Just yesterday I wrote in chat "I wish I was able to get the crystal before you killed me but it's all good. GLHF next" The word killed in my sentence was censored yet a few games later I wrote "Always happy to die to a SH fan" and die in my sentence was not censored.
Very inconsistent.
I've played this game since 2018 on and off. The worst incident for me was when I tried to say "cheese" but it was censored. It's still funny to me today. Can't recall when exactly it happened, but I remember it clear as day.

He shouldn't need to run a perk for a 24m TR. Prerunning against him is too strong at the moment.
Looking at the new killer and Ghoul, it's honestly ridiculous how big the difference can be between killers, for how large the reward is compared to the amount of effort or skill you have to apply. I agree with you.

Its like it's 2017 again.

Her infection doesn't bounce according to physics. It bounces to automatically track survivors.
Would this accurately work in a chase, say you always tried to bounce the attack at the wall nearest to the survivors current location, does it consistently hit them as they're moving?

I have seen non-stop complaint about the Krasue ever since she went live and I'm honestly tired of it. Everyone is saying "she doesn't have counterplay." She actually does, but it is far too early to find something concrete. We're adults, not entitled toddlers who need instant gratification without the effort. She isn't S-Tier, nor does she rival Nurse. No one has ever threatened Nurse in 9 years. She is mid to low A at best, high to mid B at worst.
If you're struggling against her, learn to loop better. Her head form is difficult to control and vaults much slower than survivors. Keep yourself un-Leeched, and you're golden. My SWF and I go against P100s and run circles around them, Krasue is no different. Play the game and get better before posting to the forums
Nurse has more counterplay than Krasue. Krasues lunge is busted with head mode, and she moves insanely fast with Headlong Flight. She can also attack or vault very fast coming out of it.
-
I read the patch notes and I saw that in tier 2 his lunge is longer now, but in tier 3 it's the default range, just makes no sense to me.

@ReverseVelocity said:
Monitor getting nerfed should mean he gets his 24m TR back now.
With the new and old Monitor & Abuse the reduction in terror radius out of the chase is the same with 32m, and in-chase it actually extends less than before. So for 32m terror radius killers Monitor has actually been buffed.
-
Nurse is the best killer in the game there's no doubt about that, and in theory Nurse could always end the chase super fast. But if she doesn't see you, she has to guess your position. So it's not black and white. Krasue gets an insane speed boost with power creep, she can also directly vault from a power creep to change back to head mode very fast, and just get an easy hit with the busted lunge. Same goes for pallets if you're infected, she vaults the pallet with a minor cooldown, and gets the hit with the busted lunge. Krasue doesnt even need to spit on you to infect you. Nurse is better in theory but Krasue has no counterplay.

"Someone else will go for the save."

Scene Partner in 2v8 would be amazing.
-
The experience varied, I think in the later parts of time-before-MMR I personally did always go against players with similiar ranks. I think removing of visible rank to others was unfortunate though. Of course, reaching rank 1 in DBD was always super easy if you were to compare how hard it would be to get the highest rank in actual competitive games.
-
Blight is meta, extremely strong killer, but easier and much more consistent compared to Nurse. Spirit was the same, back when Spirit had collision when she was shifting. Almost everyone played Spirit.

Let me use one of your statements against you. Just because you want it to stay exclusive, doesn't mean you get what you want.
Except it doesn't work this way, since the devs have already stated they want to keep legacy skins exclusive (not literally, just that they won't bring them back) and have no intention of bringing them back. And you/some other people want them to change their minds. Also yes, I know about the fact how they made some old event cosmetics meaningless by giving them to everyone, I mentioned this. Doesn't mean they will ruin legacy skins as well.

I have never played in a game where a legacy skin player wasn't a blatant hacker. If anything, they're a red flag. I lobby dodge them every time now although they're rare to see.

The current legacy skins would lose their "value" or "wow" effect
The only value they provide is letting me know I should dodge someone because they're almost certainly a cheater lol.

I don't think you understand how storage space works eitherLOL. If you really believe that, it's not my position or duty to change your mind. All I will do in response is smile and look at all the IT certifications I have hanging on my wall. I have reduced AWS costs for my organization IRL. Over time, even small costs add up. There is not much difference between a collection of logs I am legally required to maintain and an outfit in a video game.
As BHVR is learning right now with the community, it is important to think long term and to examine what ghosts are in the closet.

