioned these things he just kept saying it sucked
Aim Down Sights (ADS):
- Activate/Deactivate ADS: 0.4/0.6 seconds
- ADS Zoom 125 %.
- ADS Camera Yaw speed (horizontal): 40 % (50 % with Gamepad)
- ADS Camera Pitch speed (vertical): 80 % (90 % with Gamepad)
- ADS Movement speed: 3.74 m/s or 93.5 % (x0.85).
- When Deathslinger is aiming at a Survivor within the maximum range of The Redeemer, that Survivor will hear a constant ringing sound that gets progressively louder the closer to the centre of Deathslinger's sights they are, warning them of an impending shot

Bet you won't get more than three hooks by the time the 5th gen is done lol
I have already played and aside from a few things it seems ok got mostly 4ks but a few got me good I accept the challenges. I like challenges! It's a shame more killers aren't like that. They just cry when they can't get kills instead of find another way. I will admit tho Trapper was the least unbalanced character I have seen. I'm happy killers got all the buffs but it's sad to see so many winning in here.

ADS sensitivity can be changed in settings. The pov is a possible bug so why say it's Deathslinger that sucks when it's obviously the devs that need to fix it. Oh I might of responded to you when I thought I was responding to someone else I apologize if I did that.

He sucks, because his base-kit sucks. How do you wanna fix his terrible ADS sensitivity and POV, his power limitations with perks and add-ons?
Some things are beyond help, unless you wanna give him add-on that will let him quick-scope again. You don't have that.
The ADS can be changed in settings pov sounds like a bug maybe. But the reason the one guy was saying he was bad was because he didn't want to try a different build. Pov could also mean that there is something wrong with camera settings. I keep getting messages from the one guy so I might of responded with the wrong message a few times. I apologize for that.

But they aren't saying that they aren't using other things. There saying the basekit is bad. Specifically the Base Terror Radius and the Aiming Pickup and Put Down speed both of which can't be changed by addons nor perks.
Those things can be changed and altered with add ons! They are forcing you to choose between add ons to make the character more balanced! NOT NERFED! He is 100% wrong the fact is that he doesn't want to use add ons or perks to help those things he wants to use add ons and perks that make it easier to find survivors or give him bonuses like speed or reload speed. You have to choose, its called balancing.

you do realize that survivors themselves don't get buffs since they are generally the perks they use right,
also in which case survior buffs entail
Vigil: Recovery bonus increased to 20/25/30% (was 10/15/20%). Added Broken, Exposed, and Oblivious to the status effects modified by the perk.
Guardian (formerly Babysitter): Added a 7% Haste status effect for the rescued survivor. Removed the Killer seeing your aura. Killer aura visibility for you increased to 8 seconds (was 4 seconds).
For the People: Reduced the duration of the Broken status effect to 80/70/60 seconds (was 110/100/90 seconds)
Windows of Opportunity: Increased effective range to 24/28/32 meters (was 20 meters). Removed cooldown after vaulting / dropping a Pallet.
Repressed Alliance: Generator repair requirement reduced to 55/50/45 seconds (was 80/70/60 seconds)
Built to Last – Reworked: After hiding inside a Locker for 14/13/12 seconds with a depleted item in hand, 99% of its charges are refilled. Each use of Built to Last reduces the amount of charges refilled by 33%. Added stinger audio when item charges are refilled
Any Means Necessary: Added effect: You can see the auras of dropped pallets
No Mither: Grunts of pain reduction increased to 25/50/75% (was 0/25/50%). Added effect: Your recovery speed is increased by 15/20/25%
all of which are buffs to potential playstyles and make a lot of perks more powerful for their slot
Yes I do realize this but it's not the reason I posted that! If you think that perks and add ons don't matter then why use them? The fact is that this guy is saying Deathslinger is bad because he choose not to use other add ons or other perks. In reality he is simply mad that he can't breeze through things like he used to the way he use to. He now must learn his character again and try new things to get the desired results. But instead of doing that he is just crying about how Deathslinger sucks.

