  • SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: Every time I boot up the game I get that annoying pop up thing and checking the do not offer me this again in the furture checkbox has no effect whatsoever. PLATFORM: PC, Steam STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: Start game SCREENSHOT: PLAYER LOGS: Don't think those are relevant here?

  • Is it intended that you can use the killer's event ability effectively simutaneously with an M1 leading to an undodgeable insta down if you're in M1 reach? Because if it is, I think I'm done with surv side in this event already; just plow through the minimum required challenges of the event tome to unlock what I want to unlock and then not touch it with a ten feet pole.

  • Yes, you can tick the "don't show again" box - but I still find it intrusive, overbearing and out of place.

  • alas. People (read: enough killers) have figured out how to be insufferable to ruin the mode (for me). From the top: the past few days have been a blast. Glorious chaos and so much random ######### I found myself playing as much as I used to (and since I have a lot of free time atm that means about 3-8 hours a day). Maybe it's because it's Tuesday. I kinda hope so. - But all matches today (

  • Killer does one thing right = 3/4 k Survivor do one thing wrong = 3/4 k The comeback potential for killers is insane. AW: "git gut" - I thought the point of MMR was that it somewhat adjusts to your skill level. 15+ death streaks just shouldn't be a thing. AW: "I only face 4 TB BNP seal team 6 swf, stop crying" … if it wasn't the same team over and over again I highly doubt it. Even if:

  • We all know the ad-bots that sometimes drop into the forums - and there are also instances where someone starts hurling insults at someone else. Both of these things ought to be removed asap, I think - but how to best go about it? Just hit the report button? Tag a mod? Something else I'm not aware of?

  • Buckle Up by itself has never never been the problem; the instant nature of it being paired with FTP is the issue. Picking someone up w/o endurance if a killer wants to slug is absolutely pointless since the killer just swings the moment the surv gets picked up; it doesn't matter how fast or how long they sprint if the don't even get to the sprint animation starting … Almost more importantly th

  • There are many issues frequently addressed that lead back to how hooks and hooking work: Face camping, Proxy camping, tunneling, 4%-ing to nope out of a match asap, gabs - or lack thereof -, hook durations — and probably a few others that I missed. Either way, I think it's safe to say that many people are - for one reason or the other - unhappy with how hooks and hooking works. To address som

  • …playing the game as survivor is not about trying to escape anymore. - And that is a problem. What do I mean? I'd say people generally play a computer game to have fun and enjoy the time they are playing that game. So first of all: if "escaping as a survivor" is what you need to enjoy your time playing the game, you will simply not enjoy the game anymore and will probably quit sooner or later,

  • … no it doesn't. But it does funny things. - And since I don't know where forums-bugs-related things go I just put it here - move around if needed. Issue: When I click on "Recent discussions" and then click on the DBD header with the logo in the middle, something breaks. usually it looks like this: but when I do as said above it looks like this:

  • … but now three of them are meta… somehow :| I always liked Distortion and I always liked Bond. And since there are some maps where I'm notoriously bad at finding gens I also have Deja vu pretty often. At least when looking at nightlight… all three of them are somehow meta now. Well, at least Desperate Measures and Leader are still pretty far away from being meta, I suppose. But if they end

  • Lemme put it this way: After half a dozen matches on surv side SoloQ feels OP. (edit for clarification: regular SoloQ feels OP compared to Lights Out surv experience.) After half a dozen matches as killer I'm about to fall asleep. And with that I'm also done with the game mode.

  • What prompted that thought on my end: Another discussion on Dredge being put in C-Tier by Otz and how he needs buffs had me thinking "yeah, right, because I see the Dredge so often I would absolutely know how to deal with him if he gets those buffs /s". I see Dredge maybe once every 50-80 hours of playing survivor, maybe even less frequently. I had one yesterday and can't even remember the one be

  • dodged a handful of lobbies (as surv) because of all survs having red ping bars (me included). Eventually I figured I can just see if it's still alright-ish / something that goes away during match. But Nah-hah. I had a friggin 400+ ping lobby. That's absolutely unplayable as surv.

  • ...something's changed at some point with the perk, right? I used it a lot a longer while back but when sometime last year the crows were bugged I kinda dropped it. I played with it again yesterday and it seemed incredibly unreliable to the point where it actually seemed bugged/like it's not always properly working. It has a cooldown, I'm aware of that. It has a range, I'm aware of that too.

