I've done every single one legitimately except that ridiculous one where you had to hit two people with one Corrupt purge spray twice in one trial as Plague. I somehow got some random survivors to let me farm it after we went into farm mode
-
-
If you're playing a non s tier it's to give you the fun feeling of getting 3 or 4 hooks before gens are done
-
Lol at whoever says this gives console an advantage over PC. Sorry console has been completely neglected since this game's inception. We don't get reshade to make the red stain as bright as the sun or go through walls. We can't do flicks on killers like Oni, Blight, Chucky, etc. like PC players can
-
People are just big mad that they can't use Windows of Noobertunity to hold W + pre drop this killer
-
Hey autoaim is nice for us playing on console, you know, the majority of the playerbase. It's great to have a strong killer that plays well on console
-
The most fun killer to play against is someone survivors can loop for 5 gens like Pig
-
I was told that i could just pick this killer up and 4k with my eyes closed but it took like 9 matches to get the adept
-
I have no problem beating comp players going for 12 hooks with Trapper without 4 gen slowdown perks, killers are just bad and need to learn how to apply pressure!
-
It's plainly obvious that pro killer posts are downvoted while pro survivor opinions are upvoted to the moon

That the biggest problem in solo queue is other survivors isn't a revolutionary new development (and I think that's mostly down to SBMM being what it is). And then you have people working on tome challenges, which is often tantamount to throwing and results in some seemingly inexplicable behavior. This is all "normal".
It's the solo queue experience, and what you are seeing are evidence of three things that are objectively true:
- Most games are solo queue games
- Most players are very casual gamers
- SBMM throws just about anyone together
So yeah, welcome to solo queue.

Yeah, a lot of killer mains aren't trying to hear that, though.
A lot of killer players can't really wrap their brains around playing sub-optimally because their mindset is built around trying to minimize the risk of losing any given game by going into all of them with the same approach. That's not meant to be a character judgment, but it's just how some people play because they prioritize winning above all.
Speaking for myself when playing killer, I play in a "take it as it comes" way, knowing that while I will lose some games because of that, I will still win most of them because most games are against solo teams, and they're, well, solo teams. I would rather lose a few games here or there than play every game the same way.
I don't see DBD as being a serious game, so I don't take it seriously (most of the time). Many people do, and many people don't. It's one of the reasons this game is so chaotic.
I'd play in a lot more fun, chill way more often as killer if I wasn't always rewarded with teabags at the exit gates, getting emoted every time someone makes a vault, getting noise spammed to go to the gates when I lose, msged gg ez baby killer unalive yourself etc. That stuff causes negative emotions so I just go hard to ensure it doesn't happen. Anyone that BMs is getting BMed back and their time wasted
-
Yes!! Would love a fix for this
-
They should make sure habitual quitters all queue up with each other and keep them out of normal queues
-
Yeah I can't see how anyone could ever play this killer without Bamboozle. I tried and it was awful

Just break the pallets quickly. The faster you get rid of them, the faster you can make every pallet loop winnable
Yeah they don't run out of pallets by the time the gens are done. The amount of pallets on most maps besides 3 is overly abundant

great way of learning how to deal with them honestly never heard of that one before
How do I deal with predropping as an M1?

Killer is the easier role
And just like that you stopped being based
Yeah saying killer is easier is certainly a take. The basis of his argument is just stats that BHVR selectively chooses to release.
When you play killer, you have to manage 4 different survivors. You have to plan out what gens to defend, remember what perks all the survivors have, remember who's been hooked, remember which survivor is your next token for your perks, you have to quickly find your next chase, perform mechanically well with your killer in chase, stay calm and don't get tilted if you run into juicer mcwallhacker, and know when to abandon chase, understand when the survivor is leading you to a bad area of the map etc etc. When you play survivor you sit on a gen and hold 1 button. If you're on comms with your friends, you can just zone out and not even pay attention until your buddy tells you the killer is coming your way. You can equip Windows of Opportunity to tell you where to go at all times so you don't even have to plan or think about your chase route. You don't have to remember what perks the killer has because the game literally tells you whenever a killer perk is active. Watch any killer streamer in a tough match and see how much they have to think about especially if they're struggling. You see them trying their hardest, getting stressed out and then you watch the survivor PoV and they're like super chill just joking around having fun chilling out while the killer is sweating his dick off
Survivor is so much easier to play and chill out on that it's not even close -

