Also, weren't they supposed to revert the Deja Vu changes once they put in the regression limit? Whatever happened to that?

They want you to play Nurse when Phase 2 'QoL' hits. I would suggest you to train the Nurse before the inevitable 12-hook game arrives.
Already tried, too difficult on PlayStation and not really that fun
-
This is standard. Team 4 outs you? GGs WP!!!! all around. You beat a SWF and they're all still in the lobby? Crickets
-
All the casual survivors are in 2v8. 1v4 is basically ranked mode right now
-
At the end of the day, It's all to compensate for poor map design
-
It's super unfun playing against a team that hard splits on gens to get 3 gens done at the first hook then waits the entire 70 second timer before going for the unhook to pound gens. Most killers don't have the mobility to even do anything about that so the game is basically just lost right from the jump. On top of that most players that play that way are incredibly toxic sore winners. Then on top of that you also get barely any points
I was going to give kudos to the devs for changing the spawn rules so survivors spawn together. That would have helped with that issue, but then they made an offering where everyone starts separated so the SWFs can just spam that instead of Comp Key/MacMillan Bone. Utterly pointless
-
Why have an offering to allow survivors to spawn separate from each other when you've already recognized the large advantage it provides?

Well, the problem is that often, the game is decided in the loadout screen. If I load in with a C-tier killer with a fun build, I can usually do okay against a lot of solo queue teams. But if the other side comes in with 12 second chance perks, 4 gen perks, and comms, I'm going to get maybe 2 hooks.
You kind of have to lobby shop if you're gonna do that, the matchmaking is worse than broken
-
It's not fun constantly getting stunned out of your power

This is the only pvp community where one side gets hate for… trying to win the game?
Yeah the killer is supposed to prioritize the survivor fun! Like a survivor has ever done literally anything to make the game more fun for killer players

For me, the frustration always boils down to doing something that feels like it should have worked and then it doesn't for some reason — so not getting a hit it really feels like I should have gotten, especially when I can't understand why I didn't get it, for example.
This is a huge frustration! I experienced this with Twins and Xeno recently. Victor or the tail attack just straight up not connecting even when aimed dead on
-
Undetectable doesn't do much vs SWF on comms which are the efficient players where you need to tunnel so uh… no
-
Ghoul's not for me after his recent changes. The additional cooldowns for breaking a pallet make him a no go for me. My overall strategy is on forcing pallet breaks as fast as possible because I have a harder time playing around a lot of loops due to playing on joystick/controller. If I can't really catch up before getting to the next loop anyways I'll just stick to Clown or something
-
Getting matched against comp players. it's always a Comp key or macmillan bone offering, gens done in 3 minutes, bodyblocking in first chase, etc. Not only am I way outmatched and just want to go next, but no one gets any points, and I'm usually BMed for a lot of it
-
The survivor equivalent, in my opinion, is Windows of Opportunity. Many survivors literally cannot play the game without it. You can just shut your brain off and never have to even think about or plan where to run to based on what's going on in the trial. It plays the game for you. Hold W, predrop, profit. Most killers cannot deal with that and resources never run out before the gens are done if the survivors aren't screwing around.
It's pointless to make the arguments about SWF and voice comms. We know comms are a massive advantage the way that DbD and its perks/add ons are designed, but people love to enjoy their huge advantage so they constantly either downplay its usefulness or act like no one plays in a SWF of people trying to win
And again it doesn't matter if you hardcore tunnel or play for hooks you're gonna face the tryhard teams either way unless you are a baby or deliberately avoiding killing survivors. That's not a good argument for discouraging tunneling
-
The thing about MMR SOUNDS true but my personal experience tells me it's wrong. For context, I play mostly M1s on console. I almost never hard tunnel because i hate fighting through all the crutch 2nd chance perks yet I get matched with lobbies that have 5k - 10k hour compies every other game. I'm most likely averaging 1.5 kills against them and my MMR NEVER goes down. This system is broken. If you're not a baby at killer, you're gonna right there too, tunneling or not it doesn't matter
-
Console only cross-platform is my DbD dream
-
+1000% bp for killer would be sick

