My game was against a Huntress. She was working together with them and she BM'd me with them when I was on hook. They were streaming too and the killer was in their chat. I didn't say anything in their chat tho but it was kinda sad. My friend was just doing gens and he got out. I'm glad you had a nice Demo tho!

Thanks. Sorry you had to deal with that bull. If they were streamers, we had no idea, but that really does suck. Glad your friend got out, at least :/

I had the same thing with a friend on RPD, they were working with the killer and the killer let them out after they tbagged me on the hook. Just some really sad people.

Funny, RPD was the map we were on. But we went against a nice Demo that tunneled them and let me go. Friend only died bc they were rude :(

Claudette’s never deserve hatch they are very toxic. As for the Kate, that was strange Kate’s are usually wholesome. What survivor were u playing?

Feng. Not default but not neon either

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

Claud and Kate will see this post and they will feel sad for sure.

But i am glad killer gave you hatch, solo-q is hell seriously.

That's the worst part, I wasn't soloing. I was with a friend that got BMed too and died first lol

  • As a survivor main, let me say on behalf of the whole survivor side of the community, thank you for being considerate. Sadly, as many have said, your efforts are not usually recognized, and whether you choose to let that stop you or not is up to you.

I don't usually expect killers to be nice, because hey, they want to have fun and get points too. I get that. It is what it is. And I also get all the other killer mains here expressing that they don't want to be nice. Why should they when all they get is teabags and flashlight clicking and general BM in return?

But thank you for trying. Thank you for choosing to be nice at times even when it's not reciprocated, and even when almost no one else feels the same way. This community definitely needs more people like you.

Someone has their knickers in a twist 😂

They've stated their claims and I stated mine.

I never said you were wrong and I am right. There's no right or wrong in this. That's why I'm willing to discuss.

If you become too infatuated with the wordings I have chosen instead of the essence of my message, then it seems you really do lack the reading comprehension skills or is just ignoring what I have said.

And I frankly don't care if I come off as hostile.

I'm calm as a sea right now, tbh. Just tired, that's all.

And it is a fact that I have responded civilly for 98% of my posts.

    Also,

    • I've called a player prejudiced for saying something very prejudiced (he admitted it)
    • I said camping at end game was an act of desperation not that killers are always desperate.
    • I said people claiming getting last minute kills with any means necessary is being entitled.

None of the things I said are wrong nor defaming in my books. You just need to add context to them.

If you feel offended, then fine. It's your feelings not mine...

I was never upset, I'm not sure where you got that from? Either way, I'm finished. Good luck on that therapy session.

Okay, Oreo7. Imma lay it out like how I teach my young students, okay?

I have a problem with camping in general, yes.

But here's where it gets divided:

    NORMAL CAMPING

    • It sucks, yes. It ruins the fun for everyone else yes. In fact, I've said this in the very first comment in this very thread itself.

"Survivors also have to play selfishly or must replace the hooked one instead.

Both don't get objective points and both waste their time.

So it's ultimately a crap experience for both parties.

Camping forces killers to stick to one survivor and do nothing else."

    DESPERATE CAMPING AT ENDGAME

    • This is the one that I call as a "hissyfit"/"Tantrum" where killers feel entitled to get kills when they absolutely deserve none. I find this worse than normal camping in all aspects.

Okay, now that we got the two difference clear, let me tell you that nobody called me out on anything.

I still stick by this, have stuck by this and will stick by it.

What others have done is made their own reasons why their opinions differ, which I also coherently answered time and time again, civilly.

    You got that now?

I'll also take your advice in seeking therapy. While I do that, please do me a favor and go to a library and read some books. Your reading comprehension needs work.

Nobody called you out on anything? I think you're the one that needs help with reading comprehension. People have stated over and over their claims and you've only made it sound as though you're looking down your nose at them. In fact, @Hecktic3000 even said in his last comment that you've come off as hostile this whole time.

