I know somebody is gonna say "they are supposed to look weird" but they are really off-putting(and I don't mean in a good way). I mean just look at their design, especially the masks.
This may not be accurate, but until stated otherwise I suspect these may be AI generated, especially the masks.

Very sure that the masks are not AI-generated. But I would also say that they look pretty ugly and I dont think they will be popular. But this is just my opinion, others will probably really like them.
We have no proof that those are going to even be cosmetics.
Why feature them in Trailers then?…
There has been tons of things in trailers that did not appear in the game. Have you seen Jason's shack in the game?
I don't think they're AI but I do think the collection is super ugly. I'm looking forward to the desert themed Rift they showed in the stream. That one looks much nicer.
There is a big difference between something used to promote something and something which is a central point of a event/patch/whatever.
True they are hideous, I cannot understand the mind of the person who approved of those designs.
Its obvious AI. I expect Terrifier chapter to be fully or mostly AI generated by BHVR to test the waters. They took unpopular license on purpose so no one would really care about it, so backlash wouldn't be that big. Still ,we must boycott behaviour when that happens because…
using AI for Art is unacceptable!

i guess the Designs are fitting for the theme. High society masks but turned grotesque and monstrous. also easily distinguishable to the masquerade masks. They don’t scream AI though, i get why some might draw connections because disfigured ‘anatomy’ and all but.. nah..
I don’t see them being popular outside of the Event though.
there really is not a single hint that they would generate the Terrifier chapter with AI.. Thats just a pretty uneducated and uncalled-for assumption..
Can we please stop accussing everything as Ai when ist obviously not?, in my opinion these masks look super cool and unike. Deffinetly better than the Mascurade in my opinion
AI has broken people's brains I swear. Obviously it shouldn't be used for art but what I mean is the paranoia I see around art now is crazy. Like very obviously not AI pieces get accusations now based on basically nothing.
My #1 fear with AI isn't that Terminator happens it's that it completely destroys some people's perception of reality, society already struggled with that before AI but it's gotten so much worse with AI in the last few years.
