Ofc not! Only counter against him is to pre drop and hope it stuns which is so hard because his dash speed is too fast similar to Pig
-
true, it's annoying
-
Abandon feature can save it only since devs aren't competent enough in coding their servers and yeah game is crazy killer sided rn with all the new unloopable trash filler pallets that can't be chained plus 2 medkit addons are dead even styptic for no reason
-
Use Vees perk for skillchecks or toolbox with max charges you can also use streetwise from Nea (she is free) to loot chests to get toolboxes with more charges🤗
-
To have miserable matches against anti-loop, dash slop killers😏 and also for rift pass with rewards from events😘
-
Each week there is should be an an option to ban certain killers (max 5), for example 1 week without a Blight and next week you have to pick some other killers and on next week you can choose Blight again, many survivors will enjoy it and those who wants to play against Blight can get more rewards and full man swfs should not have such option, give that option to solo/duos/trios

No no the Abbandon Button can stay and it is "goodish" but it can be really frustrating from time to time.
My favorite example to this was a game where I ran Deliverance, DS, Mft and Wglf. One gen left and 3 survivors down. I get hooked, jump off the hook and pick up. Well sadly i picked up three bots. Good come back storys get butcherd.
My point is we need to stop stretching things. Yes they might be not perfect. But if we start to say ping is 80 so you can dodge, the next one can demand "no we need the button when ping is 70" or "No this hit was invalid we should abbandon"
This escalates to much.
They said they are gonna add visible perks in feb-march so it won't be an issue, I hope visible perks will shows current perks status like if player has an activated Deli or MFT

@Leon_van_Straken said:
Could we maybe not demand to overuse the abbandon button?
It was a good idea to implement it to escape from lost games like 4 man slug or all survivors hooked on second stage. But the definition of the abbandon button gets strechted more and more and makes this game kinda unplayable.
Sorry, but this is the only option because I don't see any improvement in the fight against killers who abuse ping for an unfair advantage😭

maybe not 80+, i’d say 120+ because although 80 can be annoying, it’s not nearly as game changing as 120+ ping can be.
Sorry dear anything above 70ms is affecting looping and gives a coup de grace perk for free so killers have free 5th perk
P.S. You can downvote it too I don't mind because I know you love me🤗

I've seen a few suggestions that instead of infection being removed completely when being hooked, it'll be transferred to the unhooker when you get unhooked instead.
Not sure how fun that'd be but it seems reasonable on paper.

Ya, I've seen the suggestion and would for sure be OK testing it out. Agree that it seems reasonable on paper but things that look like a nerf on paper have turned out to be a buff. Hard to say exactly how that one change would snowball out, still worth a try.
They can buff her a bit but only after her hitbox will be fixed so we won't get hit from miles away and after a vault

They should just revert everything and bring back giving up on hook and the old DC penalty system. Genuinely, I cannot name anything the Abandon feature has done other than try to come up with legal ways of giving up and it can't. We're back to the same position as we were before with just a few more hoops to jump through. Until the game is fixed (which will probably be never—this year has been the ultimate testament toward that), we need ways to overcome messy situations that are a result of the state of the game. If it's abused, then it's abused. Just another drop in the bucket. Taking it away entirely is more harmful in the long run, in my opinion.
Yes, the new penalties are just crazy, I liked the previous one where you could wait a couple of days, that was more reasonable, they should have kept both of them so that those who play often don't have to wait for a long time and get their penalties removed even though it should be max 5 matches for 1 penalty point not obnoxious 20 matches
P.S. Those who downvote are apparently old people who don't want any new drastic changes in the game, especially the local killer mains here

true, but it should be fixed his hits are client sided so he can manipulate his ping while pressing m2 and grab survivors through the pallet

