but some ppl need to use a vpn for whatever reason
so blocking all vpns would potentialy stop a portion of the community from playing
What possible advantage could be had as a player to add 20-60ms to your own ping?
-
I keep saying it. Dev's should block known VPN subnets. They are very public. Streaming and TV services do this all the time.

I wish the old rank reset was still a thing, I've seen plenty of people in red ranks who should be green/brown ranks.
But since rank doesn't mean skill, then there is nothing wrong, the only bad part is for new players who have to wait for hours to get into a match
Fair enough. How was the old rank reset better?

Its fine, though I have seen an increase in the about of rank 15 and below survivors and killers in matches.
Interesting! I have seen that when I am queuing in non prime times.

Useless mechanic now that the dev's have openly admitted rank means nothing and the simple fact rank will be nothing but a useless badge once mmr comes so it should just be removed all together imo. Also the reason you are having good games is because most good players come back to play rank reset most just take a break after they hit rank 1 but with the upcoming mmr we won't know what true rank we are so it wont matter if rank reset gets removed.
Also i don't really see the point of rank reset as im still playing technical red rank players regardless of it.
This is what I figured was happening. Most people are playing decent, doing gens, and not being full potatoes.
-
I use it full time now as a fun way to change up my playstyle / builds :D
-
If they camp the gate, I'm not giving them the kill. I'd rather bow to the entity :D
-
Bhvr should be blocking VPN connections from known VPN subnets. Streaming services do this. Getting hit from 6ft away sucks.

I have 100% lost far more teammates as a survivor to suicides than I have to moris. Not even comparable numbers wise for me.
As much as I want to complain about moris, you are probably right.

you good fam...hold that line

The first thing they need to do though is clearly define the win condition for the match.
I'm very interested to see what they end up doing with this.
Yeeeeup. This.
-
I really hope it helps. It is so boring to play with people that aren't trying to win / get gens.
My experience as a survivor in red/purp
10% of games = team is great, gens go at a great pace, and I am not sweating hard
15% of games = super close 50 / 50 with the killer (the best games for sure!) I really don't care if I walk out of these. The game was worth it.
75% of games = team can't past the first couple gens and it's just a lemming fest into the killer around the hooks. No one else is helping with gens.
The fact that bad games are such a high % is making me not want to queue ;\

I'm sorry but saying git gud to someone that is not game journalist does not help at all. If peopel are legit having issues as killer. How does saying git gud help at all? If the issue is they need to learn to play better. How is merely saying git gud and offering no helpful advice at all, useful at all? Since the only thing git gud would do, is just make someone react out of emotion, due to being told to f off, by simply using different wording. If the issue is people need to learn to get better, than spreading knowledge and common tips and advice, would be more useful and helpful to bring people together and lead to more honest talks about balance, rather than saying git gud.
I think Otz showed that if you get genrushed early, you need to exert control and play a tad scummy. How did he do that? From what I saw, he moved traps into position and hovered around the hooks. Basically, he was not going to give these people easy hooks and unhooks. They were forced to keep taking hits. If they don't heal or have iron will, it makes them easy targets on rotation. It was rinse and repeat after that.
Secondary note: Also, even though these people hit gens quick, they were caught out time and again. The Feng running in a straight line through the corn. Why would you ever do that unless you are giving your team time to clear hooks? Then there was Bill, you should be looking for traps around vault points and pallets. These are bread and butter for trapper.
TLDR: If you are getting gen rushed as trapper, patrol hooks / trap the vault points and pallets, and catch non loopers doing stupid #########.

Otz controlled the game end to end. If you have a problem with gen speeds, GIT GUD

A thousand anti-meat plant offerings, YES.

Where are these 4 gen in 3 minute games? Every game I am in my team refuses to do gens and just runs it down to the killer.
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WHERE ARE YOU GENRUSHERS?
-
Yupppp every damn day.
-
This was me yesterday. After 3 consecutive red SWF as a 17 killer, I took a break.
-
As a survivor main (red / purp depending) that plays killer as well, I have found it really interesting how toxic red survivors can be.
If you don't play the turbo meta perk / sweaty / flashlight / sailor steve teabag builds, you are basically told to ######### in post chat. It's also hilarious how hard people flip out if you have a bad game. OMFGGGGGGG SO MANY BADS IN RED RANK GOD DAMN BHVR CLEAN THIS UP. I HATE YOU SO MUCH. Like bro, wow chill out.

