Same way you seem to be lumping me in with a wanting the perk gutted crowd.
Nothing I suggested is unreasonable. You shouldn't be able to do a gen on your own in 47 seconds
Reassurance shouldn't be a multi floor perk. Nor should it give basically infinite hook time(for greifing purposes)
i didn't mention hyperfocus because that i can see getting nerfed but again you just assume i want it to be untouched. the only thing i don't agree with you on is the 1 time per hook stage on reassurance. this perk is supposed to punish camping and thats what it does but if you make it once per hook stage every camper will see it pop and just shrug there shoulders and wait it out. theres been people on the forums who say they will wait it out as the perk is which is just petty and shows how bad camping is being used as easy kills.

People like me....? My guy. I'm a constant preaching balance and give and take on BOTH sides.
I can't help you. If you can't see how a perk is/can be broken and used for greifing on top of it.
But if you want to go with "people like you !!!!" Hopefully they're smart enough to not listen to people like you who suggest "tHe PeRk Is PeRfEcT"
i've mentioned in other threads that reassurance should be a opt in option for the hooked survivor and it shouldn't be usable during egc but sure just lump me up with the DoNt ToUcH ReAsSuRaNcE ItS PeRfEcT!

You can feel that way if you want. But I don't think it's hard to admit the perks need changed and need limitations.
Hyper focus has the ability to help you complete a gen SOLO in 47 seconds. I'm no genius. But kill rates were low. So they upped gen speeds and made changes for chase time. I don't think they want people soloing gens in 47 seconds.
I understand peoples excitement for reassurance. But it needs limitations. It needs to work on one floor(doubtful they'll do that) It needs to work maybe once per hook state. It works from multiple floors. Making it safe to use. When it's supposed to be dangerous(see 6m) I'll spare the discussion on having a perk that basically eliminates hook timers and it's impact on balance. But it's a perk that can be used to bully both survivor and killer. Survivors can keep you in game against your will as survivor. As killer there are many bully/greifing situations that arise. Including but not limited to it shouldn't work in end game. As you can literally do something like stay atop shack and greif the killer(and survivor) To the point it's either "give us our team mate. Or else we're staying here"
i really hope the devs are smart enough not to listen to what perks people like you want nerfed.

But there is times when you need to camp as the killer, the other day i had a match and hooked someone in the last 30-45 sec of the EGC and i camped him due to the fact the hook was close to a exit and there was not long left till game ended. So its not a skilless thing as sometimes you need to do it based on the situation your in as camping might be the best play at the time.
camping is completely fine during egc don't sweat it my man.

You are still purposedly failing to see the point, aren't you? Being hooked is a part of the game indeed. Being CAMPED and FORCED TO DIE on the FIRST hook is not. Jeez, I really don't know how much simpler I could make this for you to understand. But then again, if you fail to do so on purpose, not much that can be done. Some people never listen, after all. If that's how you are, fine, but spare yourself and me the hassle, and end our one-sided conversation here.

Your post is not grounded in reality or the confines of the game.
I'd certainly be interested to see your breakdown of the various phases/steps involved in survivor gameplay.
We can definitely have this discussion if you want - I certainly read your post.
not grounded in reality? i gave you an example of how being on the hook is not playing the game and in each part i used the same time as someone on a hook for each stage. well now i know not to reply to anything you have to say if your gonna try to bring some poor argument like that. i wish you the best of luck but i don't see a point in talking to you with poor arguments like that so have a good day and goodbye.

Flawed reasoning. If someone blocked you in a corner for the entirety of the match, back when Twins could do it, you were still inside the match. Didn't mean you were still playing it. But I am used to these forums, where there will always be people who, in spite of common sense, will think of their ideas as right. I'll try to elaborate this further, should be simple enough to understand:
The game is, first and foremost, not free. So I expect to be able to play entirely something I paid for. With that out of the way, let's move to the main stuff:
Survivor gameplay is, or at least is intended to be about
- Being chased;
- Unhooking;
- Reparing gens;
- Healing yourself or others.
These are the main things, with some extras along the way (totems, saves). If you get to play only ONE of those things, you ARE NOT being allowed to play. Think of it along these lines. Someone who cheats is technically still playing the game and, probably, winning. Does it mean he wins because he deserves to? Is it really him playing, or is it something else doing it in his place? Is he playing the game, or using something to make an advantage for himself AND ruining the fun of others? Videogames are meant to be fun, for both sides. You can win, you can lose, but you should BE ABLE TO ENJOY IT, whatever the case. When one side enjoys it and the other does not, when one side only cares about winning and refuses to consider the bigger picture (balacing the experience for both sides, in this case), it's usually not called a videogame, but war.
this^

Being on the hook. As well as being chased("tunneling") are both part of the game. You are still playing the game. Despite what your feelings are on them
Both tunneling and camping have their time and place. They both are indeed strategies. No matter if you disagree or not.
being on a hook is not playing the game so knock that garbage off. if someone came up to me playing a game and took my controller away for 60 seconds am i still playing the game when i can't control it? or better yet what if i was allowed to press a button on another device that had 3 chances to work with a 4% success rate that will give me my controller back. but if all 3 fail then i have to wait for someone to come and take the controller back and give it to me within 60 seconds or my game turns off and i have to start the game back up and restart on the level i was on.
im sure you'll say it's not the same.

