This post is full of false information:

The Hud does not lift Solos to SWF. Not even close. But at least you now see that your teammates are not efficient.

Survivors dont get Perk Nerfs? Survivors get the majority of Nerfs since the game came out. This cannot be denied.

DH was nerfed quite a lot with the most recent Nerf. The fact that you cannot have DH in your first chase and only get it when the Killer already built pressure is HUGE.

The Healing-Nerf was 100% a Nerf as well. CoH is borderline useless and you should thank every Survivor who still runs the Perk. Medkits got nerfed as well, they are still decent, but not as strong as before. The only thing taken back was the awful Nerf to altruistic healing which never was the problem to begin with since it requires two Survivors not on Gens.

"Constant killer nerfs and survivor buffs lead to this mentality"

Again, in the history of this game Survivors got more Nerfs than Killers. Justified, clearly, but you cannot just ignore that. And well, if you still struggle that much with Killer in 2023, it might not be the Killer role which needs to be improved but your gameplay..

see how many killer perks have been nerfed and how many survivor perks

and how exactly they were nerfed

while nerfing survivors this coh will now heal you 100% faster

killer nerfs this cob will now regress 3.7% per MINUTE

No, it won’t, because a lot of people are too cowardly to try playing one side or the other before they form their opinions. A lot of these types of posts would go away if people actually tried playing both killer and survivor roles.

Survivors get a hud which allows good survivors to play at swf level - killers don't get anything

Killers get eroption nerf - Survivors don't get perk nerfs

killers get full kill of all regress perk genes - survivors get dead hard nerf by 33%( seriously very rarely 1 survivor used dead hard more than 2-3 times per game, and in any case this is an extremely broken perk that was op 6 years in a row)

and also survivors get a heal nerf that will soon remove but not remove boon buff so survivors can heal in 8 seconds

survivors will receive an anti-camp system and bots

at this time, the killers will not receive anything

Constant killer nerfs and survivor buffs lead to this mentality

Camping killers will just down you and rehook you. How do you not see that?

you have protected status, hit + 10s haste allows you to run over half the map + you have window pallets and body blocks of your comrades

And in any case, the ability to escape at any time does not make the killers stronger.

  • @Deathstroke said:

Facecamping change is kinda sad when playing bubba but other than that it sounds great. Now just tunneling needs to be nerfed. After that killers can be properly buffed.

I remember when people said 'we'll buff the solo survivors and then buff the killers'

solo survivors got hud and killers were left without a buff

now: "We will nerf the tunneling and then buff the killers"

I think this will be repeated until it reaches last year's figure of 4500 survivors / 45 killers in line

  • survivors got an anti-camp system and a replacement for a bot when leaving the game

    the killers got nothing

    briefly about balance

  • I can't even imagine how the "escape any second" button makes killers stronger

this is literally a killer nerf, what's next?

bhvr removes the abilities of all killers and you shout that this is a killer buff and need delete m1?

  • @Kirarozu said:

Great. I can now unhook myself. That's just gonna give the killer more incentive to face camp. Now they just wait out the endurance and down me and hook me again. Unless Endurance lasts longer nothing will change. If anything this is just going to make the hook states go by faster.

bro you have already been given an auto win button if the generators are completed, 10 seconds + speed from hit allows you to run the entire map, so if you are not in the basement + the gate is 120 meters away from you then you will easily escape

  • bruh no, the survivors will just fix all the generators, and then either the three of them will run away or the three will save you without any problems

And where i said those perks are bad because they are not giving you an automatic win? Stop assuming about me.

They are bad because they are useless. Even using both of them together is not effective like the old DS.

bruh bro, 2 of these perks win your team at least 25 seconds, and if you can loop, then much more, so stop calling good perks bad just because you're bad

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

So we just need to use 2 bad perks for counter tunnelling. That's very unhealthy design.

    those are two good perks

Just because a perk doesn't give you an automatic win doesn't mean it's bad.

