An option to disable it would be nice. Don't see why it needs to be mandatory. I'd prefer seeing what people write instead of "***** ***** *** *".16 comments 181 views last activity

The chat filter has been notoriously inaccurate for a long time now, censoring words and sentences that don't make sense. It's inadequate. An option to turn it off would be nice.3 comments 31 views last activity

First game against Freddy I instantly noticed more stutters than usual, anyone else had the same issue? UE5 is known to cause stutters, however usually DBD doesn't stutter as much as when I faced Freddy couple times earlier today.2 comments 81 views last activity

What exactly are survivors supposed to do over 40 seconds of no gens? Why would a killer not run a perk like this if they want to win? Say 1 person would be getting chased for the 40 seconds, if the other 3 would be available to do gens, that's 1,333… worth of gen progression lost for the survivors (best case scenario) and there's not a lot survivors can do to prevent this. *Also I completely fo35 comments 1,983 views last activity

Just figured out you can inject SMAA through Reshade. It's good for removing aliasing, since it doesn't cause motion blur like TAA. However if I recalled correctly it became forbidden to use it at some point, is it still so?0 comments 51 views last activity

Since the latest update they've added an obnoxious motion blur filter to everything outside the actual gameplay, and there's no way to turn it off. I can pretty confidently say the majority of gamers would turn it off in every instance, given the option.23 comments 831 views last activity

Title explains it pretty perfectly, it's unbelievably hard to hear survivor footsteps sometimes, because the chase music volume is so unbearably loud in comparision, that turning the volume up would hurt your ears. I don't remember when this changed, but I know for a fact some years ago (maybe around 2020), survivor sounds were a lot easier to hear in a chase.1 comments 91 views last activity

I gotta tell ya, this is the second time in quite a short while Ive posted about Coldwinds. I think Thompson house might be the only exception, thanks to the main structure that hasnt been butchered yet. I don't know about what you guys think, but I think Coldwinds are too weak for survivor in general. Haddonfield is also a honorable mention, but I dont find it as bad as Coldwinds.17 comments 281 views last activity

I joined a game, it's a cheating bot, you know the usual, the killer just obliterates every survivor before the starting cinematic ends, and all of us are hooked in the basement. Cool. I kobe to end the game fast. However, as I go back to the lobby, I get a 5 minute DC penalty, even though I didn't DC. Apparently these losers have a way of activating the penalty for other players now, and I'd say2 comments 41 views last activity

I want to talk about some things that I think shouldn't have changed. Let's start with survivors model movement, the animations. Before the Silent Hill chapter your survivors model would react to wherever you moved your mouse, whether it was to the left, up, right, down, in any instance as long as you weren't locked in a different animation. Then the Silent Hill chapter happened. How do I rememb55 comments 1,462 views last activity

Lets hypothetically say you would get a ban from insulting other players, maybe due to reports that were taken on you. Would, or could, this ban be permanent? Or do the bans come in stages, let's say, a week first, then a month, a year etc, or anything like that?4 comments 141 views last activity

1 or 2 updates ago this started happening. My ping is the same as before. But killers seem to consistently hit hits that wouldn't have hit before. They're about a meter away, and the hit connects. Applies to regular hits, and hits with killer powers also (Oni for example). *I'll scratch that "almost" part. It happens every single game, with every single hit. Something is broken, don't know what7 comments 191 views last activity

I keep thinking this killer is incredibly busted, I'm looking for any ways to counter him, if he can't do the ranged attack through walls that'd help a little for sure.2 comments 71 views last activity

I was playing Coldwind today as survivor. (Rancid Abattoir). The filler loops are horrible. They have 1 pallet, NO vaults, just a couple walls surrounding the pallets which most likely won't help the survivor in a chase, maybe with some luck while using Iron Will you'd be able to make distance with them. But the killer can force these pallets to be dropped super easily. How can I survive without20 comments 591 views last activity

Just wondering which one is the one that's intended to be used with this game. *After paying attention of shadows and darker spots I came to the conclusion SRGB is the correct gamma, since with 2.2 there's some black crush at times.0 comments 31 views last activity

The only thing I miss from old animations was how you could move your head up and down while crouching, moving while crouched/walking, and running. Don't know how likely it is that the right people read this, but I gotta mention how fun that was in my opinion.2 comments 31 views last activity

I have a Razer Deathadder V3 wired mouse, it's fairly new as well. When Im moving the mouse around in lobby or when browsing the games settings, it works properly, but when looking around in-game, the sensitivity is far lower than it should be like 85% of the time, I get some weird stutters when looking back and forth fast, and the strangest thing is that every now and then it seems to respond be0 comments 21 views last activity

You're still likely to be able to adjust gamma through either your PC's control panel, or from the displays settings themselves. Even a lot of cheap monitors have settings for different gammas, typically they use 2.2, so if you find the game too dark, you could use something like 2.0 or 1.8 if you can find it. On Nvidia at least (not sure about AMD), it's possible to adjust it through the control4 comments 463 views last activity

Ultrawide resolutions are damn near unusable so with an ultrawide you'll be forced to use stretched 16:9 resolutions. This is the only way to enjoy a full field of view with an ultrawide, without cropping parts of the screen off. I'm still upset about how this feature was disabled with the Alien update (been a while already), when there was no reason to. I used to rock a 145% resolution scale and0 comments 21 views last activity

Since the Alien update, the resolution scale option has been purposefully disabled so you can't increase it above 100% anymore (supersampling), so stretched 16:9 resolutions will look very blurry on an ultrawide. If I want to use native resolutions, or DSR/DLDSR/VSR, the picture is massively zoomed in. And I find this genuinely stupid, because even games like CS2 allow ultrawide resolutions to gi0 comments 111 views last activity

