I'll make you a deal. I'd agree to giving survivors an Abandon option if they are in the dying state for more than 60 seconds while 1 other survivor remains alive and on their feet, if killers get to Abandon the moment the EGC begins and no survivor is hooked or dying.
You can even replace the killer with a generic bare-bones chase + M1 bot. It's the end of the match, who's gonna care? The bully squads that want to force someone to watch them leave? Who gives a **** what they think anyway?
Totally okay with this.
Facing a bully squad is just as bad as facing a tunneling/slugging killer. Neither should exist, and it's insane that BHVR actually put in a decent number of perks to create that issue in the first place.
There's a big difference between strategic flashlight and sabo use and 3 people constantly running around a killer that can't even hook them like a bunch of mosquitos.
-
Well, we'll see if Jason being able to stay in OE indefinitely survives his first nerf wave. We're about to that point in BHVRs development timeline.

Like I can understand you are upset but I am not the one who hurt you. So stop trying to put words into my mouth.
No, you're defending the abilities rather than trying to figure out what the cheaters are doing. But in doing so, you're educating all of us on how these scum of the earth cheaters are manipulating what ever cheat engine they're using to be subtle and avoid getting caught.
If anything you're helping, even if you're actively being obtuse to the conversation and issues some of us experienced over the weekend.

I've been seeing survivors so new they don't know how or why to mend. It's sad that mending isn't in the tutorial as it is such a common condition.
Same, watched a couple of people fall over in the dying state this weekend for no real reason other than they didn't stop to heal quick….

I was just saying that LIthe is not guranteed escape from Bubba's chainsaw as his sweeps can last 7.5 seconds as its 2.5 seconds per token used. If the tokens are used correctly so it can easily last longer than lithe's 3 seconds.
So you're saying that there's also a cheat that allows him to have max tokens every time he turns it on. Good to know.

If he has both speed add-ons he is only 0.5m/s slower than you in his sweep while you are running with Lithe. As Lithe last only 3 seconds you in minimum only gain 1.5m distanse during that time and then you will lose that in one second after that as his speed is about 5.53m/s in his sweep and you are back to 4.0m/s.
Even without the add-ons his speed in sweep is 5.35m/s so with Lithe you gain 1.95m and again he will catch that up in 1.4 seconds.
LOL, none of those guys were running addons or aura reading and walked right up to other survivors in obscure places and lockers.
It was blatant in addition to the obvious haste movement increase. You can't catch a survivor that fast from Lithe until lithe is over, and the chainsaw swing force stops long before that, especially since how Lithe is used requires the killer to either break an obstacle or move around it, which under normal gameplay will negate that 1.4 seconds.
This was situations where it's a 2-3 second pivot for the killer to move around obstacles and myself and other survivors still got hit prior to haste burst perks even ending. Hell, I even watched one keep the chainsaw going through a pallet like it wasn't even there. I've never seen Bubba move that fast without perks (which after waiting until the trial was totally over, they didn't have).
-
@ShanoaLegendaryPlz said:
I've never seen such a high pick rate for leatherface lol him/legion/plague were nearly 70% of the matches
Well, it doesn't help that apparently there's a cheat to allow him to move twice as fast while in tantrum (or even faster), in addition to infinitely swinging his chainsaw.
Had more than one Bubba chase me down, while Lithe was active, while swinging their chainsaw this weekend.
The cheaters were out of control again, and most were playing Bubba.

It’s seriously depressing that this wasn’t addressed years ago as it’s by far the biggest problem in the game in terms of player experience. I really would like to know what other things BHVR feels they need to prioritize over fixing MMR/matchmaking, other than new content which they will always prioritize because of $. I can’t think of anything that comes close to making the game miserable as the non-functional matchmaking and skill measurement systems. Just yesterday, I queued up for dozens of solo queue lobbies and had to leave at least half of them because they had brand new players with less than 100 hours. I’ve been playing this game for years, multiple thousands of hours, have no problem escaping with competent teammates. This kind of thing of does not happen if there is a functional matchmaking system.
The difference and range of skill in the event queue is MASSIVE. I legit watched survivors just run back and forth across the map not being chased in multiple trials yesterday, completely griefing their teammates by doing nothing the whole game.

10 years and BHVR had still not made a proper tutorial of what expect or the ideal way to play. Even a short vid of how to play as this killer or how to play against this killer would help and they won't even do that.
My personal opinion is that killers need a "per killer" MMR in addition to that. Each killer is unique enough that it takes some practice to get used to their individual powers, etc.
It's why so many killers tend to get stuck on a "main" or only really play 3-4 killers and only dabble with the others. Once your killer MMR is at a certain level, there's no real opportunity to learn at all.
Survivors don't really need that, since each survivor is essentially identical with a tiny amount of variance. It's really just "what skin do you want to run or what do you want to look like in game".