Yes cause nobody means only me. Clearly. You know what your right. I'm the issue here. The reason deathslinger is the way he is cause of me.
Btw why did you bring up perks? At what point was perks mentioned? Literally it was deathslinger's base kit and his addons. Where are you getting perks?
It was not just brought up yes he had alot of additional Buffs and I think 1 or 2 nerfs maybe but some are more of an exchange than a nerf and others are just Reworked perks and add ons. I brought up perks because if you can't get kills with the killers main perks then switch them out with other killers perks or different add ons you are not used to using. They made perks available to different killers from different killers for a reason. Everyone has a different play style and everyone can do better with perks that best suit them and what they are trying to accomplish. If you are using a set of perks that are not doing well for you then switch them out! These guys are saying that Deathslinger it's self is bad because they choose not try other things to make it easier or to get the desired goal. Instead they say the killer is bad when it is clearly that they are just mad that they can't breeze through things anymore.

When base-kit is main issue everyone has with Deathslinger, then it doesn't matter what add-ons he has.
He was always worse Huntress, but after those nerfs, he is way worse Huntress that even feels bad to play as.
Because of longer ADS, I get same feeling as Huntress with Wind-up time addons. Problem is that unlike Huntress, Deathslinger has several limitations. He gets more punished for single miss, he can't down over pallet / far window, he has limited range, he has super tiny hitbox that is easy to dodge and his ADS sensitivity + POV just sucks, so he can't even flick.
ADS sensitivity + POV were always bad, but noone did it, because of quick-scope, so it wasn't an issue before.
Deathslinger was played by FPS players a lot, because they could use skills they already had, but that's not a thing anymore after quick-scope nerf.
Quick-scope was only thing he was better at than Trickster / Huntress, so right now, there is just no reason to play him, unless you enjoy looking at old guy with [BAD WORD] up leg, but no kink shaming.
Zoning is same as Huntress, you just hold your power, but I don't know about you, it's way easier with Huntress, because of that POV that Deathslinger gets.
You have clearly never played old, nor new Deathslinger, so why do you bother trying to act like you know what you are talking about?
Lmao say your bad at Deathslinger without saying your bad at Deathslinger! Maybe you should use different perks or add on or wait I know find a better way to play the character! Oh wait you don't know how! And I main pig but I know several Deathslinger that get me every single time. Because they don't play like the typical Deathslinger. Why? Because they played it so much that they are now expert Deathslinger players! And you bet they played with those new changes and have been MORE successful than before! So please don't pretend like it's because of the character because it's not! And it's sad that you even try to explain that it is.

What if I told you I didn't tunnel, they just think I did?
They were just upset that they lost of Fractured Cowshed. One got grabbed out of a locker early and they never really recovered from that.
If you weren't tunneling or camping then I don't see the need to worry. Maybe you feel bad that they think you were doing those things? But either way you shouldn't care what others will think of you. I say close your messages so only friends can message you block those that have wronged you and report if it gets gross or dangerous. Good luck!

That is all these forums are. Bunch of killers whining and moaning they can't kill 80% of the time. Then you get the really trash survivors coming in being like nerf trapper nerf hag or some other def not op thing they can't counter. I hate the clown and they usually kill me everytime but he's not op. Just annoying
Right! I see it all the time! Oddly enough tho I'm a killer main but I play survivor occasionally. I want the game to be fun for everyone but the moment that a killer has to try a little harder they give up and start crying. Lol I'm just like bring it on! I got this make my pig slower and blind fold her I will still 4k without camping or tunneling! It's a challenge and it seems not many killers in the dbd forum are very good at challenges.
-
If you tunnel I have no sympathy for you.. simply put those types of strategies are considered underhanded and can cause frustration and bring us down. It can cause us to loose interest in the game and take away the little fun we have. What they are doing is basically what you did in the match. You put them in a bad place mentally so why should they not do the same to you. Honestly only killers who are not very good at the game do I see camping and tunneling. But if you are doing that then you deserve everything you dished out here. I rarely ever camp a survivor I main pig and if I see someone being really toxic to me I will camp them but not often. Also this seems like if they seen it. It might mentally mess with them. I find it irritating that you think others should look out for your mental state but you don't seem to care about others.

