  • I fail to see how Electric Starter is any different than his base gameplay of fluttering the saw. It's not like it slows him down or causes any penalty at all.

Even with minimum charge time, survivors have plenty of time to react and start dancing to evade it. This literal insta saw would give survivors no chance to guess when he will use it. This is also why I think the cool down should be tripled as he will be punished for missing and he really shouldn't be able to chainsaw every 3 seconds when he has insta saw

The tripled cooldown is too punishing..
You would need to use the Thomson's Mix.

Plenty of us want him, but Jason will be very hard to find a place in DBD. Here are my THEORIES why. Note that I will be using lots of references to the game, not the movies.

    1. Trapper's Existence.
Trapper is based off Jason, like Billy is based off Leatherface. BHVR didn't have the resources to get the license to use so they made up trapper. But Leatherface is here so why not Jason? That leads me to my next theory.

    2. What would be his power?
Leatherface and Hillbilly share the same device but they use is in almost the exact opposite way. Hillbilly's use is long and narrow, having the infinite sprint and limited mobility. Leatherface is the opposite. He has a short and wide path which is much easier to hit and to use in the chase as he can still turn normally. The problem here is that any possible powers for Jason have been taken. Want to dash? Use The Pig. Want to teleport? Use nurse. Want traps? Use trapper. Slight movie reference as Jason used a bow and arrow ONCE in the remake. Oh, play huntress she has ranged attacks. See? Possible powers for him are already used.

    3. He has his own dedicated game.
I hope we all know about FT13 the game. He LITERALLY has an entire game dedicated to just the Jason Voohees franchise. While I know the game has lost lots of popularity it's still exists and you can't deny it.

I know we all want him but feel free to come up with a way he could get in the game.  I personally would like to see Camp Crystal lake realms more than just Jason alone.

I mean, you really are an idiot, breh. People said the same exact ######### before Leatherface came out. They were so sure of themselves, making pompous posts just like yourself, insisting with absolute certainty that Leatherface would not come to the game.

Anyway, he is coming to the game. It's going to happen. We just have to wait for the court case to get settled first which might take a year or two.

OP's point about the powers made me laugh because it's clear that he didn't watch any of the movies. He probably saw some clips on Youtube and thought he knew everything. Jason used a wide variety of weapons including his bare fists. He didn't actually use a bear trap in any of the movies up until the remake. Not to mention that in part 8 he could teleport around. I just find the comments insisting that he'd use bear traps to be funny because they're from clueless people. That would be like insisting Freddy could transform into Super Freddy because of that one scene in Nightmare in Elm Street part 5 and that would be his main power.

The point about Jason having his own dedicated game is null because Friday the 13th The Game is rapidly dying. Player count is at the lowest it's ever been on Steam and the developers certainly helped to kill it with their terrible updates that just kept breaking the game.

Also what would be the power then @Hillbilly420? I like the idea of smashing the environment to end loops@FayeZaraha
  • What I feel would be perfect is if survivors could not do ANYTHING when asleep. Only save people from hooks. How it would work if everyone gets put to sleep. Freddy gets one on hook, they are woken up. While he chases another, one goes for the save and they wake each other up. DONE. they can't wake themselves up. Also the dream trantition can stay 7 seconds BUT when doing so they are halted on all actions, even hook saves, which will end the helplessness Freddy has.
  • My idea is an Electronic starter add-on. The saw is would LITERALLY instantly start. But a huge cool down when using it.
  • True. Survivors feel like every single one of them should be able to escape and that can't be true. A great killer should be able to get at least a 3K, AND the only reason that one got away was because of the hatch. Have you tried Identity V? Not saying that you should leave dbd but they have this kind of balance. I have 3/40+ games I actually lost as a hunter. Dbd needs that balance.

Not bad, but survivors will prevent it

    Sadly true.....

Your hatch closing idea sounds good though I wonder how it will affect Lightbringer and Gatekeeper. The free generator will still give the last guy hope so it fits lore wise.

The door regression should be just a solid channel to reset the progress. This will cause door regression to be a risk to survivors and killers. The killer closing an opened door will produce loud noises (Claxons and Creaking) giving nearby survivors a chance to sneak out or run through the closing gap. This has the risk of being noticed by the killer and caught. This also has the risk of the killer missing nearby survivors sneaking by with Urban Evasion. The killer channel essentially blinds the killer, thus balancing a temporary exit reset. Survivors in the exit space would need to be forced out after the door is closed. As otherwise some toxic players would simply hide and cower behind the exit gate and take the game hostage.
Ok, but the channel would need to be quite long or on maps were the doors spawn close together would be hard for the survivor. But in reality it is already too easy

something else needs to be done to change the end game... as of now... say you're chasing a survivor and the gates get powered... after you hook them what's the point of leaving that survivor?... the end game should work in the sense of them needing to find a key in order to open the gates... with a search in place that would give the killer a reason to leave the hook and hunt for another victim...

That's why we need this. So camping is no longer the only option when the gates are powered.
  • I personally main Billy as he is easier and still powerful.
  • Any guess for console release? I can't wait for trapper buff.
  • Slug the second to last survivor, problem solved.

