They just patched out the bug where vaulting while landing removed stumbling.
A good bit of techs i see on the end arent really insane bugs though that you can't play around? Stuff like them vaulting into you after stunning you. You can just turn around and smack them. Fov teching sure it might get you the first few times but you can act on it afterwords. The legit gross techs have been fixed imo like survivors being able to phase through killers at windows to vault through them after they vault over. And the fall stutter canceling since it gave survivord immedate distance and bypassed the point of fall stuttering. Sometimes "techs" are just strategies like throwing a pallet to heal a person on the other side. Some techs like Cj teching by abusing the lack of different inputs between picking up/kicking a pallet are the techs i think are pretty dumb. You can also tech survivors with people like pinhead since vault/breaking chains are the same button. I don't like the ones that abuse the button presses of the other side really or mechanics that Sabotage the other side (wiggle lunge canceling the killer) something like hug teching for blight i don't really mind either because again the survivor can play against it. I think it depends hardly on the nature, how effective it is, and was there any way to avoid it for me.

Oni exploit going over 90 degree hard cap on flick, not fixed for 3 and half years.
Where is it patched?
What about the Cj tech and pallet vacuum why are those not fixed? Oni is a bad killer overall if you can't flick with him cuz nobody is stupid enough to run in a straight line vs a Oni in his power.
Blight, Wesker, Oni, Nemesis, Xeno, Chucky etc all have some techs and non of them fixed.
But yeah, only survivor techs are ignoring. Sure
Nemesis? Xeno? what are you on about? and Chucky's "hug tech" is a intended mechanic.
Who told you Chucky's hug tech is intended? Show me dev word about it? We just don't know. Except Blight's hug-tech, non of them called bug or feature.
Don't tell me you don't know about Xeno's tail tech and Nemmy's whip tech lol.

You aren't calling these techs, you are calling them bugs and exploits.
You gotta be kidding me if Xeno and Nemesis can hit you through a window or over a weist high loop it does not mean it's a bug and why would they release a killer with such a obvious bug if it's not a intended mechanic?
Engine limits, spaghetti code, maybe they did not find way to fix bug without breaking power etc. A lot reasons.
Also i doubt you know about Nemmy and Xeno techs lol. You can drag whip and tail a bit after used power which gives you some good hits. Here is some videos:
https://youtu.be/px6DkQMU2-s https://youtu.be/o1pPiO1NMgcI wouldn't really consider the CJ tech an "exploit", it's the same as the locker tech, it is an intended feature of the game that you can't interact with something (window, pallet, etc) that someone else is interacting with, exception being using Any Means Necessary to stop killer from interacting with pallet (which was a bug you could do against legion, and was fixed)
Pallet vacuum is also an intended feature of the game, the hitbox for dropping pallets isn't even that big anymore and it is countered by swinging into them, depending on ping if they go for a vacuum stun it's a free hit. Pallet vacuum used to be exploitable way back in old DBD but it has long been patched.
Also Oni is still a very good killer even without abusing exploit to go over 90 degree flicks, but that's not even relevant to the discussion at hand; the person you're replying to gave you a counterexample of a bug tech on killer that has gone unpatched for years.
If someone manages to do a CJ-Tech on you, this is 100% on you. It is one of the most obvious tricks Survivors can do and if someone really falls for that, they deserve to lose.
Which I think is dumb. Having momentum is a GREAT feature.
You need to understand what goes into programming a game. If there was a button to remove all techs and exploits, they'd press it. It can take a massive amount of work to find and fix some of these exploits. There are probably a ton of things they'd like to address, but they have to weight that against the man hours it would take to fix them problem.
I can 100% guarantee that they don't favour one side or the other when they're trying to fix things.
How is being forced from animation into another my fault? I clearly hit space then the prompt says break pallet and open locker and get forced into the pick up animation just cuz a survivor manages to cancel my action by vaulting or exiting a locker.
Hug tech for blight is confirmed by the devs to be an unintended bug. As in, their words exactly are that 'it's a bug'.
I can only assume that after a year and a half or more since they confirmed this that the fix is either low priority or difficult.
It was anti-momentum. Falling from a large height causes people to stumble, thats the momentum reaction. Not instantly skipping that animation to immediately vault a window or pallet.
In both videos the power clearly connects to the survivor hitbox and if killers could not flick their power would be weak to useless since it could be countered by making a sharp turn left or right and make them miss every single time.
You can just not press Space. This is a easy Health State gone or even a Down if the Survivor is injured.
You are being forced out of the animation cuz both prompts use the same button if that is not a bug idk what is.
As others have said, just wait a moment then react with a swing/grab when they're vaulting the pallet. Most people don't mind it as much because there is a very simple and effective counter.
Survivors have double map issues as well, especially on controller. Can't tell you how many times I've thrown a pallet or slow vaulted while trying to get rid of pinhead chains, or vacuumed into a locker thats next to a vault I wanted to make.
Tad ironic how OP has a Blight icon.
Blight and Nurse are healthy for the game since swfs dumpster most of the M1 killers so having 2 killers that can counter well coordinated teams is a must to ensure balance.
It doesn't cause killers to. Nor do I want killers to stumble when falling. I just think leaning into the chase aspect is the way to go and this takes away from skill expression. Say you notice a hill that's right next to a tile with a window that you can hit a fast vault on if you drop. You've got to know where it is, know that you'll be able to get it and remember where it is for later use in a different chase.
Ah yes, when its a bug that people like, its called skill expression. Even though its bringing back a concept that gave BL near-infinites. It was also only in a few specific maps (some required rng whether it would line a pallet up or not) so it was rare to even have a situation where you could use it.
There are 'techs' on both sides that haven't been fixed. BHVR has at least shown though that if they deem a tech unhealthy for the game, they'll fix it.
As for your hatred of CJ techs, after the first couple of times you get hit by it, it's pretty easy to counter. That's why it's never been 'fixed'. Unironically skill issue.
It's not about my hatred, it's a bug that has been in the game for more than 3 years and there was no official statement from the devs to confirm or deny that same goes for the pallet vacuum it was not adressed in any way shape or form.
Yeah lerts talk about all those survivor techs ... oh wait ... its just all about killer techs not being fixed at all.

