I've been only playing DBD with friends and doing only custom games. It just feels great getting away from the toxicity of matchmaking.
-
Starting to look like Myers has a hidden ability to make some people's brain shut off lol
-
Would have been great if a survivor brought a key and found that floating hatch lol.

I watch all these YouTubers and streamers play the game. I see how they loop and juke the killer, taking them on long chases. I try to learn from the and copy what they do but it never seems to work. I keep getting down a minute into chases no matter what I do unless I drop every pallet early. Killers just always seem to catch up to me like it's nothing but when I watch others loop the killer, it's like they never bloodlust and make every possible mistake, swinging at every window and pallet. Am I doing something wrong? I want to get better at looping. There are times I do have my moments but those are so far in between they might as well not exist.
Some of these content creators like Otz, Dowsy, Truetalent are really freaking good at the game so a lot of their gameplay will look like they are just rekting children. Just keep it up, continue to watch, practice what you watch and you will get better. You can do it!

I got called a tunneller one time even though everyone but 1 survivor was at 2 hooks already. It seems playing survivor just brings the worst out of people.
-
More blood points for being chased I wouldn't mind that.
I believe a better BP change is when a survivor gets faced camped by the killer. I think if you're hooked and the killer is within proximity of you, then you should earn some passive blood points. It's just lame being faced camped all game and you get shafted in BP.
-
I think you're kind of proving the point that some survivors are toxic.
Also for the people who say this is just a game get over it. Exactly. It's just a game, no reason to BM people too.

So I decided to play some wraith. There’s this toxic laurie that teabags at every pallet drop and clicks her flashlight so I down, and kill her. So they finish gens and I hook this Cheryl and try to down this Yui that is injured. Ofc she has dead hard and insta med. So she saved Cheryl and ofc the teammates body block. So there they are teabagging and clicking their flashlights at the exit gate. So I just hit them out. Idc that I didn’t get 4k, at least I got 1 and even if I didn’t get 1, I tried my best. And fyi it was a swf, 3 of them are rank 1 and the other is a rank 2. I’m rank 16 :/
It's not some survivors, most of them are toxic and the higher rank you go the more toxicity you will see. It's rough being a killer out there.
-
A big help for Trickster is his ammo, he spends a lot of time reloading or having to go out of his way to a locker. Instead of just increasing his ammo cap, I would suggest whenever he does Main Event he replenishes ammo. Makes Main Event more interesting and rewards landing knives.
-
It's just part of the stressful life of being a killer.
-
I think might be worth to try having a longer gen time but as you complete more gens the faster they go. This would be good for the killers that rely on having a little setup like demo, hag, and trapper. While I think survivors would like to have an advantage against a 3 gen.
I would like something like this cause I think seeing 3 gens pop in the first 2 min is just a horrible feeling as a killer. Even if I'm setting up a 3 gen. It just doesn't feel good.
-
If I start getting tilted I will go to my garage to workout for like 10min. Somedays I will work out a lot lol.
-
Its funny how some of the least played Killers like plague can be "strong" because survivors never get much experience facing them. I think survivors need to do there own research and not have the game tell them how to play.
-
Awesome can't wait to try out Demo when live version comes out
-
Nope because survivors are generally toxic and players would rather be the toxic ones than the victims.
-
No no, you can't tell he is weak because you need a month and half to collect data. Jk jk.
-
There were 69 comments made on this thread but I don't allow anyone to have nice things.
-
I'm all for some rewards for ranks
-
It's rough right now, I don't blame you.
-
uuuuugh threads like these are probably gonna be the reason why we will have to wait a long time for a buff for the Trickster.
-
Twins, I know Charlotte is thicc and all but would be scary as hell seeing Victor pop out of her
-
As a survivor, it's no fun and as a killer, it's no fun.

