He needs to be able to kill out of lockers, it takes almost complete stalk from all 4 to get it activated right
lockers are the only counter that stops myers from getting that instant kill and yes pallets and vaults help but those eventually run out and get blocked. they aren't about to take away the only counter that stays in the match as it progresses.

I am bringing to the conversation why you have bad MMR.
again i don't usually die first and most of the time im the last survivor so knock off the assumptions your only making an ass out of yourself by making assumptions about people you literally have zero info on.

If you die 70% of your games first, then yes.
i don't but way to assume i guess and since your not actually bringing anything to this conversation i think im just gonna peace out so good luck in matches and have a good day.

Pretty sure thats literally a skill diff
oh you mean the thing mmr is based on said by the devs? and im supposed to believe me and the hundreds of other people who have already talked to death about this are just at these low mmr lvls that these newer players have? i have over 2k hours and have been playing since 2017 so i shouldn't be getting these teammates who just bought the game. the mmr system is broken and that's all there is to it.

up for you to find out do some digging

I have better idea - survivors start the match already dead in the coffins

im guessing you just got done having multiple bad games in a row with potato teammates and i feel you, but you have to remember that the mmr system is a nightmare and it keeps placing survivors with only 100-200 hours into matches where they don't belong. i have over 2k hours and having 2-3 teammates with barely any hours is a nightmare since the killer is almost always around the same amount of playtime as me. my dwight wasn't designed to have to baby sit the team, fix all the gens, and loop the killer at this point my dwight is just a hollow shell of what he once was.

So not enough? let´s make it then 30s? that would suit you?
Let´s throw a little extra, so that does not deactivate by conspicuous actions. Base Kit BT 30 seconds and you can repair gens, heal, whatever. And while at it let´s make it that it refreshes Decisive Strike, too.
Well, no, let´s make also Decisive Strike basekit and also equip two items so you can swap between flashlight and something else.
and like that i'm done talking to you since i ain't feeding the troll have fun with the silence again. 🤣

you know bhvr won't do that even though some of those buffs are just bs.

no.

this is why i never take bhvr seriously when they try to force us to talk how they think is proper. the phrase grow the hell up really applies with them when you see this busted filter system they have.

for me tunneling only applies to a couple situations. the first of course is seeing someone unhook a survivor and only going for unhooked survivor. the second is if the unhook happens and the killer see's two seperate scratch marks and only one has a blood trail with it and they choose that one which is tunneling. however if the killer randomly runs into the unhooked survivor and downs them that isn't tunneling that's just bad luck.

That was the thing: I had fun with Snowman conga lines and dancing survivors a lot during the first 2h of the event and the rest of day 1 and day 2, but after that survivors only (ab)used the living daylights out of the snowmen and it was not fun anymore for the killer.
The other aspect was that the survivors got a "fun" seasonal toy to play around with, while killers got nothing, they only got their cosmetics by hitting snowmen with survivors in them. Wow... The hight of interactivity. I can totally see while this event got a bad rep.
since when did people start caring about other people's fun in dbd? you know how much better the game would be if they did but that is a pipe dream.
-
if they do he should just be a headless survivor that would be hilarious.

You are free to give an actual counterpoint if you feel like discussing. I don’t know why you think I care about mob opinion. Majority opinion does not change facts.
considering how you've treated other people that actually want to discuss and have respectful conversation i don't see why i would waste my time talking to you. mob opinion means a lot more then someone stating they're opinion as fact like you did. mizark3 gave a good example why your strategy of just leaving the area doesn't work the way you assume it does but funnily you never answered that and ignored him because your so called facts are nothing more then opinion. like i said at the end of my last comment you are not worth talking to and i won't be wasting my time talking to you anymore.

I don’t know why you think I care about the opinion of someone who clearly doesn’t even actually understand the situation they’re talking about.
- Extremely absurdly good player with literally thousands of hours of experience
- Using a fairly strong build (Agi/Infectious/Starstruck + double recharge)
- Against pub lobby players
- On one of the smallest maps in the game (which matters a lot, given the build is literally about TR) which is also one of the best killer maps in the game
- Against players that will literally try and hide near the Nurse despite knowing she has Infectious/Starstruck and can see she moves at Agitation speeds, when it’s exceedingly obvious that means Nurse would check near where the Infectious procs happened
It’s amusing you think you actually have a point. But I’d prefer if you educate yourself on the matter if you actually want to discuss. Thanks!
it's funny how almost everyone in the thread disagrees with you but instead of considering you might be wrong you throw a tantrum like a child and start trying to insult people. do you honestly think anyone is gonna take you seriously with they way you act? have you tried maybe talking to people how you would want to be talked to? i imagine not since i've seen you act the same way on other threads. to anyone who read this far into the discussion ignore this guy he ain't worth talking to.