Blight, you pfp, is notorious for having many so-called techs associated with his power. The hugtech has yet to be fixed, despite being well-known for years now.
Not to mention Wesker, with his urobound or whatever it was called. He's gone virtually untouched since he had his bugfix patch.

Well what if you were falling towards the window at the speed of running? That's more what I was thinking.
It was almost always with the vault being on the same wall as the drop (on swamp and macmillan maps) meaning it would be behind you. The only exception I know of was on ormond, where you could drop right next to a pallet and vault before the stumble kicked in. There is very little horizontal momentum when falling (far less than running, no less) and you're ignoring inertia with your presumption, people don't land like super heroes, your legs would be extremely sore from the fall and take a moment to regain balance. Hence the stumble effect.

we literally have a regular forum user here called @/hugtechlover, and you don't know about blight's history with exploits/techs?
The only thing that Blight has is the hug tech and is not even that reliable a good Blight will still down you in seconds with bump logic alone and since most of the reworked maps have scuffed collision hug tech does not even work on them.

I’m pretty sure neither of those things are bugs. Also pallet vacuum? that hasn’t been in the game in a while unless i’m confusing it with something else
CJ isnt a bug. Pallet can be only interacted with 1 player. When Dwight is vaulting, Meg can not vault or killer can kick.
If you press Space when Dwight is vaulting, you can not kick the pallet, but since there is another interaction (a slugged survivor), you will pick them instead.
Blight & Wesker sliding along with objects are not what their powers should do.
You're mistaking between bug & tech.
Nah this isn't a single sided issue in general there is no real distinction between a bug and a tech in this game till the devs finally remove it and this applies to both sides, what people call it doesn't matter until its removed.
A good chunk of techs are on killers considering new ones get released every 3 months while Survivors only get 3 perks every 3 months. Its a given that killer techs are going to be patched more often, which isn't really saying much. A good chunk of them I actually believe to be healthy for the game since there are many that are probably still undiscovered to this day, and it adds an extra layer of learning for those who have thousands of hours.
CJ tech which I saw you mention earlier is a tricky one. On one hand its a clever way of taking advantage of mechanics, and then the other being that it only really works on beginners.
A CJ tech is incredibly easy to counter though. Like once the killer can see that the survivors are trying for a CJ tech, it's one of the easiest things to shut down and counter. You literally just wait a second and then hit the survivor.
There are killers that have 'techs' that are much harder to deal with for survivors so I don't know why you're making it out like it's only an 'issue; for one-side.
It enabled very problematic chasing situations...
