I'm literally not playing the game because solo is so miserable and the only killers I ever go against go out of their way to be as toxic as possible.
The last match I had before starting my hiatus, a Blight body-blocked me an entire round until I died by EG.
I'll come back when the Halloween event starts, but I'm sure killers will be like they were last event: bringing moris every game to ruin everyone's fun of trying to enjoy the event -this is why I have like 200 unused anniversary cakes.

If a killer is going to tunnel someone, it's usually because that person is the weakest looper and they see an easy opportunity to remove them from the game. Even weak loopers can do gens, but they can't waste time in the chase. Might as well take a little bit of time to permanently remove their ability to do gens.
That's obviously not every time you get tunneled. Sometimes it's the opposite even, where you run the killer for three gens and they get so fed up with your ######### that they decide they want you dead. Sometimes it's just your teammates saving right in front of the killer without BT.
Still, if you're getting repeatedly tunneled match after match and usually de-pipping, there's probably something you could be doing to avoid that situation. That's why it sounds like you're a bit boosted (or, if you play in SWF, that your squad mates are better than you). I haven't seen you play and I'm not a god at the game myself. You could also just be exaggerating your results. I'm just going off what's in your post, though.
Solo survivor, never queued with anyone, consistently rank 1-2.
You will de-pip if you do not finish at least one gen and contribute to altruistic actions. For example, I've looped a Blight for 5 gens, downed by NOED (people don't cleanse in solo), died on first hook, and still de-pip.
Can't pip if you're camped on a hook and didn't get enough altruistic and objective points prior.
Can't pip if you're morid off hook.
Can't pip if you're body-blocked by an offended killer and die to EG. (Just happened the other day, recorded as well. One gen done, he never hooked anyone, was mad I was trying to make him walk up stairs on Hawkins to get me in the hidy-hole tube so he wouldn't let me out.)
Killers don't tunnel to remove the "weakest", they tunnel because it makes the game easy mode unless you have the privilege of three other survivors body blocking and bringing borrowed time. There's countless bullshit reasons they do it. I've witnessed countless high rank, high hour survivors camped and tunneled out of a game within the first 7 minutes just because the killer wanted to. It has never been removing the weak link. It's just being an #########.
The only thing you have to defend yourself from it is a 5-second stun and MAYBE borrowed time. You don't have God loops next to hooks to run into.
My original post was describing the shenanigans I deal with as a solo survivor every time I play DBD, while killers have the audacity to cry about an occasional stun and t-bagging as if it's game ruining.

You're probably exaggerating, but if not it sounds like you're a bit boosted and you'll eventually settle out to a rank where you're getting picked on less ;)

If you're de-pipping that many games in a row, I highly doubt that killer behavior is a relevant factor.
I guess the "repeat every day" didn't make it clear enough that I was summarizing every survivor game and not literally writing out my games.
But thanks for assuming I'm boosted because of how a killer decides to play? I'll keep in mind that it's my lack of skill that causes the killer to proxy camp my hook to immediately down me again, thanks!
-
First game of the day: Tunneled off first hook and killed with mori, de-pip
Second game of the day: Tunneled and face-camped, de-pip
Third game of the day: Slugging Sally at 5 gens, de-pip
Fourth game of the day: Tunneled out of game within first 5 minutes, de-pip
Fifth game of the day: Another tunnel and death by mori, de-pip
Sixth game of the day: Tunneling forever Freddy, de-pip
Repeat every day.
Wow I wish I could complain about killers just spamming crouch and using a one-time stun. I'd actually maybe enjoy survivor then.
Oh right, killers have it hard because they can't take the major emotional trauma from people crouching and clicking a flashlight
-
The real kicker is killers defending their strong combos yet crying about survivor combos every day.
-
Not surprised that the "dream patch notes" in this post and thread are just gutting survivors.
Entitled survivors though.
-
Found the tunnelers in this thread.
-
Survivors DC because they don't want to play against your bullshit builds or easy-mode killers. I love how I only ever see the ones complaining about people disconnecting are killer players that got their stack/mori/tunnel/camp/forever build/Freddy/Legion/Spirit/iri-head denied.
If you want to play in an unenjoyable way, expect people to not want to play against it. No DC penalty will ever stop it - in fact a hard DC ban in this specific game will just greatly reduce the amount of people that play the game, which I believe the devs deserve to see.
-
The 'tunnels a lot' category is actually extremely accurate, I would just add Legion to it. Though I've been tunneled by every killer in the game.
-
Because killers have become problematic. Legion is unfun and miserable to play against to this day.
Instead of applying DC bans as if they committed a federal crime, the developers should actually make killers enjoyable to go against. Punishing people for leaving a match that they're not enjoying is a great way to further kill your game. The devs are great at making moves to kill the game though.
-
I once had a Yui disconnect to give me hatch because she didn't want to lay on the ground for 3 minutes. I healed her once or twice off the ground before that but it's ridiculous how killers slug for the 4k so much because their ego would be hurt otherwise.
That's not the first stranger I've had disconnect to give me hatch - True heroes.
-
How can anyone call survivors entitled after reading this thread? Killers want to nerf everything that counters them in the slightest. God forbid survivors have anything to work with besides pallets and windows, right? Insane.