Whether you saw it or not, we only have the explanation the devs gave as to why the perk got nerfed. Anything else is conjecture and you placing a motive based on your own bias.
considering the devs have been wrong on many things and how they compared the game to hockey i have no reason to trust them with what they say is happening and what is actually seen. and drop the bias junk i couldn't care less on your opinion on that since we can claim most people on the forum have a bias on how they talk on here and how everyone keeps getting called entitled.

I've heard this a lot, but no one can answer my question. Do you have evidence this occurred? A clip, vod, video, anything?
I'm not saying it isn't possible for a couple survivors to work together with the killer to hold someone hostage, just that no one seems to have evidence, only 'saying it happened.' Almost like people just made up an urban legend and stuck with it.
And nerfing the perk is useless for responding a bully situation, since a couple survivors can work together with the killer right now to body block anyone from moving. Base kit, no perks required. Same hostage situation, but that seems to be a non issue. Strange.
it's funny that they say that since i was playing ptb since day 1 that it came out and in both the times that i played killer and survivor i never once saw or was affected by these so called hostage situations. what did happen though is that frustrated campers came and whined on the forums for a major nerf and bhvr did like they do best and had a knee jerk reaction and nerfed the perk into the ground. funny how they promised they weren't gonna have those knee jerk reactions reactions anymore. there was plently of decent suggestions on how to stop the hostage situation but entitled whining won out further cementing that the devs have no idea how to balance perks without making 3/4 of them worthless to use.

I don’t see a downside to having an auto-buy option. On the other hand it’s not THAT big a deal, after how often do you spend hundreds of thousands or millions of bloodwebs at once? Once every three or four months when a new character comes out? It’s not a frequent thing.
i do that all the time to increase my prestige and many others do too so no not everyone does it once every three or four months since it really isn't that hard to get bloodpoints.

Why do you guys do that? You’re screwing 3 other players over. They don’t want to face certain killers either, trust me. They cringe just as y’all when they go against the killer(s) they hate the most, but they try. Maybe someone or two will actually make it out. Maybe it’ll be you. I mean the list of killers are growing, so before you know it- you’ll end up giving up to a third of the killer cast. Why even play at that point.
If for nothing, have consideration for others. That’s why I stay in trials that seem hopeless or not fun. It’s just better to “take my medicine” and play something else after I tried my best. I don’t want to screw my team over, because only having 3 players to vs. a killer you hate with an annoying build is ten times worse.
why is it that you guys haven't figured this out yet but they don't care that they ruin the fun of 3 other survivors, they never have and never will thats the whole point of the dc. just give up man you ain't gonna convince them your just talking to a brick wall so you might as well just ignore them.

Comparable, because the slugged survivor can stay where the killer left him, but some decide to hide from the killer until they bleed out.
op clearly stated the killer slugged just to force the survivor to bleed out for 4 minutes so this wasn't a case of hiding from the killer but the killer just refusing to hook the survivor so no this isn't comparable. might want to read the post fully before making a comment no offence.

She did miss multiple blinks so then she just kept kicking the gens if this continue too long eventually survivors make mistake as well. She did many mistakes but slow down perks and nurse ability to move quickly around map helped her recover. Maybe to fix 3 gen situation there should time limit on games let's say 40 minutes that should be enough for killer to get 4K if there is only 2 survivors left hiding they should get sacrificed instantly to entity after that.
survivors should not be sacrificed because you are unable to catch them. you can already get free kills during egc with the right builds so giving free kills as basekit is completely unacceptable.

Maybe next time you should bother to read the context of the response that was given, rather than entering territory in a conversation you were not a part of, and giving your 2 cents because you don't like the way someone carries themselves rather than what is actually being discussed.
I am willing to bet you don't do that for your side's responses, because of the bias that you seem to have. Even though I was just told I "must not play killer" simply because I as both a killer and survivor player, I have a difference of opinion.
I would suggest that you follow your own advice and learn to take someone else's opinion as just that....... opinion. Not personal.
ignore him man his post history is all you need to look at to know he's not worth talking to.

the only thing i would change about her is making the blink a special attack. why some might ask and thats simple, nurse literally had the special attack taken away because of original metal of man users complaing that her blink didnt give a charge on MoM. DS was left at 5 seconds after the endurance nerf and that took a long time to get changed back to 3 seconds so why does nurse's power still count as a normal attack when that was only changed because of MoM?

to be fair i would actually love to see that.
-
yeah with that nerf i definitely will not buy the new RE dlc since they are already destroying perks like this. next is gonna be hyper focus and that will make all of the new survivor perks trash tier. when that happens then im just done with this game since bhvr has done nothing but show straight up incompetence when it comes to balance or even making a game thats not held together by scotch tape and toothpicks and every patch causing more bugs that they take months to fix. after 5 years of playing the game i think it's about time i just let it go.

you know i find this funny that people are complaining about survivors dodging. a few years ago a killer could dodge a lobby and that used to throw all the survivors back into the group lobby or back to your solo one and then you had to reque which meant a 8-10 minute wait for the survivors and yet killers always said it was fair because they didn't want an unfun match.
complaining about 1 survivor leaving and still being able to have another join in like what a couple seconds is just the peak of entitlement at this point.