"Responded civilly" my foot. You've called people prejudiced, desperate, and entitled, all while acting the same way you tell people not to. Do you understand yet?

  • @Kolossoni said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2075418#Comment_2075418

I mean, it'll take a 5 year old kid less words to realize my disdain towards camping.

No s^*#t Sherlock, where in my words do you see anything that positively views camping?

I'm surprised you just realized this.

Also, I'm not saying YOU, Oreo7 was the one complaining.

I'm saying I never camp, therefore I don't complain it being complained about like some players.

You've been actively saying camping is trash and garbage and when anyone calls you out on it, you go back and say "well I don't complain about camping because blah blah blah everyone else needs to suck it up". That is what you've been doing in literally almost every comment you've made. Obviously I know you have a vendetta and you're in need of a therapy session, but the least you could do is stick to your story. This is getting stupid and it's because you can't make up your mind between "camping sucks" and "I've never complained about anything, ever".

  • @Kolossoni said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2075397#Comment_2075397

If I wasn't able to secure kills DURING the match, I sure as hell don't deserve any at the end game.

With that mentality, I'm able to grow as a person and as a player, cuz I'm not entitled to anything.

Just like when I play survivor.

If I failed to survive, I don't complain about killers being OP. I just move on and reflect on my match.

Oh, and by the by. I'm not the one who's complaining about camping being frowned upon, cuz I NEVER DO IT.

So a killer who brings an endgame build for the sole purpose of using it during endgame doesn't deserve to get kills because he didn't get any before the exit gates were powered? Think about what you're saying here. And guess what? None of those builds don't require camping.

With that mentality, you're not "growing" at all, and you can stop acting entitled to having a match without a camping killer. And before you say you're not, you're whining about how obnoxious camping is way too much for you to really not be bothered by it.

And I was never complaining. In fact, I specifically said I didn't mind it too much, at least not enough to do anything about it. Did you even read the original post?

  • @Kolossoni said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2075387#Comment_2075387

No, I'll tell you what I do with no BS whatsoever. I swear on my entire family lineage just to be sure.

I literally go around breaking every unbroken pallets that has been left behind.

I also look for the hatch (if there is one) and try to close that too.

That takes up a good chunk of endgame time mind you.

I sometimes see despicable survivors at the gates and I just go as far as possible from them.

Sometimes they'll follow me, clicking their flashlights or doing smth obnoxious, but I ignore them till they eventually leave or they get stabbed by the entity.

It's not too hard. I don't need to stoop that low to feel good about myself.

Now you're abandoning your only objective left, which is the main objective-- go for kills. You're called a killer for a reason, right? And you don't have much room to complain about survivors gloating and wasting your time if you're not willing to do anything to get rid of them.

Like what sort of face-camping bubba monstrosity did you run into that traumatized you this badly? Do you need therapy or something? Even I don't have this much of a problem with face camping... like you said, just brush it off and queue up for the next match.

  • @Kolossoni said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2075375#Comment_2075375

THAT MEANS YOU LOST THE MATCH. They were better than you, end of story.

Just give up on that trial and go to the next one. Why's that so difficult?

and shame on whoever prolongs the game than being necessary.

I hate when survivors do that and gloat near exit gates.

So just totally give up and boo-hoo in the corner when there's 3 survivors left and the egc just started? What a load of bull. I'm sure not even you would do that.

You can prolong the game, sure, but not for an infinite amount of time anymore. EGC got rid of that. If you're so impatient, either chase them out or DC.

  • @Kolossoni said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2075342#Comment_2075342

You take this pretty seriously don't you?

Also, what do you mean they have nothing else to do?

Is camping their ONLY option? If they don't camp do they get kicked out of the game by the system?

Get out of here with that BS, buddy.

I can't tolerate soft-minded BS like that and it ticks me off.

They ARE doing it out of desperation. You can spin it however you want it to.

You think I've never been in that situation before?

I lose. Boo hoo. Too bad.

