NotQueen confirmed it on Scorpionz twitch
So they ######### lied yet again. "We need to let console players experience first". I've tried to defend them many times when I thought they deserved the benefit of the doubt. But after this ######### I'm done defending them.

Something being mechanically useless isn't scary. It's frustrating. Making a core mechanic like moving frustrating is not a good idea.

What's valuable with Kindred isn't the information it gives you. It's the information it gives your teammates.
That is why Kindred, Aftercare and Blood Pact are very good.
Both are valuable. But if your team won't use that information it's useless. You can guarantee that you'll make use of the information.
-
Detective's Hunch, Quick and Quiet, Inner Strength, and whatever fourth perk you fancy. I know you said no Kindred, but it does give you alot of valuable information. Bond would also be a good fourth. All dependent on your play style.

I think the criticism will eventually get it changed back to the correct one.
Nah, you're being way too optimistic. This is the kind of change they spent money on. They aren't going to revert it. No matter how hated it is.

I mean it's absolutely oppressive; but there is annoying and there is griefing (Holding hostage) which is reportable.
I am just saying it's not really at that level generally outside of some incredibly extreme scenarios possibly, but you would need a mod to know more on that for sure I can only share my opinion and what I've seen them state before.
Agreed. It is rare.
-
It's all due to the percentage of the survivor you can see. The corn just blocks too much of it.

I don't even think it could be done to a degree that it could be reportable that's how much that skirts the line though. As there are things they can do for the most part, it's very hard to win a game if you just move towards a survivor and they hover out of your range because someone will hop on the farthest gen the longer they do that making it even easier for you. If they just hit you and drop the chase and go and hit someone else maybe they are just trying to injure everyone for example to get them healing or something so they can start the process of ending the game. They may be waiting for a survivor to slip up and just, go into a bad area so they can get a quick enough down they can start the pressure of ending the game. Etc....
It's hard but that's just a difficult scenario, for a killer to hold the game hostage in that scenario might be possible, but it's going to be very difficult and require some seriously odd generator positions.
You'll have to get a mod to weigh in on that one because afaik it's not outside of maybe some extreme scenario with very good video evidence of them clearly abusing it to grief survivors, but in general it's not really holding the game hostage.
tldr: What OP did is absolutely not reportable I can say for sure. What you are talking about you'll have to get a mod to answer that because afaik it's not reportable unless it's some really extreme scenario with clear evidence of griefing.
I'm not saying the OP is in the wrong. I'm just saying that the 3 gen strat can become pretty oppressive if the killer refuses to chase.
-
Good lord it's not hypocrisy. They made a judgment call about what would be best. You can disagree with their call. But it's hardly some nefarious plot.
-

That's enough time to start on the other gen, if he goes back to that, then the hurt person jumps on the other. You can whittle away at 3 gens this way it's tedious and an annoying way for the killer to play that situation, but it is not holding the game hostage or reportable.
At that point the killer is not advancing their objective either. I can't see how this is different than the survivors hiding.

I mean if you didn't they would just do the gen farthest and then leave. You have to chase them a tiny bit.
Not committing to the person sprint bursting to the empty side of the map is just the right move.
What I mean is they get in a bad spot, take a hit and the killer refusing to try to down them. Obviously the guy Sprint Bursting away would be a bad chase to take.

They are now even somewhat partly justified that they do nothing, that´s my problem. I hoped it would someday be the other way around.
i don´t wanted to go on this reason specificly it just got me to address my problems.
They aren't even close to justified. The idiots that try that argument were already doing nothing. So in the end the nerf changes nothing but the argument they try to use.
-
The only way I could see it as holding the game hostage is if you absolutely refuse to commit to a chase.
-
Yeah, because solo's needed an excuse to not do anything. The people that did nothing before will do nothing now. DS nerf won't change that.
-
Far too situational for it to be an issue. The gate being open is the only time this will matter. Even then there's so many ways it can fail it's still pretty rare.
-
I see you're point OP, but I think Spine Chill is fine. It is meant to counter stealth killers. And walking at a slight angle counters Spine Chill so I think it's pretty fair. Mikey does get done dirty a bit by Spine Chill. But honestly he needs an update anyway. I've said before he should be 110 in tier 1 to compensate for Spine Chill.
-
I solo and don't use DS. You're way over generalizing.
-
No. That is absolutely insane.

I beg to differ. It worked on nurse
Pretty sure it was that her addons made her completely broken. That and the power bar fetish BHVR developed.
-
Can't really stand him, but he's right.
-
It's like a killer tunneling or camping during EGC. It's the only smart play really and the opposing side has no right to complain.
-
It wouldn't matter. Basically anybody who wants DS already has it.

I'd love to know who you think she is. At first I thought she was the old woman, then Yui because she choked the old woman and choking people is like Nurse's whole thing, but Yui is Yui so I have like no clue where she is in it.
Also it's not really a direct call out to the devs, it's more so a running joke because she still has bugs from when she was introduced, and there is almost no effort put into anything for her outside of nerfs.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1924591#Comment_1924591
ngl I've not payed attention to the trailers so I don't know what the stats or for who was in/left out of their tome trailers. Just pointing it out for Nurse to keep her alive on the forums :^)
The redhead with the syringe is Nurse.

It's not to do you dirty, it's to get certain killers nerfed. Look at the Freddy situation. They give up to inflate the kill rate and make it seem like he's a godly force. Since devs only look at stats, it appears he's literally a killing machine, which in turn, gets him nerfed.
The game is bigger than trying to pee you off.
The majority of hook suicides are because of their team. It's not some conspiracy to get killers nerfed.
-
Why shouldn't the locker still be a thing? If you decide to tunnel suck it up and eat the DS.

