There have been plenty of time where a survivor DCed early on in the game and we still won. One less noob to unhook/heal. Narrowing it down to 1v3 sometimes makes it easier to win as survivor.

No, I don't expect anyone to come to the forums to read my posts. It's not the players fault for their implementation, either; I'm saying that people who tunnel with an ebony on first hook are the people that everyone else hates to face because they just want to end one player's experience as soon as is possible. You can use whatever you want, and play however you want; you bought the game. However it's a multiplayer game, so it's usually a semi-nice thing to think about the other player who also paid for the game, and also wants to have fun.
If you want to play like that, all power to you. Just like if you want to play IriBelt Huntress, or Ormond with a key, go for it. These things are in the game and you can use them however you want to. However, don't expect the other people you're playing with to enjoy it (hence my statement of, "You're the reason people hate facing moris").
There is no malice in my intent nor am I trying to 'end one player's experience as soon as is possible', I'm trying to win the game. There is no obligation to be semi-nice and I don't expect the other people I'm playing with to enjoy it when I do use ebony. They simply have to join another match and get back into the game. This is a PvP game after all. Try phasmophobia or another co-op if you're taking other peoples feelings into consideration.

Some people are saying only use on death hook, what's the point of bringing it then? I always use it after the first hook. Leave the hook immediately, baiting others into unhooking. Then tunnel the person that was on it and ebony them.

Are you the one who complained that I was being toxic for body blocking the exit gate switch as the Pig yesterday? :P
No, that's great though XD
-
I tend to rage and break my keyboard/punch a hole in the dry wall. Next game if I'm killer I will run ebony mori and if survivor, I will run a key, flashlight or map, with DS, UB, BT and an exhaust perk.
-
"Grants the ability to kill all Survivors who have been hooked by your hand during the next Trial."
Because it's an offering, it's in the rules.
-
Sometimes it's fun to tunnel or I like to go ahead and get the weakest link out of the way.
-
Why are you biased towards survivors?
-
"Basically, I just saw it as a waste of time on both sides"
Entitled, also sick of these humble brag stories. While the other survivor is bleeding out the killer has a chance to find you. You also have a chance to recover the other survivor and be a team player. Instead of hiding, waiting on them to bleed out and escape through hatch. You aren't entitled to hatch and the killer doesn't have to give it to you.
-
The way ranking works now, killers are just better than survivors. Killers only have themselves to rely on to move up in the ranks. Meanwhile, baby survivors can get carried and believe they belong in red ranks, when really, they probably belong in green.
-
TL;DR for this post and every post like it:
- OP seeking attention
- humble brag woven into the story
- X amount of kills X DCs
- already established opinion/ can't change my mind
- arbitrarily created rules created by OP during the match
- "is this toxic? uWu"
-
######### off until the event is over, then come back and complain about something else.

Generally speaking you´re right in terms of strength, but if you wanna go this far with realism in DBD, Aven and PigmainClaudette already have pointed out some serious gameplay flaws that would come along with it. It wouldn´t make for a fun game man. Playing a Killer that dies from drug abuse midmatch, everyone going down in 1 hit, no one being able to repair gens, most of them not being able to run longer than a minute or two...and don´t even get me started with all the supernatural Killers.
The entity doesn't really favor survivors though, do they? It makes sense that they power up the killers so they don't have a heart attack or overdose midgame.

This might be slightly off topic from OP's post, but I think it might be somewhat similar.
I used to play this other game that was basically the EXACT same to DBD with doing 5 tasks, opening gates, survivors, killers, basement, whatever. All characters in that game all had a special ability/item, and you could tell what a player was going to play like (e.g. what item they were going to have) just by knowing what character they were playing. I find it kind of annoying to be playing killer and have 0 idea what the survivor team has.
Maybe if every character had slight differences; maybe if Jane was slightly better at healing, Meg was slightly faster, whatever. Tiny differences that make playing a different character feel different and actually be a different game.
Should we just straight up nerf females (lol)? No. But maybe some tiny changes to characters could be nice.
Thank you for contributing in a positive manner. Yes that's kind of what I'm getting at. I agree that survivors should be more than just skins, and that killers should kind of know what they are getting into. As a survivor, you know: oh it's this killer, I need to watch out for ___ (fill in the blank) Killers don't have that intel.