Just queue up for the next match for god's sake.

And they say survivors are entitled. Oh, the irony.

He meant they have nothing else to do, because there are no other objectives. There are no more gens to pressure or break, no more totems to protect unless they have noed or their devour somehow made it to egc. What other option is there, besides standing in the corner afk and letting the survivors waltz out the gates?

  • @Zaytex said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2075257#Comment_2075257

It doesn't help when I'm trying so desperately hard to make Trickster work and all four survivors are basically invincible and impossible to down because the killer is so horrendous and because they're so hard to catch, they get cocky and start tbagging.

Spirit Stridor is really therapeutic, maybe I should do it some more.

I feel you. I'm having a hard time going against trickster bc I still don't know how to counter him lol

  • @Zaytex said:

Tunnelling & Camping are perfectly valid strategies and the community demonising killers who use these tactics really need to look at themselves for being entitled, petty and toxic as hell.

Sure, it's not fun, but guess what, this is a video game where one side is out to destroy the other and use everything they have to achieve that goal. Survivors want to escape and killers want to kill, so why is it only killers who get these societal rules of what is acceptable behaviour or not? Killers can't play X Y Z, camp or tunnel and have to make it fun for the four survivors but those very same survivors are not expected to make it fun or easier for the killer.

Fact is, camping and tunnelling have perk counters and people expect the killer to not use these strategies when its incredibly beneficial to them and act spoilt when they do use them. It's entitled and needs to stop ASAP because as a killer main, getting screamed at for camping the hook after all the generators are done and securing a kill instead of letting them go almost every game is starting to make me bitter towards survivors and I'm sometimes tempted to just Stridor Spirit and tunnel every survivor off hook because I'm just fed up with being expected to throw games basically and get bullied or else I'm a horrible person.

I don't blame you for feeling that way. The survivors really are the more powerful role.

You do realize that competitive games have always existed throughout HUMAN HISTORY right?

Case and point, every single athletic games have always been competitive (i.e. football, basketball etc)

That doesn't mean there shouldn't be a glimpse of sportsmanship.

Your "competition have no room for ethos" is a rather crude argument since competition has been present all this time and yet people are still expected to be a good player with good sportsmanship.

Why should computer games be different?

Calling people "toxic" and "obnoxious" for the way they choose to play... and you're arguing people need to be nice to each other and have fun?

What a great example you're setting.

  • @FrenziedRoach said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2075183#Comment_2075183

The other person's fun is the last thing on my mind when I'm in a PvP oriented game. If a person can't handle getting their asses handed to them in a manner they disagree with, they have no business playing the game in the first place.

I'm not saying that to be edgy or mean - that's just a fact of gaming. We have literally hundreds of games to choose from. Why waste time in one that makes you so miserable you feel the need to project your way of thinking on to others to the point of calling them toxic or obnoxious when it can be argued there's tactical reasons for that strategy.

If somebody is dumb enough to get downed between the last 3 gens, there is literally no reason to leave the hook. To leave the area is the epitome of stupidity tactically. And I'm sorry, as you said "too bad" regarding blood points, I'm not about to "dumb down" my play to spare another player's feelings. You either come into the game bringing it, or you don't. If you can't handle people who bring it, then ask yourself why are you dealing with it - because you aren't going to put a stop to it either way... why put yourself through that hassle?

    This. Exactly it.

  • @Kolossoni said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2075195#Comment_2075195

So judging by your statement, as long as the duration of camping is tolerable it's fine?

Even though I don't really get your standards, I guess I'll respect it.

Oh, and regarding fair play, the results are a google search away.

Here's a start though, take a good read:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sportsmanship (Redirected from Fair Play)

That article means nothing here, because my whole point was that you cannot change how other people want to play the game.

Camping is fine either way. Yes it bothers me when I'm camped at 5 gens still, but after 3 gens and no hooks, I expect it. I still wouldn't consider it garbage though. That's the way the killer felt like playing. And I felt like not letting it bug me.