Either way, the game cant tell the difference on WHY you disconnected from its servers.
This, the problem is the abandon system is EXTREMELY unforgiving and is designed to force players to play against opponents that they don't want to, rather than giving people an option or the needed out if the game crashes or you lose connection.
-
The system can't differentiate between someone legit having a network issue, BHVRs system flaking out, and someone turning off their internet intentionally to drop a game.
So everything is treated the same with this ass abandon system in place.
-
I full update and overhaul to the MMR system is badly needed, and some sort of ranking needs to be implemented for event queues as well. Right now events are just open queue with no ranking taken into account, last I heard/read.
It creates a lot of very bad situations for everyone.

This is exactly why I haven't played in 6 months. I literally have to keep a second game running on my phone or tablet when I play DBD, just to keep my attention while I bleed out for 4 minutes. LOL, who wants to play a video game where you're just forced lay on the ground repeatedly?
I've been just watching TikTok videos of DBD, they tend to be more entertaining than playing the game lately.

I should be clear I'm not opposed to anti slug in general and would not be opposed to your solution
but the 2v1 slugging I have a issue with is slugging until the bleed timer is almost done then dribbling to forced them to get up and then refusing to slug them until the other person is found. I had one where team mate came to me, pointed at hook then at me. I could of dragged it out longer but went to killer for them, because they could not leave but killer was refusing to down them anymore because they where almost bleed out and assume they where not slugged as much as other two team mates who did bleed out so he could not abandon.
killer was slugging to find me but I was making gen progress and didn't get crows.
That's the sort of 2v1 slugging I think really needs to be addressed with a fix specially for it.This, so much of a big this.
There are far far far far too many killers that encourage the "found" survivor to engage in flat out griefing of the other survivor doing a better job at hiding and avoiding crows.
And this is 100% the fault of the hatch system and the fault of the community being obsessed with 4ks and not realizing that a 3k is considered a win for the killer by BHVR.

You know, my friend group hates Singularity.
I get so surprised when survivors hate Singularity, haha. 😂 I think it's a situation where survivors don't like doing secondary killer objectives (Onryo's tapes, Pinhead's box, Skull Merchant drones, Singularity EMPs, etc).
I do not mind the little robot, but I find it a little funny when people loathe going against him. I'll take every killer over a Ghoul any day.
Blight, Nurse, Henry, all are fun for me - I do wish Blight had a longer cooldown as someone said in a post somewhere on here that Blight needed nerfs but yes, nice killer selection - there's variety there.
The one Skull Merchant I saw yesterday was an awful match. Two of the survivors immediately stood next to her the whole match.
Funny was she refused to hook them, so me and the other player that were actually doing gens, etc. got some free BP from those two.
People still automatically "go next" when they see her.

I never get confirmations or messages as a console player.
I just want a way to turn off cross play, the chances of someone jail breaking a PS5 is slim to none and not being lumped in with PC players will remove the bulk of the cheaters for console players.
-
Yea, and there are a metric ton of cheaters at the moment.
The favorite one is removing terror radius lately. (And yes I stay in game to check perks/addons to make sure.)
Not having the endgame gives these guys/gals a free pass.

Those clusters make this is the most killer sided thing they've done in the last year.
There is a near zero chance a survivor group is going to be able to overcome when all the pumps are clustered together like that.

Whether you camp at two feet away or twenty feet away, it makes no difference. Whether you camp at two feet away or twenty feet away, Survivors can rescue one person, and one makes the trade. Whether you camp at two feet away or twenty feet away, the result is the same: a guaranteed death for one Survivor, a guaranteed escape for the other three if they just bust out gens, and an INCREDIBLY boring match for all four of them.
Therefore, I fail to see why it's so important to point out that the mechanic is just for FACE camping every time it's brought up. Every. Single. Time.
Because the distance at which you camp the hook makes ZERO difference.
Because it's internet mechanics and rules lawyer speak. Players like that have to make that distinction to make general camping okay to do, because since BHVR doesn't punish it, therefore it's fair game.

I looked this up and wow. I'm disappointed there wasn't at least some mob justice but the guy just left. I recently saw an uplifting video from Japan where a whole crowd dog piled a subway groper/upskirter until the police came and one smidgen of my hope for humanity was briefly restored.
Well, in the US the guy would have been escorted out, given a premium bottled water, apologized to, put on a witness protection list, have Congressional blocking done to prevent him from being known about, the public would be gaslit into believing it didn't happen even with the video evidence, provided 1 million dollars through a Go Fund Me, and given free lawyers to defend him.
While the bulk of the public gets directed to ask, what was she wearing and why did she ask for it.
Sadly that's the country I now live in.

why are you full team slugging at 5 gens. Like you’re part of the reason this game is so miserable.
Yep, and 100% proved the point I was trying to make. Why should survivors be punished for not wanting to stay in a game that is an obvious loss.
-
The bulk of the DCs I've seen (and done myself) are related to slugging and hard tunneling.
3+ gens and everyone is on the ground rather than hooking someone. Yea, people are going to say screw this.
The player that gets unhooked and 2 others are near by or a gen that someone is working on is near, but magically the killer decides to go right after the person they hooked again. Yea, that person has a high chance of saying screw this.
We've been warning that this behavior by killer players was going to snowball, we've been begging BHVR to do something about the toxic play, but nothing has been done except lip service from BHVR and killers amping up the problem.
Y'all screamed about the anti-tunnel/slug changes that would have started to heal the game, and now you're complaining about the results of doing nothing.
Until real change is implemented to curb the toxic killer behavior this is only going to get worse.
-
I just want to know why everyone seems to be playing the event so freaking sweaty. It's like, sheesh, goof off and have fun for once, stop playing this like it's Monday Night Football.