These are 3 of the 4 matches I played tonight. I don´t have a screenshot of the 4th because I got my ass handed to me so hard all I wanted was to get out of endgame screen asap :P
And by these screencaps, you can clearly see you had no problems with it i.e 4k every time. Calling for Spine Chill changes is absurd.

Killer main, but play both sides (like 60/40 split) - My sympathies are mostly with survivors at this point. When a killer has a dogshit game on a terrible map vs stacked 2nd chance perks, it's horrible for sure and shouldn't exist, but those matches are FAR less frequent than bullshit unfun survivor experiences, Iri Head, Mori, Spirit etc. Boring as ######### experiences that you wish you'd never queued up for, I don't frequently DC, but I alt f4 hidden offerings unless I'm in 4 man (in which case we usually sweat and tbag, because honestly ######### people who bring moris).
Infact, in general, most of the killers we utterly destroy are the boring ones, which is definitely somewhere between 1 in 3 or 1 in 2 games depending on luck. Killer is Spirit/Freddy/Phead/Slinger? Chase interaction is boring af, just sweat gens, try and destroy them, get out to go next. Hard camping? Just rush gens. Mori? Definitely could never main survivor as someone who enjoys chaes and not stealthing, when the most fun part in a decent number of games is just holding M1 and destroying the killer because he wants to play boring #########, pretty satisfying too. If the killer actually picks someone fun, don't care about winning, just want to make it a fun match - point being that this is because there's no fun to be had when you're vs one of the aforementioned killers.
Feel sorry for anyone who mains survivor honestly, I've always seen people say stuff like 'try killer and you'll feel real pain' 'i feel so sorry for killer mains' - in my experience playing current dbd, the opposite is true for me, survivor is a decently miserable experience and some days I just have to drop it and play another game/switch to killer, as going vs a Spirit into Iri Head into a first hook mori is pretty depressing, yet I notice killers complain far more and it kinda baffles me.
Yeah, I main survivor. I one-tricked Spirit at one point to get the rank 1 achievement, and I go back to killer to grind BP and tome challenges, but I end up being more bored playing killer than survivor. Though it's a lose-lose situation because 8/10 of my survivor matches aren't very enjoyable anymore. I'm a solo survivor so it's even worse.
I really enjoy facing a Demogorgon and Doctor (if it's not a 3-gen doc), but the only killers I really ever see at rank 1 are Freddy, Spirit, Slinger, and Pyramid Head (as you said), and it's the same build/playstyle every time.

######### are you talking about? None of the stealth killers are good
I really don't care if they're considered good or not. Changing Spine Chill wouldn't make a difference. Deal with the fact you're not going to get free grabs and insta-downs on everyone.
What are you guys going to complain about next? Camaraderie lasting too long? I wouldn't be surprised.
-
Why? So stealth killers can have extra easy mode?
-
It's miserable to play against killers these days. It's always a forever build or a sweaty slugging 4ker. That or being tunneled and camped. Lately I've even watched Vinc3ntVega disconnect to avoid the bullshit killers do.
It has gotten so bad that I now use task manager when the killer brings a secret offering. I just won't put up with it anymore, lul.
-
Tunneling (and camping) need to be punishable, yes. The band-aid perks we have are not enough. I've ran into 6,000 hour rank 1 killers that hard tunnel off hook. It's pathetic and needs to end.
I'd love to use a different perk in place of DS but I can't because I want to be in a match longer than 5 minutes.