The only real value Legacy has is the exclusivity. … The reputation hit wouldn't be worth it, especially considering that the only thing giving Legacy any sort of status is the fact that it's, well, legacy.https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3882067#Comment_3882067
I mean this with a lot of respect, but … what value? These cosmetics are largely unused and are relatively unknown. If you showed a sample Legacy outfit to a group of players, how many would actually know what it means and appreciate it? There is a difference between people who would be upset by the change … and people who are upset by the change on behalf of other people.
If you weren't playing the game when they were available, why should you deserve to have the skins now? Like someone else in the thread said, you can not always have what you want. They already ruined some old event cosmetics some years back by making them available to everyone.

Did you even read the discussion?
I didn't need to. The current legacy skins would lose their "value" or "wow" effect from them being so rare if you'd just be able to get them by reaching P100. New skins, that's a different story.
-
Hell nah. Exclusivity makes cosmetics special.
-
Even after all these years the game is still fun to me, it has no competition and I love the goofy aspects of it. That said, 2v8 was a lot of fun too.
-
This reminds me of Puppers's random perk streams. Good times.
-
If you're that worried about SWFs just play Blight… Youll get easy 4ks with not a lot of effort.
-
You should be complaining about Dracula instead, because just one aspect of his power is just an arguably easier version of Pyramid Head's power.
-
The game has never been so easy for killer. Just play as Blight, use the sweatiest perks, and get 4ks effortlessly almost every time.
-
Yeah I agree with you completely. It can censor regular words, and sometimes it actually changes it's mind on whether to censor a certain word or not, which is the strangest thing to me. It would probably be easier for them to just blacklist the worst words and outside of that let people talk how they want. You can disable chat or report if people can't behave.

"why do killers tunnel survivors out?!!"
"why do killers get 1 hook on everybody?!!!"
survivors can't be saved. you guys will always complain.
The issue is how well the perk pairs with Pain Resonance and Dead Man's Switch, both some of the strongest killer perks in the game. Killers are carried by the combination of these, or one of them + Grim Embrace so often in my experience, they can completely turn the game around and there's not a lot survivors can do. Especially if it's one of those killer players that treat public matches like they're playing competitive.
The counter to these perks would be lasting a long time in a chase but many killers are designed so it's extremely hard to do that, or you'd need to get lucky for it to happen. Also the sweats running this build are going to tunnel regardless, but that's a different story, survivors have decent perks to counter tunneling,
Pain Res and DMS can somewhat be countered, but Grim Embrace forces the gen to be blocked, which will force Dead Man's Switch to be activated, which is some BS, and there's nothing you can do against it. You'll be forced to switch gens and start again, which takes a lot of time.

A better solution would be for BHVR to overhaul the terrible bloodweb system. The button to auto-buy for each level was a good improvement, but there needs to be a better way to spend a large number of BP in one sitting. It's still super boring and a huge waste of time. Not to mention all the useless items, add-ons and offerings that nobody ever uses. The whole thing needs a major overhaul.
They just need to implement a quick and easy "spend all"- button.

@HolyDarky said:
Blocking generator perks are in general weaker than regression generator perks because the survivors don't lose any progress. In case of Grim Embrace, the killer has to hook all four survivors to get the 40 seconds. So if the killer has three stacks, the fourth one can just play really carefully to deny the 40 seconds. This is the main counterplay. There is also the chance that one of the survivor plays really good and is in the end more of a time waste than a time win. During the time of blocked generators, the survivor can use the time to heal or reposition theirself.
The Perk is strong but the killer has to work for it and survivors have counterplay or the option to make the stacks difficult to get.
If the gens wouldn't have been blocked, there could be a lot of progress done, so in that sense they do lose progress, but I guess trying to avoid being the 4th stack at all costs is the best choice of counterplay as you said.

Discrimination? Kidding me? You're talking to people that removed in-game cosmetics permanently because of racist trolls trolling Twitch streamers.

