Freddy - Check (Was for a long time because....Survivors)

    Legion - Check

    Nurse - Check

    Spirit - Check

Im calling it, either Hillbilly or Ghostface is next. Ahh, good lord..

I don't know why everyone's talking about ghostface getting nerfed, he needed a buff and got one. It's extremely irritating because at times he's buggy, for both sides. No need for a nerf just a patch to the bugs

  • @Sabor44 said:

Afternoon denizens of the fog. So with the recent Spirit nerf I was thinking about what high rank killers I might start facing. Unfortunately even with nerfing spirit we are still going to see an issue of the same killers at high rank. This ultimately is broken down to two reason. One, how well a killer can end a chase. Two, how strong of map pressure they possess.

Unfortunately ending chases sooner is not fun for survivors. However what I am proposing is giving killers (especially m1 killers) a greater map pressure. A perk that is fair and reasonable to both sides. What I am proposing is a perk that after a killer hooks a survivor they gain a modest 10% speed increase for 30 seconds.

Ordinarily this would be pretty overpowered especially in a chase. However I want this perk to only be effective on getting to an area of the map not chasing down survivors. So I propose that as soon as the killer enters a chase with a survivor the effect is ended. In addition I don't want killers like Billy and spirit to get even stronger so I would also propose that the perk also end whenever a killers activates an ability.

This would greatly help killers like pig, trapper, huntress, clown, plague, ghostface, bubba, and doctor to applying more map pressure without outright giving killers a faster way to beat down survivors. Curious what you guys think. Have a great rest of your day. ^^

Killers who are already extremely fast will be able to hit a survivor before chase starts, and although it is 10%, if you think about it that is still very fast.

First of all, i dont have any exclusive cosmetics but i dont want them so easily neither.

The idea is to give them for free but through the devotion system.

    Example

    Devotion 1: pro pain hammer

    Devotion 2: hound Mask

    etc...

    Devotion 5: dweard

    Devotion 10: street Meg

    Etc

In this way only dedicated players will get them instead of everyone.

Yeah they definitely need to do something with getting devotion cause apart from getting to level 99 just to level all the way back down to one it isn't that rewarding.

Maybe I should have described it more

I am like a steamroller to people that know what they are doing as GhostFace most of the time

What ranks, cause like I said usually people know what to do when they know the killer

  • @Hoodied said:

With people not stalking as GhostFace anymore sometimes, I decided to teach you all how to stalk like a true ghostface main.

I have 4 different ways I stalk that can get the marking off really well

    First stalk: Normal/peek

Everyone does this one, but I put a little spice into mine.

Try to peek as much as possible to stalk people, but try to stalk from higher ground if possible. This one is easier to preform than the other 4 and easier to get out of view with, but more situational than useful.

    Second Stalk:Pop the mark

Like Michael's pop tier three, wait till the person you are chasing is 99% on the meter, then tap it for the marking and down them quickly, this is risky however as they could reveal you at 99% and now you have a survivor at 99% and you not having shroud available.

    Third stalk: Combat stalk

Very simple, stalk in the chase via peeking to mark them in the chase.

    Fourth Stalk: Spooky stalk

This one is high risk, high reward. Get close to a generator that is being worked on and stalk someone that is working on it via peeking. This is a high risk stalk however, as you will be more noticeable, but high reward with the fact that you are close to the survivor.

I do have meme ones that I can add if you want me to I.E MichaelFace stalk and more

These are all pretty basic stalks, with a team who knows what they're doing stalking is mostly a waste of time

I joined the forum over a year ago to talk about new content, changes and bugs etc. It was nice to come back every now and then and read a few discussions and possibly participate in them as well. The 'us vs them' mentality did exist even back then but most people talked about things calmly and it felt like there was at least some understanding between the players.

Well jump back to this day and what do we have? People complaining about literally every change, bug and decision. People being attacked for having certain opinions. People saying the devs don't care about the players and all that kind of stuff.

I'm tired. I really am. I used to enjoy reading the forums but nowadays, it's just a huge ball of negativity.

I'm just asking everyone to think about things from different perspectives before posting negatively about something.

So far all I've seen on the forum for the past week is people whining about nerfs or challenges, even the cosmetics.