I personally think survivor game play is the trashiest and most boring that it ever has been since the start of the game. We have no good perks for the game that change the way we play. The only thing that changes the pace of the game is the killer that we face. If you look at the current perks, they are just a bunch of trash tier aura perks that only last a few seconds and truly do nothing to boost survival. Dead hard is the only true perk that has some fun left in to use, and it doesn't even work 80 percent of the time due to hit boxes and lag.
This last perk is one of the final perks that is constantly being cried about over and over again by the killer-mains which only goal in the game is to 4k for their power fantasy - so they can feel like they actually accomplished something. It's unfortunate that the devs have just completely destroyed survival gameplay over the last 2 years. Playing killer is no longer skill based, you'd have to be brain dead to not reliably 3k every single game. Not based on any type of skill, but just because most of the means of survival for survivors has been gutted and made trash. Also, the amount of aura reading perks that give your exact location to killer, have even been over buffed and are too plentiful. Tracking is no longer a thing in this game. You just hook someone and then look for Auras with BBQ and chili. I know, I know "I only use BBQ and Chili for the double points". Great! Then you should have no problem getting rid of the wall hacks.
The most egregious of everything that has happened to survivor gameplay over the last few years has been the edition of tank like movements. If you give me tank movement, you better give me a freaking gun. The devs nerfed the flow of movement tremendously a few patches ago and then just made it a little bit less terrible, but movement is still absolutely terrible in game.
I just wonder how much more the devs are willing to trash their game for 4k power fantasies. As of now, survivor gameplay is in the trash and any type of change of gameplay is completely reliant on the killer you are playing against.
"I just wonder how much more the devs are willing to trash their game for 4k power fantasies."
Bro have you seen the Trickster? Cause 4k was definitely not on their minds or at least I hope to gawd not.

I thought I heard one of his emblems are bugged.

True! Hehe

I mean in theory he is probably meant to be a rather easier killer, with his knife spam. It's just that he sucks real hard.
OH i see i read it wrong,
its easy to lose the game, lol
-
I"m not too sure how I feel, I think I want them to be slower but man that would make some of the meta killers really strong but it is such a horrible feeling like 1 min in the game and 2 or 3 gens pop.
Maybe a compromise could be like a progression of speed, the early gens take longer but as you get more completed the faster the later ones are.
idk that is just a spitball idea.

A conversation is started in a constructive, polite way. That isn't what has been going on, and the approach most have applied is just going to turn the DEV off from listening to us completely. There are real people on the other side of those screens, people just like you and I. They work hard and do take pride in what they do. Some things work and some things don't, but nobody likes being attacked and pelted with feces 24/7. It is my opinion, that we should be treating others on the internet with the same good manners we do in the real world. I cannot imagine that most of the posters here treat friends, family, co-workers, or even the businesses they interact with the way they do here.
As I have stated before, the DEV are far more vested in their game doing well than you and I. To us, it is just a game (one of thousands). To them, it is their job. It pays the bills. I trust they are going to do what they can with what they have. Their view of things, however, and ours is different. I accept that; you should too for the sake of your own blood pressure. In the end, if you don't like the Trickster, don't buy him. Your problem is solved. Wait for a Killer release that you do like. Do you see where I'm going with this? You (and many others) act as if you are required to buy this Killer you don't like. It makes me laugh.
So no, I'm not going to "chill" when you make fools of yourselves. Give your feedback any way you want, but if you state silly things or do it in an obnoxious way, I'm going to chime in too. A Forum is an exchange of ideas, and sometimes people are going to disagree and take YOU to task over the things you say. That is how this process works. If you don't want to hear from me, don't give me all these poorly thought out analogies and hyperbole to make fun of with my own long, obnoxious posts. Give your feedback in a polite, constructive way and yo won't hear a peep out of me. Best of all, they might pay attention to you rather than just ignoring you.
Chill and I'll leave it at that.
Also, did BHVR say April Fools yet for this chapter?

Thank you BHVR!