  • @killeriseasy said:

Killers camping and tunneling is getting out of hand. Is it really fun for yall when you take away the challenge?

How can you break it if the killer gatekeeps it the whole game? Is it that hard to comprehend? I went against a Hag who used an offering and all she did was trap a corner of the map until two of my teammates DC'd, real fun gameplay. Some killers are clearly aware that you have a huge chance of getting a broken 3 gen on this specific map. The gens are so close that she barely had to move.

in the garden of joy, you can run from the killer for several minutes without using pallets, strangely, the survivors do not resent this and do not say "You need to turn off the map"

  • @1ettuce said:

In the dev update which announced the new survivor activity hud, bhvr made it clear they wanted to buff solo survivors without also buffing swfs. This is why they went with the survivor activity hud since the things it shows are things that have always been easily communicated over comms. I think this was very reasonable of them, and I think there's two things that could be added that would have similar effects.

    1. When a survivor is notified of a killer perk or addon, the rest of the survivors are notified of it as well. Be it either via the event feed in the top right or as one of the debuff icons. This could help rule out parts of a killers build and could prevent teammates from falling victim to something like dead mans switch or dragons grip for example

    2. Survivors can see each other's loadouts in the pregame lobby. Although swfs aren't typically gonna tell each other their entire loadout down to the bp offering, this would only be significant for perks like for the people, deliverance, we'll make it, etc. Basically stuff that is important to know when your teammates have it, and most swfs will already communicate perks like these.

I believe both of these would be reasonable for solos and have at most very minimal effects on swfs

ok, but now we will count all the survivors swf and therefore we will strengthen all the killers several times

if the survivors have hyperfocus they can make 3 generators in the first 45 seconds of the match

i.e. survivors can finish 60% of their work in the first minute

If the killer is in a shift w chase, with no pallets and no windows, then it will take the killer 30 seconds to knock down the survivor + - 10 seconds to hang on the hook and animation

    Thus

survivors can do 60% of their work in 45 seconds, and a killer in good conditions for him can only do 1/12 of his work

  • 4 survivors and 1 killer

the killer can only be in 1 place

1 survivor repairs the generator 4 times faster than the killer's regression

3 survivors repair 12 times faster

I see absolutely no reason why the survivors are crying.

if the killer gives up the chase and follows another, then just return to the generator, do this until you fix the generator

or just use potential energy and destroy anyone who wants to do 3 gene tactics

I've never really thought the Devs would do anything about tunneling, until recently.. Now I'm pretty sure they will at some point.

I don't mind a tunnel every now and then, but recently (especially since last update) about 8 in 10 matches are a hard tunnel and that's not healthy for the game nor what the Devs want, I imagine. If either side exploit something too much, history has shown that those in charge are not afraid to do something about it..

survivors: bhvr you should nerf all antigenrush perks

    bhvr:nerf all antigenrush preks

killers: without the ability to somehow physically slow down the game, begin to tunnel

survivors: why killers tunnel, probably need more nerf

My idea to prevent camping especially with strong camping powers would be this:

    1) A killer can't use their power in a 16m radius around the hook, which is the distance the game grants you minus-points for "proximity to the hook". We already have this for certain killers: Artist, Twins, Skullmerchant, Knight or Dredge. Bubba, Billy, Oni, Huntress, Myers, Slinger, Nurse, Blight, Doctor, Wraith, GF, Pig(?), Hag(?), Trapper(?) and PyH should not be able to use their power around a hook. These are killers with insta-downs or killers with a very strong base-kit, range attack or the ability to tunnel easily. Those marked with (?) can be good at camping certain spots or because they have inbuilt Insidious. Problematic killers to fix around hooks: Plague (red vomit) and Wesker (vs. fully infected survivor). Since plague collects her range attack somwhere on the map, you cannot simply say that she looses it around the hook, but maybe she should just not be able to puke at all around a hook. Wesker can insta-down a completely infected survivor who is going for the hook. Sure the survivor could spray themselves but this reveals your location which can be tricky in certain scenarios. here I think it would suffice to make a bound dash attack against a fully infected (and healthy) survivor a normal grab and throw. This could be abused against both killers though which is not ideal. This should also only span one floor too to make 2 floor maps not abusable. basement should count as one floor though.