This perk is simply too strong, and i see it now in every high rank game i play killer as, especially SWF.
its 30% bonus repair speed, with no pre-condition other than what is normal that being another survivor is repairing a gen with you. Its like a reverse hex-pentimento with nothing to counter it.
This perk is not helping noob survivors, its helping SWF do 2-3 gens before the game even truly begins.
Nerf it from 15% bonus to 5%, thats it. So easy.
I am not going to insult the developers because i know this is probably just overlooked, but it needs fixing or high rank games will feel like total crap on non S-A tier killers.
Thank you.
no.

Also stop adding god pallets on your new maps that are horribly designed. Too many stealth options, too many god pallets/windows.
Get someone else to design new maps as all your new ones have been objectively horrible. I literally am leaving games at start because of how bad they are, and i probably will quit if this keeps up.

Medkit may have ran out and your using selfcare so them healing would better, guessing your close to done and covering you in case the killer comes so they can take chase since your heal is so important to you, wanting to get a quick tap in to activate aftercare, having trouble finding a gen and hoping to run together and you might know where to go, the list goes on and on.
how am i suppose to know you have aftercare? its the same as not knowing i have selfcare or not. and even then the problem is when they dont leave when it's obvious i don't want them to heal me. why is that so hard to accept?
-
@amazing_grace said:
Yeah, I get your point, but at the same time sometimes just trust the other survivor. Maybe they need it for a daily or tome challenge, or maybe they have a build dedicated to it.
I've been facing the problem so many times where a survivor will refuse to let me heal them and insists to heal me first, which would be great if I wasn't running one of these (Desperate Measures/Botany/Autodidact) with solidarity. I've literally gone back and forth 3-4 times because a survivor keeps cancelling the heal. I go into end game screen and they had no reason to not let me heal them first.
I do get your sentiment though. I've done this to other survivors where I know I can heal myself safely with a medkit and let them start doing gens. Usually they get the message from me pointing and running away with my medkit.
thank you for understanding and yes i do let people heal me when im not healing myself since i usually consider the archives. i just want people to stop wasting time sitting there when people don't let you heal them.

If you want to communicate to them to leave, you have the ability to do so and actively refuse to use it, then make a topic on the forums complaining about it. Just use the gestures fam.

There are plenty of reasons . I can know you have a medkit but what i dont know, is it a green fast heal medkit? Is it a yellow medkit with 36 charges and a syringe/styptic? One of those you wouldnt want a heal the other you might. Maybe i still have double healing from that unhook perk, maybe you have streetwise/built to last, maybe you already used/gave someone your fancy medkit and are using a yellow you found in a chest, if your at 10% i can heal you now and you can 90% one later and get topped up just before finishing a gen with someone later. Plenty of valid gameplay reasons there, without even going into achievements/archive challenges as another one
the reasons are irrelevant im talking about the fact that when they don't stop healing themselves these people don't leave they just sit there.
and i already talked about we'll make it so im not addressing that.

Knowing which specific teammates has a med-kit or a flashlight hardly matters in match on the survivor side.
You can always stop healing for a second holding shift so they can't heal you and show them your med-kit then continue healing. Or just keeping healing. I'm not sure why your teammates wanting to heal you is such a big problem.
i do keep healing the problem comes when they just sit there tbagging until you finish healing and at that point whats the point? what im saying is if they keep healing then leave and do something else stop sitting there tbagging until they finish healing.

makes sense my ass you can't use that excuse when a survivor can drop from a 2 to 3 story height, land and 2 seconds after just start sprinting how does that make sense? and thats all survivors btw like bill and ash and ace, guys above they're 50's. realism has no place in this game and needs to stop being used as an excuse to nerf things.

I would honestly be fine with that. I would much prefer a condition like the killer must be within 20-30 metres of the hook to be able to use this perk but yours would work pretty much the same way.

My dude there is literally not much i can be wrong about here. This is 100% something that can be done as is.
People are arguing over how useful it would be which is not the point. The point is that its an abuse. I know im being an arsehole but not one of these people so far said yeah i can see that happening but its not an abuse because xyz. Its full on denial and insisting people wouldnt do it. Its insane and im more insane for arguing with them.
i agree i can see it happening it's just that i don't believe most survivors would actually try to do it but that might just be because i always play solo so for me it's just too random to see it happen a lot. but in the end i think i agree that they should probably try to find a way to make this impossible to do. hmmm maybe they could make it where if reassurance is used and the killers terror radius never comes near the hooked survivor then the hooked survivor can't recieve it again. that way if you realize they are doing it you could wait it out and force them to either unhook or let that survivor die. thoughts?

First of all. Killer queues are roughly at how survivor queues were before the patch (at worst 5 minutes). So by your logic, killer was in a terrible spot and no one wanted to play killer.
Now in regard of camping and tunneling. Survivors received a basekit buff against tunneling + BT buff + OtR buff. Those are very strong buffs, so i really don´t know why you think those things haven´t been addressed and claim that the devs didn´t do something about it.
maybe you have 5 minute que times but in the afternoon yesterday during what used to be quick que times for me as killer i sat for over half an hour and gave up so who knows how long it would have taken. if the que times weren't a problem then they wouldn't keep getting brought up and it can't keep getting ignored by the devs because i ain't waiting half an hour for 1 match as killer.

No he's actually right. This patch might feel just right when you play Blight or Nurse but it literally made no changes if you play Pig or Trapper.
There are still too many pallets.
The maps are still too big
Loops are still too safe.
SWF still exists and has a massive advantage.
alot of pallets besides the ones on new maps have become 50/50 pallets and the bloodlust buff easily makes these dangerous.
map sizes are a problem on they're own that doesn't really have anything to do with buffs but i agree they need to be looked at.
loops sure could use a look at but again that bloodlust buff really helps with it.
as a solo player i can't really throw my hat in on the swf problem so i'll leave it at that.