- Is a big nerf
- Is a decent buff

- Is a nerf
- Nobody uses this
- Nobody uses this
- This is alright
- This is a bit gimmicky. It's like the crouch addons for ghostface.
- Same as the one before.
- It's alright.
Most of these are buffs but most of these buffs are so insignificant while most of the nerfs are significant.
Lmao you don't use that so he must be a bad character! Lmao I'm dying! You are bad at Deathslinger because you can't or won't use other perks or add ons! Not Deathslinger but you! Lmao

Lets say you really like apples but hate peaches. Now let's say someone steals half the apple you have in your possession, but later gives you a peach to make up for it. Does that make up for it? Obviously not because you don't care about the peach you gained, you just care about the half apple you lost.
So to is it with bringing up positive changes to other killers to someone complaining that one killer got nerfed. If the OP doesn't care about Trapper or Plague... well... they don't care. It doesn't matter to them that those two killers are going to be much better. All they care about is that Deathslinger got several barely justifiable nerfs.
Deathslinger has not in fact always been terrible. Did you miss the patch notes that said he got delays added to using his power and an 8m larger terror radius?
Also I don't think that that ad hominem argument you made at the end was necessary or productive.
You are saying that because you can't play your way its crap? Lol omg I have never seen someone think bad about a character when it's so obvious that they can't use those perks and add ons very well (most likely due to using an easy route) that they see this as the characters flaws and not their own! You don't know how to use those perks or add ons so you think Deathslinger sucks... when it's you that doesn't know or want to know another way to use that character lmao

None of that addresses the actual issue put forth by the OP. That being... Deathslinger got nerfed and now he's terrible. Every inch of what you posted is irrelevant to the discussion at hand.
The Deathslinger
- The Deathslinger must now wait for the Enter Aim animation to complete before being able to fire (0.4 seconds)
- The Deathslinger must now wait for the Exit Aim animation to complete before being able to attack (0.6 seconds)
- Increased movement speed when aiming down sights to 85% (was 75%)
- The cooldown when a survivor breaks free is now the same duration as a successful hit cooldown
- Increased terror radius to 32 meters (was 24 meters)
- Add-on – Gold Creek Whiskey: Removed movement speed penalty
- Add-on – Marshal’s Badge: Removed movement speed penalty
- Add-on – Iridescent Coin: Decreased range requirement to 12 meters (was 15 meters)
- Add-on – Wanted Poster: Decreased movement speed while aiming to 2.5% (was 10%)
- Add-on – Jaw Smasher: Decreased movement speed while aiming to 1% (was 5%)
- Reworked Add-on – Hellshire Iron: When a Survivor is speared, gain Undetectable. The effect persists for 10 seconds after the Survivor is no longer speared.
Most of these are changes in rarity not a nerf in fact most of them are BUFFS! Unless you can't read it's obvious that you are bad at playing Deathslinger.

How is irrelevant? Unless deathslinger has always been terrible that makes no sense! Also I don't think its Deathslinger that's bad I think its you that's bad. Maybe get better at that character or use different add ons or perks? Maybe play a different character? Idk whatever makes you feel better about being bad at the game.

I'm sorry if I offend someone who plays a lot with him and is sad about this horrible change, but I'm right, I saw some streamers and my friends play with him and it's horrible, before his nerf he had more action speed when reloading and aim, now and dare I say.
That this is the worst nerf of all dbd. Now he is much slower and with a great radius terror, now it is difficult to aim, I really feel a lot for those who play with him, but it is not worth playing like him in his conditions.