Did you try playing at diffrent times of the day?
Yup.
Morning = 20-30 mins
Mid morning = 5-10 mins with half the matches with red ranks as a 17. They were nice in post chat.
Mid afternoon = 1 -5 mins red swf reds as Steve tbagging and telling me to quit the game.
-
I would love some kind of trap mechanism that survivors could use as a second objective.
-
I am a baby killer trying to learn the killer side. I am sitting in 20-30 minute queues. How the hell are people supposed to get better ?? My survivor queues are instant. Shakes fist!

I mean, it was not a five minute game. And these were the kind of survivors who swarm a pallet when a downed survivor is near it, making the objective of downing them an extreme priority.
So yeah, dont complain about me ruinning your fun when you play poorly, you ruined the game for yourself
If your style is start the lawn mower and mow everyone down, good for you.

Tunneling? If the Killer is snowballing and in this case I'll assume they have hooked two survivors to be similar to OPs case. So two survivors hooked, two fully healed. If I find you I'm gonna chase you, I've hooked two survivors since you've been unhooked, I'm not gonna leave you and waste time looking for the only other survivor. It isn't even tunneling at this point, this is trying to keep my pressure up. Tunneling would be choosing to ignore every other survivor and only chasing you directly after unhook, which is an appropriate case for DS to activate, this isn't tunneling.
So you have two people on hooks, and you feel like you need to add additional pressure by killing anything within 20m of those hooks? (that's my issue honestly) And / or patrolling one of the last two survivors who can extend the game. What % chance do you think a double hooked survivor team can come back ? .5, 1%, 2% chance? The only 5 minute survivor induced game I've played was due to matchmaking (red survivors vs green killer). The amount of killer side 5 minute games is unreal.
Here's my thing, if you play killer to ruin people's games (snowballed double hook in the first 5 mins are ruined games IMO), great. Just don't expect people on the other side of it to just sit back and say wow that was fun. It wasn't. Whether I escape / win / lose, the fun for me comes from the game being competitive not a gen stomp or 4k fiesta. JMO YMMV.
-
I can't tell you how many games I've been in where the killer is snowballing with 4 or 5 gens up.. They then get greedy and start tunneling everything.
I see streamers and youtubers doing it too which reinforces it. DS OP? LOL
-
He dunks the one or two potatoes in your solo queue pretty damn hard.
-
You would think every huntress is a Pat Mahomes clone. It's also terribly frustrating when you are completely out of LOS in a chase with said killer, and you are eating hatchets...
yes yes get gud etc etc survivor main looking for handouts o-o
-
How many killers actually play this legion build for fun? Seems like farm simulator to me.
-
Throw her a buff and nerf the rng on the head traps. Something that takes 2 seconds to do shouldn't equate to 2-4 mins running around the map doing side quests.
-
I only offer during swf as well. Probably 75% of my solo games have killers that are too lazy to leave a 30m radius of the hook.
-
Where are the top tier killers?
-
A couple things that are boring right now for me:
Legion spam
S tier killers doing 30 meter loops on hooks and then saying bro I wasn't camping (is it omg survivors are so dumb or you are lazy looking for easy kills/bps?)
-

Yes!
If you loop the killer literally the entire match, and your actions result in all five gens being popped and everyone getting out alive, you will de-pip. That doesn't make sense to me, because in that scenario you were the MVP.
You the real mvp :D
-
It really sucks when you get tunneled early while the gens are dropping. You can't contribute. You finally get some room to breathe, and you can't do enough (avoiding third hook, helping team mates etc) to avoid a depip. I think this is a great idea.
-

Bad idea. It'd just lead to survivors equipping builds specifically against whatever the killer is and/or last-second killer switching.
You could easily force people to lock in to avoid that.
-
How about survivors actually seeing the killer in lobby? See Trapper? Run small game. See a ghostface? Run spine chill or the like.
And/or have a perk pick ban where killers and survivors can ban certain perks in the lobby.
Thoughts?

Honestly after being pitted against a red rank killer time and again, it can be a little refreshing having an AFK killer. It's the last thing that should happen, but at the same time as a level 8 survivor I shouldn't be having to face level 1 Killers either.
I was going to write up some pitchforky / killer's should be penalized post. I read your post, and I thought yup had that same feeling. :)