The update wasnt perfect but it was true that the devs had no backbone because killers refused to learn and adapt more than just "slug/tunnel".
They easily could've keept the anti-slug and anti-camp feature, but once again refused because of very situational scenarios that bhvr for some reason cant just work around to any problem that killers threw out to refuse to go through with it.
nerf sabos and learn to dodge and pick up in wierd angles, fake pick ups, you can still slug if you need to, you dont need to excessively slug for no reason. Flashlight saves have never been fairer since the flashbang nerf and BGP nerf.
As if the 60% killrate wouldnt have been adjusted with more killer buffs or perk buffs down the line, if it really was "this bad".
The 50h killer vs 1k hour survivor experince makes no sense and why no one bothers to play survivor if there arent any interesting modes or perks to compensate, the queue times are proof of that. It would never be this long for killer if it was "fair and balanced" for both sides.
But no outrage for kaneki. Pathetic.
True, I had a ton of matches against Myers today, I don't understand why he's so hyped? And yes, of course, we barely made it to 1 gen as solo players. He's simply impossible to loop on mid-range loops, especially when he freezes a pallet in an event, you just get hit (and it's unfair 1 shot too), it's so annoying. And there have been so many slugging killers lately especially at end game when 3 survivors left, I don't understand why they haven't added anti slug measure they should stop pleasing killer mains!

No, we do not want to slow her down more. She is exactly as fast in traversing the map as Trapper is. This is due to her already slow base movement speed of 92.5%, and her charging up a maximum blink, including the following fatigue, is enough to offset the time needed to cover the same distance.
The green add-on could be reworked if it is deemed to be problematic, but I don't know anyone else who has complained about it.
The general consensus is that Nurse needs a Blindness status when she is charging a blink, so that she has to do some guesswork (aura blocking). And I mean, counterplaying a Nurse, especially without aura reads is not that hard.
All you need to do is to break line of sight, and she is forced to follow you blindly, not knowing if you turned back or not.
Also, if you run Iron Will, she will have a hard time tracking you if you are already injuredbut then they can increase her walking speed, but the blinks should be weaker, it's already used similar to cheaters who walk through walls

Instead of spamming the forum with many smaller threads, why not make a megathread of what YOU think should be done to better the survivor experience. I'm not being rude, I am only trying to help.Yes, Dashslop Myers is unfun to verse.
I'm playing right now, so I'm typing this thread while waiting for a lobby, because I can't remember everything at once, so I'll start a thread about it! And yes, I've already played against a bunch of Shapes, no one can escape against him or max we are all dead at 1 gen. Some matches survivors even give up and I understand them, even if we loop him long enough, his clutch power doesn't end, for me 60 seconds is too long, and his m2 dash speed is so fast that it's impossible to stun him unless your ping is 10ms and killers ping similar

I think a less heavy-handed way of addressing this might be to make it that some of the strongest Killer perks deactivate once a Survivor is dead, like Hex: Ruin used to. If a Killer wants to tunnel early to try and guarantee a win, that's their prerogative, but then they shouldn't also get to benefit from really powerful slowdown or regression like Pain Res, Grim Embrace and Dead Man's Switch on top of having a numbers advantage. That way there is an *optional* system of disincentive for tunnelling that doesn't just punish Killers for existing like the previous attempts at universal anti-tunnelling changes did. It would also help if they buffed some of the weak Killer perks that rely on spreading pressure to function, like Ravenous, Dying Light, Thanatophobia, Furtive Chase, Hex: Huntress' Lullaby, Friends Till The End etc.
true he should be weaker and endgame perks should get nuked too if he tunnels from the start or at early game

2-5 gens is mid to late game 4-5 is early game
And what else is the killer supposed to do in endgame besides slugging and camping? Waddle around the map to find the tbagging sable at the exit gate?
It's funny to read the comments about tbags, like teenagers, honestly, who get offended by all sorts of nonsense. If you're so scared to look at them, either look at the wall or watch youtube or better grow up.
-
Basekit auto BNP in such cases is a must, it should remove -20 charges each time survivor dies at early game when 2-5 gens left so survivors have some hope and killers will be afraid to tunnel as for slugging they should've release one that was from last ptb because I see a lot of slugging lately too
And if 3 or less survivors left killers endgame perks should be weaker too since they tend to camp/tunnel from the start to destroys rest survivors easily at endgame

It'd be hillarious to see people's reaction to the entity-send revelation that its not the killer's fault that "solo" sucks.