Hes saying a obsession even being in the game forces you to slow your momentum because you can hook 2 survivors and still get stunned by a ds which then makes you lose up to 40 seconds of time (even longer if the survivors a god looper) another anti momentum perk was MoM which was horrible. Also hes one of the better players.
No, he didn't mention anything about a second survivor. "Killers have to be mindful anytime someone goes down too quickly after an unhook" i.e. I can't put this survivor back on the hook after downing them 10 seconds after their last hook.
"He's one of the better players" is extremely debatable. This community might be a little better if people didn't praise streamers and their opinions.
-
Otz is just saying that an obsession doesn't allow you to tunnel. People actually like this guy? Wow.
-
RIP Decisive Strike. Dev screwed up with the response to this post.
Hope they figure out some sort of built-in anti-tunneling system when DS is now inevitably nerfed to 45 seconds or lower.
Just continued easy-mode for killer. Oh well.
-
Um, I don't enjoy staring at my survivor bleeding out on the ground?
This game has a lot of major problems, one of them being that you're able to alt-tab out of the game and watch a 5 minute video because a killer decides to let you bleed out. I would know - I've been the victim of it many times.
I shouldn't be able to do that - I should be playing the video game. Yet I literally can't when I'm being slugged by a sweaty 4ker.
-
On no. Your forever builds are just a microscopic amount of time reduced now.
-
Apparently making a killer actually balanced is killing them.
A lose-lose situation is not balanced. You either vaulted or dropped a pallet and got hit by his power or would get hit with an M1. Now this needs to be done with Slinger.
I'm sure you can just switch to Spirit, Slinger, Freddy etc for a continued easy mode experience with killer, since you're so broke by this.
-
DS and UB can only be used once per match, if even given the chance all.
PGTW can be used every time you hook someone. Why is this even something to complain about? You can't walk to a gen within 45 seconds?
I can foresee DS being nerfed to 45 seconds now because of the crybabies in this thread.
Also, did you really just say Tunnelhead's lose-lose scenario is good? You really think a killer that you can't vault or throw a pallet down against is good? A killer that can get away with hitting you no matter what you do? Please stop playing the game.
-
@ClickyClicky said:

and yet dead hard for distance to a window/pallet vs an M1 killer is perfectly balanced and requires so much skill from survivors right?
Oh wait....
I can tell you now survivors will be able to bait the window, have PH put his sword in the ground, then when he pulls it out but can't attack they'll just fly out of the window anyway.
What does Dead Hard have to do with anything? I never even use that garbage perk and it's easy to bait anyways.
Also, yeah, that's what a proper mind game is? The survivor is actually able to bait the attack and not be punished for it AKA hit with an instant M1.
-
@ClickyClicky said:
Lmao he’s dead. I was wrong, the devs really do cater to entitled survivors.
Did you not read the explanation that it's a lose-lose situation when he fakes his power? It has been a problem since his release.
Boo-hoo, Tunnelhead players actually have to use their brain now.
-
I use Spinechill because I'd rather not give a free grab to a stealth killer.
I can't believe Spinechill is being complained about now. Survivors just can't have anything, can they?
-
Nice bait?
I got to rank 1 killer in less than a week one-tricking Spirit. While I have 800 hours as solo survivor. No matter that Spirit is an easy-mode killer (so is Tunnelhead, Slinger, Freddy, and literally any other killer that decides to camp and tunnel).
I faced t-bagging and flashlight clicking but how is that such a problem? You're really that offended? Never once did I feel "justified" to camp or tunnel a "toxic" survivor and everything still worked out perfect. I never once felt stressed playing killer unlike every game of solo survivor. I still go back to playing killer for more BP because killer's have that advantage (and many more) - and am still in red ranks.
Literally the only things killer face that can be considered "toxic" is t-bagging and flashlight clicking. Yet here I am dealing with face-camping, hard tunneling, mori-ing off of first hook every game. Should I also express Tunnelheads purposely dropping me onto a trench so they could mini-mori me? How about the times I had Ghostface's t-bag me the entirety of bleeding state? The Doctor's forcing a 3-gen and refusing to kill anyone or let survivor's do gens? The tunneling iri-heads? The killer slugging for a 4k making the game go on forever because if a survivor got the hatch their ego would be hurt? The AFK wraiths? The many times I de-rank because a killer decided to camp and tunnel me out of the game within the first 5 minutes while they receive no punishment at all? I could write a 10-page report of how killers are toxic and deal with nothing in comparison to a solo survivor.

U survs have been playing easy mode since SWF is added while killers cant counter comms u can do totems and counter ruin and those perks.
You're speaking to a player that has spent my 800 hours as a solo survivor. I've never queued with anyone.
Your argument doesn't apply. SWF is a completely different game. Killers have the power role - I have all the experience to prove it.
-
I've yet to play against a killer that wasn't running Undying with Ruin and/or Haunted Grounds, NOED, Devour Hope.
I instantly laugh when I tap a generator at the start to check for Ruin, and it shows up. Boosted guy playing an easy-mode killer incoming.
Want to cleanse totems? Nah, thanks to the aura reading of Undying, the killer is coming towards me the moment he sees me on a totem.
-
A killer can play scummy if they want to. 9 out of 10 killers I face at rank 1 camp, tunnel, and mori off first hook. There's no consequence, I just have to deal with it.
The problem is the devs thinking this is okay when really they should want a survivor to live longer than 2 minutes in a match. Camping and tunneling should not be promoted, yet they consider it a legitimate strategy.
Killers playing this way has only caused a tremendously negative impact on the game and community.. but the devs just.. don't care? Yeah.
They'll release band-aid perks and incentives to killers to not remove a survivor out of the match in the first 90 seconds, but killers do not care and will just continue to be rewarded for playing this way - proven by the fact rank 1 killers play this way.
In fact, just yesterday I faced a rank 1 6,000 hour clown that tunneled Nea off hook both times, ignoring me body blocking the entire time just to kill her. She disconnected, rightfully so. No toxicity by survivors, he did it to everyone. I killed myself on hook to not deal with it but if I was Nea I would have also disconnected.
This isn't a one time thing. This is 98% of my matches and it makes the game terrible to play. Thinking survivors have the power role or are favored is idiotic.
-
Head on + DS. Get double tapped.
-
Head on. I like to pair it with DS to double tap killers. Makes me laugh.