    Is that a crime?

  • @Kolossoni said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2075171#Comment_2075171

Do you even know what "fair play" means?

If you do, you wouldn't have made that ignorant statement.

There are plenty of times when killers and survivors gave respect to each other, regardless of who won.

That wasn't because they were friends, it's because both acknowledged their prowess and never made the game feel atrocious.

Camping is the complete opposite of that where it makes one side feel much superior than the other with much strategies to counter it.

That's not the same as the aforementioned example now is it?

I'm aware of that. I've respected killers and they've respected me. And even better-- I've still respected killers who camp and told them "gg wp" because despite the camping, I still had fun playing against them. As long as the camping wasn't the whole game long, it's fine.

So then, tell me. What is "fair play", exactly?

  • @Kolossoni said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2075164#Comment_2075164

You declared that I was an individual who had past history with you, which I denied the claim.

And regarding that small part, yes I do agree.

I said this person I was arguing with was on a different social media platform. They never would have "seen" me.

On the other note, thank you for clarifying you agree with me, at least to that point.

  • @Kolossoni said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2075152#Comment_2075152

Lol, I meant it as a terminology not a feature of the game, but whatever.

No, there can be fair plays.

    No camping.

    No Tunneling

    No T-bagging

    No obnoxious survivor BMing.

    etc

Maybe you never experienced a match like that before.

I have, I just don't see it often enough to recognize it. To come into this game and say "that's not fair you can't do that!" to something that's a part of the game is the same as walking into a bar and telling everyone drinking is bad. Is anyone going to listen to you? Of course not.

  • @Kolossoni said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2075140#Comment_2075140

Never seen you before so that's a first for me.

I have played plenty of killers before.

Sometimes I get frustrated when things don't go the way they should. But still I try my best and I may not get the points I need.

    TOO BAD.

    That's how life works sweetheart.

I don't need to camp and ruin people's enjoyment simply I want to secure a few kills. I hope you get that.

If you've never seen me, you must be blind, because I made the original post. In fact, I specifically said exactly what you said: "I get frustrated when things don't go the way they should, and I may not get the points I need. But that's just how life works."

Are you switching sides then? Because it now sounds like you're agreeing with me.

  • @Kolossoni said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2075033#Comment_2075033

If you really don't know the difference between fair play and dirty play, then I have no words for you.

Whenever I play as a survivor or a killer I don't do everything in my power to secure anything.

I don't secure kills nor do I with lives. Just play and whatever you do is the result.

Being a sore loser and camping just for a few kills is like looking at a kid throwing a hissyfit. It's pathetic not to mention selfish and obnoxious.

I don't have to play a game where I must forego my dignity and sportsmanship just to win. That's how a 5 year old child thinks. Just saying.

There is no such thing as "fair play" in dbd. If you're going to complain about what's fair, then find another game bc this one's not for you.

  • @Kolossoni said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2075016#Comment_2075016

There's nothing to be substantiated for the validity of camping in any situation. It's still a personal choice.

You want to secure a kill? Fine, camp.

Does it ruin the experience still? Absolutely.

Your necessity to secure a kill shouldn't dictate the way you play the game, but if you are willing to play dirty just for a measly kill or two, go for it.

I hate to say it, but you sound just like the person I was arguing with elsewhere. My point was that sometimes its necessary. If you don't believe that then you probably have never played killer. I've only played killer once or twice, but even I have had situations where I was either forced to camp or someone went for the save the second I hooked and took a step back and then accused me of camping.

  • @FrenziedRoach said:

I'm going to expand a bit on what I said above a bit.

I think what people need to do is two-fold.

First, they need to just stop tying meanings to actions in the game alltogther. What appears to be "toxic" to you may be just somebody who doesn't know better or is trying to do a Rift challenge (I just picked up one today that would encourage the use of NOED and Blood Warden).