Just to update here, I managed to get 9 hooks on void, I played for 4 hours straight and I only got 9 hooks, one time I will complete it but I just hate challenges where its not on you, you have to be lucky to have a survivor to be lost on the void and kill them there, I just lost so many hooks because they could leave the void before I down them, it’s so frustrating.
I just finished it, after hours of play on my killer main.
The key problem is that there just isn't enough reason to go into the void as a survivor. It also doesn't help that it takes close to a full bar to get a crystal, and that for both killers and survivors it's a slow start to get going. If the match is happening fast, you don't even get a chance to do anything related to the event.
It's also been a heavy survivor night. The 1.5x bonus for killer has been up for a long time, and if you're hitting a SWF (which seems to be about every 4th match) they'll have the game done before you can blink.

Are you talking about the updated map? Have you noticed that every location where pallets were added at the map's edges is connected to a nearby hut, pallet loop, or windows? This makes the decision to kill or not kill heavily favor the survivors. Right now, playing as M1 Killer in a ritual leaves me utterly exhausted from having to make too many decisions and strategic plays around each pallet.
So, break chase and patrol other gens… You don't have to down on every chase, especially because you have to be careful with that first person you find… More often than not, they're a looper and want to be chased. Find the limp sheep.
Besides no, it's not "every location", it's random. RNG man.

Yea, there are still a ton of dead zones depending on the map, and areas with a crazy number of pallets in others. Most of the pallet adds seem to be at the edge of the maps in general. It's really map dependent.

I like doctor too he gets great info so you dont need info perks and solid antiloop but he is dependent on discipline addonsand ping if you want your shock to work in chase plus now the increased number of paletts doesnt help him either.
Take the pallet hallucination perk, that number of pallets becomes an advantage late game when a survivor loops into nothing.

Play meta s-tier (high end killers so high a-tiers too like dracula, ghoul, larry) or go find friends to play survivor with or third option suffer between these two entities.
I, personally, am a fan of the Doctor. You get to know where everyone is darn near at all times with the right build. Most survivors don't know how to play stealth properly, so you can just follow the hallucinations to where they are, or healing.

I have no idea why they feel like he needs to be buffed, his changes were sort of a buff with the "on demand" things. I guess he's not broken yet, so yea, BHVR will keep buffing him.

The AFK crows are so easily delayed and bypassed that I’ve literally not seen a survivor with 3 crows in literal months of playing the game.
How on earth can you twist that to “not as fast as I want”? So you would be ok if the anti-tunneling changes were nerfed so badly that you never ever saw them activate? And if you complain, I could say “they do work, just not as fast as “”you”” want”???
I never said that. The crows work fine, I've seen them work properly several times. When there's one gen left and two players, no, it's not easy to prevent 3 crows. Good killers who are patrolling gens will keep survivors from being on them for the time needed to get rid of them. I've had hour long games in the last month, it still happens with two really good hide and seek survivors.
Honestly, if you're not seeing them, then you're either putting proper pressure on the survivors and they're always engaged or something else is going on. Because they work right.
The Anti-tunnel/slug stuff was fine imo with 2 changes; 5 hooks and 15% speed increase. Those were really mechanically the only two things that I felt were unreasonable, as 6 hooks is a big ask and 25% is way too much. Again imo.

I think you didnt lost OTR while you have touched gen or do other conspicious action unlike ds which you will loose but can be used agressively with bodyblocks (mostly healed or survivor with some edurence effect will bodyblock and try to get chase when he has ds and then jump into locker to not force slug but its more of a swf which is using this).
Totally, which seems to be how they're balancing survivors.
Kind of like the old MMO saying in PVP, "Raid or die". In DBD it's, join a SWF or uninstall.

Seriously, would that make you happier? Because I’ve literally never seen a survivor with 3 AFK crows since the nerfs happened months ago.
I've gotten them while doing the "last two survivors hide and seek" several times, also seen them as a killer. (Although I didn't know what the heck was going on the first time, I just thought the player was being a schmuck)

Pretty much. It's why OTR needed the 80 seconds, it prevented killers from chasing you for darn near an entire gen or at least hurt them from doing so. But even after the nerf to it was, ahem, "fixed" it was still a killer buff.

Which is impossible since BHVR fully owns the copyright to TCOFS. SM have no legal rights to it or to how bhvr use the game, since SM were just hired to develop it for them.
The same way SM were only hired to develop The Quarry for 2K and Until Dawn for Sony.
The Dark Pictures Anthology is the only real thing that SM actually owns.
That's not entirely true, but okay then.

The only thing I can think of is that there might be a licensing conflict with Supermassive. SM and Sony but heads quite a bit anymore and SM is getting tired of being pushed around after Sony yanked Until Dawn from them.
