Oh i can recommend a few, but im not sure what kinda games you like. For example

Subnautica 2 - I have many hours in that right now….
Alien Isolation ($40) is probably one of, if not the best horror game I've ever played. Other great single player games include stuff like Risk of Rain 2 ($25), Outlast ($15), Hades ($30), and Date Everything ($4). Those are probably some of my favorite games and their respective prices, they're all really great and fun to play.
Ive been playing a lot of Phasmophobia lately. (Single Player) Lots of fun! Scary too. I also am waiting for the next Star Wars game (Fallen Order Series)

I liked the first game already, so I would probably enjoy the sequel if its similar to that.
I love everything on that list, and completely agree on Alien Isolation, that's the only game that has ever given me the chills
Well for tactical rpg theres "Baldurs gate 3" which you've likely tried alredy or heard of,
for a stealth/shooter rpg theres "Blood West",
for side scrolling action rpg im currently playing "Dragon : marked for death", and another good side scrolling action rpg is "Absolum" which came out more recently.
I'd asume you've alredy played skyrim / fallout / mass effect. If you like dark souls style games my favorite of those are "Nioh 2", and "Code Vein".
If you like open world survival + pokemon theres "Palworld" that allot of people are into these days, another creature collection shooter called "Voidling bound". "Conan Exiles" is a good open world survival rpg (i even played the whole thing in coop mode). And one much like conan but pirate themed is called "Windrose"
Lastly this ones old but gold, a first/3rd person class based vampire rpg, called "Vampire Masquerade: Bloodlines". Which i would recommend the "good old games.com" version due to them alredy adding all the patches to the game themselves to have it work on stuff like windows 11.
Genuinely! I'm playing through it right now on hard mode and the Alien is so smart, apparently it improves based on what you do and changes its plan. It's incredibly fun and I recommend it all the time whenever people ask me about horror games.
Hasn't been said yet so I'll leave it here: Outer Wilds. If you're into exploration and space, and a game centered around exploring to discover what happened to a dead, ancient civilization, this would be a great game for you. It's got an extremely dedicated community, it's a completely one of a kind game that you can only play through once and never again unless you manage to wipe your memory. It's a very special experience and I'm sure you'd enjoy it, although I know it's not for everyone
I recommend The binding of Isaac: Repentance (you need to get the binding of Isaac rebirth then buy the all of the dls), slay the spire 2, any Lego game is peak and terraria maybe.
Also if you haven't played Deltarune, it's a good game
Try some of those games and refund them if you don't like them.
alien isolation is one of the first horror games I played and to this day is still in my top 5 games of all time and I cannot wait for the sequel.
Ive heard of bg3. It’s basically just DND right? Because if that is case I would definitely love it especially if it means recreating the greatest character from one of the old campaigns I was a part of who’s literally just the Green Goblin from Spider-Man
Its got an insane amount of customisation and replayability lol most spend like an hour trying to make their first character. I was playing my campaign as shadowheart. As u can make ur own character or choose from the main cast.
oh God it’s gonna my skyrim playthrough all over again.
Games I am also playing right now:
IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator You have a big turret. You blow things up. It requires triangulation though so if you're not into plotting map point it won't be fun.\
Big Walk: You walk around with friends and do puzzles. Very cute.
REANIMAL: Co-op from the Little Nightmares devs.
Moonlight Peaks: Stardew Valley for goths.

Spirit City: Lofi Sessions: Productivity game where you can collect pets and listen to cute music.
My favorite side scrolling action rpg of all time tho would be Dragon's Crown. I think its only for playstation tho. As i have it on the psvita and ps4. But i would literally buy it for the 5th time, on pc if it ever shows up on steam lol. One of the boss fights is even a Beholder like the one we got in the dnd map
i’ve been meaning to try Reanimal for a while because little nightmares is genuinely one of my favorite horror games and this being made by the same people gives me hope that I am going to enjoy it just as much
Bonus: Only one of the two needs to own a copy. The friend can play the companion for free on a friend pass.
If you haven't yet, try playing Daniel Mullins's Inscryption. Unforgettable game, one of the better stories in any game I've played.
yeah but where's that Horror 2.0 update… Been waiting for that for like 3 years :(
A LOT of people seem to have forgotten or missed out on the Narrative Horror "A Midnight Walk" it has one of the coolest artstyles in a while and though its a little short I think it is super worth it
I have, it’s still my favorite solo indie horror game to this day.

Cyberpunk 2077, Baldurs Gate 3 and Divinity Original Sin 2 are superb titles to sink hours into.
If you want some space 4x strategy Stellaris is pretty good to waste time in.
If you want horror at a slow pace Still Wakes the Deep is a solid title also.

I've been pushing this game on everyone because I'm still getting so much out of it after hundreds of hours: Mewgenics.

I have. I’m just very bad at Souls games. swear I almost walked out the moment I had to deal with Godfrey for the 75th time.
I have one I don't think has been mentioned yet - if you like resource management survival games The Alters is really good and thought provoking choice with consequence decision making
Managed to finally finish (started new) Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It is a bit simplified but it was fun and relaxing.
And right now playing Death Stranding 2. Can recommend both.
Great gameplay (also simplified and streamlined) but Story in 1 is better. Very addicting but not for everyone. It is a Kojima game, so over the top cutscenes and complex strange Story. But fantastic graphics and music and very well made. Gameplay needs to click - then you love it. Otherwise you might find it boring.
well I mean resident evil is my favorite game franchise of all time so I’d say yeah. I’m also pretty excited for the new game coming out this month as well so I might play that but currently I’m having a lot of fun playing BG3 just because I love playing DND.
The Alters is more based building management survival than action survival so it's not like Resi but of course those are great games.
I still haven't finished my BG3 playthrough. Really must get back into it.