Where here do you see that?
Conversely, couldn't you show your own gameplay and all these so called "forum warriors" give advice?I'm not 12 hooking any SWFs lmao. I play variety killer on console and don't tunnel and I'm lucky if I average close to a 2k vs all the sweats I routinely get matched with.
-
Love when all the forum warriors that are just 12 hooking SWFs left and right with Ghostface show up to tell everyone how they don't ever have to tunnel to win their games and killer is the easiest it's ever been. Conveniently they never show their own gameplay though and teach the rest of us how to do it
-
People want the game to be more fun and balanced for everybody. We want the game to go in a direction where going for max hooks is rewarded and encouraged.
The concern over the upcoming anti tunneling/camping/slugging changes, while we know they are well intentioned, is that competent survivors in SWF will abuse them to make the game unwinnable for 90%+ of the killer roster. The game will become more obnoxious and frustrating for high MMR killer players. We know there's literally no intent or desire to ever nerf SWF and these concerns are always dismissed away as "who cares if they completely break the game, you never play against them anyways" even though I'd say in my own experience 30 to 40% of my lobbies are full stacked meta with people on comms
-
I want a 2v8 theme called TECH AND TERRORS: TRAPMASTERS UNLEASHED that adds Pig, Singularity, Skull Merchant, and Hag all with giga buffs to help them defend generators and trap reverse beartrap boxes
-
2v8 is obnoxious with all the gen rushing. I tried holding a 3 gen and it didn't help, you can't do anything
-
Lol who wants to wait in a 25 minute queue to face camp unless the survivor was BMing or something
-
I'm still playing DbD but only about an hour a night. I'm currently running through Doom: The Dark Ages. I'm also playing about 4 different jRPGs at once (favorite genre). Star Ocean 4 (platinum grind), Trails in the Sky (1st run), Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (platinum run; just finished the brutal/legendary simulator challenges), and Lunar Remastered Collection (first run on Lunar 1)
-
I think there are a LOT of baby Legions in the queues. They're a decent killer to learn for newbies that are trying to learn tiles. If you can't catch someone and down them normally, you can always go fast and stab

I mean, lets be real here - the Devs should have NEVER brought back 2v8 without the fix they are planning to do for queue times. It was a bad decision.
And while their fix MIGHT help with queues, it does not really adress the core problem which is the mode being really unappealing for Survivors. And this is not changed when you can play Survivor while queueing for Killer.
The community voted for it to come back before the queue time fix so they went for majority rule

Yeah, without the abandon feature it's just a waiting simulator.
Five minutes for the last survivor to die, you're actively humped on the ground, and then moried for the thousandth time.
But no, the survivor needs to socialize and have ggs with the killer instead of queuing into another match.
It's like people fighting with thin air, without recognizing how horrific the queues were before this change but no... They need to have the survivors in the game being humped, moried, and forced to sit through it unless they want to DC. I've seen a streamer (I will not name them) who held a streamer hostage for over thirty minutes as they went back and forth downing their SWF teammate (saying they were cheating for SWFing) and kept prolonging the game.
The streamer went to play something else due to how boring that feedback loop is, I'll take the abandon feature any day.
For the record, I wasn't talking about moris or humping on the ground. I was talking about teams where they just go AFK or run directly at me after one of their teammates dies with 1 or 2 gens left. They were happy to play when they could shove their WGLF / DS / OTR in my face, when they had lots of god pallets, and when they could contest every hook threatening a flashlight save or a pallet stun save, but as soon as I started winning oh they don't want to play anymore. I had to eat through all their stupid BS just to get in a position to win and I want to play the game through to the end
-
I had this happen to me yesterday, and I was very frustrated. I was playing Wraith, and I got paired with a baby Legion, frosty eyes, default cosmetic and all. They couldn't frenzy hit more than 2 people at a time and either didn't know how to hook people or just couldn't down anyone. They didn't get any hooks at all. We ended up with about 9 hooks that were all from me and we got 8 outed. I got teabagged / clicked at by 5 - 6 survivors in the exit gates. At least 3 of the survivors had 5k+ hours. I'm not mad at the new player so much as I am at the terrible matchmaking for putting a total newb vs 5k+ hour survivors and I get to enjoy the BM thanks to the terrible matchmaking
-
I kind of feel where OP is coming from. With 1v4 being extra sweaty right now I'm getting a lot of SWFs. They're happy to play when they have all the god pallets, all their second chances, and they get 2 - 3 gens done right away but as soon as I start snowballing and winning they just give up and go next
-
I just got paired with a Legion who either didn't know that you can hook someone or just couldn't down someone. I was playing Wraith and we lost horribly
-
I personally wouldn't care that much about the sound normalization and audio occlusion so much if losing track of one survivor and losing a chase wasn't so heavily punishing as killer. It will straight up lose you the game