Every single time BHVR creates a macro style killer, survivors complain until it gets reworked or nerfed to uselessness.
Meanwhile, survivors also continue to complain about killers like blight and billy who have high mobilitiy
Meanwhile, survivors also continue to complain about killers who are anti loop, like dracula, and houndmaster.
Meanwhile, survivors also continue to complain about killers who give information, like doctor, and old freddy.
Meanwhile, survivors also continue to complain about killers who thrive on hit and run, like legion, and wraith.
Meanwhile, survivors also continue to complain about killers who are good at slugging, like singularity.
Meanwhile, survivors also continue to complain…. and it goes on.
My question is always, what killers DO YOU FIND FUN TO PLAY AGAINST. Because reading this forums, and reddit, and people's reactions in game, there is no killer that is fun to play against.
Survivors like going against a killer that they can loop for 5 gens like Pig
-
I know it's conspiracy territory, but I do think BHVR gives content creators softer queues. They already made it so content creators can't get matched with people with a lot of exploit reports (to prevent them getting matched with hackers that hold them hostage). Back when MMR was tightened up a lot of killer content creators were getting absolutely stomped over and over on stream. Not good for their content or for the game to lose over and over then they lowered the soft cap sometime after. You can revisit these times with the suffering with skill based matchmaking YouTube series
-
I see a lot of PC survivor streamers where the killer's red stain is as bright as the sun and goes through walls on any map
-
The survivor bias has been readily apparent for a long time
-
They should give the killer player a surrender option. Stuck playing against bullies? Surrender and move on to the next game. 3 gens done at the first chase and everyone is pre dropping? Surrender!

The devs literally balance it around swf though - people are going to provide feedback as such.
Impossible though. SWF that know that you need to do generators to escape and can communicate where the killer is are so rare that you'll basically never run into it!!!
-
Here's how a killer gets balanced for low level survivors:
Killers: Wow, gen speeds are INSANE. 3 gens get done at my first hook! That's so unfair that survivors have 60% of their objective done while I get one hook!
Survivors: Holding M1 on a gen is boring. The only thing fun is the chase. Give survivors more objectives don't make gens take longer.
Developers: Here's Sadako, Pinhead, Skull Merchant, etc.
Survivors: Your average survivor doesn't understand how these killers work! They don't know what to do!!! Please rework them!!
Developers: Rework
Gen speeds stay the same -

How so? There are plenty of easy Killers. There are even strong Killers that aren't mechanically intensive. Killer is the easier role, at the moment.
Not gonna list every killer but anyways, playing on console. So Houndmaster, the hitbox on the dog is tiny and you get a really small window to try to hit the survivor on the redirect. Very difficult to use her power against good survivors and also trying to get the search function to point at the appropriate gen is jank. Oh and if you manage to land the power they can just drop the pallet on the dog and you got nothing.
Unknown. You get a whopping 1.5 - 2 second window to be able to hit a good survivor after landing your first UVX shot. It's excruciatingly punishing to miss you're better off playing as an M1 with a teleport against people that know how to dodge it. Plus collision is in no way consistent in this game.
Oni. Vulnerable to FoV techs, can't flick
Pyramid Head. Super telegraphed power, easy to dodge, very clunky to use, you're better off just faking your power constantly against good survivors.
Xenomorph. The tail prioritizes hitting the environment. Terribly punishing when you miss. Constantly get burned out of your power which is super unfun.
Chucky - Awfully slow, laughs all the time which ruins his stealth, can't flick and can't get hits with scamper because the survivor just needs to move an inch out of the way
Spirit. Iron Will is meta and sounds are so jank that you can't hear anything most of the time
I could go on. There's also auto aim and getting spun that screws console killers even harder that you have to deal with. Killers that are easy to play that are decent are like Wraith, Clown, Wesker, Plague. The 2nd iteration of Skull Merchant before they absolutely dumpstered was super solid because she was a strong killer that was easy to play on console but we can't have a really strong killer that's easy to play, survivors won't have fun -
P100 doesn't mean skill, remember?