The person on the ground could still get out. Sure it is now really easy, but you could just confirm your 4 man by closing it. Problem solved, just better.
  • They had this fixed and then they didn't put it in. You can blame survivors but I blame BHVR as they missed out on a big problem being fixed. I would rather close the hatch and patrol doors then have a hatch game. It would force the survivor to show themselves.
  • What are they changing? I just don't know.
  • When I get more than 1 DC and another dead I usually let the last one farm a bit before killing them. Like if they didn't get a single gen done I'll let the last one fix two gens while I watch them. Then I end their suffering.
  • I play on console but sounds like you need to look up some guides.
  • Btw you can't lunge when carrying a survivor.

add WAY more line of sight breakers. Do some other stuff. Shrink killer hitbox. Basically, survivors are TOO WEAK at losing the killer, but TOO STRONG at distracting him

Also a reduction of pallets, and only one per loop. Like the Crotus Spent asylum middle building. The two pallets at one entrance is just bad. In the terms of the pallet reduction maybe a max of 15 per map and minimum of 10.

The stealth of survivors should be increased. When in a locker only one bird shows up after 5 minutes. (They are afk) Scratch marks could be shown for like a second less. Tracking perks are fine. The survivor must have skill to know not to heal in the terror radius or to run the opposite way after a killer hooks someone.
  • Flashlight saves should be only from the front. It's ridiculously bad when I am staring at a wall and I get blinded by someone I can't even see.
  • These perks were all a bit much. Many are situational and they are meant to be.
  • @Runiver what all killers want. Well said.
  • Very interesting. Trapper is getting a big buff and that is one of the main weaknesses he has that I feel is balanced. If you want to set up you must gather traps. You already see them so it's not bad. The thing is that I don't see any point to this. Unless you used all the traps in the area it would take more time to get them from closets assuming that you only get one.

  • Holding the game hostage is bannable. You're the one we shouldn't be listening to.

Ok, I seriously didn't know that until now. Jeez
  • Alright. So I feel this has been answered. 5% would be good but unnecessary. If you want I will be making a post on ways to shorten the chase as it's the real problem. Hope to see you guys there.
  • 5%:1, 10%:1( my vote)
  • I'd like to see a PTB were the meta has been swapped. Killers have all the power and survivors must rely on teamwork to have a chance of winning. Because that is how these games should be. So can we all have a agreement with the 5-10% buff because I feel we are off topic.
  • Never said you didn't love him. Hope he does that build. Can we all end the crap about the bloodlust that is a different post.
  • Not saying you suck. What do you main @ItsDaEmuDood?
  • Alright @ItsDaEmuDood so you must suck to get bloodlust? I see plenty of great killer players get bloodlust. Might just be tier one but I don't think Monto sucks at killer.
  • For well versed survivors this isnt an issue, pallet looping, juking, and gyms. Using just pallets and leaving none for end game is the players fault
Or the killers good play for breaking all of them.
  • Bloodlust is fine. If you get a tier of bloodlust you have been awarded for keeping up with the chase and are being given a chance to get an easier hit.
  • @Jack11803 you going to get back to the point of this post or you going to keep correcting me?
  • 5% isn't enough. 10-15 I feel would be perfect. I agree with 10.
  • Ok now you are just saying that I am weak. Dude really? Did I get my point across? Yes I got what you meant.
  • I am personally a Billy main and don't deal with pallets too much. But I have played enough trapper and Leatherface to know what it is like.
  • I like how you said that buffing this would be murder. So it would allow the killer to KILL! I already said that 50% might be OP. 30-40 seems fair.
  • DON'T do this. It's absolute cancer and it will not improve your game.

Please, for the love of god, don't do it.

It's essentially holding the game hostage, especially with a Doc and the ######### build.

Do it!!!!! Hold the game hostage because it is you job as a killer to do so and drag out the game. It will definitely improve your game! I turned a 1 man into a 4 man because of a three gen strat where I could stand in one spot and see all gens. Don't listen to this guy.
  • Most of the time if I get a a survivor who has been being toxic and the game is basically already lost I'll make sure he dies.
  • Ok. So 30%. 10% increase.
  • Oh, my bad. Sorry just seems like everyone else is.
So can we talk about what this post is about now?
  • 100% is OP. 50 seems like it would make it a viable perk for the meta. Combine with enduring, challenge every one of them and never risk anything. Chases are already too long.
  • Jack11803 said:

50% is actually disgusting and I don’t understand how you think that’s okay

Ok so then what do you think should be the number? 40? I can tell you don't play much killer just from your toxicity.
  • Good. The generator reduction needs to be added as you could just go to the gen and if you don't see them just kick and leave. Would be evil if you combine with overcharge. Agreed on the 50% the perk has seen lots of powercreep.
  • With no toxicity unless he is running the drift king build eventually he will have to stop because of the way the maps are made.
  • I'm on my phone so it might be different.
  • My gut's telling me it's a licensed Killer. But licensed from what is a big question. Jason, Pinhead, and Ghost Face are off the table ATM because of legal issues. I wouldn't be surprised if we see them next year.

F13 fanboys are going to be salty af when Jason is in DbD.

They may not add Jason as trapper is a spin off of him. ( Like hillbilly and Leatherface.) But who knows because Leatherface is here so they might find a new power for him.