Secondly, they need to stop looking outward and look inward. Anytime you end up in a "Failure state" in the game (you're downed, survivor got away in various ways, ect) the first question a person should be asking themselves is "What could I have done differently" AND BE HONEST WITH THEMSELVES. Because if you think you played 100% flawless, you're not looking hard enough. Most of us are not that top percent of players - there's always something we could of done better.

If people look inward and see their own mistakes and focused on that, they'd be less upset at what other people do.

I agree 100%. Usually if I get downed at 5 gens, it's the bad luck of spawning near killer paired with my own inability to loop and run properly lol

  • @Mooks said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2074994#Comment_2074994

I mean, offensive things were always not welcome and reportable.

many many people complained about toxicity in the chat, and they introduced a filter system that apparently filters a little bit too much. They can adjust their filter though.

it’s just another case of community complaining about anything instead of giving constructive feedback..

    I see. Thanks.

  • @Afius said:

They are legit strategies but they should balance the killers so those strategies are less effective or appealing so killers can do other things. Ironically I believe that's the issue in most cases is that the killer feels that's how they will win is by playing a unfun strategy.

I think it stems from the grey ranks. In those ranks, camping and tunneling the only ways killers know how to get a kill, because they know if they leave the hook, someone will get unhooked, and then escape is possible, and they can't let that happen so they chase them down until they are dead. They want to win. Then, once they climb the ranks, they get better at camping and tunneling and continue to use it. I know the game awards less points but some killers might actually feel like that's the only way to win, and a lot of people in this game think that winning=fun.

  • @Mooks said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2074949#Comment_2074949

Yep endgame chat and pre game lobby chat for survivors on PC. Consoles don’t have this option at all.

the Filter was introduced with the All Kill chapter, it’s an adaptive system, the more you use „bad“ words, the more words get filtered for you.

That sucks. If you happen to know, what was the reason? DBD is starting a new "no swearing" rule? Dbd causes swear words more often than not lol

  • @Mikeasaurus said:

I play both sides fairly equally and I encounter a LOT of campers and tunneled. Now I don't care if they want to do it personally. That's for them to decide. What I don't agree with is when they choose to do it at 5 gens. Camping someone late game sure. As killer you do feel the pressure when all 4 are still standing and you need to slam on the pressure somehow so that's fine. But what I don't understand is why do it at 5 gens. I know gens can go fast and as killer it does make you feel powerless when it happens but I feel like someone deciding to just outright camp and tunnel 1 person at the start is them throwing the entire match. Now I don't camp or tunnel at any point but that's more personal preference. If I'm going to lose so be it. I just wish there was more alternatives for killers to take when the match starts going out of their control over what we currently have.

I agree with that. It's no fun at all to be tunneled at 5 gens and camped to death just for playing nea or some bull. At 4 gens, meh. But after 3, I'm usually mentally prepared to deal with it.

  • @Volfgang57 said:

Camping really does suck gameplay-wise, but it's understandable for sure. But it's also gratifying as hell when you can manage to pull of a successful rescue from a camping killer. Those are the moments I play for sometimes

Had a Wraith face camping someone to the point where they weren't even looking around. Came up behind him and starting poking him and my friend came around the other side in front of the killer and taunted them. They started chasing them just a bit which gave me the opportunity to make the save. Wraith turned around, I took the hit, and we all escaped :P

I love doing that. I've done it with randoms and it's one of the best feelings lol. I've done it to many a bubba before

  • @AsherFrost said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2074962#Comment_2074962

    Absolutely.

Honestly while I don't care for being camped, I am beginning to love being tunneled. The chase is the best part of Survivor, imo and much more fun than fixing gens and breaking totems. Even if I am camped I know if my team is decent they'll "punish" the killer by winning the match and escaping.

YES. Being tunneled the whole game for no valid reason just to run out the gates or hop through hatch is one of the best feelings. Problem is I still suck at looping lol

  • @dspaceman20 said:

I think I can agree with what your saying.