because average person on this forum views killer role exclusively from the perspective of momo, supalf and other creators that did massive winstreaks thanks to terrible matchmaking, while they view survivor role from perspective of average soloQ player
Coincidentally that's how the devs view the two roles too
-
All the wizards on this forum would have 12 hooked that team. Most people think those survivors need a buff
-

i'm personally fine with giga buffing all killers across the board and nerfing survivors tools across the board and if survivors complain telling them to kick sand because killer is the power role but we all know that won't happen
I have great news for you: they've already spent 3 years doing exactly that. They even put out stats saying they're hitting those 60% kill rate targets overall, SWF is escaping at roughly the same as solo q overall, and that this has been done intentionally and specifically, not for balance, but because they want killers to be more powerful.
It's just that nothing is ever enough for some of the most entitled people in this community, and those people always want more killer buffs and survivor nerfs, no matter what the facts and data say.
SWF escaping at an 8% higher rate than solo queue over millions of trials is definitely equal!
-
Remember when people used to defend this behavior by saying the survivors just wanted to give the killer extra points at the exit gate? At some point people stopped even putting on that charade lol
-
Patiently waiting for people to realize that solo queue is so bad because the devs refuse to nerf SWF while the two exist in the same game mode
-
The killer should be able to abandon when the survivors hard split and 3 gens get done at 1 hook. 60% of their objective done vs like 8%. I'd rather just go next than continue to play against the mega tryhards
-
Yeah a red stain that you can make as bright as the sun and shine through walls is totally fair!!!
-
I think a dev just recently came back from Happy Happy Village in Earthbound
-
It's just not fun constantly being stunned out of your power over and over again
-
You also cannot hear the new survivor at all since she is so quiet. All the tryhards are replacing tuxedo Ace for her
-
Bringing back those smoke bombs permanently means I switch to being a solo queue survivor main. I mostly play weaker killers so losing one chase is already punishing enough for me
-
I can understand the spawn changes not being done yet due to the other gameplay changes but I don't understand why the map offering change hasn't been done yet. It's literally just changing a number. They introduced a whole new Eyrie map just to nerf the offering but they haven't changed the number on % chance you go to the map. Seems sus. I don't think they're actually going to change it

This community is so cooked that now we have "Us vs Them" discourse about PC and console lol.
Outright dismissing valid grievances as us vs. them. PC has huge advantages over console mechanically, they can use filters and reshade which give an advantage, and the large amount of obvious and subtle cheaters are coming from PC. It's not lost on me that every "juicer" survivor that wins every 50/50, always paths perfectly, and never messes up in chase is on Epic or Steam. The amount of work it takes to try to report a subtle cheater is way too much to ask when they aren't going to get banned anyways
-
I just don't know what the devs are doing with some changes. They nerfed medkits and healing speeds to help make hits more impactful and increase killer pressure but then gigabuffed Resurgence and released these Orela healing perks that just allow everyone to heal in 2 seconds again. It's back to prime CoH days. Coordinated SWFs are feasting with the latest patch

Saying reshade and filters is cheating in 2025 crazy work
I'm on console and don't have those options. Why am I forced to play against people that do? They give an advantage
-
@Nicholas said:
We need console-only cross-play to avoid having to deal with cheating.
This x100. The filters and reshade are cheating too. How am I gonna mind game effectively with a joystick at a loop vs a PC player where my red stain is going through walls and is brighter than the sun
I've gone and watched VODs of my own gameplay and my own red stain is burning the retina out of my eye on their PC

Killers, you will be the funmasters and play for 12 hooks! You will not receive an abandon feature. You will play through the Gen rush and go to the exit gates to receive your parting gift