It isn't about reaction time, its about distances, which latency effects as well. This game is built around survivors maintaining a safe distance from the killer using the few resources available to them. Every bit of latency on both sides alters the distance between the survivor and killer. You may already know this but, to some extent each client has to "predict" what the other side is going to do to at least partially compensate for latency, this is why when someone lags out you see them continuously run into a wall, your client is still predicting their movement and since it hasn't received a command to change direction the player continues to run in whatever direction your client last knew they were running in. The higher the latency the further off this prediction becomes. This positioning gets reconciled occasionally and may look like a teleport if it is particularly off but that too is effected by latency.
A survivor can get hit past a vault because it looks like a reasonable hit on the killers client but not because of reaction time It happens because the vault is literally happening later on the killers client and you weren't actually at a safe distance to vault but only from the killer clients perspective, to them you are getting hit mid vault. No reaction time can save you from that.
Its hard to say how much of this is actually just due to latency, how much is attributable to the servers, and how much is because of the code that predicts movements but the net sum is hits that shouldn't happen occurring at a lower latency than you might expect from other games. There just isn't a large margin for error. I personally start getting hit as I am sliding off the other end of a pallet at somewhere around 100 ping on the killer, my own ping tends to sit around 35.
All of this would potentially be fine if survivors respawned or had many health states but you can be dead and out of the match in as few as 4 hits. It messes with any muscle memory you may have built up about how much distance is safe at known structures and interferes with learning it in the first place. Tiny differences in distance are all that separate a hit from a miss and it can make all the difference if you are being tunneled out.
I'm not going to put a specific number on what is reasonable because a lot of factors could potentially be altered and there is some amount that you do just have to accept as always going to exist in an online game. However, we do at least need to stop incentivizing high ping and bad hits, it makes the game much more frustrating than it needs to be. Some killers might think more survivors are bad than actually are solely because they get hits that they shouldn't due to not realizing how much their high ping is helping them.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4041781#Comment_4041781
There are situations where the killers bad ping does in fact hurt them. Gen grabs appear to be effected by both the ping of the killer and the ping of the survivor being grabbed. I have personally gotten completion of a gen grab quest where I clearly initiated a grab and then the animation stopped and the survivor ran off. Some killer powers stop responding properly beyond a certain threshold. I also had a kind of funny match against a springtrap with really high ping, I got to watch him stand at generators and pallets for a full half minute before they actually completed the action.
Well, it might hurt some killers if they try to shoot from afar, but at close range you're unlikely to counter it after you vault or go behind a wall

I'm not talking about latency over 200 where people are teleporting around. I'm saying that 80-120 is not that. Visual desync doesn't occur that badly except for cases where visual representations are misleading, like how survivors lean forward but their hurtbox does not and they get hit by a projectile that has a larger hurtbox than its visual. I've played on (what I assume to be) a western european server without issues that bad, and that was generally in the range of around 130.
You're repeating the same thing over and over again like a parrot I explained it to you above. I played against a Krasue with 120 ping, and she hit me with power after I vaulted (I even touched a ground), and this happened several times during the match, is this fair to you?! The same thing happened with Spirit, who had 90-100ms, and she always hit me after m2, even after vaulting a pallet.
-
Nothing good only stuff to please killer mains, trash design killers like Ghoul, Krasue which are super boring to face, trash perks on TWD chars, countless bugs and awful new DC penalty that forces you to play 20 matches in a row to remove 1 penalty point, scratches are mid - red is still better on all maps. Overbuffed Shape that really wants me to not play that match and just hit abandon option as soon as available
-
@Wezqu said:
Its not just her who does things like that had a Nurse earlier today that noway was in the distance to hit me after a blink and still downed me looked really janky. Even the Nurse did double take when she saw where I was downed compared where she hit.
So, if a killer has a constantly high ping or a severe ping spike for even a few minutes (or everytime chase starts because some can abuse it for unfair hits with 3rd party soft), there should be a "abandon" feature. Since the devs as always can't fix it, they should allow players to leave matches without a penalty (which is very harsh now 5 min on 2nd followed by 20 matches to remove it). Why should we tolerate this VPN-using killer's ego? It's literally two free perks for him.
-
@Ryuhi said:
I know killers can be a problem with super high ping, but are we really pretending that 80-120 is considered unplayable ping? Thats pretty normal for the lengths of your average regional distance to server locations paired with average internet connections in countries like North America. Not ideal, but not exactly the same as 200+.
It's bad for the survivor, but not for the killer, because when he's close to the survivor, he do unreal hits when the action is already completed on the survivor's side. The same thing applies to their powers. So if the devs can't fix this, then let them add the abandon feature since they've started adding it to everywhere.
-