Let me get this straight.
You want DS deactivated too after being unhooked with adrenaline?
Yikes, some changes are just never enough.
Let me get this straight. I want to ensure you can actually heal after an unhook. With the reasonable idea that once healed you're fair game. And your take away is to complain that you couldn't stack a heal, and 5 second sprint burst with DS? Really?
-
I don't agree with the healing part. Once you're fully healed yes. But until then no.

Read it again. Recall you need to have the Perk equipped in order for its effects to occur.
"if you are the obsession, your Aura is revealed to the Killer..."
They did read it. You don't have to bring OoO. You just need to be the obsession.
-
My only issue is if it deactivates if you start to heal. If it deactivates when you've fully healed I'd say it's perfect.
-
Friday the 13th. God i miss that game.
-
I don't think they aren't listening. I think they take our feedback with a huge grain of salt. Honestly I can't blame them. Some many times people don't look at the entire issue. That said, they definitely make some awful changes.
-
I was trying to remember who on the forums it was that I knew for sure was colorblind just a bit ago. I'm glad the ones they've done so far are helpful. Hopefully they'll improve them even more before release.

IMO Almo is correct here. Asking multiple times for something where the Devs already said they are aware of it and there is put work into will not speed up the process.
Thats like kids asking their parents on a long car ride "When do we arrive?!" every 10 minutes.
It is quite ironic that the community, who throws ######### at the Devs whenever they get the opportunity to do so complains about a more direct answer.
Ordinarily I'd agree. But considering this is actually a very important thing for alot of players, and BHVR not being good about follow up. I can see why people pestered them so much. Also considering it's been requested for years I get people losing their patience.
-
Or accept that you don't have the right to tell others how to play. Most hook suicides are because of their ######### team. They should not be penalized because their team sucks.
-
The Billy rework. The addons change was fine. The rest was pointless.

What's wrong with the animations? They look nice from what I've seen. I agree with the HUD.
They look terrible. The movements look robotic.
-
If the new hud and animations weren't ######### then people wouldn't complain about them.

@Boss said:
If they insist on Perk levels, but also want to make players (somewhat) more happy, they could make it so Perks only appear once on the Bloodweb as Perk level I, and then you can upgrade the Perk in the Perk menu of the character that has bought it by double-clicking on it, costing the appropriate amount of BP per Perk level.
Those who go for all Perks on a character wouldn't actually save BP, but those who just want specific Perks would at least be able to skip lots of others.
What it does benefit for both types of players is to not have to find it 3 times in Bloodwebs, saving potentially countless amounts of Bloodwebs.
As for finding it the first time on your Bloodweb: That's really a problem with Bloodwebs entirely, and i'd rather not touch that.
I really like this idea. Honestly it feels like the best of both worlds.

But I like having cuddle parties around Bubba. I keep hoping he'll join.
In all seriousness though, he's not OP. He's a solid killer now. But far from OP.

I really dislike the new ui. I'd say hopefully they'll scrap it, but we all know that won't happen.

@RaSavage42 said:
There're too many variables to take into consideration to make a change on DS
Actual Tunneling
Survivor Farming
And DS Baiting
So adding conditions to DS might break the perk... even taking away 15 seconds from it might make it terrible
Have it deactivate when they touch a gen. That alone will make it much more fair.
-
It's not a lack of killers. As others pointed out, people are getting off work and playing with their friends. If you play in the morning you get fast survivor ques and slow killer ones.
-
So they get rid of Ether 10% but leave garbage blindness effects?

I look for these women in every game I play in, and they are ultra rare. Fit shaming is a very real thing. My wife, who lifts, deals with it constantly. The kinds of comments you can throw at swole women that are socially acceptable is nauseating.
Then there are the people that think a girl is "ripped" because she has the faintest outline of abs. If you showed them a picture of Kristen Nun they'd lose their freaking minds.
That's because video games are almost always have their characters be conventionally attractive. Most games won't have a fat guy because most people aren't attracted to it. The same with overly muscular women. As far as irl, people need to mind their own business and stop shaming people for what they look like.
-
If they didn't add it I'll be really disappointed. I was really looking forward to this change.

that half the time you are talking about you are using it in the middle of a dead zone so work or not you are still going down.
the other half makes killers waste way too much time because of your E outplay
I'm talking about being exhausted on the ground when you hit the button you don't actually dead hard but the game thinks you did.
Also it's not my E to out play since I don't use exhaustion perks.

What would be the point of that? Sure it would be nice to see what perks everyone else has, but what does it matter if say no one has an obsession perk including the killer? The point of this idea was for solo queueing survivors to be able to coordinate their perks more effectively with other solo queueing players. The only plus I see coming from this is that you can tell if someone has good perks, but the same can be said if they have bad ones.
So you can plan around stuff in game. For example two people are trying to coordinate a dangerous save. One has BT. It would be helpful to know that so you can ensure they make the save.
-
@DemonDaddy said:
I can see them not doing this for the same reasons they removed visible ranks. Lobby dodges because they don't approve of the build.
All they need to do it make their perk only visible in game. Just put them beside there name in the menu where you can check offerings.
-
More than half the time the perk doesn't work and you're complaining about it?
-
They're always pretty cautious, arguably too much so when it comes to killer buffs. Hopefully he'll get some more love.