    2) Remove healthy grabs. I am fine if an injured person can be grabbed, but if a healthy person unhooks this should be a trade.

    3) If the killer stays in 16m around a hook or returns to that area after 5s, gen speed is increased for all other survivors by (insert reasonable number here)% as long as no other survivor is present in said area.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3425085#Comment_3425085

Never. Because they can, because they want it easy (like the killers who just camp & tunnel).

ok, but anti tunel system work for survivors too now survivors must repair 8 generators by 99%, and also break all totems and open all chests

if the killer is punished for efficiency, then the survivors should be punished too

So, with an overall kill rate over 60% you still have a problem with 4 survivors escaping once in a while, do i get that right?

Because the kill rates are facts we know about. How high should the average kill rate be, in your opinion? And what outcome of an even match would you propose?

The number of kills is not equal to the number of victories

you do not take into account the fact that there are many stupid losses, for example when some survivor afk or kills himself on 1 hook

and even so, there are some maps where the overall level of KR is 40%

Hi guys! Would you like to know how my experience went? Well, you came to the right post because do i got an experience to share.

We all understand skull merchant has great potential to 3 gen. We got to this point at ormond. It got to the point where the player as just going back and forth and even ignoring us as we heal each other in plain sight.

It got to the point where i finally managed to experience my first match that force closed. And what do we all get for experiencing an hour match where the killer stalled and decided not to chase us. We all get a sacrifice icon in the end result. Basically meaning, we lost. Good decision from this game where both psrties failed to meet their objectives and give it to the killer side.

Whoever said this game isnt killer sided...can we have a talk. Cause in this case, the devs, i mean, the entity favors the killers who can stall the match for 1 hour and reward them by not killing survivors. Wonderous job. Spectacular.

How did your experience go wth skull merchants? Please remain civil and i would love to hear your experiences. Your story. Your trials of tribulations.

bruh, i keep watching how survivors have progression 16 times faster and still cry about m1 killer

Deactive her drone and she will put another.

When she catch you on gen she will just m1 you and then she will leave for checking other gens.

Ignore drones and she will get you down with one-hit.

Do not ignore drones and she will just put another.

After 30 minutes, one of us just give up and died. And at this point we just lost. But even at 3 v 1 , she still did not leave her 3 gens.

After 3 games against her in row, i really wanna remove this game for forever. I don't know is there any chance to rework her.

    Have you tried repairing generators?

  • No way, are you saying that the killer who is meant to control the zone controls the zone? no way

don't forget to call the police if you see legion using hit and run or ghostface using stealth

  • there is 1 good tactic how to completely destroy tunneling

just be good at the game

Seriously, each pallet gives you at least 15 seconds, so if you can loop, your team will win faster than the pallets run out

ok let's say you're really bad and you down after 40 seconds , if your teammates have hyperfocus it means so they have already repaired 3 gen, this way your tm can skip 1 of your stage, fix the generators open the gate and the bb killer save you

tunneling is not effective if the survivors do not allow it to be effective

if the killer hangs you and just camps, then it means you won (+ you can increase the time on the hook by +120 seconds thanks to the perks)

camp killer allows you to repair 3 generators for free, + taking into account the fact that 2 generators are repaired in the first 40-50 seconds camp killer = ez win

so i see absolutely no reason to complain about camping/tunneling

what is really the problem is the toolboxes and perks on the genrush that allow you to repair the generator in solo in 40 seconds

  • survivors with DS before: use DS run to the tbug camera and only then start to run away

DS survivors are now: I don't have enough time to be toxic please increase the time

3 seconds is more than enough time to reach a window or palette can you stop crying at survivor perks just because they don't hand you the auto win ?