What time of day are you playing? It makes a HUGE difference.
Around 6pm to 12am, you get a lot of good players and matchmaking works pretty well.
From 1am to 8am, you get a lot of sleep deprived people that can barely play or you get extremely hardcore players.
From 9am to 1pm, matchmaking mostly doesn't work and you get random players.
From 2pm to 5pm, matchmaking is mostly alright but you'll pretty often end up in lobbies you don't belong in.
Source: used to have sleeping problems and would play at pretty random hours of the day.
would you happen to know what time zone this works best at?

Why would that survivor go for the save? It's a choice between 3k and 4k here, you most likely won't finish all the gens with just two of you. Moreover, skill based matchmaking tells that only escapes matter, so it's the only good option for the other survivor to just go for the hatch/gates alone. Don't blame the players who try to play efficiently, blame the game design and SBMM.
hatch doesn't increase your mmr only exit gate escapes.

@dugman said:
This is all part of the one main flaw I think DbD has in terms of design - they tried to build it as a semi-cooperative game and semi-cooperative designs rarely work well. It invariably leads to people not agreeing on whether they are a team or not, what constitutes a win for the “team”, players who aren’t personally doing well sandbagging everybody else or ragequitting since they feel they have personally already “lost”, and so on.
It’s why the official DbD boardgame for example specifically decided to go with the survivors clearly winning or losing as a group and not as individuals each escaping. And why the devs mentioned in one of their update blogs they are looking into adjusting MMR to treat the survivors as a team that all go up or down together based on how many survivors escape (so for example if you die but in the process everybody else escaped you all go up, and likewise if you hide all game and everybody else dies you go down too.) I’m hoping they follow through on that change and maybe even expand on that idea, anything that shifts the game more towards the survivors clearly being an actual team with a clear victory goal for the group is a good thing in my opinion.
my teammates actually getting punished for doing nothing while i do the work? that sounds like heaven.
-
@CluelessWanderer said:
With every update, DBD devs make altruism detrimental for Solo Q players. They should be encouraging it, because altruism inspires team work. I'd go so far as to say they should give more of a BP bonus for safe end game saves to encourage not being a selfish tw*t. In fact, they should give survivors more BPs in general (hell, Killers too) to cope with their new bloodweb grind.
You know BHVR; "Great news, kids! We're reducing the grind, by making it more!". lol
yeah altruism has gone to hell but i refuse to let that stop me from saving someone even if it means i die. all that matters is getting my team out for me.

It is, honestly, even if not for the reason you want. You get 5 seconds to see how the killer reacts, their potential prioritization, and even might have a few seconds left over to decide whether they're tunneling that person out or not. You can get a lot of info from things like these if you consider them from multiple angles.
i don't know man the only time a survivor has gotten the 5 sec one to work on me is when the game has that weird detection when i hit the back of the unhooking survivor and it just decides i hit the person that got unhooked. im sure you've seen that happen at least once.

I don't think that's a fair comparison, very easy way to counter BT...wait 15 seconds, the reassurance value depends on the survivor and how long they can loop around that particular hook
wish you would tell that to people that think the base kit 5 seconds is so amazing.

Guess we will. I'm not against getting rid of camping eventually. But there is a LOT of map designs that need to be changed. It's not hard to recognize that a lot of maps are way to safe. The whole reason it's popular to camp atm. Is because it gets people out of position. Instead of attempting to run groaning main building. Instead of attempting to run crotus main building. Instead of attempting to run long wall in to shack. Instead of attempting to eat 30 pallets on the game. Instead of..Well you get the point
i do agree with the map situation a lot of them suck and when i saw the new RCPD i honestly couldn't believe those main lobby stair pallets.

@BrokenSouI said:

My take of once per hook stage is for both balancing and griefing purposes. The hook has a timer for pressure and balancing purposes of making them get off a gen.
There's a difference between punishing camping, and making it obsolete with no changes in game to match it. It was already being abused on the ptb. So I can only imagine if it comes to live servers.
we will just have to agree to disagree then. killers have been able to camp with no repercussion to insure 1 survivor is killed even when 5 gens are still up for 6 years. they wouldn't have even made this perk if they didn't think camping has become too strong with the right builds and plenty of people have shown how much camping rewards the killer for minimal effort.