Instead of being excited for a new chapter or for the game being healed from the state it was in, it's really saddening seeing how people can complain about anything. Usually the thing that ruins forums like these.

  • @LiunUK said:

are people suiciding on hooks more often now?

i mean i can understand it if the killer has instant-transmission levels of lag (console player btw) but if the killer just out played you doesn't mean you should just give up the difference between 4 survivors and 3 is quite large and more often than not one of the survivors is running borrowed time.

Rank reset, for some reason even people who were rank 4 before the reset always act like vegetables

  • @avilmask said:

Yep, I think that he can stealth at full speed is a mistake, his movement speed should be the same as Myers in t1, and crouching speed the same as Pig. Also crouching transition should be longer. And his CD add-ons are overused, people don't even stalk anymore because of them. Those add-ons should restore some fixed amout of ability when ghostface stalks people, not just "because"!

Oh no he isn't like the other two stealth killers and is unique because of it? NeRf hiM!!!

  • I'm happy for this cause people in general have been asking for free cosmetics and console players have been neglected in terms of exclusives. So in my opinion they killed two birds with one stone with this

  • No, if you are saying body blocking for teammates, it is very helpful to save people and it gives protection points.

M/kb users already go against controller users on this game, as well as others. How would it be any different?

Because console players do not go against m/kb players and the m/kb players have a faster turn speed when console players are capped at a certain speed

Just a thought... Couldnt you also just as easily argue that someone gaming on a PS4 PRO has an unfair advantage against someone of a normal PS4, due to having a more powerful machine running the game? In what way is this different than PC to console, in which... youd be facing against ppl with a more powerful machine playing the game? Or even 2 ppl on PC, one with a budget computer and one with a 6000 dollar one?

No. Im talking about the external hardware like a mouse.

  • @LordGlint said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/834439#Comment_834439

Except your not going to have one Nurse competing against another, even if there is advantages. I dont understand the mindset of being against cross-platform because of that. A console Nurse isnt going to somehow do worse because PC Nurses exist. A player using killers on console shouldnt be experiencing any difference in play than what they're already experiencing.

You aren't understanding my point aha, with a mouse a nurse has more control of where she is teleporting, where she can't do that on controllers. So it would be easy for pc killers to kill console survivors because we don't go against as many great nurses or killers because it is harder on console. So if it all of a sudden had pc killers switch to go against console survivors not only will match making be longer but it will be unfair

  • @TheLastGreatStar said:

That's what I thought. So if I buy levels, I can unlock the higher tier stuff (like Davids new vest top) without actually having to do the work? If so, how do I unlock levels? As when I looked I had the option to unlock things with the points I had earned so far or buy the pass. I just didn't want to buy the pass yet, if I couldn't actually unlock any of the cosmetics I actually wanted. The new David vest must be mine! ?

If your cosmetics are on the free track you can buy the tiers, if not you'd have to buy the premium to get it by buying tiers

  • Well what do you think that has done to console nurses then.. she is still way stronger on pc than console. If you think I'm wrong check the data

  • @Jimsalabim said:

get over it squirrel... this is not a shooter; there are no big disadvantages for console players versus pc players.... trust me a lot of potatoe players on pc. It would be a massive deal if they do this because we get instant queue again like in the past. fast matches with a big player base. i sign for that

nurses? Different techs? It's completely different across platforms man

I think it’s an old ancestor or demon. No matter what or who the killer is it’s going to look demonic.

That would be cool, instead of a nun like a lot of people thought, maybe the demon resurrected someone from a grave or tomb.

It would look pretty cool if the killer had exposed bones and looked dead

If DbD is to cling to the pathetic lie that it is a casual game and not competitive (they say this because if they held tournaments everyone would see the competitive aspect is a ######### JOKE) they NEED to remove the ranking system, or at least remove it from players eyes.

Being able to see your rank only encourages competitive attitudes and playstyles. It's half the reason we have so much problems with "sweaty" games. If rank was hidden at least you'd never know where you are for sure so the casual environment can actually start to set in.

For sure, but maybe they could just add a casual mode. Because for some, ranking up feels rewarding or like something to strive for.

