The Fun Pimps join Behaviour Interactive The Fun Pimps (developers of 7 Days to Die) have joined Behaviour Interactive. I'm curious as to what this will lead to in the development. I don't expect much, if anything, to change in DBD, but for 7DtD, I'm hoping to be able to play as DBD Survivors (or probably dress up as them). And I'm hoping that the 7DtD modding community will create custom a2 comments 71 views last activity

If I recall correctly, the devs patched the game so you couldn't cancel the unhook more than three times. Well, I played against a Cenobite, one Meg DC'd during the first chase, and the other just decided to be as toxic as possible. https://www.twitch.tv/cryptgirl1981/clip/SquareTriangularBeaverAllenHuhu-eq_BQYSQ7fuxnNYx9 comments 241 views last activity

Hey, Survivors. Tired of playing the same ol' characters with the same ol' perks? Want a journey with an unpredictable outcome? Here's something I've come up with, inspired by another challenge. It works as follows… The goal is to face each of the Killers. Add all unlocked Survivors to a spinning wheel. (I recommend https://wheelofnames.com/ .) Remember in a few threads I mentioned facing a hacking Huntress? Well, I ran into that same hacker again… https://www.twitch.tv/cryptgirl1981/clip/SmellyHelplessWheelCclamChamp-HAj750NUsp8quAjU I would say at least I didn't have to DC this time, but then again, the game probably treated this as a DC since I got no points… And before anyone asks, yes, I reported the playe0 comments 41 views last activity

So I've kept track of my matches with spreadsheets, listing Killers, maps, perks, outcomes, etc. New for this November, I've tracked Abandons as well. Though I feel the 2v8 stats might skew the overall data though… https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XyfS0MuT8iI1mdu76MeIA_unwpaDBQTjEd9H98POveg/edit?usp=sharing0 comments 61 views last activity

I'm personally of the opinion that DC bots should've never been a thing, as I feel they cause more problems than they solve, but I suppose there's no going back on those now. But what about for abandon? In most cases, the match is more or less over, so what's the point of having bots at that point? If people could abandon with no bots, that would allow the Killer to move on to the next match0 comments 61 views last activity

I'm trying to understand how this happened. Meg's reverse bear trap timer ran out, and Claudette's timer is just a few seconds behind. And yet, despite having slightly different timers, they both died simultaneously. And neither of them were chased to pause the timer. So how does this happen? I'm just asking for my own understanding, because I'm both confused and curious. htt7 comments 231 views last activity

I'll share some Dead by Daylight fan fiction I've been writing. The first one is called "Playthings." It explores some of the more unusual relationships within the Fog, such as Dwight x Huntress, Nemesis x Rebecca. And of course some Killers have their own agendas, which will cause some tension between them as well. Read it here. Next is a newer fan fiction I've been working on, called "T1 comments 71 views last activity

A lot of people complain about getting crows too easily, but I'm not seeing it at all. In fact, this morning I had a teammate who managed to hide all game in spite of the mechanic. Yes, she did get some crows here and there, but she easily got rid of them. But overall, she didn't contribute much to the match at all, she never got hooked, and that's why we all died. She was clearly hiding for19 comments 211 views last activity

I'm a person who generally uses common items, add-ons, etc., so I typically jump to the last page to select them. But when I jump to the last page, what do I get? A whole page full of nothing! Now I have to backtrack through the pages to find the common items I want. So even if we ever got the ability to discard unwanted items, we'd still be stuck with them cluttering up our inventories wit0 comments 2 views last activity

I'll just preface by saying I'd support the idea of Killers being able to leave a match without penalty when all four Survivors DC. But while thinking about it, I began to wonder, what if there's one Survivor player who wants to stick it out? Would it lead to the Killer tunneling that person out to have access to the surrender option to avoid facing the bots? My proposed solution would be, sho0 comments 31 views last activity

I'm pretty sure a 1v1 mode had been requested at some point, though I don't remember when or what details were involved. But I've been thinking of a possible mode that would be purely chase-oriented. So here's how I imagine it would go… No gens or hooks, no kills or escapes. Just pure looping action for ten minutes. No perks either. When the players spawn in, their auras are revealed to e0 comments 31 views last activity

We know the anti-facecamp mechanic is supposed to disable in endgame…or so we thought. Yet somehow, after I finished the last gen, Nicolas was able to unhook himself, even though he was in second phase. Was it changed to not disable in endgame? Or does the bar remain if it fills up completely before the last gen is done? I went ahead and clipped it to see what happened… https:2 comments 81 views last activity

A lot of people ask for a "concede" option (mostly when multiple Survivors get slugged), or just whenever the opponent is way ahead. I would support the idea for both sides, but I can't help wondering how it's going to work. A lot of people have said there should be a voting system for Survivors, so I'm curious... What would happen if the vote were a tie? Would the Killer have to vote to acc8 comments 121 views last activity

So BHVR is wanting to turn the mori offerings into bloodpoint bonuses for performing the Finisher Mori. Most (if not all) people are against the change, saying they should retire the Cypress offering and leave the Ebony and Iri mori offerings as they are, and I agree with that. The reason I'm against BP bonus for mori offerings is one I've never seen mentioned in any of the posts protesting the2 comments 51 views last activity

I've been keeping track of my own matches, and now the first half of 2024 is complete. So I can see how often perks are used, how often people give up, how often people get tunneled, etc. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lMKd1UaZQFIZTFVeC4CPYsQ1aajVccopefX2HiVE-oA/edit?usp=sharing2 comments 131 views last activity