Here is my view on tunneling and camping. In my opinion tunneling and camping are completely fine and valid strategies. These are strategies the killer can use to try and win the game. These strategies are not inherently toxic. However I think its important to realize that it's not the strategies themselves that's toxic its the intention behind the strategies that's toxic. By which I mean camping and tunneling a person to be toxic to that person. Some people have been camped and tunneled for extremely petty reasons. Like playing a certain character, using a item, or even wearing a certain cosmetic. At that point they are not using the strategies to win they are using the strategies in order to make the survivors game unfun and that's what I think is toxic.

Remember camping and tunneling to win is fine but doing it for some petty reason and to make someone's game unfun is toxic imo.

Yes, thank you. You understand the point I'm trying to make.

  • @AsherFrost said:

Unfortunately it is a prevalent thought pattern here. People tend to believe that they are entitled to have a great time every second of the match, but losing isn't fun, so they get upset. Glad to see Survivor mains out there that understand it's just a game and both sides are trying to win :)

Right? Thank you! They assumed I haven't played killer bc I find camping a strategy. I do play killer, not very often, but I try not to camp or tunnel bc I know how it feels and my killer stays at grey ranks bc I dont play often. I don't want to deter new people from playing the game, you know?

  • @PanicSquid said:

This rambles a lot for very little pay off.

Tl;dr seems to be "Nobody likes being tunneled or camped, but its going to happen"

Sorry, I'll add that in, didn't think about it. Thanks.

  • Is this talking about the PC endgame chat? I'm on console and I didn't know there was any sort of filter. Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question

I dont mind normal 4 mans or any regular SWF unlike most poeple it just ones that do everything possible to suck all the fun out of the game just to win

I feel you, and for that reason if I have a 4 person swf, I play with people who enjoy playing stupid instead of sweat. We went against a streamer one time who played trapper and we (not purposely, for once) played really dumb and farmed each other the whole game. We were actually trying that game, we just had terrible coordination for whatever reason. I watched that guy's stream the next day just to see what he thought and my mans actually said "I can't tell if they're bad or just throwing".

*Insert crying cat thumbs up meme*

  • I'm sorry you had to deal with whatever you did. I usually play with 2 other people and if you went against us i think you'd have fun bc all we do is get chased and farm each other like idiots lol

This sounds ridiculous, but I've been trying pretty hard not to run Ruin or Pop on any of my killers so I can make it to rank 5 (or even 1) and feel like I've earned it for sure. Sadly, the highest rank I've gotten was 6.

    Today I was playing Oni and had gotten this team down with 3 gens left and this purple rank sweetheart said I was good enough to be in the red ranks. That I was genuinely challenging and it's what makes games fun. That I'd definitely make it to red ranks soon ;-;

I'm sure it'll eventually come around, but that was just reassuring and neat, since lately I've felt like I haven't been consistent as killer. They went out of their way to stay and say that to me like wowie.

I'm super late but this is literally the cutest thing I've ever read.

"Witch Hunting" and "Naming And Shaming" are frowned upon as it calls for action on something you don't have good evidence for. And as somebody who has played 100% legit but still dealt with Hacking accusations, I believe this to be the right call.

"Witch Hunting" falls under the prohibition against multi-platform harassment which will most definitely get you banned.

BTW - never speak of "He Who Must Not Be Named". He's pedophile trash whose channel needs to die - and people need to stop feeding him analytics by even typing his name.