  • The quality of games is so low. - The one skill they seem have to acquired is how to gauge 8m perfectly, how to count to 10 and how long they can press W to definitely make it back in time for the unhook. It's a really sad state of affairs. - And the survivors at this level have absolutely no idea how to deal with any of that (nor should they have to know). --- this is mostly a rant sinc

  • Apparently I'm part of the group that has hidden Prestiges now, both on surv and on killer. As surv looking at other surv's prestige was never important to me, so there it's kinda inconsequential. I also don't have a habit of dodging lobbies because I see high prestiges. However, I did see a massive difference when playing as surv. - The times we got dodged half a dozen times or so were signif

  • Except for pre-run and pre-drop I haven't found much so far. Between his non existent penalty for missing an M2, him pretty much always being able to be in M2 (turrets have proven to be astonishingly inefficient - and also not even particularly effective) he can just run and continue poking (tbh, kinda feels like a Nemmy who has his T1 tentacle up all the time while remaining and regular speed).

  • I thought stairs have been made wider (especially basement stairs) so that killers can't completely block the stairs. Xeno can. It just needs to stand sideways on the stairs.

  • From what I gather the consensus seems to be yes - but maybe that's bias. So I figure I make a poll. Feel free to elaborate on why you picked the option you picked.

  • It comes up time and time again: there are elements in this game that make it partly unplayable for some people. Elements that are not down to "if you choose to play a horror-themed game, there are gonna be horror elements". BHVR has done a great job improving the accessibility e.g for those with impaired hearing and people with color blindness. - But there are still things, that could be impro

  • I didn't want to just go on a tangent on a different thread to somehow throw my two cents in. So here's my personal take on it: I played it on PTB and it was fun. But it's PTB and you can't really tell too much when going up against a new kiler that you don't know much about yet and the killer player doesn't know much about either. But MFT+[Speed Perk] is what we all tried in various combina

  • Regardless of whether changes to Sadako are a buff or a nerf, her losing chase on more occasions means there's another killer where it's incredibly difficult to get emblem points in the evader category. Which does absolutely not mean she should not lose chase there. - More so that the evader emblem criteria should be adapted. Other than Sadako there are other killers where you won't get any sc

  • Was joining late this year around - and while I couldn't wait to catch up and join the shenanigans... I'm kinda already done --- two hours in. At least on the surv side of things. Between the conditions for cosmetics, event-mechanics, common playstyles on killer side and event-tome-challenges being a pain in the behind on the surv side (relative to killer side) it's just zero fun to play surv si

  • Or why is it camp-and-tunnel-o'clock all day? There literally wasn't a single match where the killer* wasn't compelled to sweat so much they could fill an entire swimming pool. *idk about how survs are today, haven't played killer yet. And here I was just thinking about playing some more again after matches yesterday and the day before had been more fun (and I by no means escaped enough

  • You know how doors open on the game or on pale rose? How about this gets incorporated more on maps? I imagine this could be a great way to maybe not solve but really alleviate the "too many resources/too strong loops" issue. Depending on gens getting done some structures may get stronger, others may get weaker, so that there is an overall balance throughout the match. It's just a random thought

  • Now that we know which changes are gonna happen, what meta changes/shifts do you expect for killer/surv? Sadly, with survivor healing having dodged changes to altruistic healing altogether (PTB was overturned, for sure, but I would have expected a middle ground fir live servers) I don't think there will be much of a change. Less DH, and that's about it I think. Maybe a slight increase in team-f

  • It was a ridiculous question before but now it's a pretty valid one, imo. So: Which one is more useful? Ngl. I think MoM might actually be more reliable than DH now. Which is a bit mind boggling. What do you guys think: What's more likely to be pulled off conistently: Taking three protection hits - or getting the unhook requirement in a way that actually allows you to use DH when needed?

  • Is another example of a perfectly fine perk being very broken on a specific killer. Tho, I wonder, wouldn't it be absolutely sufficient to give the perk a ~20sec cooldown? This would stop her (and other super high mobility killers) from effectively having permanent aura reading (with Lethal) while having nearly no impact on killers who have to move normally from one gen to another. Simply bec

  • I never realised just how much of an impact this has until recently. I knew it happened and I knew it had some impact - but boy did I undererstimate how often it happens and how big the impact is. Frankly, I'm shocked. The context: I usually dump all my points into one character but hardly play them. On the regular I play characters that are P5-15. Mostly because the people I play with have a st

  • Even though the de-pipping threads have been a staple in the "recent discussions" tab I'm not aware of the issue ever having been addressed by the devs (/a mod relaying their knowledge). Could we please change that? There is an abundance of players pointing out that de-pipping isn't healthy for the game since more often than not de-pipping is entirely out of the players control and leads to frust

  • Now, I don't go against piggie that often and a majority of piggies seems to enjoy the hard tunneling (which makes me wonder why they put the hat on you in the first place then... but ... that's beside the point) - but in nearly every match that played out normally - aka in which someone got a hat, got hooked, then got unhooked and went to do their boxes - at least one person died to not being ab