Never said she's strong, she's boring to point of death. she doesn't play dbd she plays camp 3 gen from 0:001 seconds until your team dies or gives up, that's not dbd that's being annoying and wasting time for people.

have you tried repairing generators? I remind you that the survivors progress 16 times faster than the killer, just repair all 3 generators and heal

else she will gradually lose or she will be forced to drop the generators to make a down

  • 4 survivors progression 16 times faster than the killer, just repair different generators, or take potential energy and destroy 3 genes

  • @xander1234556789 said:

Just finished a match in which we had one gen left to do and she had her traps literally and inch from the gens and she had the iri add on to teleport from wherever on the map. This match lasted of a back and forth for like and hour. My thing is when are you gonna put a radius around the gens to where the hag can and can't put her traps. This is downright ridiculous imo because that's bs that we have to either dc or just give up because there's zero counter play. Do better BHVR!!!

it's 4.4 killer, survivor progression is 16 times faster, if 3 people from your team can't press m1 to win then it's not a balance problem, it's a problem of your skills and team skills

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

Your problem is not generators, chases. If you finish chases faster, then you will have more pressure on survivors.

Because one survivor is on hook. One have to go for save. One in chase. And atm only one is doing gen. If you keep give objectives to survivors like this example, gens should not be problem.

But you can't end chases faster because BHVR have no idea about balancing maps.

It's just lie, trutalent had an experiment where he didn't camp or tunnel + didn't use slow gen perks.

the survivors were constantly wrong (they made 20+ serious mistakes) during this time tru was wrong 4 times in 50/50 situations

and in such scenarios he lost

if a killer with 10000h who played against often mistaken survivors (his chase time was no more than 20 seconds) could not win what you want from ordinary killers?

but 3 gene strategy was completely destroyed, while the healing with the totem 8 seconds

  • @Gandor said:

We went over this idea multiple times already. Pallets are by far not created equal. This is not a good perk even if you consider huge CD time (I think it would not be balanced even if it was token based). Don't like the idea. Let killer earn his pallets instead of just winning by default.

Also some map can have like 7 pallets. That's not much by any standard

as soon as the killers lost the generator regression perks, the survivors began to complain about the chase perks (sbfl) so don't worry even if the perk works 1 time per game, the survivors will cry that there are too few pallets on the gideon and this perk will be destroyed

  • @Annso_x said:

Honestly if everyone played fun or casual builds i'd be like "good idea! leaves room for more creative builds!" but we live in a world where we would just go against 5 stacked gen slowdown perks and well coordinated survivors would pretty much be unstoppable

even now 5 killer perks wouldn't be that hard (every ######### update, the developers completely kill at least 1 killer perk)

  • @DjEnderFox107 said:

This is just a random thought I had and wanted to know how the community might feel about this topic negative or positive!

Giving survivors a third health while yes it would make it more difficult and take longer for killers to down survivors, you add adjustment such as giving less pallets or increasing the time it takes to repair a generator to make it more balanced.

The way a third health state would be implemented would be making a healthy state, a deep wound state, and then an injured state.

Healing in the injured state would put you back into the healthy state so you don’t have to heal twice, but with a third health state healing might be need to be nerfed, this depends.

The deep wound state would be the same as it is now but killers could have new add ons, or even powers to counter deep wound.

For Example with Legion you can add his older self being able to bring the state down but only then to put them in the injury state where his power won’t be in affect in downing a survivor.

Trapper wouldn’t be able to down survivors completely but put them in the injured state so they have another chance to run away

I won’t go over all the killers but just some of the ideas.

    All comments are appreciated!

this will be just another buff for bully swf, after the update with 1 totem, the healing time is 8 seconds shift w chasing without pallets and windows takes 30 seconds for the m1 of the killer, and now imagine that the survivors have 8 seconds of healing and at the same time they have 3 stages of health , 3 survivors can simply run around the map and take hits one after the other while the remaining one repairs the generator

and this is weak example, let's remember that we have absolutely surviving maps where even without pallets you can run for a long time

    so no

3 Health condition should mean a significant buff for the killer

  • @YourAverageSpy said:

Thanatophobia right now is pretty much unusable to all killers except for Legion and Plague but even on them it requires other perks/add-ons that it needs to rely on like Legion Pin, Defaced Smiley Pin, and Sloppy Butcher, just to get the most out of it but even with those it can be countered with just 1 person in the healthy state causing the 20% action De-buff to become a 6% De-buff so the only way to use it efficiently is to constantly damage them or give them the broken De-buff.