I will let him know that he's making a mistake if he wants to keep playing then. As for who or whatever it was you were talking about, never heard of it/them. And either way, I'm pretty sure you're not talking about Voldemort lol

  • And I'd still die because bc I'm terrible lol

  • A couple years back, I was solo queueing against a trapper on mother's dwelling. At 5 gens, teammate 1 steps in a trap near basement and gets hooked in basement. With kindred, I watch as teammate 2 goes in for the save, but he doesn't make it in time-- teammate 1 kills himself on the hook and teammate 2 gets stuck in the very same trap. Upon getting picked up, he dc's. And finally, teammate 3 dc's because what's the point? We're not winning this game. Meanwhile, there's still 5 gens left, and this is before the endgame update, back in the days of hatch standoffs and having to complete one more gen for each person alive before the hatch is even an option--- so I set off to find the killer. I manage to find him and I think he was looking for me; I wave him toward me, trying to tell him to just slice me and get it over with, but he doesn't. He swings but doesn't hit me (telling me to follow him) and this trapper leads me to each gen and lets me do all 5 of them. In return, I let him chase and down me a couple times, and he lets me pallet stun him for more points, but he never hooks me. He even lets me open the door and still gives me hatch.

I play on xbox so he and I had a conversation afterward via messages. I thanked him for letting me get my points and escape and he told me it was no problem because he felt bad for me and said he couldn't believe they all left me like that. He even mentioned being more disappointed since we were at higher ranks (he was red and I was purple).

I don't remember your name and I don't even know if you remember me or that match, but I still remember lol. You're a legend, keep doing what you're doing👍️

  • I think my very best play ever was when I was playing solo vs a bubba on Thompson house (Coldwind farm). At the very end of the game, I got downed near the door. The timer was almost up and everyone else was injured, so instead of leaving me like any other solo queueing group would have done (it was clear none of them were swf), they stalled for me. He stupidly picked me up first before downing the remaining survivors and letting them crawl out, and then took me to the nearest hook which was on a hill-- but since he spent so much time downing the others, I wiggled out, jumped off the hill, and let the boost from balanced landing speed me to escape.

That was a couple years ago and I still don't think I've had better luck solo queueing since.

This next moment is my favorite moment ever, and even if it wasn't really anything I did, I just felt like I had to share it anyway.

As for a moment with friends, we had a full swf squad, but two of them were relatively new to the game, so the other friend and I were kind of just taking it easy and giving them tips on how to play better. We faced yet another bubba who tunneled me the WHOLE game from ten seconds in and didn't down me until the endgame when we found out the hard way he had noed. He hardcore face camped me, but he hooked me near a door, so Nancy (friend 1, the more experienced friend) got me off the hook with borrowed time after Nea (friend 2) opened the door and Steve (friend 3) tried his best to distract. Bubba only managed to hit me once after that thanks to bt, and my friends took hits for me, so we all made it out alive.

Unfortunately, latency (especially when facing Huntress) will usually cause disjointed hatchet hits out of the blue. It's not the hitboxes that were changed, it's just latency that causes these hits to still happen. The latency isn't anyones fault, that's just a normal issue that comes from online multiplayer games.

You'll always find a discrepancy when it comes to which side sees the hit, since to the Killer it looks normal, but to the Survivor it's disjointed. There's nothing you can really do about it, it's just a common issue every multiplayer game faces.

So no, the hitboxes were not changed. Sometimes you'll still get hit though because your hitbox is still there, it's just shorter than the regular standing hitbox.

Thank you. I figured such, but wasn't sure. I know I'm bad at dodging hatchets but I know I'm not that bad lol

  • As a survivor main, I would say I hate going against Ghostface the most... sounds dumb, I know, but for me ghostface matches are typically boring, and since I dont usually run spine chill, I remain oblivious to my surroundings and he can usually fully stalk me. What makes it the most annoying is that I can never seem to break him out of stalk. Ugh.

The survivor I hate playing against... or rather, WITH, would have to be a tie between Meg and Nancy. They can be toxic or braindead, but either way, you're getting sandbagged (and farmed at some point).

  • Okay, thank you. I didn't realize there was difference between letting it go by and actually missing lol

  • Ah, okay. I thought I remembered being able to use it again after that in different matches but I cant recall any specific time that actually happened. I didnt know missing it deactivates it permanently lol. Thanks!