"I imagine"
We don't know.
Hacking can get interrupted, also, not everyone is a god-tier player. If you'd prefer the mini-game simply be removed, just say that.
The mini game is fine, but it shouldn't reward aura reading on the killer on top of disabling the drone. Yes, not everyone is a god-tier player but only killers are expected to be when it comes to balance and character design
-
This particular design choice with this killer's rework deliberately increases the gulf between SWF and solo queue when people are actively encouraging the devs to bridge the gap between the two. It's going to suck playing against SWF with this killer even more than it already does

No, you dont go against such a team like in the VOD. And you dont go against such a team multiple times in a short gaming session.
Be reasonable.
I literally just played against multiple survivors with 7k+ hours on comms last night on Demogorgon. I got sent to Gas Heaven. I got 1 hit at 4 gens done and got crap for bloodpoints. I'm not a sweaty Blight, I'm a mediocre M1 console player. I have a game like this almost every session where I play about 6 games. They aren't yearly occurrences like a holiday
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Meh, whatever, really. You played one of the worst Killers in the game and go against a 4 man who wants to do some world record attempts. Unlucky, but nothing dramatic, this is not a representation of the actual game.
Not even worth a thread IMO, you will not go against such a squad for years from now on.
Many players such as myself go against efficient teams multiple times in a short gaming session. They aren't that rare. It isn't hard to be an efficient team outside of solo queue. Hand waving away the broken game balance is not fair to people who have to play against it
-
Just apply pressure, bro!
-
Did you ever play against a SWF with a strong looper using the original Object of Obsession? It sounds like you didn't

On the topic of drone hacking, is there a different approach - putting aside aura reading - that you feel would fit into this interaction while still maintaining a risk vs. reward?
The drone is already disabled and she can't use it, right? Aura reading on the killer is way too valuable for a team to have consistently. Aura reading needs to be easier for the killer to get than a survivor because a killer that can't get into chases quickly is going to lose the game badly. SWF will be able to constantly pre-run and have info on Skull Merchant just by having someone dedicated to hacking drones.
-
Not a fan of hacking the drone giving aura reading. SWF can just have someone follow her around disabling them like Trapper and basically having constant aura on her. I'm sure the drone will control like crap for how easy it should be to hit conceptually.
No strong feelings towards Skull Merchant either way but I'm not a fan of designing everything towards the bottom of the barrel survivor players that can't be hard pressed to even think for 5 seconds while killers in this game are designed to be clunky and feel awful to use, especially on console.
-
No one is ever going to fail a hack in its current state, and I imagine the drones will control like crap for how easy they should be to hit in theory (think houndmaster).
-
The Drone hacking needs to be changed. No one ever fails it. Pair it with Eyes of Belmont and it might as well be old OoO where SWFs get constant aura reading on the killer. It's like that Unknown perk you put on that gives you tokens when they miss skill checks and then no one ever misses them
-
You could have Lethal Pursuer on, beeline to the closest survivor you see and down them in a reasonably quick time and still lose 2 - 3 generators in your first chase because of how awful gen speed is
-
I love when he says "I have such sights to show you" during his mori. When I played as Pinhead, the only sights the survivors were seeing is the hook and the floor
-
No because the number of players that can actually play these killers to a level where they're a problem balance wise is so small you'll barely even run into them!!! If that defense is good to keep 4 man SWF untouchable it works for Nurse and Blight too
-
They'll never change it because content creators will cry if they have to actually play against people equally sweaty every game
-
There are things they could do that would help. Offering console only crossplay. They could institute server side that verify that the anon profile Steam player is actually going 110% around the corner of the loop and there's no in-game reason that should be happening
-
The latest update is definitely survivor sided other than small buffs for Legion who is a terrible killer. Xeno got nerfed. We get a new Eyrie map just what we need. A killer perk changed. Surrender option for survivors but not one for killers when 3 or 4 gens get done for 1 hook
-
GG WP is classic BM
-
I think it's a great idea as long as it's fair and killers can opt out of playing against 3 and 4 man SWF
-
PS5 killer main. The quality of my games went up significantly when I started avoiding anyone with "<3" in their name, comp looking Aces, people with special characters in their name, and any lobbies with multiple cross platform anon or multiple TTVs
-
I definitely will never play this killer again when Nemesis and Pyramid Head are just right over there. Constantly getting stunned out of your power is abysmal
-
It's not fun constantly getting stunned out of your power

Attack on Titan which was cosmetics only, but still a license we had and lost.
Oh I have those on Oni and Spirit. Had no idea you couldn't get them anymore. Thanks. And yeah that sucks for people unable to get them now that want them
-
I love when Pinhead says "I have such sights to show you" during his mori. In my trials, the only sights the survivors are seeing are the hook and the floor