Dbd is not nearly as unbalanced as many people claim.
It's really on the higher and lower level of play where there are problems. And even then it's not that big of a deal.
There is no perfect balance to achieve in a assymetrical game and completly changing the core mechanics is throwing away 4 years of balancing.
I can say the same that people that are constantly asking for reworks are ruining it for people that are already enjoying the game
It is unbalanced the development team has even made statements about it in previous vids as well as in statements about bug fixes. The fact that they want to balance it means that they intend to improve on it though recently they have made few efforts to improve the balance. If they were to keep the game the same for "the ones that enjoy the game" would be completely financially irresponsible. The new platforms and allowing them to play together has helped the game. But if they didn't intend to improve on the game ie. Change it then they wouldn't get new players and the new players is were the money is. Cosmetics and graphics are top priority atm but if this game wants to be around in 5 years it will need to make balance changes and it will need to get more players. Right now as this game stands I can't reccomend it to friends simply put because of the toxic community among other things. When someone tries to make an honest effort to improve the game instead of hearing and being respectful they out right say "spoken like a survivor when the person who posted just wanted to talk about it but as I scroll through the comments I see no real ideas or help/feedback. This may not of helped you but i hope it did. Please have a good one.

It sucks when people d/c as a survivor or a killer it sucks but the developers will never punish for that.

All of these killers require a time investment to be what is effectively a basic two hit killer. At trappers core, he is weak. It takes more time to set a trap, than it takes to disarm it. That in the most basic form, is unbalanced. This is only one of the ways its unbalanced.

Dbd is completely unbalanced! i agree the hook system is a pain to work with and needs a rework, i also think its funny how some people only come here to drag people through the mud instead of giving real advice or maybe brainstorming ways to make the game better. In all honesty this game won't last if people think of this as "the best we can get" i like the hook system but I really like the idea of not having to deal with flashlight saves and camping or tunneling. Because let's face it if you have to do either of those things your not really good at this game are you? Instead of making excuses like "but dbd said its a strategy" how about you just get better at the game? Most other games do just that by improving. I like the hook method but what if we did something like they do for pyramid head just like they said above to improve the quality of the game. Rather than let it be so unbalanced and given time less than fun more toxic than enjoyable. My friends enjoy the game but no lie over time they play it less and less. I want to change that and bring new fresh players in but as long as the "i don't think you like this as much as you say people" are here they just gonna ruin it for us all. Oh and for those gonna say well the survivor should "get gud" or they have things to help with getting tunneled or camped i will remind you they don't stop it they just delay it. Also killers pips are much easier to get than survivors. Numbers don't lie!

Yes, it does mate. I've run into them. The two top rankers and the 20 were definitely in an SWF together, as the #3 and #20 explained in postgame. Their purpose was skunking lower rank players into losing pips for the same of a stream, if I recall.

I Have seen this and I think it sucks that its allowed i have also seen a YouTuber purposely tunnel and camp specific people and egg people on in chats for views. He keeps his rank low for the purpose of doing this to low or noobish players. All for the sake of a stream. I think accountability is in order. Also i don't wanna hear well camping and tunneling isn't an offense. because neither is bringing in a friend with a low rank. I don't think de-ranking is an offense either. (For anyone offended by my comment)

I would allow people to block each other to prevent getting matched up ever again with them. We have blocking in the game but it only stops them from saying things to you. I know that as a killer when I switch to survivor and one those survivors recognizes me (my name on ps4) they be salty and try to get me caught by the killer or vice versa. Either way it prevents people from being harassed in game.

I would say that if they had evidence that the tunnelling is happening then yes but not camping I just think that camping shows how bad a killer is at the game and maybe get a blood point penalty or something like a big one! Camping and tunneling doesn't make the game fun it just makes it frustrating and seriously if you have to do either of these then we know you suck lol can't get a kill with out basically cheating (yea dbd doesn't call it cheating or against the rules but we all know its cheating) don't respond to this with hate or stupid things like they have this perk to stop blah blah if you been tunneled to death you know those perks, items whatever won't stop it they just delay it. Also dbd is completely unbalanced for a game. Its fun when people who are good play but unbalanced af.
