When will the resolution scale issue be fixed?

I still can't increase the resolution scale above 100% like I could before the Alien update, since changing the .ini file doesn't seem to do anything. I could easily increase it to 140% and still maintain stable 120fps at 1440p, basically leaving fidelity to the table because of this.