It's possible. He escaped from the Entity with the Putrid Serum, but who's to say he really did escape. His lab is hidden somewhere in the Entity realm, but nobody knows where. So it could be that the Entity found the lab, and discovered something that gives Vigo a power the Entity could manipulate for it's own ends to get more power. Maybe the serum could make the Entity itself even worse than before.

Idk this sounds stupid because I know they did this to let the game not be held hostage but maybe giving the entity the endgame collapse powers? Who knows lol

  • @jus_Ignant said:

I didn't seem to have a problem with any of them oddly enough.

Kill all survivors in a single match wasn't difficult, didn't have to mori them. Just hooked em.

The EGC one took me two times to finally get. The 2nd time I said screw it and went Infinite EW3 Myers.

The survivor ones were all pretty easy this go around.

If people had a lot of trouble or complaining on this one I can't wait to see the whiny baby threads if they get progressively harder.

Exactly man these were all pretty easy, I actually enjoyed doing a challenge

  • @TunnelVision said:

I have two join challenges which i found utterly awful to complete. The first being catch two survivors in trappers traps in the same trial.... absolutely hated this!!

Second being make 3 great skill checks using the perk 'This is not happening' in the same trial... Don't know if it's just me but hitting great skill checks on PS4 is utterly painful!

Both would've been annoying for me but basement tapper is really good with dark traps, and for this is not happening I used no mither and got it out of the way pretty fast

  • @Mikeasaurus said:

Actually, there is lore on the Alchemist (AKA Vigo). He's the one who supposedly created the Black Locks (Trapdoors) but the entity stole them. He's also the one who entered the Entity's realm of his own free will in an attempt to research it, but found that he slowly lost his sanity as he realised that he was trapped and no matter what, he would never die. It's possible that he is the next killer. Perhaps he's finally gone insane from being trapped against his will, unlike other survivors who were pulled into the realm. Maybe he struck a deal with the Entity in return for his freedom, or what he thinks is freedom since we all know, the Entity will never realease anyone trapped there

If he is the killer, maybe he wanted to have a chance with the serum again, or when he said that he was in the area where you were neither dead or alive, just there, then maybe the serum he got during there was a gift from the entity. But not without a catch. I could be completely wrong though I might've understood the stories wrongly

  • I feel as though they will save that for later. Like whenever people fully finish the tomes and unlock his full story, then they would release him. But for now it seems from the sound files it might be a ancient being or a nun. But who knows everything's up for grabs (except rins dad lol)

  • No dude lol, unless you're trolling, all items are unrefundable. That's that

I have an answer for that....

You see, I've both had bad internet and teammates with bad internet. And you know what my conclusion is?

If you have bad internet, stay away from multiplayer games until you get it corrected. END OF STORY

I tell people in the lobby when they say they might drop because of bad internet to please leave, because I don't need the team to be potentially short-handed. That's just ######### rude man.

When my internet is crapping out and having a bad day, I play something else. It's rude to keep trying to play a multiplayer game when you have crap internet and know it.

Note i said start out with a small penalty. So you get a chance to realize "hey, maybe I shouldn't be doing this because my internet is crap tonight"

But if you persist to try and play despite your issues over the course of a couple days, you deserve a much harsher penalty for being so goddamn rude to your fellow players.

I'm not saying I have a bad connection but when I do, I do what you say, but for newer players it would be not only irritating for de-pipping when your internet messes up even just from one game but if they were to be suspended for a period of time, it could be a push factor of the game.

  • I think you are in low ranks because of using over charge, later in ranks people horn overcharge easily and it's a waste of a perk slot and time, try using pop goes the weasel or blood warden if you see yourself getting into end game scenarios a lot.

  • @FrenziedRoach said:

Institituting a crackdown on habitual disconnects would be my top priority. I'd start with a 15 minute cooldown to getting new lobbies anytime you disconnect. Start doing it more often than that, the cooldown will get longer. Make a career of it, you might need to find a different game.

Mechanically, the game isn't as big of a mess for the average player as people like to make it out to be. The thing that turns me off the most is the player-base.

You can't always depend on that system though, some people have bad internet and it is not their fault, dealing with this in R6 made me not want to play the game anymore