Yet, why do you want that? I think they made a good design choice by enabling every build on every survivor to basically the same effectiveness. At this rate, people can play whoever they like the most and aren´t hindered in one way or another. And how would you balance male survivors, or would they just be able to do what the girls do, but better?
Exactly, their wouldn't be balance, that's the point. In general, males are physically superior to females.

I second this. Especially regarding Huntress. You trolling, OP? Huntress is easily stronger and more able than 99.99% of men.
Okay I just read up on her lore and only have faced her in a match once or twice. Didn't realize she killer nazis. But the survivor side argument still stands
-
Side note, I would LOVE to see a killer moonwalking in a movie hahah. In the lore, survivors have been in this realm for a long period of time, so I imagine the first few matches there were failed skill checks all over the place. Over time tho, that knowledge of repairing generators has become subconsciously ingrained in them.
-
I imagine it's a monkey see, monkey do type of thing. I'll admit even in the most marginal triumph I have committed the sin of teabagging. Never used flashlights tho. For me, it's nothing personal against the killer, just a: ######### yeah! I did that! on my part.
-
De-rank if you can't compete with the survivors at your current rank, or get better.
-
No, that sounds like a good strategy, thanks for sharing!
-
Nice bait.

I'm Offended! -
While being chased by the killer, what would be the first successful attack putting you into the injured state is negated. This causes you to turn around and shake your finger at the killer stopping them in their tracks for 2/3/4 seconds.
"This twitter post of yours from 2005 is very problematic...You're cancelled!" - SJW
-
Don't announce you're leaving, just leave.
-
Looping. Yes you are obviously a pro at hugging walls, mind gaming and being just out of reach for a lunge, but it takes away from the game. Especially when the survivor teabags and flashlights for attention. Look at me, chase me, let the other survivors do generators. It just shows that that survivor just wants to be the ball hog and not work with the team. When the other survivors pop off all 5 generators in under 5 minutes because you distracted the killer and everyone gets away without a hook, it's not fun for anyone.
-
This game is an escape. Leave the bullshit virtue signaling, SJW, PC policing at the door. If you're too fragile that a username upsets you, you probably shouldn't be playing the game.
-
This first time I played Mike Myers was against a blendette SWF. I had no idea what I was doing, they would pallet stun -> flashlight -> teabag combo. Naturally, they got all 5 gens, opened the exit gate and chain flashlight blinded me when I was close to getting one of them at the exit gate. Adding salt to the wound, they tbagged me at the exit.
-
Love this thread. More visual effects like the Doctor's when he gets you to madness level 3. As a survivor trying to escape a killer, I imagine your psyche would be damaged and that could impair/blur your vision.
-
I haven't seen Spirit's kill animation before, thanks for sharing!
-
There should be a sticky keys equivalent where if you crouch too many times in a row, the entity spikes your ass.
-
When I see other survivors working on a gen, I love to find the nearest window and do sprint vaults back and forth repeatedly to get the killers attention.
-
All I hear are personal problems. Auras are fixed now. Frames terrible? Get a better PC. 1k hours not pairing with < 10 hours? That's terrible logic. I played with multiple people tonight with smurf in their name, smurfing is a thing. Unplayable and not fun? Get better at the game. The amount of coddled children in this fan base is outstanding.
-
Maybe introduce a mechanic where the killer has to cut the power lines going from the generators to the exit gates. Have a gauge and skill checks on that too. Once the power lines are cut there could be a spark animation and noises to help the survivors find where they need to repair the line. Sabotaging the line shouldn't have an effect on the repair status of the generator.