You analogy is incorrect because you didn't buy a "medium-rare" steak. The Trickster (and Survivor) were released with no surprises. Everyone was told exactly how things worked PRIOR to purchase. They stated exactly what had changed (and what had not) from the play test. Thus, if you chose to buy him with all the information provided, you made the choice after seeing the menu and knowing they only do steaks well-done at this restaurant. It doesn't matter if a lot of customers are requesting medium-rare steaks, when the menu clearly tells you what they are serving. If you are unhappy, find another restaurant. So that is strike two; do you care to try again?
Video games are luxury items. They are not important, nor are they necessary for anyone's health or well-being. We CHOOSE to buy something or we pass on it. That is the long and the short of it; vote with your wallet. I do take issue with the hyperbole and/or people comparing video game companies with first responders. Do I really need to get into why that is an insulting, bad analogy? If the DEV had done a bait and switch, i.e. told us it was going to work one way, and then released it doing something else, that would be worthy of all the hot air and passion. That didn't happen. A bunch of people gave their opinion, but the company went another way. They told us how things were, and left it to us to decide if we want to buy it or not. That seems pretty straightforward and ethical.
So, if all you outraged folks want to continue to treat the release of the Trickster with the kind of passion that SHOULD be reserved for real world issues of injustice, discrimination, and crime feel free to do so. I'm going to poke fun at it though.
Again just chill, we all want Trickster to get a buff and not accept a dev saying "We need to wait a month and a half for data" for them to even start the conversation that this killer needs to be looked at.

There aren’t enough killers thats whats causing the queues because for some unknown reason a lot of people just don’t want to play killer.
Unknown reason?! Because Killers don't get love or passion in these new chapters.
-
Games rise and fall so yeah its probably gonna happen someday
-
If they were to keep "Main Event" only able to be used during a small window of time, then that ability should replenish ammo. I find trickster needs to reload way too often.
-
Its funny, I never thought about that but yeah F that mechanic needs to go away. Like the idea of having to do skill checks.

Imagine someone who compares luxury items like video games to life threatening situations like fires that destroy homes and end lives.
Imagine to chill but here is a rated G version just for ya, imagine you bought a steak and asked for it to be medium-rare but they prepared it well done. You ask them to bring you a new one but told you "We need to wait for a consensus from all of the other customers that it was prepared well done before you get you a new one." But you also learn that this restaurant received feedback weeks before it served you that steak that it was preparing them well done when people wanted their steaks medium-rare.
-
Imagine a firefighter saying we need to wait for the data to put the fire out in your house.
-
Two things I've learned that has drastically helped my Trickster
- The perk Monitor & Abuse, the trickster has this like sweet spot of downing a survivor really fast with his knives so if you can sneak up on a survivor working on a gen that isn't in or near a jungle gym or something that can easily break line of sight they are going down.
- Plan out your hooks, try to hook survivors near wide open areas or with low terrain loops. Just again try avoiding areas that can mess with line of sight.
-
Like this thread must be an April Fools joke....right?....right!?

Yeah, but then comes nerfing part :( It always feels bad even if it fixed really op things.
Although considering their pace of releasing updates, that might`ve been for the better.
Just imagine that we're stuck with current trickster for likely 4,5 more months (till next-next midchapter, since that's when devs are supposed to take a look at trickster).
yeah, I'm in like rage mode still about this killer so some of my posts won't have me thinking clearly right now lol.
-
It boggles my mind why they released him in this state....like an OP killer is gonna sell better so what the hell were these devs thinking.
-
@Fantasy said:
I think it would be nice if it got 2 uses, to punish the actual tunneling players more now. One DS isn't enough if the killer really has it out for someone.
That wouldn't be a bad change at all but might need a restriction when gates are open. That would be my only concern.
-
@danielmaster87 said:
It should rather be on-command like Blood Fury or Static Blast, because right now if you don't need to use it and it's active, you waste it.
For sure.

@GodDamn_Angela said:
It would be a good change but it would still be awful because it puts said knives on a cooldown. After being Stunned. After a lengthy start-up. After taking ages to build it.
Agreed, just didn't want to make a wall of text about "Make all these changes to fix trickster" since we already got a few of them right now.
-
Amen, all of this was said in the PTS too....like what was the point of the PTS if they don't even listen and even mention the problems with this killer.
-
Random D/C is a known issue, its nothing on the players end.

@cenoflame said:
I would prefer that camping killers lose more bp the longer they stay close to a hooked survivor. They might camp farther away, but it could still give them a chance to be unhooked.
Maybe just do both to super punish them :) hehe.
-
But there are still plenty of killers who camp for no reason. Just give those survivors something for the awful game experience.