The problem is Epic players have a bad rep due to Epic being commonly used by cheaters. Many people on steam will lobby dodge epic players for this reason.
i first started on console, then played on pc gamepass but a lot of steam players say i had a globe and could type in chat so assumed i was Epic player and dodged. now i play on steam. people still lobby dodge but not as much because they can now see im on steam and can see my profile.
I wish i could say these views of Epic players have no basis but unfortunately, i have also noticed the majority of Epic players are cheaters or griefers. last night, my first match of the year, 2 Epic players griefing, body blocking to trap the team next to a gen. not long before that, Epic player was cheating using hacks. they get banned and just make a new account on Epic.
My advice, move away from Epic and get the game on steam…its far better, less people dodge and you can see peoples profile and interact more with the community.
Nobody dodges me, I use anonymous mode and only post after the match. The problem is, I only want to play with PC users not braindead console players who apparently drunk😂, meaning only Steam/Epic and Microsoft Store users, but the game only lets me play with players from my platform when I enable crossplay off.
You're wrong about cheaters in Epic Games, I've seen it a lot (they don't have a globe icon) of them and they didn't cheat at all, and they played even good! Cheaters now mostly use pc gamepass (as u mentioned) share on the msstore because accounts there are super cheap (penny), because they say Epic Games accounts aren't that cheap anymore. I admit, I started playing DBD myself when I got it for free on Epic Games, so it was also useful for attracting legit players like me. -

That's right, devs need to learn design from us, we've already made so many suggestions here. Why not create a survey for every suggestion in the game? At least the survivors will express their opinions too there because mostly killer mains post here are distorting the truth.

"killer is chasing is me, someone is over there doing a gen…..do i go away from the gen worker or head to them and hope the killer goes for them instead". i just walk away and do a different gen, if they get hooked they get hooked….if they get saved they get saved but im going to do my gen lol

She’s incredibly weak in aspects in head form she’s completely useless at certain loops and her nerf to her wind up and collision really hurt her strength
Keeping people infected is also tough cause of hooks and mushrooms she’s simply in a weird state where she feels incredibly weak yet people still think she’s strong
@ReverseVelocity said:
She's just not a very well designed killer, and this is the only thing she has going for her at this point.
She suffers incredibly from bodyblocking, has to essentially eat a 5s stun to deal with pallets she can't mindgame, and has trouble keeping infection going ever since her nerf.
While she's crazy in chase, she's super easy to counter from a macro perspective. One bodyblocker can cause her so much trouble. She somehow manages to be able to be super unfun for both sides at her extremes.
This doesn't justify the fact that she should have such an unfair hitboxes, especially when everyone I face plays has 100 ping, here you are both completely wrong and speak from the point of view of the killer and don't forget solos can't bodyblock like that and play optimal

I have enough of a picture just playing against the Strike version. It's not that you can't tell he's using it, it's that when he pops it in your face it's almost undodgeable. Unless you're running WoO and RNG blesses you with a zillion pallets then you're kinda screwed. If you compare an instadown that's almost impossible to not land to something like Pig or Wesker's dash attacks, which are super jukable and aren't even instadowns, it's seems pretty gross. I don't understand why everyone wants everything to be so easy now.
I completely agree, he's a 0 skill killer and those above him who support him are just completely blind, it's easy to play and insta down as him, especially with good addon it's significantly easier! Something is wrong here and the devs should pay attention to this, it's not surprise that I often play against him because he is braindead easy to use killer, it's already annoying, it's a shame there is no killer ban list in the game, I would add him there first of all

No joke why he was easy to loop when he was just m1 killer with nothing to help him in chase (15% vault speed in tier 3 and 2 but than just m1), all that carryed him was tombstone. Now he has actualy something to play with always and doesnt feel so bad and punishing if you dont have tombstone as he was before.
If the killers are taking so long to hit, then the problem is theirs alone, because the devs specifically nerfed the pallets on most maps for you to make it easier for you to catch survs.

I'm not interested in your incomprehensible and funny killer "tiers". Almost all killers can be mastered if players practice well. And Myers is by no means an average killer; he's overpowered, especially when paired with certain add-ons and perks (new meta Friends till The End + Nemesis + Furtive Chase is so strong on him).