I remember back in the golden days you could nod while crouching, moving while crouching, walking, running, standing… It was hilarious. The look of a survivor running with their head snagged as high as it could get was funny as hell. Then the animations changed, years ago, and you could only nod while standing still, not when moving, not even when crouching. Oh well at least we still were able to11 comments 331 views last activity

I'll keep posting about this for as long as the issue persists. In what way does limiting the ability to supersample at a higher resolution benefit anyone in the game? What, is a higher resolution considered cheating now? What next, you'll ban everyone that uses a 4k display?0 comments 11 views last activity

It would be about time to explain if this setting is busted or ruined on purpose, don't you think? Since the Alien update this setting has stopped working, not a single word from devs about it. You can't increase it above 100% anymore. The game looks horrible compared to how it looked before the Alien update, when I personally used 150% resolution scaling. So what's the deal with this setting?0 comments 11 views last activity
-
I've done many reports about this, it's not a user issue, or a technical issue. I'll keep posting until I know for sure why it's impossible now. Devs haven't said jack about capping the value at 100% so I'll assume it's a bug. It wouldn't make sense to cap it at 100% anyways. It's been this way since the Alien update. Before the update you could increase it by adjusting a few values in GameUserS0 comments 31 views last activity
-
So, I reported about this in the "Bug reporting"- section, but it got declined, said it's "apparently a technical issue". Alright then. So I'll ask here. How can I increase my resolution scale above 100% in the current state of the game? I've always used 150% scaling, until the Alien update. After the Alien update, it stays at 100%, no matter what I change in the .ini file. No matter what I do t6 comments 121 views last activity

Before the Alien update I used 150% resolution scale, since the game is capped at 120fps I have plenty of power to spare. However since then, no matter what I do to the "GameUserSettings"-file, it stays at 100%. The game looks horrible compared to what it used to look like.0 comments 12 views last activity

Now I know I have made many posts about this, but it seems to me you can't increase it above 100% anymore. Since Alien came it's been this way.2 comments 21 views last activity

I've already asked this back when the Alien update came, I tried to change it the way I was advised, but it doesn't work. If I had a 4k screen this wouldn't be an issue. But with an ultrawide, like the one I currently have, the only real way to play the game is to use a stretched 16:9 resolution, in this case 2560x1440 stretched to 21:9 aspect ratio. Don't worry, my FOV is not increased, its the12 comments 1,071 views last activity

I still can't increase the resolution scale above 100% like I could before the Alien update, since changing the .ini file doesn't seem to do anything. I could easily increase it to 140% and still maintain stable 120fps at 1440p, basically leaving fidelity to the table because of this.0 comments 11 views last activity

What did they do to his throwing animation, it looks horrible and extremely goofy now 💀. I haven't seen much Clowns lately but I noticed some time ago.0 comments 171 views last activity

So far I've used 150% resolution scale on the .ini file, set the graphics settings to 4 (max) and tweaked some other settings. After this update I have no idea if the other settings still apply. But now my resolution scale is at 100%, my game looks horrible, also I have to manually set 120 fps every single time I open the game. Can someone explain if I can still somehow make the .ini settings app7 comments 811 views last activity

So many sweaty Skull Merchant players love to do the 3-gen camp & tunnel tactic which seems pretty much uncounterable. I think making it so her heartbeat wouldnt disappear when you're inside the range of a drone would help a lot. Another thing is, when you disable a drone, and vault a pallet in a chase, the ballet breaks. This is a busted mechanism which has no counter. The killer is literall3 comments 191 views last activity

Wonder if they have any plans on making cross-progression a thing? I have the Stranger things chapter & other nice skins I've gathered throughout the years I've played this game. Would be great if it was possible to bring that acc to PC, what I mainly play with these days.0 comments 61 views last activity

With some killers the chase music is obnoxiously loud to the point that its a struggle to try to listen to survivors moans or footsteps. A setting for chase music volume would improve my experience a lot personally.0 comments 21 views last activity

I was playing as Pig, noticed how they changed the model while playing as they've done with some other killers. (Your arms always stay in the center of the camera, even if you look up and down). I dont think it looks good at all. (Preference). On top of that when you get a hit on a survivor, the camera annoyingly looks a bit down with the hands as she wipes off the blood from them. However, this6 comments 141 views last activity

Who or what does this benefit exactly? Literally just a nerf to scream perks, resulting in less players using them.0 comments 21 views last activity

Spending bloodpoints takes very long and is pretty boring. A button to spend all of your bloodpoints would be a great overall quality of life feature to the game.1 comments 11 views last activity

Im liking the new changes to the game, especially to how they kept Nurses power the same with her nerf. We'll see if the new soloque info icons will help with Eruption, but I have my doubts. I think the perk is too strong.123 comments 2,814 views last activity

And an unbelievably sensitive one at that... There should be an option to disable it. Theres a report system for a reason, if you're so sensitive you can't handle somebody saying something to you on the internet, you can literally just ignore what they're saying, or log off/block them. You can't even speak regularly, as it censors a lot of regular words too.34 comments 605 views last activity

The deadzone is way too high on console by default. (At least on ps4, dont know about the new gen). Makes trying to aim precisely a pain. Trickster feels pretty obnoxious to play for example. Most games these days have deadzone adjustment, this game could really use it.0 comments 11 views last activity

Especially in a game like this higher FOV makes playing so much easier. I really can't think of a good reason as to why console should have lower FOV. Most games have FOV sliders these days. I think this game could really use a fov slider, but then again, perhaps the strong survivor loopers would get too strong...? Either ways, in my opinion the FOV of the console versions should be increased.2 comments 91 views last activity