We've gotten quite the collection of banners and badges since the feature was released. I was thinking, what if we could attach a banner/badge to our characters? What I mean is, the player card would stay at the top right corner as it is, but switching characters would also switch to whatever banner and badge we have equipped on that character. How does that sound?1 comments 11 views last activity

I came across a hex totem that I couldn't interact with on Lery's. Thankfully it was only Thrill of the Hunt and not something worse like Devour Hope. This was located near the main treatment room (which I call the party room, lol). https://clips.twitch.tv/SquareHeadstrongNikudonDxCat-LIZopeK5cqnYcQXG0 comments 12 views last activity

So I'm hearing that in order to carry over your DLC characters to other platforms when cross progression comes out, you have to purchase them in-game with auric cells (which I don't even think is officially confirmed by the devs). However, purchasing them through the platform itself (which is Steam for me), gets you a few cosmetics as well. So if I purchase the characters with auric cells, does1 comments 101 views last activity

In Tome 7, Level 3, there is a challenge to hook the obsession four times in a single trial. This is impossible, as any Survivor will die on the third hook.1 comments 41 views last activity

When you're inflicted with Blindness and someone gets hooked, you don't see the notification bubble that would normally appear. It's bad enough that blindness keeps you from seeing the hooked teammates' auras, but without that initial bubble, you would have no clue where your teammate is hooked. I captured a clip of it, where I just happened to see the Killer carrying the teammate in the distanc3 comments 71 views last activity

So, many people are bored with the same old game, and many people enjoy the limited-time modifiers that the devs have put out in the last few months. But what if we could make up our own ways to play the game to shake things up a bit? I'll share a few ideas that I've seen from streamers. I know there have been some ridiculously hard challenges in the tomes, and some recent ones have been nerfed after people spoke up about them. But now they seem too easy. The second page of the current tome has only been open for two days, and I'm already finished with the Survivor challenges (and I only get to play for about two hours every day). So now I gotta wait two more weeks before the1 comments 21 views last activity

I would've posted this in the appropriate map feedback thread, but they're all closed, so I'm posting it here. Players have already pointed out the massive size of Greenville Square, but I saved a highlight that really emphasizes how huge the map is. I literally had to run from one end of the map aaaalllll the way to the other to unhook teammates, and I almost didn't get there before they rea12 comments 291 views last activity

Many players seemed to enjoy the Void from the last Haunted by Daylight event, so I've been thinking of a possible way to bring it back in some small capacity. This would also address some of the issues that players complain about, such as tunneling, camping, or throwing on hook. This is what I have so far... When a Survivor is hooked for the first time, they are transported to a hook in the Voi0 comments 11 views last activity

One thing I appreciated about the Lights Out mode was having more chests and finding items in them that we could actually use. Of course I realize this was only because we couldn't bring items into the trials. As I understand it, normal trials only have three chests that spawn by default, and that's not even enough to have one per Survivor. And if one of the chests has a broken key, then you're s3 comments 31 views last activity

I missed the livestream, so I missed the info. But from what I've read, the Lights Out mode will remove all info, so there's no terror radius, no scratch marks, no HUD. So does that include auras as well? If so, does that mean if you get downed or hooked, you're basically screwed because your teammates won't be able to find you?3 comments 141 views last activity

I went up against a Knight this morning, even though he's still killswitched (as of the time of posting). Idk if he was briefly re-enabled and then killswitched again or what, as I didn't check the roster right after the match ended. I didn't see any unusual glitches or behavior from him, however. I just thought it was odd...15 comments 591 views last activity

I just had the weirdest thing happen. I think I've come across the most blatant cheater I've ever seen. So much so that it looked like I was the one doing the hacking. I got downed by Chucky several times, and then immediately wiggled off (as if I had DS, but I don't, and I hadn't been hooked, so it wouldn't be active anyway). Then I got slugged, and mysteriously picked up when none of the teamma2 comments 41 views last activity

I've been keeping track of my DBD matches for about a year and a half now, and this year I've expanded it a little. Now I keep track of the Survivors' perks in addition to the Killer's. And the "Special Notes" column can now include notes for each individual, rather than general notes on the match itself. I can even keep track of my Killer matches this way as well (I didn't even bother before bec4 comments 1,473 views last activity

In the latest Player Satisfaction survey, there were several games modes listed and instructions to select which ones would be "most interesting" or "least interesting." I wanted to go a bit further and give a little more detailed opinions on these... Tag A random Survivor is picked to be a Killer. Down a player to swap roles. Survive for five minutes and escape. I've seen some content creators who have the players' names completely hidden during the match, and I'm wondering, how do they do that? All I can find are settings to change player names to their characters' names. One person suggested Anonymous Mode, but when I tried that, it still showed the other players' names during the trial for me.4 comments 71 views last activity

No, this is not another plea to remove DC penalties. The devs have already made their stance clear on the matter, and that's fine. I understand them wanting to discourage willy nilly DC's. But I believe the problem lies with the stacking. There needs to be a cap on it. There's no reason to allow the DC penalties to stack to the point where you have to wait literal DAYS to queue into a match. I be5 comments 61 views last activity

As the title says. If the match is going so terribly that I want to leave, it isn't even worth leaving a bot in my place. I had a few matches this morning where the bots proved to be more harmful than helpful. Knight in Lery's - Two teammates dead already, and the third teammate was slugged. The third teammate DC'd (I suspect to give me hatch), but since the bot took their place, no hatch was sp0 comments 31 views last activity

So I got a controller for Christmas, a GuliKit KingKong Pro 2. It's a very nice controller that works well with my Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch, and PC. But DBD (on Steam) is weird about it. The controller works fine in the menus and stuff, but once I get into a match, the controller doesn't work at all. I wonder why that is?2 comments 81 views last activity