This is only on Ultra, as far as I'm aware. It's a post-processing effect, much like the awful bloom that you also get on Ultra.
You can disable it by navigating to:
C:\Users\[YOUR WINDOWS USERNAME]\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Config\WindowsClient\GameUserSettings.ini
Then set sg.PostProcessQuality to 0, so it looks like this:
sg.PostProcessQuality=0
0 = Low, 1 = Medium, 2 = High, 3 = Ultra
Keep everything else on 3 or whatever setting you want.
(This is for Steam, it might be different for Epic, MS, etc. RIP console users)
Post processing is always the first thing to turn off in any game, especially motion blur.
It is inexcusable that DBD still only has the most basic graphics options in-game.
I'm a little late, but this helped tremendously. Not only did this disable the motion blur filter, the game itself looks more clear now, and runs clearly better. I appreciate it.

Problem was his dash was already kinda easy to dodge now it being slower and more frequent means easier dodges and longer chases even if the chucky player is good.
I'll need to play as him some more to experiment.

no, he isn't, he lost all of his chase potencial, it's to easy to react his dash now, he still is 4.4 moviment speed, and has a large cooldown
Still a very good killer. His dash doesn't get collision from objects which is a huge win for him.

Rancid is a free win and its not close. This is not an uncommon gen layout, with a useless hill and a useless harvester in the middle. I think there might have even been a 4th gen behind me on the same side. The other maps were tolerable before the new tiles started being added, but at this point the entire realm is killer sided.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/OTE3SJHS4KPM/coldwind-3-gen.png
I go back between Cowshed and Rancid Abattoir, Rancid Abattoir has absolute dogshit tile spawns usually, but Cowshed is so comically small, or at least it seems so, that it feels like a stadium.
-
Because someone wanted to nerf Coldwinds a little too heavily.
-
Leave them be, they want attention so I won't give it to them until I have to.
-
I had a Nurse bot just like this one as well. I don't think they're real players, but bots which someone sends to do this over and over.

That makes the game look better. Like, what?
It's only purpose is to make moving things blurrier, it has zero purpose. This very poor sharpness/clarity in motion leads to the image looking smoother due to "softer" transitions from a frame to another, except the image really isn't smoother and it's an illusion, the framerate is the same.
-
I noticed the same thing, it's gotta be a bug.
-
Being able to even out hooks and/or prevent people from dying on their next hook is a big deal. Also it encourages camping, going back to the hook after a save, if you don't go back to the hook to down (or try to) down the savior, you're enabling the survivors plan to use it to even out the hooks or extend life of a survivor, and if you do, then you're taking pressure away from the gens. The real counter for this perk is camping, this perk specifically exists (from a killers perspective) to make camping a stronger strategy.
I'll give it a week before the forums flood with posts about this perk. It's like Made For This all over again.
-
Even before I tried the perk I knew it was going to be a problem. Being able to even out the hook stages is a huge deal, and will become meta unless nerfed.
-
Being able to even out the hookstages is still incredibly strong and shouldn't be a thing if you ask me.
-
Old movement + animations + old sound design + restore SSAA (increasing resolution scaling above 100%) is all I need.

Why is it a dpi exploit? I constantly play on 1650 dpi and can flick 180° quite consistently. I just have to throw my mouse around. But I think that he would drop at least one tier when they remove his ability to 180. Would be very easy to outplay on many loops. Just rund around a 180 corner.
I'm talking about how some people jack up the dpi to very high numbers like 10k+ for example right before they're about to swing with their power, just like with Blight, and for some reason the game allows you to turn more this way. Also Oni doesn't get collision from walls, so you can already position your camera towards the survivor on the opposite side of the wall and dash. This will reduce the amount you need to turn a lot.
-
Because reaching the highest MMR is not very difficult in a game like this, if you were to compare the ranking system to something like CS or Valorant for example.
-
Don't know which variant of "old Haddonfield" you're talking about, the actual old variant was disgustingly strong for survivors, however now it's the complete opposite. But I do agree Haddonfield and some Coldwind maps could benefit from buffs for the survivor side in my opinion.
-
splurgh OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOO
-
I agree completely, it's laughably bad, and if you're facing a killer like Blight for example, it's a painful experience as a survivor.
-
Because her kill rate still isn't as high as the others, because she is not as easy to play.
-
I still feel like a good Billy is easier to counter than a good Blight.
-
I beg your pardon?
I beg your pardon?
-
Wouldn't be the same without the old movement. (Which was better, by the way).
-
I recently bought Chucky and I gotta say he is easily my favorite killer to play as. The appearance, the voice lines, his game mechanics are all very fun/funny.
