A long time ago, someone on the forums mentioned how they'd like to see (I think) a Survivor version of Wraith. And that got my wheels turning, especially about Spirit/Rin. It got me thinking about how something like this could be a twist of fate. Sliding doors. Shadow shelves. Alternate realities. I couldn't stop mulling over the idea.
I thought about how cool it would be if BHVR put out installations of a Twist of Fate Chapter, where existing Survivors become Killers and Killers become Survivors. I'll tag my original post about this below. I brought up this idea a few different times (so the conversation has spilled onto different posts and really expanded) and people had a lot of great ideas. I'm still hoping BHVR will do a twist of fate chapter for many of the original survivors/killers! I think the idea has so much potential.

What if BHVR had chapters where certain Killers had become
SurvivorsinsteadHold your horses. I'm not saying Spirit is removed from the game. I'm saying that
Rinis added to the game as a Survivor. Here's how it would work. In an alternate reality, at the moment Rin was dying, the Entity took her and made her into a Survivor--dooming her to repeat her trauma. How's that for a new level of horror! The Entity is such a malevolent being that it wants Survivors to re-live their darkest moments and literally face off against their darkest selves. It's a very nuanced and mature lore, to be honest. Rin facing Spirit is a literal manifestation of the "sliding doors" theory/the butterfly effect. The idea that our entire lives could've gone differently if only we had made one different decision.Personally, I would love to see Spirit as a Survivor. I've always felt bad for her and thought her lore was among the best. Her cosmetics would be incredible, too, and simply seeing Rin and Spirit in the same game would be so cool. On that note, I think having a similar cosmetic for both Rin and Spirit that incorporates a butterfly would be a nice homage to the "butterfly" effect idea.
**This idea is also applicable for other characters, but I'd love for it to start with Spirit and Rin.**

A fairly recent one but my stop hard tunneling thread that blew up and went a bit insane always amuses me to think about.
i loved that thead, it was endless arguing and i grabbed popcorn and enjoyed watching it
Yh there's a certain masochistic part of me that loves arguing with those tribal killer mains who've clearly played the game for like a month getting nothing but 4ks against other new players and then hit high mmr and get stomped by good surv teams then come to the forums to complain how survuvor sided the game is. I'm going to miss that.
Honestly, I think one of my favorite moments was when I offered to take over the game:
It is very silly, I know. But this was during the NFT scandal, and things weren't going well. Being able to have a more cheerful, hopeful discussion like a light at the end of the tunnel really meant a lot to me.
I'm seeing this live as we speak over in the Halloween community; the more things change, the more they stay the same. it's not the same on reddit though with all the randomly generated names
I loved all the ragebaits, the trolls and the obviously biased, entitled mains of both sides. It gives me something to see people so completely match one side of the spectrum of opinionated.
Either you have a strong opinion or none at all. Thats fascinating for me.

Tbh just getting recognized from posting so much. Posted for the first time in a while once and somebody mentioned it was good to see me again. I used to be a huge dbd nerd, like to an unhealthy degree. Still am to an extent. Just tried to stay a bit away from it all, since I needed to do something more productive than "debate" on forums lol. But hey, it's been real everybody.
I don't know if you'd be interested in my memories here, some are sad as we've seen a lot over the years.
I remember the post regarding David King and how much it meant to someone about the representation, and it was so well written and heartfelt it really stuck with me. And made me look at things in a different light.
We've had some good times and bad and its been nice seeing you all through this time.
I think most memorable thing simply is becaming more familiar with the community members. On reddit or other places everyone is just random people.
Over the years there have been many constructive discussions about the game and balance. Which would never happen in other platforms.
Now most well I remember my post years ago about huntress camping hatch for 30 minutes when I had a key. I though then so toxic. But many defended her doing the right thing. Now myself I would never waste that much time for one kill.

I honestly forgot it was there lmao. I dare say it was accurate at the time.
I obviously have my fair share of issues, I think as does everyone, but I will never forget the kindness you personally showed me in September 2020. I was incredibly young and, tbh, joined these forums long before I should've, but it's led to some incredible friendships I'd never have made elsewhere. I'll always be greatful for this place creating the most welcoming space for serious discussion in 2018, in an era dominated by toxic swf bully squad knockoffs being the most watched content on YouTube. Not to mention, Cheers, and the incredible kindness the community, and you yourself, showed me during that time.
I'm beyond heartbroken it won't be archived, but I've made my Screenshots if nothing else. Thank you for giving me somewhere I could grow and find myself for 8 years, and thank you for letting me know Dan.

I'm not sure why I'm being coy given that the forums are closing so getting a warning won't mean much.
But I'll say a particular thread, on a particular topic regarding the genders of killers and how that correlated with pickrates and power levels, and how this ended up in a discussion about how certain groups of people seek to be dominated by certain groups of other people.
I did not agree with a word of what I was reading, but it was so out there that I break down laughing every single time it is referenced or brought up.