    Thanatophobia Change Idea:

-When a survivor is injured they give all other survivors a 2.5% Action Speed De-buff

-Every injured survivor will receive 5% De-buff instead of a 2.5% Action Speed De-buff

    Example:

    -1 injured survivor receives a 5% De-buff while the 3 healthy survivors get a 2.5% De-buff

    -2 injured survivors will both receive a 10% De-buff while the 2 healthy survivors get a 5% De-buff

    -3 injured survivors will all get a 15% De-buff while the healthy survivor gets a 7.5% De-buff

-If all 4 survivors are injured they all get a 20% Action Speed De-buff

This change is to reward the survivors who decide to heal and reward their teammates for doing it, while also punishing the ones who decide not to heal and just slow down other survivors who are both injured and healthy. This is to encourage survivors to heal and not just rush gens. Although this is technically a Nerf to the 4.3.0 Thanatophobia this would be a nice change to both Survivor and Killer.

thanataphobia should be stronger as it is a perk that encourages active play

  • as blueberries said, you should not evaluate anything by KR

if we take an ideal world where KR works perfectly and shows the true state of the game, then I would like KR to be 60% (since the constant esc of two survivors at 50% would be boring, otherwise there is an element of surprise and a real place for the manifestation of skill)

well, or if we take the real world where KR shows only relative statistics, then 70%

What? CoH is pretty much gone and DH has been nerfed a lot. You keep saying 8 DHs for the whole team but not EVERY single survivor will bring it EVERY single game. It's like this is newly developed major phobia. If a survivor misses a DH, the perk deactivates until they get unhooked again, I literally don't see the problem.

for swf coh only became stronger, and yes, in my games there were always 4 dh, which is why I stopped playing and thought to return with this update, but as I see it, dh practically did not become weaker, and the treatment with coh is now 8 seconds and at the same time killers lost perks against genrush and 3 gene tactics

I don't understand what others aren't understanding when I'm obviously not talking about the DH right now... I'm talking about the DH that will get nerfed... DH is overused af right now that's why it's getting balanced.

DH won't be as popular when the patch comes. It's nerfed, but all killers want is for it to be completely removed, but it won't happen, so they'll have to adjust.

Why are we completely wiping out killer perks but we cant significantly nerfing survivor perks?

Dead hard had a 50-80% useage rate from mid to high MMR pre 6.1.0 from BHVRS own numbers. According to nightlite it's sitting at an ~30% useage rate rn with the truth being it's probably significantly higher since nitelite is an optional upload tracker and not actually tracking via an API/all the games. Let's not pretend it's rare to see dead hard.

his 30% was 6 months ago, after which the developers no longer published statistics, but even so it was clear that his coefficient was growing

  • increasing the heal reduced tunneling since you knew that the survivor did not heal instantly, and now the survivors need 8 seconds to heal + you need to tunnel because if you do not tunnel the survivor will have dh

Well right now it is... obviously... when this patch comes, survivors literally you get 2 chances to use DH, if you miss it, it deactivates. Once again, you'll live, or MYM is waiting for you.

2 for 1 survivor and 8 for the whole team

CoH literally no longer allows you to heal yourself. I know killers were hoping for all survivor healing to be completely nerfed into oblivion but the devs actually realized how wrong that would be. Pain Res got buffed, you just can't spam it anymore.

Also, what is the likelihood that every single survivor brings DH every single game... literally none. I don't use it, I've never used it. You'll live.

Bro DH is literally the most popular perk in the game what are you talking about

1 … 7 8 9 10 11 … 15