  • Since BHVR announced they will be looking at perks again, I figured I might as well try again to revive my favourite niche perk that I sadly had to bury in summer. Since it only activates when you're injured it's useless 99% of the time. In a nutshell: You can't pre-loot a chest to be good when you become injured - and when you are injured it takes about as long to search for a chest as it does

  • Title, basically. (For context, I guess: I think just yesterday I was rather upset about what up to then seemed like a culmination of business practises I greatly disapprove of when it comes to in game purchases. No need to rehash it all but it boils down to the combination of "real money only" + "limited time" that usually targets a very specific, very vulnerable group of people. - In that

  • Everyone is supposed to not run out of envelopes - I get that. But getting 10+ envelopes for every envelope you spend is a bit much. Not only that but it seems like they actually push other items out of the bloodweb. As quick reference; I put one prestige worth of BP into a character (they were at lv3 when I started). I actively avoided going for routes with envelopes, except if they had som

  • Disclaimer: By "high MMR" I mean "high enough MMR" - idk what number that is but it doesn't really matter. The MMR I'm at and the people I usually play with has 9/10 matches with one or more of these three: camping&off hook tunneling, full 3gen build and/or strongest builds, incl. strongest add-ons, on a killer. The thought that comes to my mind most frequently is a very cynical "lmao - I gu

  • It sucks, I know. Especially if you too want to pip. But that's just how the ~week before grade reset has been for about half a year or so. (Though it does seem like it's getting worse every month. Maybe it's just confirmation bias tho.) Point is. Be prepared. Adjust your expectations. Adjust your builds. And chill. In a few days things will calm down again for a while. Hang in there. We're

  • DH is everywhere - and that is boring. But it's easy to see why. Arguably, almost all other exhaustion perks lack severely in versatility and the "getting value" department. So regardless of how boring DH is, there's kinda no competition. So, are there any ideas out there to create some competition for DH? [To anyone who feels compelled to say "bruh, just nerf dh until no one uses it anymo

  • I think it's fair to assume that at this point everyone knows about the stacked gen regression vs stacked gen progression meta and the vast majority of people will agree that it's incredibly unhealthy for the game and leads to incredibly boring matches. Based on this, I do wonder: what if there was much less variability to how long repairing a gen can take - in both directions? At the moment

  • I have an account on two different platforms - though one I hardly use. Actually, so far only ever used it to test sth in customs without having to ask someone to go afk for me. So, having this fresh account, that hasn't seen a single pub match sitting around, I wondered: How many matches does it take until MMR matches me in a way that the desired outcome is achieved (~30-40% escape rate)? Ans

  • It's rather simple, and I have seen the idea pop up in one form of another here and there over time. But it was always a tangent when the discussion was about sth else. General Duration: A match lasts seven minutes. Gens: There are five gens: a moderate 4gen area and a safe gen. A completed gen is reset after a minute and can be completed again. Hooks: There are hooks in regular intervals w

  • Now, before I get all indignant I want to ask if there's a counter I'm not aware of. Situation: Someone is hooked, the knight stays close enough to be aware of unhooking attempts. If someone is going for the unhook he sends a guard that arrives there just after the unhook happened. Whoever the guard catches gets double tapped within seconds; first by the guard then by the Knight who has caught

  • Idk if this is actually the right area. But it's really more about the DC than the PTB part so I guess here's the best fit. Anyway. Almost every time I play the PTB I have *a lot* more fun than live servers (until having the same killer in 99.9 % of matches inevitably grows old at some point). Even though DCing is rampant. - Or dare I say because DCing is rampant? Most people in PTB DC beca

  • There are a myriad of threads where people complain about survivors DCing. - But this is not that. It's the other side of the coin. Killers doing the exact same thing. Really, it's been ridiculous. It's either killers with their strongest add-ons and builds easily 4k-ing at 4 or 5 gens -- or killers DCing as soon as they can tell it's probably not gonna be a chill 4k. What the f is going on t

  • It has come up in the past and I think most people agree anyway. But here's another reminder that with pips not meaning anything substantial and (de)pipping being out of your control quite often (read: more often than not) it should simply not be a thing. It has only downsides and not a single upside.

  • Don't get me wrong, I'm somewhat sceptical too. --- I think it's a brilliant solution to the whole slugging-for-4k / to prevent hatch from ever spawning. - But I don't know how it affects mid-game scenarios where hooks are sabo-d or "never hook builds" with knock-out or condemn Sadako and the likes. But you know what? We will see. And how about we all keep our speculations to ourselves and reserv