Read before posting... No one is talking about banning.
Your team gets very weak as 3 when someone leaves, they should get some punishment for ruining other people's experience so they don't do it again.
The question being asked is how to "punish" people who DC or suicide and the second reply is saying to ban them.
You all could, y'know, grow up and not cry over a DC in this game? It's not an e-sports championship where the winner takes home a cash prize. Blame the devs for making so many aspects of the game unbearable that people decide to DC. But no, you all want to punish the people who won't tolerate the BS and actually want to have fun playing a video game.
-
- Completely remove Legion from the game.
- Remove every power, Hex, and perk that grants an insta-down.
- DS time extended to 120 seconds, can be used twice a match, and now stuns the killer for 7 seconds. I'll never be tunneled again.
-
Imagine banning people for leaving a video game match they don't want to play in.
DBD has the most sensitive community I have ever encountered.
-
Complaining about a free skin for the most annoying killer in the game that no one should play.
-
Don't worry, the devs say camping and tunneling is a legitimate strategy.
That means they could not care less about the solo survivor experience or how killers ruin a game.
-

Are you really that much entitled? Your behavior is the reason why this community is the way it is.
It's the truth, no? Fred has a lot in his basekit - everyone knows he's an easy 4k. Not sure what I'm so "entitled" about, but that's okay!
-
Probably mid-chapter update.
That's what I'm assuming since it didn't come with the hotfix this latest Tuesday, and it took them till mid-chapter update to fix the hill bug.
Until then, it's a great time to not play the game.
-
Undying + Ruin = new small PP build.
Anyways, blame the way killers play for survivors running these builds. If camping and tunneling is a "legitimate strategy", then so is running DS + Unbreakable.
-
Lul, this should be a general update.
"Paying attention to what pallets are real or fake" doesn't apply to a solo survivor who's doing a gen on one side of the map, not able to see what pallets the survivors are wasting on the other side.
Freddy has enough going for him as it is - this would be a healthy change. Unfortunate that it's a bug.
-
Truly, how does DBD release such game-breaking and exploitable bugs every update? I've played/play a lot of games that go through regular updates and nothing like this happens.
Is it carelessness? Small staff? They go through PTB and yet major bugs will still hit live. I can understand minor bugs slipping through the cracks but how do they not catch bugged DS or unreachable totems? Or a survivor making no sound and the inability to hook? Just how?
Then they take the longest possible time to push out fixes. Some bugs are still around after years, no?
-
Yikes. I already wasn't playing because of the current bugs - now this current level of the archives will keep me off for even longer. A few of the killer challenges call for plays that I'd rather not have to deal with. Good thing I have already finished the rift.

crutchin on that DS huh
you act like every player you face: 1) knows the bug exists; 2) knows each killer that's affected by it
I only knew of Spirit until today when I played Freddy
welcome to killer life post-Ruin deletion bud
The two different huntresses I faced who tunneled through hook and bugged DS, and then through the second hook sure knew about it - if the shaking their head after DS wasn't confirmation enough.
And the Freddy. And the Spirit. And the Wraith.
You're going to claim I crutch on DS and then immediately follow up with a complaint about Ruin being changed? Kind of hypocritical, 'bud'. You have a million other slow down perks while the only defense a survivor has against tunneling is a 5 second stun (3-4 if you count the seconds it takes to be dropped) that can only be used once per match, if given the chance.
Okay buddy oh boy oh bud.
-
Didn't get fixed with today's hotfix so knowing BHVR, it'll take months.
I can't play the game until then - I tried but I was tunneled every time by the killers the bug was active on.
How can killers complain about DS when they go and do the act that is the reason DS won't be changed? This bug just shows more true colors. If anything, DS should receive a longer stun.
-
Alt + F4.
-
The devs don't care. It's that simple. They consider it a "legitimate strategy" even though it only harms the game. They just don't care.
-
I t-bag and Head On + DS combo every scumbag killer I come across, which is more than half my matches.
